• Bobby Labonte returns from a weekend away from the racetrack to fan-favorite Bristol Motor Speedway with a renewed sense of determination to build on solid finishes and strong runs for the team.

• The Food City 500 will mark Labonte’s 34th start at Bristol Motor Speedway where he’s scored three top-5’s and 10 top-10’s.

• This No. 71 Chevrolet Impala SS, chassis number 248, will be making its 2010 on-track debut at Bristol.

•TaxSlayer.com will once again serve as primary sponsor of Bobby Labonte and the No. 71 TRG Motorsports team as NASCAR fans across the country move closer to the deadline for filing income taxes.

Behind the Wheel with Bobby Labonte

“Bristol is known for producing great racing for the fans, and I don’t expect this race to be any different. It will definitely be interesting to see how the racing will change since the track has increased the length of the safer barriers in turns two and four. We’re going to have about 3 feet less to race on, and even though that doesn’t sound like much, that’s a lot of real estate when you’ve got 42 cars beating and banging.”

“I think the biggest key to success at Bristol is having a good qualifying run so you can – hopefully – be ahead of the pack and stay out of trouble. If you can stay out of the mess as much as possible and have a clean race, then you can have a lot of fun.”

From the Box – Doug Randolph

“I’m from Tennessee, so it’s always nice for me to get to go back to my home state when we go to Bristol. The track is so much fun for the fans, and there’s always great racing there. We haven’t seen anything shorter than 1.5 miles so far this year, so I’m excited to go to a short track.”

“The banking that we have now at Bristol means that cars can run two-wide pretty easily, so there should be some great side-by-side action. With there being a little less room with the extended safer barriers, I’m sure it’s going to be easy for tempers to flare, so you’ve really got to keep your driver calm and focused through all 500 laps of the race.”

From the Owner – Kevin Buckler

“We’ve had a great weekend off, but it’s time to get back to the track and we’re happy to have TaxSlayer.com on-board with us as we get into the thick of tax season,” Buckler said. “We’ve really been working hard at the shop, and RCR has been helping us as we prepare our cars for the next several races. Bristol is one of my favorite tracks. The atmosphere is unbelievable. We’re planning for a good outing to continue to show that we are the ideal team for sponsors to partner with.
