2014 NSCS Ford EcoBoost 400 First Practice Session Speeds

Brad Keselowski, driver of the #2 Miller Lite Ford, looks on in the garage area - Photo Credit: Patrick Smith/Getty Images NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) driver, Brad Keselowski, with a lap speed of 179.004 MPH, was the fastest Friday afernoon during the first Ford EcoBoost 400 practice session at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Series championship contender, Kevin Harvick, was second fastest with a lap speed of 178.950 MPH, and he was followed by Danica Patrick (178.767 MPH) who was third, Matt Kenseth (178.453) fourth and series Rookie of the Year (ROTY) candidate, Kyle Larson (177.948) was fifth fastest. Rounding out the top-10 fastest drivers in the session were: Kurt Busch (177.772 MPH) who was sixth, Jeff Gordon (177.743) seventh, Jimmie Johnson (177.672) eighth, Ryan Newman (177.620) ninth and Kyle Busch (177.591) posting the 10th fastest lap speed.
