HERMIE SADLER ON CHARLOTTE

“I’m really looking forward to running my second race for Baker Curb Racing. In Richmond, we got off to a little bit of a slow start but by the end of the race we were running top-10 lap times. This time around everything should go much smoother because I’m more familiar with the team and vice versa. We have an open practice on Wednesday, and that will allow me to run several laps and get acquainted with this new car on a bigger track. These new cars drive somewhat similar to the trucks, so having run the truck race at Charlotte in May should help as well. I think the second time around we will be a lot more competitive and I look forward to bringing home a solid finish for Baker Curb in the No. 27 CruiseOne / enMotion Mustang.”

CREW CHIEF JOHN REESE ON CHARLOTTE

“This week in Charlotte will be very beneficial to Baker Curb Racing. Being a small team, we haven’t been able to go out and test the new Nationwide Series cars like a lot of the bigger teams have. We get an extra day of testing this week and all the data that we acquire will be extremely helpful for not only the race on Friday but for when we go to running these cars full time next season. Charlotte is a challenging track. It is very fast and very slick. The track is extremely sensitive to temperature changes, so the Thursday evening practice will be very important because the conditions will be closest to what it will be like in the race. It will be our second race working with Hermie, so we know what he likes on the setup of the car. After making some adjustments in the Richmond race, we had a real strong car so we’ll have a good starting point for Charlotte.”

The Tech-Net Auto Service 300 will be Greg Biffle’s final start behind the wheel of the No. 27 Red Man Moist Snuff Ford Fusion. Over nine starts in the 27 this season Biffle has registered two runner-up finishes, three top 5s and seven top 10s. With a top 10 at Charlotte Biffle will equal the number of top 10s that the No. 27 team had during the entire 2009 season. Scott Wimmer will drive the No. 27 in the stand-alone races at Nashville Superspeedway and Kentucky Speedway. Red Man Moist Snuff cannot be on the car after June 22nd due to a new FDA law that prohibits tobacco brand name sponsorship of any athletic, musical, or other social or cultural event, or any team or entry in those events.

GREG BIFFLE NNS 2010

· Has finished second twice in the NASCAR Nationwide Series this season (ACS 2/20 and RIR 4/30)

· Ranks seventh in the NASCAR Nationwide Series Point Standings despite starting just nine of the eleven races

· Ranks fifth among NNS drivers this season with an average running position of 9.578

GREG BIFFLE NNS CAREER @ CHARLOTTE

· Two time winner in the NASCAR Nationwide Series at Charlotte Motor Speedway, winning the 2001 Little Trees 300 (10/6/01) and the 2003 Little Trees 300 (10/11/03)

· Two time pole award winner in the NNS capturing the pole for the 2004 Carquest Auto Parts 300 (5/29/04) and 2007 Dollar General 300 (10/12/07)

· Has qualified in the top three for each of his last four NNS starts at CMS

· Ranks third among NNS drivers having run the fastest lap 96 times over the last four years of races at CMS

GREG BIFFLE NNS CAREER

· Won the 2002 NASCAR Nationwide Series championship registering four wins and 20 top-5 finishes in 34 starts

· Ranks eighth among active NNS drivers in wins (20) and is fourth among active NNS drivers in top-5 finishes (93)

· Has finished in the top 10 in the NNS point standings six times, despite running the full-season just three times

GREG BIFFLE NNS 2009

· Two NNS wins last season came in back-to-back races he entered (February 28th Sam’s Town 300 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway and April 17th Bashas’ Supermarkets 200 at Phoenix International Raceway)

· Collected nine top-10 finishes in just 14 starts

· Average starting position of 9.3 was his best since 2003 (8.7)

GREG BIFFLE ON CHARLOTTE

“I love Charlotte; it’s a good race track. Earlier in the season we were strong at California and Las Vegas which are similar tracks, so I expect that we’ll have a good run this weekend.”

CREW CHIEF RICK VIERS ON CHARLOTTE

“We’re taking car 86, which is a brand new car. It is a sister car of car 85, which is the car we finished second with at California. We’re very confident in this new car and the body that is on it and feel like it will be a real good car. I watched the All-Star race and tried to learn a few things.

We’ll definitely have to keep an eye on the way the track changes with temperature. I think being an afternoon race will help keep the track near the same conditions at the end as it was at the start of the race. The track is definitely going to rubber up as the race goes along and that will make the car tighter.”

“This is our last scheduled race with Greg in the car so we want to have a strong run. Our biggest motivating factor is to keep performing well and putting a quality product on the track to try and make it easier on the office to bring in new sponsors.”

