(September 23, 2011) - Eddie Sharp Racing (ESR), currently a one-team operation in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS), announced today that they have acquired a controlling interest in two of Kevin Harvick Inc. (KHI) Truck Series teams.

With the acquisition of the No. 8 and No. 33 KHI trucks, ESR will field three full-time NCWTS teams in 2012. The NCWTS driver line up for ESR will be announced in October. The teams will operate out of Eddie Sharp Racing’s current 40,000 square-foot five-star facility in Denver, N.C.

Eddie Sharp

“The timing couldn’t have been any more perfect,” said team owner Eddie Sharp. “We are ready to take this opportunity head on to utilize what Kevin and DeLana have built. It was a marriage made in heaven, because we were ready to move forward at ESR, and this opportunity worked out perfectly. With KHI, you have a turnkey, successful program at the ready.

“I’m excited about the future of ESR, really excited,” Sharp continued. “We’ll have driver and sponsor lineup announcements coming within the next few weeks. To see everything progress with Kevin and DeLana’s help, and the support from Chevrolet, it’s a dream come true.”

Eddie Sharp Racing’s No. 6 truck is currently 19th in NCWTS owner point standings, only 57 points out of the top 12. The team was created in 2006 as Eddie Sharp envisioned his long-term goals as a team owner. The goal was to contend, not simply compete. That desire drove Sharp to obtain a five-star facility, which is what allowed the team to quickly transition from contender to champion.

Post-Race Notes & Quotes

Homestead-Miami Speedway – November 21, 2009

- Camry driver Kyle Busch earned the 2009 NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) championship when he took the green flag on
Saturday at Homestead-Miami Speedway. The championship marks the first NNS driver’s title for Toyota and the first
NASCAR championship for the 24-year old Las Vegas-native.

- Busch won his ninth NNS race of 2009 and 15th for Toyota this season when he took the checkered flag at Homestead-Miami
Speedway. Busch also become the first driver since 1983 (Sam Ard) to win both the season-finale and the championship in the
series.

- Camry drivers Joey Logano (fourth), Denny Hamlin (fifth), David Reutimann (sixth) and Scott Speed (ninth) also earned top-10
finishes.

- Jason Leffler (18th), Michael Annett (21st), Justin Marks (32nd) and Chase Miller (37th) were also in the field.

- This season, Camry drivers had 15 victories, 68 top-fives, 127 top-10 finishes, and have led 3,854 laps.

<img src="http://www.catchfence.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/2009-Homestead-Nov-NNS-Kyle-Busch-in-Victory-Lane.jpg" alt="Kyle Busch, driver of the No. 18 Z-Line Designs Toyota, celebrates in Victory Lane after winning Saturday's NASCAR Nationwide Series and the Ford 300 at Homestead-Miami Speedway, his 30th win in 173 NASCAR Nationwide Series races.
Finishing Position: 1st

What are you thinking after winning the race and the championship?

“It’s been a while since that’s been done. I don’t mean to be selfish, but that’s the way for these guys to go out. They deserve it. This whole team and all these guys that work so hard on this Z-Line Designs Camry. I can’t thank Toyota enough, I can’t thank Z-Line, NOS Energy Drink, the Nationwide Series, thank all the fans – not just here in Homestead, but across NASCAR’s nation here. Of course Jim (Sexton, president and CEO of Z-Line Designs) and Monica (Sexton) are here to help us celebrate tonight and Marquis
Jets, Gillette and everybody that’s been on board and a part of our program this year. This is huge. My mom and dad are here tonight, my brother came up to me before the race knowing that all we had to do was take the green flag – this is cool. I wish I could have been with Kurt (Busch) in 2004 winning the championship. This one here means a whole lot for Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR) and
everybody at JGR – all the guys that work so hard at building these things, not just in the Nationwide shop, but in the Cup shop, the
fab shop, everybody. Joe and J.D. Gibbs and everybody is here – Norm Miller from Interstate Batteries, it’s just great.”

What were your thoughts with Carl Edwards coming on fresh tires on the last lap?

“It was a little nerving, I knew Carl (Edwards) would be coming with fresh tires – he was really fast. I was hoping Jeff Burton could
hold him up long enough to help burn his tires off a little bit before he got free and chased me down. I was just trying to hit my marks every single time. I finally found something, I couldn’t find it all race long and in the broadcast I said I couldn’t find anything.
Finally, with about 40 (laps) to go I found something there and kept running in that lane.

It prevailed and it paid off for us. I was able to keep my momentum going and keep those guys behind me. He bonsaied me there and I wasn’t quite sure if we were going to connect there. What a close race that might have been for the fans to watch and everybody – I’m sure it was exciting on TV knowing Carl (Edwards) and what he did at Kansas last year. Glad he missed us and we were able to come out on top.”

<img src="http://www.catchfence.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/2009-Homestead-Nov-NNS-Kyle-Busch-drives-with-championship-flag_thumb.jpg" alt="After receiving the checkered flag for winning Saturday's NASCAR Nationwide Ford 300, Kyle Busch, driver of the No. 18 Z-Line Designs Toyota, celebrates by waving the championship flag in the car around Homestead-Miami Speedway in Homestead, Fla. (Photo Credit: Jason Smith / Getty Images for NASCAR)

How was tonight’s race for you?

“It was a tough race for sure. We weren’t the best car here for a long time. All the guys made some great race calls, Jason (Ratcliff,
crew chief) and everybody else. That’s why we’re a championship team and that’s why we made it here tonight is because these guys can fight through stuff and we made some adjustments to the car that really brought it to life and I was able to pass those guys on that restart and get up towards the front and lead those laps. When that last caution came out, I knew Carl (Edwards) was going to try to do the same thing that I just did. I was worried that he was going to get back to us.”

Does this championship make running races in all three series worth it?

“It is, it’s definitely worth it. I love being able to race as many vehicles as I can and this championship right here defines all that and
being able to race as many vehicles as I can race and still be able to produce – I feel like a lot of these tracks I’m good at. About every track I’m good at. There’s not really a track that I’m super at and then a track that I’m not that good at. I’m just good at all of them. Being able to do that and work with these guys and make our cars better.”

Where does this rank in your career accomplishments?

“This is the biggest one – this is it. It hasn’t sunk in yet and it probably won’t for a couple of days. Carl (Edwards) told me before the race, ‘When I won the championship it didn’t mean that much to me the day of, but once it got to the following season and you were called champ or reigning champ or whatever, it really means a lot and really hits home.’ Thank Nationwide for the series and for
helping support the series and all they’ve done for us. It’s a great year and it’s a tribute to all these guys. Everybody at JGR (Joe
Gibbs Racing) and all these guys on this team – everybody at the fab shop, the engine shop, chassis shop. These cars are phenomenal and it takes a lot of work in order to get these done. We’ve had a really strong season and those guys behind us had a really strong season as well – it wasn’t that we just barely lucked into this thing. We won it and we won it in good style.”

What does it mean that the last series champion to win the final race was Sam Ard?

“That brings a smile to my face, just the relationship that I’ve had with Sam (Ard) and what I’ve been able to talk to him so far.

That’s the history of this sport – that’s what those guys are all about. Sam (Ard) and I have some records together and I’ve broken some of his and I’ve broken other people’s records, but none of them mean as much as being able to win a race at the season finale and really solidify your championship and put icing on the cake.”

JASON RATCLIFF, crew chief, No. 18 Z-Line Designs Toyota Camry, Joe Gibbs Racing

How does it feel to be a championship crew chief?