“We’ve enjoyed running our May Nationwide Series race under the lights in recent years, but many of our fans and parents with young children have asked us to consider an earlier start time,” said Marcus Smith, president and general manager of Charlotte Motor Speedway. “Charlotte Motor Speedway has always been a family-friendly place, and this will make the race even more convenient for fans of all ages, as well as hundreds of boy and girl scouts who make this race an annual outing.”

In addition to the start-time change, the race’s name will be different in 2010 as well. Formerly the CARQUEST Auto Parts 300, the TECH-NET Auto Service 300 will promote CARQUEST’s TECH NET Professional Auto Service program.

“The sponsorship of this event will provide valuable identification for our network of 4,600 independently owned automotive service repair facilities that are members of the TECH NET Professional Auto Service program,” said Al Wheeler, CARQUEST Auto Parts vice president, strategic markets. “Having the race in the afternoon provides an opportunity for families to enjoy a great race.”

The TECH-NET Auto Service 300 is part of the speedway’s Spring Season of Speed that features several premier events, including the NHRA Nationals, Food Lion AutoFair, PINKS All Out and Coca-Cola 600.
FORD 300

NASCAR NATIONWIDE SERIES RACE

AT HOMESTEAD-MIAMI SPEEDWAY, NOVEMBER 21, 2009

· Mike Bliss clinched the 2009 WIX Filters Lap Leader Award in tonight’s Ford 300. Bliss captured WIX Filters Lap Leader of the Race honors in six events this season. He led eight times in eight races for a total of 197 laps. In 178 NASCAR Nationwide Series races, Bliss has led 29 times for 579 total laps.

· Bliss finished the season fifth in the series championship standings.

· Bliss scored one win, seven top-five and 15 top-10 finishes this season. He won race No. 11 at Lowe’s Motor Speedway (Concord, N.C.), the second win of his career. Both of Bliss’ victories have come at Lowe’s Motor Speedway (his other win came there in the 2004 fall race).

Mike Bliss

· BLISS QUOTES: DO YOU EVEN KNOW WHERE TO START TO DESCRIBE THE 2009 SEASON?

“It was the highs and lows. We won Charlotte and had some good runs, we had runs and then I was left without a ride sitting there on a Monday trying to figure out what I was going to do. Just did a couple start and parks to maybe stay in the top-10 in points. I drove a lot of cars, met a lot of people, it was kind of fun. It was actually a fun year the way it’s ending now. I never thought I’d be in the situation I am here kind of knotted up a little bit about trying to stay in the top-five.”

ARE YOU PLEASED WITH THE YEAR THAT YOU’VE HAD?

“Oh yeah and really I couldn’t have done it without driving the CJM car, the 11 Nationwide car. I had some good finishes and some good runs with them and that’s what really helped me out a lot. Without them I probably wouldn’t be here today in this situation.”

DO YOU KNOW WHAT YOU’RE DOING NEXT YEAR?

“No. We don’t have anything. I don’t have anything. There are some teams I’m talking to.”

Jason Keller was the WIX Filters Lap Leader of the Race in tonight’s Ford 300. Keller led once for three laps and claimed the honor for the second time in 2009. He has now led 42 times 1,087 laps in 347 career superspeedway starts. Keller was credited with a 13th-place finish.

RAYBESTOS® ROOKIE HISTORY

· DID YOU KNOW? The most recent Raybestos® Rookie to win a Nationwide Series race is Juan Pablo Montoya. Montoya captured the 2007 Corona Mexico 200 at Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez (Mexico City, Mexico), crossing the finish line .750 seconds ahead of Denny Hamlin (101 races).

· DID YOU KNOW? The most recent Raybestos® Rookie to win a pole position in the Nationwide Series is Justin Allgaier. Allgaier captured the top starting spot for the 2009 Kroger On Track For The Cure 250 at Memphis (Millington, Tenn.) Motorsports Park (three races).

· Landon Cassill won the 2008 Raybestos® Rookie of the Year in the NASCAR Nationwide Series. Cassill finished the season with one pole and five top-10 finishes in 19 starts. He grabbed the top starting spot for the Camping World RV Sales 200 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway (race No. 18). His best finishes were sixth-place efforts at Gateway (Madison, Ill.) International Raceway and Phoenix (Ariz.) International Raceway.

· The most recent streak for at least two Raybestos® Rookies to rank inside the top-10 in the NASCAR Nationwide Series championship standings is 21 consecutive races (2007 race at Kentucky Speedway, race No. 16, through 2008 Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway, race No. 1).

· Roush Fenway Racing has won THREE OF THE LAST FOUR Raybestos® Rookie of the Year titles in the NASCAR Nationwide Series and FOUR since 2001.

2007: David Ragan

2006: Danny O’Quinn Jr.

2005: Carl Edwards

2001: Greg Biffle

Danny O’Quinn Jr. narrowly edged John Andretti to win the 2006 Raybestos® Rookie of the Year title in the NASCAR Nationwide Series. O’Quinn Jr. finished one point higher than Andretti in the final standings, the closet margin in NASCAR national series history. He also became the second driver in series history to win the award without completing the full schedule.

Kyle Busch posted a record-setting year on his way to the 2004 Raybestos® Rookie of the Year title. In 34 starts, Busch won five times, captured five poles and scored 16 top-five and 22 top-10 finishes. His second-place finish in the Nationwide Series championship standings is a record for a Raybestos® Rookie. Other Raybestos® Rookie records Busch owns or shares: most starts (34), most wins (tied with Greg Biffle), most top fives (tied with Greg Biffle), most top 10s, most money won ($2,027,050), most championship points (4,943), most laps led (1,108) and most races led (21).

David Stremme holds the record for fewest starts by a driver to win Raybestos® Rookie of the Year. In 2003, he started just 18 of the 34 races and was the top rookie finisher in 16 of those starts. Stremme scored three top-three finishes and had more top-10 finishes (seven) than any other first-year driver. He led six races for a total of 86 laps.

David Green was the first Raybestos® Rookie to win a Nationwide Series race, at Lanier, Ga., in 1991. Green captured the Nestle 200 by 1.58-seconds over Jeff Gordon, a fellow Raybestos® Rookie. A third Raybestos® Rookie, Todd Bodine, placed eighth in the race.

Dennis Setzer was the first Raybestos® Rookie to win TWO or more races in a season. In 1994, he won the Ford Credit 300 at South Boston (Va.) Speedway and The Pantry 300 at Hickory (N.C.) Motor Speedway.

Speedway, the Detroit Gasket 200 at Michigan International Speedway and the Autolite Platinum 250 at Richmond (Va.) International Raceway.

Kenny Wallace was the first Raybestos® Rookie to win a pole in the Nationwide Series. Wallace grabbed the top starting spot for the 1989 Goody’s 300 at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway, the first race in the history of the Raybestos® Rookie of the Year program.

RAYBESTOS® ROOKIE HISTORY

· DID YOU KNOW? The most recent Raybestos® Rookie to win a Nationwide Series race is Juan Pablo Montoya. Montoya captured the 2007 Corona Mexico 200 at Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez (Mexico City, Mexico), crossing the finish line .750 seconds ahead of Denny Hamlin (100 races).

· DID YOU KNOW? The most recent Raybestos® Rookie to win a pole position in the Nationwide Series is Justin Allgaier. Allgaier captured the top starting spot for the 2009 Kroger On Track For The Cure 250 at Memphis (Millington, Tenn.) Motorsports Park (two races).

Montoya captured the 2007 Corona Mexico 200 at Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez (Mexico City, Mexico), crossing the finish line .750 seconds ahead of Denny Hamlin (99 races).

· DID YOU KNOW? The most recent Raybestos® Rookie to win a pole position in the Nationwide Series is Justin Allgaier. Allgaier captured the top starting spot for the 2009 Kroger On Track For The Cure 250 at Memphis (Millington, Tenn.) Motorsports Park.

Steve Park was the first Raybestos® Rookie to win THREE or more races in a season. In 1997, he won the BellSouth Mobility/Opryland 300 at Nashville (Tenn.) Speedway, the Detroit Gasket 200 at Michigan International Speedway and the Autolite Platinum 250 at Richmond (Va.) International Raceway.

NASCAR NATIONWIDE SERIES RACE

AT LOWE’S MOTOR SPEEDWAY, OCTOBER 16, 2009

· Kenny Wallace earned WIX Filters Lap Leader of the Race honors in tonight’s Dollar General 300. Wallace led once for one lap and grabbed the honor for the fourth time this season.

· Wallace has now led a total of 373 laps in 285 superspeedway starts in the NASCAR Nationwide Series.

· Wallace posted a 21st-place finish and UNOFFICIALLY is 14th in the series championship standings.

· Mike Bliss leads Wallace by two races (6-4) in the overall WIX Filters Lap Leader standings.

· WALLACE QUOTES:

“I thought it was real respectable for our team. We work hard and we overachieve. We’ve just got to be a little bit faster. The car handled really good, just needed more speed. Needed a little bit of luck there. I pitted and then the caution comes out. When you’re in our position you try to keep the car packed with fuel and two laps later the caution flag fell. We got what we earned.”

YOU ARE WITH A SMALL TEAM. HOW DIFFICULT IS IT TO COMPETE AT A HIGH DOWNFORCE TRACK LIKE LOWE’S MOTOR SPEEDWAY?