“Incredible. When you stop and think about it, it becomes a little bit emotional. To think about what we’re able to do – the blessings
that we’ve been blessed with all season long. Kyle (Busch) and this whole team, what we’ve been able to accomplish as a group. I
don’t know, I don’t have the words for it right now. It’s just awesome to be able to put those goals up there in front of us and go out there and achieve them. We did everything we set out to do and then even more than we expected. I don’t know if we can ever have another season like this, but we’re going to try.”

What can you say about the records that Kyle Busch has broken this season?

“He’s (Kyle Busch) incredible. He deserves every record he broke and his name deserves to by it. We’re just glad that we could be a
part of it. This group of guys, I’ve been working with this group for more than four years now and they just never quit. They just keep on, keep on, keep on. We kind of challenge each other. Kyle (Busch) challenges us when we finish second and then we challenge him in situations like tonight where we make a decent call and get him out front and then he’s got to step up on the wheel and show what he’s all about.”

JOE GIBBS, team owner, Joe Gibbs Racing

What does it mean to win the Nationwide championship?

“I think these are things that — the great things in life are the memories that you have and that you don’t forget, and I remember
standing out one time after a Super Bowl, and I turned to Charles Manning, and he said to me, the thrill was getting here, everything
that you had to do to get here, all the times you’ve fought, and you have a wreck, you have this, you have that, things that happen. The thing I told Kyle before we started, to me what impresses me is this car ran great all year. I mean, super all year, and we went all the way to the last race before we could win the championship. So it shows you how hard this is.”

J.D. GIBBS, president, Joe Gibbs Racing

What does this championship mean for your team?

“This is such a big deal for us and these are so hard to come by. I think Nationwide, Cup – it’s just a blessing for us. To watch Kyle
(Busch) and the way he worked through the season and worked with Jason (Ratcliff, crew chief) and all the guys coming together -
that’s a big deal. For us, we’ll celebrate this and this one is going to last quite a while.”

What has Kyle Busch learned about winning championships?

“What he’s kind of learned over here, we’ve taken a lot of seconds, a lot of thirds – they’re not fun to take. On the Cup side, that’s
taking your fifths, your 10ths, and you just learn that when you’re running for a championship there’s certain things that are required
there.”

No. 20 Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Toyota Camry

JOEY LOGANO, No. 20 GameStop Toyota Camry, Joe Gibbs Racing

Finishing Position: 4th

How was tonight’s race for you?

“It was a rough one. We weren’t good enough to win by no means. We got out in the lead for a little bit, but I knew we weren’t good enough to be up there. We finished fourth and that’s where we ran. I think that’s where we should have run. I felt like there at the end when the leaders pitted and we stayed out, I said, ‘We ain’t going to win the way we are so let’s go for the gold and try something different.’ That didn’t work for us so then we got the last caution and we tried to go for the gold again and get some new tires. My race car just wasn’t fast enough, we were digging hard. Everyone did a great job, just missed it by a little bit. Carl (Edwards) and Kyle (Busch) were really the best cars, 29 (Jeff Burton) was really good too. We’ll take it. We ran fourth, we finished fourth so it is what it is.”

Denny Hamlin

DENNY HAMLIN, No. 11 GodSpeaks.com Toyota Camry, CJM Racing

Finishing Position: 5th

How good was your race car tonight?

“We just had a crack in the header right there when we were trying to get our lap back and it just wore through and killed our
horsepower. All in all it is still a great day for us. I felt like we had something for those guys but that horsepower loss that we had
through the exhaust it really hurt us there towards the end.”

What happened when you got into the back of Brad Keselowski?

“Yeah, the sun was real bad at that point and I really couldn’t see a whole lot. I think the fans right there, they got their money’s worth today.”

What was your plan at the beginning of the race?

“I was just trying to worry him (Brad Keselowski) to death and force him into a mistake and that’s what he did. As soon as I got
behind him he drove in really, really deep and I said, ‘He’ll never make the corner.’ And he ended up getting into the wall. To me it’s
a victory for all of the guys who he’s taken out over the last 10 weeks. There’s a lot of guys — I was out there and a lot of guys took swipes at him and missed today so to be honest with you I’m surprised he was even able to drive it in.”

Are you disappointed with the penalty that NASCAR gave you?

“No, not at all. That’s the thing, if you do something obvious and blatant which I did you would expect a penalty and I’ll be honest
with you I thought it was going to be two laps. So one lap I wasn’t feeling too bad about. I knew we could come back from it and our car was still in one piece. That’s the thing, I wouldn’t try to cause harm to anyone and I knew spinning him (Brad Keselowski) at the point that I was that he wasn’t going to get hurt and his car wasn’t going to get hurt. I just wanted to make his day a little bit tougher.”

How did your car handle during the race?

“It was a long day. We fought and we fought to try to get it and those long green-flag runs just really hurt us to getting the track
position that we needed. Luckily we had a caution at the end that helped with that and we just had too many issues. That mechanical failure with the headers that cracked just killed our horsepower. So when we needed all of the horsepower that we needed at the end it just couldn’t keep up with those guys.”

Throughout the season, Lofton, behind the wheel of the No. 6 ESR prepared Toyota, scored five pole awards, six race wins, 15 top-five and 19 top-10 finishes spanning the season’s 21 events.

The question now is, who will carry on the tradition?

23-year-old Lofton, in addition to his crew chief Mark Rette, who earned the Cometic Crew Chief of the Year award in 2009, will be moving to NASCAR Camping World Truck Series competition with Red Horse Racing in 2010, leaving the championship-winning ride vacant.

“As much as I hate to see either one of them go, it’s what we do. It’s what motivates me to not only take on the challenge of helping these drivers move on, but to put together an entire team worth of people. It’s motivating and it’s a positive thing. It shows the caliber of people that come here,” Sharp said.

Regardless of who has come and gone over the last few seasons, one thing has remained the same, the top competition bred from within the Eddie Sharp Racing race shop. Since its inception in 2005, the Denver, North Carolina-based ESR organization has set itself apart from the competition by becoming the place for up and coming talent.

Though he makes it looks easy these days as he leads his three-car stable, car owner Sharp’s rise within motorsports was at times daunting. Rather than taking on a four-wheeled speed demon for his introduction, Sharp took a different route, that by the way of water, racing hydroplane boats in his native Florida.

It wasn’t long however before Sharp ventured into the cockpit of a stock car and his career followed the familiar racing path into North Carolina. In 1993, Sharp made his NASCAR debut, running two races in what was then known as the Busch Series.

With Ken Schrader and Johnny Benson as mentors, Sharp then started his own team in the American Speed Association, a short track division that bred racers such as Benson, Mark Martin and Rusty Wallace.

After his stint in ASA, Sharp decided to climb out from behind the wheel and took on the role of crew chief. In 1999 Sharp called the shots for Bill Baird in the ARCA RE/MAX Series en route to the championship.

Over the next few seasons, Sharp reinstated his car owner title, only this time in ARCA. Simultaneously, he continued to crew chief, including a stint in the Sprint Cup Series.

In 2006 Sharp envisioned his long-term goals as a team owner and began the first steps in achieving them by building a 20,000 square foot race shop in Denver, N.C. And it wasn’t long before ESR grew a reputation for developing young talent. Over the last three years, Sharp has helped usher in the careers of Scott Lagasse, Chase Miller, T.J. Bell, Michael McDowell, and most recently, 2009 Champion Justin Lofton.

Over the last three seasons, the team has notched close to 20 race wins. In addition to the championship in 2009, ESR notched impressive stats across the board. Between its three teams, the company produced a whopping 33 top-10 finishes, with two drivers (Lofton and rookie Craig Goess) finishing within the top five in the point standings. After finishing second and third in the previous two seasons, the team also wrapped up the owner’s championship in 2009.

With not just one, but possibly three rides open for 2010, Sharp is on the lookout for the next young talent to carry on the winning tradition that his team has become synonymous for.

Additional 2009 Honors for Eddie Sharp Racing

- Justin Lofton, Aaron’s Lap Leader – led 1,005 laps spanning 15 races

- Justin Lofton, car owner Jessica Sharp, Hoosier Tire Superspeedway Challenge

- Justin Lofton, Jessica Sharp, Eddie Sharp Racing, car owner’s championship

- Mark Rette, Cometic Crew Chief of the Year

- Mark Rette, Klotz Engine Mechanic

- Rookie Craig Goess, fifth place points finish, 12 top-10 finishes

- First year stock car driver Tim George Jr., 11th place points finish, two top-10 finishes

Post-Race Notes & Quotes

Texas Motor Speedway – November 7, 2009

Kyle Busch won Saturday’s NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) race at Texas Motor Speedway.
It was Busch’s fourth consecutive NNS victory at Texas.

Busch led the field six times for 179 laps (of 200) at the one-and-a-half-mile oval en route to victory lane.
In the last four NNS races at Texas, Busch has led 657 of 800 laps.

Jason Leffler (third), Brian Vickers (seventh) and Mike Bliss (10th) also earned top-10 finishes for Toyota.

Camry drivers Trevor Bayne (13th), Michael Annett (22nd), Joey Logano (24th), Kasey Kahne (24th) and Chase Miller
(39th) were also in the field.

This season, Camry drivers have recorded 14 victories, 64 top-fives, 119 top-10 finishes, and have led 3,628 laps.

Busch extended his lead in the unofficial NNS point standings to 272 points over second-place Carl Edwards with two races
remaining this season.

Finishing Position: 1st

How does this win feel?

“I wanted to win this, not just get it, you know. They gave it to me, but I wanted to win it. We outwrestled all these guys with
this ‘Smackdown vs. Raw’ Camry. I want to thank Z-Line Designs, NOS Energy Drink, Gillette, Direct TV, the fans of course
and all the guys on this team. This track is fun. It’s fun when you have good cars, of course. These guys do a phenomenal job
for me. Dave (Rogers, crew chief) on the Cup side for tomorrow, they do a great job too working their butts off this weekend. I
feel like we have a decent car right now. Maybe not a winning car now, but a decent car where we can contend and if things fall
our way we can do it.”

What do you think of the nice first-place prizes you take home from here?

“It is — very nice mementos. Pretty awesome. We love coming out to Texas. This is for some reason one of my best race
tracks. I seem to really like getting around here. This car was flawless again today. We’ve had cars that have been flawless like
this for the past four races here. This is a testament to this team. They do such an awesome job preparing these cars with all the
extra hours at the shop and all the guys that do a great job. There’s one guy that’s not here in victory lane right now that we
really what to thank, which is Leo (Thorsen) — he’s the car chief on this car. He never comes to victory lane, we don’t know
why, but we’re going to get him in victory lane for our championship celebration next week at Phoenix and at Homestead.”

Kyle Busch

What’s your biggest obstacle when you lead so many laps?

“Trying to pass the guys to get back up towards the front. It was a little treacherous today on the inside of Kevin Harvick early
in the race. The car stuck well enough for me where I didn’t spin out and wreck. I remember Vegas came straight to my mind
when we were battling for the lead and I wrecked. That was a bad week for us. We’ve been running well all year long and
we’ve been able to capitalize on good runs. This is one of the ones that we capitalized on. This is eighth on the year.
Unfortunately, we missed out on 11 others — those were second-place finishes. When you get to victory lane, it’s cool that you
can get your team to victory lane and really celebrate with them because those are the guys that deserve to be here.”

What is it like to be so close to clinching the title?

“It’s pretty cool. I wish I could have gotten it done as soon as possible but as soon as possible is going to come next week. It’s
going to be great, though because luckily NOS will be on the car next week and hopefully we’ll get some championship with
them after clinching and then Z-Line will get the big photo shoot at Homestead after the race is over and everything down there.
It’s an awesome opportunity and a great way to go out this year with two weekends and clinch the championship next week. It
feels awesome. It’s all in these guys and what they do and the hours they spend. Jason (Ratclif, crew chief) reading the books
and the computer and going through all the notes. There’s a lot of guys on this team that really deserve it. They work hard. The
20 team earned the owner’s championship last year and now that the 18 car has got a championship, everybody in the whole
Gibbs shop is championship worthy. It’s pretty cool.”

What has it been like to win 19 times across the top-three series in NASCAR?

“I wish we could have gotten a couple more Cup wins. I felt like there was some opportunity for those. It didn’t work out.
We’ve had a great year. All the Joe Gibbs Racing team drivers won in their hometown, which was pretty cool. Denny (Hamlin)
won at Richmond (Va.), Joey (Logano) won up at Loudon (N.H.) and I won at Vegas. That’s pretty cool, all in the Cup Series
with Joey of course, his first win came there. It’s been a great year for Joe Gibbs Racing overall. It’s been a great year for
myself in all three series.

I’ve run the best I’ve ever run in the Truck Series and have had good trucks every week. Jason
(Ratcliff, crew chief) and these guys have done a good job with our Nationwide cars every week to come unload like that. Our
Cup program has struggled a little bit, but unfortunately sometimes that happens. You look at Matt Kenseth. He won the first
two races of the year and he’s right there with us sitting 13th or 14th. It’s disssappointing but on the other side of things, I think
it was actually a little bit of a good thing that I was able to put more focus towards the Nationwide deal and get the
championship wrapped up over here and not have to worry about both of them. Now the Nationwide deal is done with and we
can go back to focusing more on the Cup effort there and try to get ourselves to championship caliber on that side. Somebody
hast to beat that 48 (Jimmie Johnson).”

Can you win tomorrow?

“We qualified better than we expected — fifth. That’s cool. The car wasn’t bad in practice today. There were some areas where
we felt really good about it. There were some other times where we didn’t feel so good about it. I like what’s going on there. I
think we’ve got about a fifth to 10th-place car right now. If we can just hang there throughout the day and make some changes
to it, have Dave (Rogers, crew chief) learn some things that we can be contenders. If you’re contenders at the end of the race,
you never know. It can be a fuel mileage race, you can be on the right strategy. If you keep yourself in contention, you can
come out with a win. If the luck is on our side, and we play it smart then we could come out of here three for three and that
would be pretty special. The closest I’ve gotten is a first, first and third at California earlier this year. Maybe we can try to
come two spots better tomorrow.”

How much does your success in Nationwide Series help you get over missing the Chase?

“It makes it better when you’ve got the Cup guys that come over to race with you on the Nationwide Tour. If it was just me
racing against the rest of the guys, then it would look kind of silly. I still have — Casey Mears today ran a great race and finished
second. But, we still have guys like Jeff Burton, Clint Bowyer — I can’t even name them all — Greg Biffle, Matt Kenseth, you
know them. Since all those guys come over and race with us that’s what makes it fun because you go out there and you can beat
those guys and you know they’re at Roush, RCR — who dominated this thing a few years ago — they are in good cars.

You know that you’re not an idiot and you know you can’t drive — at least it makes it a little easier when you look at things. Still you
want to be the best of the best on the Cup tour and ultimately that’s what Jimmie’s (Johnson) been able to hit on and I always
bring up his name probably in about every interview, but you have to idolize the guy. Who can win four straight titles in this
type of era? Not even Jeff Gordon could do it. It’s a big deal. Those guys have really got it together and one of these days,
whoever beats them, can’t imagine if they go five straight.”

Do any of your statistics from the year impress you?

“The cool thing about it is I don’t look for the records. I do pay attention when it comes up and when you guys bring it up and
stuff. I kind of search around and look for some other things, to sort of impress myself upon. You know, I don’t know if this
year is the highest point total accumulated or not, but I feel like we’re pretty darn close. I think that’s pretty cool that we’ve
been able to get that many points in a season and there have been so many areas where we can improve on. You know what
would be impressive is if those 11 second-place finishes were wins — that would be 19 wins. That’s what’s stupid. That’s
what’s silly. If that could have been. The only thing worse than finishing second on a day is when you finish second and
something to a pregnant woman and then you’re third. That’s what sucks.”

JASON RATCLIF, crew chief, No. 18 Z-Line Design Toyota Camry, Joe Gibbs Racing

What are your thoughts on today’s victory?

“This was a new car for us. The car we raced the last two races here we weren’t able to bring it back, unfortunately. Fontana.
We built a new car and the guys in the fab shop did a great job trying to repeat the aero numbers of what we typically race here.
I actually like it a little better. The car seemed to respond pretty good. We just went off our notes from what we had here in the
past and it worked. In practice we were pretty good off the truck and we found a couple things there late in the practice that just
took us to the next level. Like Kyle (Busch) said, all day the car was pretty good. We made some changes there that I think
made it a little bit better. Of course, the competition was getting better all race long and we were able to maintain about a ten,
two-tenths all race long. Another good day for us again in Texas. It’s a fun place to win. Hopefully we can come back in the
spring and do it again.”

No. 38 Great Clips Toyota Camry

JASON LEFFLER, No. 38 Great Clips Toyota Camry, Braun Racing

Finishing Position: 3rd

How was your race?

“The first two runs we were really tight. Scott Zipadelli (crew chief), I can’t thank him enough and my boys enough on the
Great Clips Camry. Everybody at Braun did a great job for me today to run third at Texas. It’s pretty awesome for us. I just got
loose with two (laps) to go. I was just driving and I don’t know why I was driving so hard. I was pulling away from the 29
(Casey Mears), but I wasn’t catching the 18 (Kyle Busch). I was trying to run consistent laps and I think I ran on the apron a
little bit and it about took me out of the race. The guys did a great job on pit road. They got me up there. It was a great
weekend for us, we qualified well and once we got the car adjusted up it moved well.”

What happened when you got down near the apron?

“We ran really well. At the end I got loose and in that one spot I think I ran over the apron a little bit. The guys did a great job.
My car was fast all weekend and once Scott (Zipadelli, crew chief) got it adjusted up for me at the second stop we were hauling
butt. I came in on that last pit stop and we gained a bunch of spots. These guys have done a great job on pit road for us all year
long. I have to thank everybody from Great Clips for coming out and supporting us. It was a great day for us and to run third
here was pretty awesome. It was a lot of fun.”

Jason Leffler

Can you reflect on racing against Kyle Busch every weekend?

“We run our own race, we run for our own championship. Realistically three or four races in you could tell that the Gibbs team
was going to be pretty dominant and from that point on we just focus on our own program. They’re hard to beat and it showed
again today. If we ran second to them every week then we could worry about beating them.

Right now we’re worrying about running top-five. My team has done a great job at doing that. Over the off season we’ll prepare better and we’ll keep working on trying to beat those guys. That’s our goal, obviously is to win races and to do that you’re going to have to beat them. You could tell this year they’re pretty dominant.”

BRIAN VICKERS, No. 32 Dollar General Toyota Camry, Braun Racing

Finishing Position: 7th

MIKE BLISS, No. 11 Ridemakerz Toyota Camry, CJM Racing

Finishing Position: 10th

TREVOR BAYNE, No. 99 Aaron’s Dream Machine Toyota Camry, Michael Waltrip Racing

Finishing Position: 13th

How was your race?

“We ended up pretty decent considering what was going on in the middle of the race. We fell back to like 20th at one point.
The car just couldn’t get any rear grip all week. We fought it in practice, fought it in qualifying and then in the race. We made
some big changes, so it’s something weird. It’s not like a mechanical deal. We were running a new style body here. The
numbers were really good on it but sometimes the wind tunnel is different than the race track, so we’re going to go back and
figure out if it’s the body or what it was. I think it’s something weird about it because no changes made a difference on the rear
end grip. We’ll get it figured out. It’s not a bad finish considering how we had to work all day to get to 13th.”

MICHAEL ANNETT, No. 15 Germain Racing Toyota Camry, Germain Racing

Finishing Position: 22nd

JOEY LOGANO, No. 20 GameStop Toyota Camry, Joe Gibbs Racing

Finishing Position: 24th

KASEY KAHNE, No. 10 Great Clips Toyota Camry, Braun Racing

Finishing Position: 30th

CHASE MILLER, No. 47 Toyota Camry, JTG Daugherty Racing

Finishing Position: 39th

Post-Qualifying Notes & Quotes

No. 38 Great Clips Toyota Camry

JASON LEFFLER, No. 38 Great Clips Toyota Camry, Braun Racing

Starting Position: 3rd

How was your car in qualifying?

“It was good, it was wide open. The Arrington engine, Toyota engine made a lot of power and it ran really good and it showed
here. The car is good and stable in race trim so I’m looking forward to the race tomorrow.”

How has your season been for your team?

“It’s been a huge improvement since last season. We’re all proud of that. I think we ran so well early on in the Spring that we
expected to win a race by now and then through the summer we had some harder times. The thing is to finish the year off like
we ran in Memphis. We ran third, we qualified well here tonight and we have a good race car. If we can do that, we can build
over the winter for next year and win some races.”

KASEY KAHNE, No. 10 Great Clips Toyota Camry, Braun Racing

Starting Position: 4th

KYLE BUSCH, No. 18 Z-Line Design Toyota Camry, Joe Gibbs Racing

Starting Position: 6th

Brian Vickers

BRIAN VICKERS, No. 32 Dollar General Toyota Camry, Braun Racing

Starting Position: 9th

How’s your Camry so far this weekend?

“It was loose. The package we’re running is going to be good for the race but it’s definitely not very conducive to these
conditions. The track’s really fast, the loads pick up and you’re trying to run around here wide open. I think we’ll be good in
the race. Qualifying during the day definitely would have been better for us, but it’s still a decent run.”

Can you recap your season with Braun Racing?

“It’s been a great season. I had a lot of fun. A little frustrated we haven’t won a race this year with Braun, we’ve come so close
so many times and led a lot of times. Ultimately it’s the trophy we’re after so hopefully we can solve that problem tomorrow.”

How was your qualifying run?

“I guess it was alright. I expected a little more speed, but it was a little bit free. The track has a lot more grip and we gained a
lot more front grip than I thought — and I thought it would be a little bit tighter. It was good. It drove the same all the way
around. We’ve got a good race car for the race.”

Did you have any problem with the wind?

“It slowed down since we started (qualifying). It was blowing pretty hard when we started, but I don’t think it’s as bad right
now.”

TREVOR BAYNE, No. 99 Aaron’s Dream Machine Toyota Camry, Michael Waltrip Racing

Starting Position: 11th

How did your car handle during qualifying?

“I don’t know how we can get much more speed out of it. I was close to flat-footing it all the way around. I guess it’s just the
movement of the car. It was moving around. I guess I scrubbed some speed off. I expected a little better than that. We can’t
complain about it much. Hopefully, the changes we made will be better in race trim — you sacrifice some qualifying with that.
It’s not bad and we’ll see where it takes us here.”

Carter replaced Brandon Whitt in the team’s No. 61 Ford in June and raced in 15 events for the team. He was credited with a 29th-place finish at Lowe’s Motor Speedway last weekend, though he said Chase Miller finished the race.

“We’re done,” Carter said in a telephone interview. “Things have been going downhill real fast the past couple of weeks. [Team co-owner] Doug Taylor told me he just can’t keep trying to race like he’s been doing. He just wants to go start-and-park these last four races with somebody else driving.”

Carter said he wasn’t offered the chance to start and park, and he said he “wasn’t really interested in doing it anyway.”

“I told him that,” Carter said. “It’s just gotten real bad there. I want to race, but I don’t want to keep doing like we’ve been doing.”

TOYOTA NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS)

Post-Race Notes & Quotes

Auto Club Speedway – October 10, 2009

- Joey Logano won his fifth race of 2009 in Saturday’s NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) event at Auto Club Speedway.
Logano started from the pole position and led three times for 20 (of 152) laps — including the final seven laps.
Camry driver Brian Vickers (second) also earned a top-five at California.

- Camry driver Michael Annett (sixth) earned his career best result on Saturday.

- Toyota drivers Trevor Bayne (19th), Brian Scott (23rd), Scott Speed (27th), Jason Leffler (30th) and Chase Miller were
also in the field.

- Kyle Busch (31st), who has had a fever this weekend, was replaced in the No. 18 Camry by Denny Hamlin on lap 39. The
No. 18 Camry led 66 (of 152) laps today.

- Busch continues to lead the NNS point standings following California and is now 155 points ahead of second-place Carl
Edwards. Leffler (fourth) is also in the top-five in points after 30 of 35 races.

JOEY LOGANO, No. 20 GameStop Toyota Camry, Joe Gibbs Racing

Finishing Position: 1st

What happened when you made contact with Greg Biffle early in the race?

“I didn’t think we had a shot at (the win) after (Greg) Biffle tried to put us in the wall. Apparently, that’s the only way he
thought he could beat us, but you can’t put this 20 thing down. I can tell you what, we never quit — kept digging all day. I
definitely didn’t think we had a shot at it. That was just amazing. These guys are amazing. I have to thank the fans, thank
GameStop, Sport Clips, Z-Line, Coca-Cola and all the guys back at the shop that put this thing together. It’s an awesome race
car and it’s fun to race. That was the most fun race I’ve ever had in my life and I didn’t think I had a shot at this. I tried to
salvage a top-10 out of it to bring home a ‘W.’”

Was this victory a team effort?

“I tell you what, that was the coolest race of my life. The coolest by no doubt in my mind — that was awesome. I never, I went
to the point in that race that I was going to try to salvage a top-10 out of it and all of a sudden I’m sitting third and all of a
sudden I took the lead and I thought, ‘I got a shot at this thing!’ I can’t believe it. That was cool after we get put in the fence
and almost ruined our day we were able to fight back at a track like this — that was really cool and aero means a lot. It really
hurt my car a lot. I think this is the best way to get them back.”

Were you racing today like this was a short track and not a two-mile oval?

“There’s a lot of wreck on the race cars. That’s the cool thing about this race track, the top-five cars were running single file
on that straight away and they go in the corner and they fan out four wide. It’s all trying to come off the corners where all the
trouble is and to see all that happening. I didn’t think we had a shot at it and we made that last pit stop there at the end, get
some fresh tires on it and I was wondering how good they were going to hold off. Apparently, it was just enough.”

How do you feel about picking up the win today?

“It was crazy to say the least. The start of the race, I felt like we were okay. We needed to do a little bit of work to the car, but
I felt like we had a really good car. On the restart, the 16 (Greg Biffle) got underneath us and decided to fence me down the
straight away for no apparent reason. I was pretty livid about that. Dave (Rogers, crew chief) was trying to calm me down.
Eventually, we were able to work on the car. I tried to get it back to what we had. It was t ough to get there. It seemed like it
never was the same for the rest of the race. We were in a late race pit stop, got some new tires on that thing and we were able
to drive back to the front. That was crazy. That was not the race I thought I was going to have a shot at winning today. I was
sitting back there in 15th and I was hoping I could salvage a top-10 out of this thing. All of a sudden, I was passing for the
lead. That was really cool. I had a blast doing it.”

How does your anger affect you on the race track?

“Dave (Rogers, crew chief) tries to tick me off every race, and he didn’t have to do that this time (laughter). I don’t know why.
I guess I dig a little harder. I think it happens to a lot of people. You get mad and you find a little bit more. The best revenge
is putting that thing in victory lane.”

DAVE ROGERS, crew chief, No. 20 GameStop Toyota Camry, Joe Gibbs Racing

What were your thoughts on today’s race?

“The same thing I said all week, Joey Logano has so much heart and it proves that you never give up, no matter what you’re
doing. You just keep digging and get the best out of it. I’m really proud of this GameStop Toyota race team. All the guys on
pit road — making the adjustments, working on the body. Our spotter, Mark Robinson, really kept Joey (Logano) and I calm
down at points and then Joey just driving the wheels off at the end.”

J.D. GIBBS, President, No. 20 GameStop Toyota Camry, Joe Gibbs Racing

What are your thoughts on today’s race?

“It kind of went back and forth. Obviously, real discouraging for Denny (Hamlin) and Kyle (Busch) to be running that well
and have the issue at the end. That was a heartbreaker. I’m figuring like Joey (Logano) said, if we get a 10th out of it with the
20, then that would be pretty good. We watched and you were 10th, then seventh, you’re fifth, you’re fourth and then I was
thinking we might have a shot at this thing. To watch him come through and do that was really special. We were trying to
figure out — I have to watch it again just to figure out how he did it because that was impressive.”

BRIAN VICKERS, No. 32 Dollar General Stores Toyota Camry, Braun Racing

Finishing Position: 2nd

How was your race today?

“It was a good run. I don’t think we were ever — there was one run where we got out there and led for a while towards the end
of a run. We were better on the long runs than we were on the short runs. We had a good car. Probably the two best cars were
the 18 (Kyle Busch) and the 20 (Joey Logano). They just had a little bit more and that’s kind of been the trend with those guys.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m so proud of the effort by Braun Racing, Dollar General and Toyota, TRD — the whole group of guys
on the team for the resources and what they have. I think they do a tremendous job with them. Obviously, battling two Cup-
affiliated teams with programs that are run like Cup teams, it’s difficult, it’s challenging.

Obviously, those are two really good cars and they show it every week. I think we fought them hard. We had a good run, we raced with them all day long. We took a chance there at the end and pitted and we figured more guys were going to come in behind us and they didn’t so we kind of had an uphill battle to get our track position back. By the time we got there at the end of the race, starting fourth, I felt like we had a good shot at it even though I felt the 20 (Joey Logano) car was a little bit better.

I thought having newer tires would be better off, but I didn’t realize until after the race was over that they told me he pitted two or three laps or six laps I guess prior to that caution (before we pitted). Some of those laps were caution, some were green flag but, nonetheless, he had fairly new tires. The difference between him and I wasn’t significant. I went down in turn one right behind him and I wanted to go to the outside, that was my first reaction, thinking he had older tires because I figured he’d wash out and I’d get under him and pass him coming off the corner. He just booted on through there and we got tight and he got away from us and that’s that.”

Why are these races so wild?

“I think its two things. One, these tracks have a bad rap because as you saw today, they can produce amazing races. You have
a race track where we can run all the way against the wall, we can run on the white line and we can run everywhere in between.
There was one stint there where we were running practically four and five wide for the lead, all picking different leads going
through the corner and then coming back together in the straight aways. I think it makes for great racing. When the tracks
wore out and slick than you can move around and find grip. The double-file restarts to the next point adds a lot to that. It
basically puts you side-by-side and puts you back on even playing field instead of single-file dealing with aero issues. I think
that adds a lot to it as well.”

Did you have something for Joey Logano at the end of the race?

“I felt like we did. I didn’t realize he had tires as well. I thought he was on the same tires as the rest of the guys that didn’t pit
when we came in. Knowing that, I probably would have picked the outside, or I would have tried to pass him on the outside
instead of running behind him. I figured with older tires he’d ride down in there and have to slow down or slide up the race
track a little bit and I’d get under him coming off like I did a lot of the other guys. That was my fault, I should have known
that, I should have asked at least. I just didn’t think he had tires and obviously he already knew he had a good car but I felt like
us having tires would have made the difference, but like I said I didn’t know he was in the same boat.”

MICHAEL ANNETT, No. 15 Germain Toyota Camry, Germain Racing

Finishing Position: 6th

How do you feel about your career-best finish?

“We were definitely happy, that was our best finish of the year, so far. Our team just keeps getting better. My guys impressed
me this weekend. I got a younger crew chief (Ryan Fugle), this is only his second race as my crew chief. We unloaded not
even close and they battled the first two hours of practice getting it and getting it and then that last half hour we thought we had
a good car. We came out today and everything we did to tighten it up yesterday and we couldn’t make a corner because we
were so tight. We just couldn’t get free enough.”

Was the outside line important in today’s race?

“One thing I know today was how important it was to be in the outside line of a restart. If I was on the bottom I knew that I
was probably going to lose two or three spots and we battled that whole run to get them back. But when we could restart on the
outside, we could get two or three spots going down the backstretch and get two more through the run. That was real important
for us. You could see the cars that grew some on the bottom and still could dig off and keep the momentum but that was one
thing we struggled with. I can’t say enough about Germain Racing. We’re out there without a sponsor on the car and digging
and getting the best finishes we’ve had so I can’t be happier.”

TREVOR BAYNE, No. 11 Ridemakerz.com Toyota Camry, CJM Racing

Finishing Position: 19th

BRIAN SCOTT, No. 10 AccuDoc Toyota Camry, Braun Racing

Finishing Position: 23rd

SCOTT SPEED, No. 99 Red Bull Toyota Camry, Michael Waltrip Racing

Finishing Position: 27th

JASON LEFFLER, No. 38 Great Clips Toyota Camry, Braun Racing

Finishing Position: 30th

KYLE BUSCH, No. 18 Z-Line Designs Toyota Camry, Joe Gibbs Racing

Finishing Position: 31st

*** Note: Kyle Busch was replaced by Denny Hamlin during a lap 39 pit stop. ***

Why did you get out of your race car?

“It’s just temperature. When I get in the car and I get hot, I start not being able to see exactly straight. The car was really good
though. The Z-Line Toyota was awesome. Unfortunately I didn’t feel it was in my best interest or the team’s best interest to
win this race to keep going. I probably could have. More laps and getting hotter in the seat probably would have diminished
my performance a little.”

How concerned are you about racing 500 miles here tomorrow?

“That’s another problem, is wanting to get out today in order to compete in the full 500 miles tomorrow. Fortunately, today
we’ve got Denny Hamlin who’s a great relief driver that can drive for me. I can try to go back now and rest up, cool down to
try to get this fever under control and be ready for tomorrow.”

DENNY HAMLIN, relief driver, No. 18 Z-Line Designs Toyota Camry, Joe Gibbs Racing

What happened at the end of the race?

“We were running right in the middle right there and I throttled up off the corner. The 88 (Brad Keselowski), I guess was
having a push, and he was coming into the left rear. So, I was looking in my left side mirror — making sure he didn’t get into
us, and I was keeping my foot on the gas and the 16 (Geg Biffle) got a big run. Evidently, he got a pile on us late right there.
He was there. We just came up and I was trying — if I hold my line low the 88 (Brad Keselowski) ends up wrecking us anyway
off the corner. Either way, it was going to be a bad situation.”

Was this still Brad Keselowski and you battling it out?

“He races hard no matter what and he’s got a big chip on his shoulder — he races that way. It’s everyone going for a win right
there at the end.”

How was it driving Kyle Busch’s race car?

“It’s tough to get in anyone else’s race car, especially, I mean the wheel is different, the seat is different, the belts are different
– there’s nothing the same between us two as far as the stuff that we have on the inside. So, that part’s very hard. The feel of
the car — it was good out there at the end of the race. We just couldn’t seem to take off like we needed to. It just let those guys
get back to us. ”

Post-Race Notes & Quotes

Atlanta Motor Speedway

- Kyle Busch (second) was the highest-finishing Toyota driver in Saturday’s NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) race at
Atlanta Motor Speedway. Busch led four times for 45 laps, and recorded his 15th top-two finish in 2009.

- Joey Logano (sixth), Kasey Kahne (11th), Brian Vickers (13th) and Michael Annett (14th) also posted top-15 finishes for
Toyota, while Camry drivers Trevor Bayne (16th), Jason Leffler (20th), Kelly Bires (32nd ) and Chase Miller (39th) were
also in the field.

- Busch now leads second-place Carl Edwards by 221 points in the unofficial NNS point standings.

Finishing Position: 2nd

Did Kevin Harvick have so much or were you off a bit tonight?

“I’m not sure. We were really on last year here. Man, the NOS Energy Drink Camry was good — I mean, it was really good.
But, (Kevin) Harvick was gone. It was just — what a non-race that was. Hopefully, it was a show there at the end. We were
running down Jr. (Dale Earnhardt) trying to get past him and he gave us both room. I could run the 33 (Kevin Harvick) down
or beat the 33 (Kevin Harvick) for 15 to 18 laps — after that I just didn’t have anything for him. Those guys were so good on
the long run. He just had it over us. We tried to short pit him. That only worked until they saw us come down pit road and
then they came the next lap. It didn’t quite work out great. I don’t think we really missed anything. We were ahead of third by
a mile. Man, the 33 (Kevin Harvick) was just great — flawless.”

Did you have a chance late in the race to close the gap with Kevin Harvick?

“Getting into (turn) three there coming to the white (flag) I was passing Jr. (Dale Earnhardt) and I just got in there way too
hard and slid up the track and I didn’t hook the bottom like I needed to and I lost two car lengths instead of gaining two car
lengths. If I could have gained two car lengths down there — two down there and two more down there — I would have been
right on his bumper coming to the checkered. Unfortunately, I lost those two and could never gain anything back.”

Are you satisfied with second-place tonight?

“For sure, with that 33 car (Kevin Harvick) the way it was. Man, that thing was fast. Just unbelievable, the 33 car was tonight.
That’s all we had. We had a second-place car today. We worked awfully hard on it in practice, trying to make it better. We
worked on it every pit stop there tonight. We had a good short run car. We had them beat for about 15 to 18 laps and then he’d
get by us and beat us in the long run. I’ll tell you what — the NOS Energy Drink guys did a great job today.”

Why do you think Kevin Harvick was so fast tonight?

“I don’t know, to be honest with you. He was just really, really good. It was the same thing that I’ve battled with him in the
truck races here. Earlier this year, he was so good on the long run. I could beat him for eight to 15 laps in the truck and he
would just be gone. I don’t know what they have that they’ve got that makes them so good. If it’s just a set of shocks or what.
I can’t imagine there’s that much specialness to a set of shocks. They were fast, so he deserved to win the truck races here a
couple times that I’ve actually stolen from him. He was really fast tonight unfortunately. I was trying to get there to steal
another from him but couldn’t quite make it.”

Did you lose speed or did Kevin Harvick gain speed for him to catch you?

“I would lose speed. His car would stay a little bit more consistent through the run than mine would. Mine, it just felt like it
lost grip at lap 18 or 20, whatever it was on a tire run. Whenever we would come in and put tires on it, about 18 laps later mine
would just lose grip. So I don’t know if our air pressures were too high, or maybe we could’ve started them a little bit lower. I
doubt it with the right-front minimum the way it is. That was just all we had. I had nine laps of fresh tires to try to catch him,
and I gained on him a lot. He was a straightaway ahead of me before we pitted. And we ended the race, I might’ve been eight
or 10 car lengths off of him. I just couldn’t quite get there.”

How was your race this evening?

“Our NOS Energy drink Camry just didn’t have anything for (Kevin) Harvick and the 33 guys. They did their work today, for
sure. They were really, really good. Unfortunately, all I needed was a Nationwide win here to continue my sweep of race
tracks and I still haven’t gotten it. We’ll have to keep continuing on with that. Unfortunately there, we were just short at the
end. We just didn’t have enough. We tried to short pit and gain some track position on them, but as soon as they see us come
down — they come down, too. So, you don’t gain a whole lot.”

How did the race cars handle tonight?

“They were definitely evil. The cars were really hard to drive. I can’t imagine what it felt like for some of the guys that were
slower. We ran second and mine was hard to drive. You just had to hit a particular lane. You just couldn’t search around. I
had to run the bottom. That’s all I could run. (Kevin) Harvick did the same thing. We were both kind of stuck at the bottom.
Our cars drove better than the rest of them, that’s for sure, tonight.”

Joey Logano

JOEY LOGANO, No. 20 GameStop Toyota Camry, Joe Gibbs Racing

Finishing Position: 6th

Can you talk about the race tonight?

“We just weren’t as good as those first two cars. That’s it. We were a third-place car. That’s about it.”

What types of issues did your team face tonight?

“The tire was horrible. It made it really hard to drive. It was slick and it wore out. If you get loose one time, you’re screwed
for six laps until the tire cools down. It was pretty much a game of mistakes, and whoever made the least amount of mistakes
was the best. The first two cars were pretty good.”

KASEY KAHNE, No. 10 Fritos Toyota Camry, Braun Racing

Finishing Position: 11th

How was your car tonight?

“Turning was no problem. It would turn great. We just didn’t have enough side-bite. We kept working on that in practice and
throughout the race. That’s the only thing we were lacking on the 33 and the 18. Other than that, we were a third-place car. I
just screwed up and sped on pit road.”

Brian Vickers

BRIAN VICKERS, No. 32 Dollar General Stores Toyota Camry, Braun Racing

Finishing Position: 13th

Can you talk about the race tonight?

“The Dollar General Toyota was really good at the beginning, just a little loose. Fixing the hose and starting in the back after
the first caution hurt us a lot. After that we kept getting more and more free and the track didn’t tighten up at all like you would
expect in a night race. The Dollar General crew never gave up tonight. It just wasn’t the finish we’d hoped for.”

TOYOTA NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS)

Post-Race Notes & Quotes

Michigan International Speedway – August 15, 2009

- Camry drivers Brian Vickers (second) and Kyle Busch (third) battled side-by-side on the final laps to earn top-three
finishes in Saturday’s NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) race at Michigan International Speedway.

- Vickers earned his first NNS pole of 2009 and led 78 (of 125) laps in the Michigan race.

- Other Camry drivers in the field included Jason Leffler (11th), Michael Annett (13th), David Reutimann (14th), Justin
Lofton (16th), Brad Coleman (23rd), Trevor Bayne (30th), Denny Hamlin (32nd) and Chase Miller (37th).

- Busch extended his points lead in the unofficial NNS point standings to 339 points over second-place Carl Edwards
who fell out of the race on lap two. Leffler (fourth), Logano (11th) and Annett (13th) are also in the top-15 for Toyota.

No. 32 Dollar General TOYOTA Camry

BRIAN VICKERS, No. 32 Dollar General Stores Toyota Camry, Braun Racing

Finishing Position: 2nd

What happened between you and Kyle Busch on the final lap?

“We were racing hard. He (Kyle Busch) was on the inside and I was on the outside. We were racing and 88 (Brad
Keselowski) took the high line and got around both of us. I’m frustrated for the Dollar General guys because we should
have had a win. I didn’t see him (Brad Keselowski) coming. Kyle (Busch) was crying like a little girl after the race and he
came up and was whining because I was racing him so hard. I thought this was racing – I thought this was what we were
supposed to do. We raced fine the whole race – I caught him and he let me go, he caught me and I let him go. Then at the
end of the race we were racing for the win and he’s crying about it. I don’t know what he wants.”

Brian Vickers

What is your response to Kyle Busch saying what you did in the closing laps was ‘stupid’?

“I am so sorry – I forgot it was the ‘Kyle Busch show’. I thought we were racing for a win. I am really sorry for the Dollar
General guys. We had a great car. We were too loose on the start of the run – he (Kyle Busch) was better. I thought it was
my job to hold him off – apparently not. He came over to the car after we came in and knocked our fender in, which was
unnecessary and then started crying like a little baby.

I asked if he would just give me a minute to get out and we could
talk about it like men. If he wanted to fight – that’s fine with me. As soon as I got out he ran off. It’s a shame that it went
down like that. We were racing hard and I thought it was a good race. Congratulations to the 88 (Brad Keselowski), he
snuck around both of us and I didn’t see him coming. I let my guys down – we should have been able to win this race.
Last I checked it wasn’t the’ Kyle Busch show’ – it was a Nationwide race and I was supposed to race him for the win.”

Did you expect Brad Keselowski to make the pass on the final lap?

“I didn’t know he was coming – I didn’t know he was that close. We went down into turn three coming to the white and
18 (Kyle Busch) got me loose and I chased it all the way up the race track. By that time the 88 (Brad Keselowski) caught
us. Once he got to my outside – I was already too loose anyway by myself and then with him on the outside I couldn’t
hold him off.”

How was your race car today?

“We had a good car. We were better on the long run, on the short run we were too loose, the 18 (Kyle Busch) was better.
We had a good race all day back and forth throughout the runs and then there at the end we were just racing hard for the
win and the 88 (Brad Keselowski) snuck around both of us on the outside.

We were really loose there at the end and at that
point my focus was trying to hold off the 18 for the win and got really loose down in turn three, getting into turn three. I’m
not sure how close the 18 was to me, if it was aero-loose or just got out from under me and I chased up the track and by that
time the 88 caught us. I thought I could race him back down to turn three but I was just way too loose at the bottom.
Whoever had the outside groove had the advantage pretty much most of the day. That’s why all the leaders took the
outside lane on the restarts, I feel like.”

Did you feel like you were racing each other clean all the way up to the incident at the end of the race?

“We had good racing all day. I don’t know why he (Kyle Busch) was so upset after the race. I thought it was good, hard
racing. I didn’t realize it was my job to let him go and win the race. At that point coming to the white flag, whether the 88
(Brad Keselowski) was coming or not was irrelevant – my job is to try to win the race. It’s a last lap and at the point the
greatest threat was the 18 (Kyle Busch). I was side-drafting him just like he was side-drafting me all day, that’s what we
do, that’s what we race for. My job is to win the race and that’s what I was trying to do. I didn’t hit him and I didn’t move
him. I didn’t do anything dirty, we raced down the front stretch. The 88 got into my outside and him and I raced down the
back stretch. I didn’t think nothing of it until he hit me in the pits.”

Can you move on from this incident?

“I race everybody the way they race me. The Richmond incident that he (Kyle Busch) was talking about was he got to me
and the first turn he got to me, he raced me up the race track and I moved him back up the race track the next turn. After
that, we’ve been fine. I don’t know what else to do. I race people the way they race me. We were racing for the win.
Kyle, if you’re going to be upset about that, I mean I’m sorry.

That’s my job is to try to win the race. If anyone else
disagrees, if anyone else thinks I should have just rolled out of it and let Kyle (Bush) win, then please raise your hand. I
don’t know what else I’m supposed to do. I’m fine, the only thing I’m mad about was the way he handled it after the race.
I’m sure we can get past that. I want to have a good race tomorrow. But there again, I’m always going to race everybody
the way they race me.”

Finishing Position: 3rd

What was your view at the end of the race?

“(Brian Vickers) hung on my right rear quarter panel all the way down the front straightaway and gave the win to the 88
(Brad Keselowski) car. He slowed us down so much – he had no idea the 88 (Brad Keselowski) car was coming and the 88
(Brad Keselowski) just drove right by both of us on the outside because Brian Vickers was trying to slow both of us down.
It was just stupid. If he would have ran his own line up at the top of the track and I would have won my own line down at
the bottom of the track it could have been a battle between us two.

Unfortunately, you race with idiots and I guess you’ll have that sometimes, but the NOS Energy Drink Camry was good today, just not good enough. I felt like we had a good handling race car on the long runs but unfortunately there we didn’t have long runs at the end of the race. I’m sure I’m complaining and I’m whining and I’m a cry baby but that’s uncalled for. It’s just stupid. I would have ran my own line instead of just giving it to the third place car in order to battle it out between the top-two, who deserved the win and deserved to battle the race out at the end. He didn’t deserve to win.”

Can you talk about your race today?

“It was a fine run. The car was fast, just not fast enough. Unfortunately there we had to race with the 32 (Brian Vickers)
too much today and there at the end of the race when we did our final pit stop on pit road we had a great pit stop and got off
and got out and we were leading. If the race would have went green, I think we would have had it but unfortunately there
at the end of the race we were racing too hard with the 32 and I don’t think he knew the 88 (Brad Keselowski) was coming
and blew by both of us.”

Did you feel like you were racing each other clean all the way up to the incident at the end of the race?

“During the race it was fine. We were having a good battle up front, sometimes my car would be good on a few laps and
his (Brian Vickers) car would be good on a few laps and then he’d kind of check out there on a long run. There at the end
he bobbled in three, I got under him coming off of four and got all the way down to the grass trying to get away from him
and he just hung on my right rear quarter panel side-drafting me and wasn’t paying attention to the mirror that the 88 (Brad
Keselowski) was coming. I knew the 88 was coming and man, I was stuck – I had nowhere to go. If I would have moved
up I would have been into him, if I would have gone lower I would have been in the dirt so I had nothing to do. It was just
unfortunate there that the side-draft played that big of role and lost both the winning cars a chance to win the race.”

Can you move on from this incident?

“I don’t know. Ever since Richmond, I’ve had a problem with him (Brian Vickers) racing with him on the race track. This
is just another escalation of that. He’ll be upfront tomorrow and I’ll be in the back so we won’t have anything tomorrow.”

What happened to your car at the end of the race?

“Our car was a little loose at the beginning of the race. Jerry Baxter (crew chief) and the crew were able to make it better
and better all race. I blew a right-front tire right at the end of the race and hit the wall. It wasn’t the day we wanted.”

DENNY HAMLIN, No. 11 CARFAX Toyota Camry, CJM Racing

What happened that took you out of the race?

“We broke something on the shifter. It’s the story of my life – I break more stuff than anyone else, it’s unbelievable.”

Kligerman, in the Cunningham Motorsports Dodge, battled from one lap down, and then held off series rookie Austin Dillon during a last-lap shootout to win the Racing for Wildlife 200 Friday afternoon at Michigan Int’l Speedway, earning his second career series victory in his 10th series start. He also marched out the back gate as the series’ new point leader headed to Mansfield Motorsports Park for the next event on tour.

“It was eventful, exciting,” said Kligerman, who led 19 laps. “(Justin) Lofton was really fast in the beginning; we were too tight. Then, we had to pit for gas under green, which caught us a lap down. Got the Aaron’s Lucky Dog, and came back through. Even after we adjusted on it, we were still really tight, but we were fast. My crew chief said ‘go for it’ so I did. The 15 got sideways in front of us on that restart and I shot through the middle.”

The ’15′ that Kligerman was referring to belonged to Justin Marks, who was leading on a restart with 10 laps to go when he bounced off the turn two wall hard after his right-rear tire went down. That set the stage for the one-lap shootout during which Kligerman refused the final charge from Dillon. Marks, who finished 27th as a result, had an eight-second lead at one point inside of 20 laps from the finish. Marks, in the Venturini Motorsports Toyota, also led the most laps with 39 laps-led.

Dillon, the grandson of team owner Richard Childress, started 36th and finished a career-best second about five lengths away from the winner.

“I think we got through the gears a little better than Parker because he had to pull low and when he came up he had to arc through the corners and he was able to get through the corners faster and that’s what helped him,” said Dillon. “He lifted and I didn’t right there. That’s what won him the race I think. It’s live and learn and I think we learned a lot today.”

Chase Miller, in a Cunningham Motorsports team car to Kligerman, finished third after being involved in an accident during an early-race restart.

“It was not an easy day,” said Miller. “Those restarts were one giant accordion and I got caught up in it and tore the whole rear end of my car off. For a while it just felt like we were wrecking every lap there. We went to work on the car made some adjustments and it took off like a missile again. Just an unfortunate break but the Cunningham team is really good out there and took care of things to get the car running fast again.”

James Buescher finished fourth in the Wolfpack Rentals Toyota in front of 18-year-old rookie Joey Coulter, who finished fifth in the Darrell Gwynn Foundation-Tempest Cycles Chevrolet, his third consecutive top-10 finish.

Justin Lofton, who led the points going in, led the first 39 laps before a loose fuel fitting caused him to make an unscheduled pit stop under green. Lofton lost 17 laps while the crew repaired his Valvoline Instant Oil Change