“What we need is about 500,000 more dollars for a little more horsepower. We can make the horsepower we just don’t have the money to make the horsepower. That’s really just what this deal is lacking to give us 10 positions. Over the last month Tony Raines has really been picking up some speed. That’s all we need.”

· Dollar General to sponsor Vickers, Sorenson and the Lowe’s Motor Speedway NNS race: This weekend Dollar General will play a duel sponsor role by adorning the Toyota Camrys driven by Brian Vickers and Reed Sorenson and by serving as title sponsor of the Nationwide Series race at Lowe’s Motor Speedway. The Dollar General 300 action kicks off at 7:30pm ET on Friday night!

· The No. 32 Dollar General team is ready to get back to victory lane! Braun Racing and the No. 32 Dollar General Toyota went to Lowe’s Motor Speedway’s victory lane for the 2008 CARQUEST Auto Parts 300 (May) and are ready to make a return visit!

· Vickers has made eight previous NNS starts at Lowe’s Motor Speedway. He has four top-five finishes and has only finished outside of the top-14 on two occasions. His best start at the Charlotte-based speedway is from the pole position (May, 2003) and his best finish is third (October, 2008). This weekend marks Vickers 16th start this season with the Dollar General team. He has one remaining race scheduled behind the wheel of the No. 32 Toyota: Texas Motor Speedway (November 7).

· Vickers ranks in the top-10 in several Loop Data categories. These categories include: Average running position (3rd), Driver Rating (6th), Fastest Drivers Early in a Run (4th), Fastest Drivers Late in a Run (5th), Fastest Laps Run (8th), Fastest on Restarts (3rd), Fastest Green Flag Speed (5th), Laps Led (10th), Passes in Turn 1 (7th) and Speed in Traffic (3rd).

“With Lowe’s Motor Speedway in our own backyard and lots of friends and family present, this is one of those races that everyone wants to win. We had a great run here in the spring and had a great shot at the win; unfortunately Mother Nature had different plans and shortened our night with the rain. The Braun Racing teams run great here and with Dollar General sponsoring the Nationwide Series race, it would be just awesome to get the win on Friday night!”

Vickers on his pink No. 32 Dollar General Toyota

“I honestly never thought I would drive a pink race car, but I can’t imagine a better reason than to do it to support Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Breast cancer hits home for a lot of us. Members of the Braun Racing family and my Dollar General team have been affected by this awful disease. This weekend I am honored to drive this pink Toyota and will proudly wear my pink fire suit for every person who has bravely battled breast cancer.”

Equipment Information

- The No. 32 Dollar General team will compete with chassis #040 in this weekend’s Dollar General 300 at Lowe’s Motor Speedway.
#040 was last seen on track at Kansas Speedway (September, 2009) where Vickers started the No. 32 Dollar General Toyota from the fourth position. Unfortunately, he was collected in an accident and finished 28th.

- This is the same chassis that Vickers drove at Chicagoland Speedway (July, 2009) where he qualified second, narrowly missing the pole position by only 0.003 seconds! He finished in the third position.

RAYBESTOS® ROOKIE HISTORY

· DID YOU KNOW? The most recent Raybestos® Rookie to win a Nationwide Series race is Juan Pablo Montoya. Montoya captured the 2007 Corona Mexico 200 at Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez (Mexico City, Mexico), crossing the finish line .750 seconds ahead of Denny Hamlin (97 races).

· DID YOU KNOW? The most recent Raybestos® Rookie to win a pole position in the Nationwide Series is Erik Darnell. Darnell captured the top starting spot for the 2009 Northern Tool.com 250 at The Milwaukee (Wisc.) Mile (16 races).

Raybestos® brand brake and chassis parts are produced by affiliated companies in Affinia’s Global Brake and Chassis Group, the leading manufacturer of braking systems and chassis parts in the transportation industry. The brake line includes everything from brake drums to rotors, pads, shoes and hydraulic parts, while the chassis line features tie rods, ball points, idler arms and sway bar links.

International Raceway and Phoenix (Ariz.) International Raceway.

“Our strategy was to stop around lap 40 and try to play the cautions. Rusty [Wallace] kind of asked us to start gambling a little bit more and take some chances. I loved the call. I guess we ended up six laps short. That caution came out and it ran out and couldn’t get fuel back into it. These new fuel pressure systems with this new hard line deal. ECR makes great engines but when they don’t have any fuel they can’t go anywhere.

I’m a little upset, though. I was really hoping that the push truck would get there faster than they did. I could have not lost two laps doing it but Bryan [Berry, crew chief] made a great call. We put a show on for 5 hour and at least we got a WIX award.”

YOU RAN WELL TONIGHT.

“We ended up running well and after how we practiced it’s a testament to Rusty Wallace racing and the perseverance of my boys. They don’t quit.”
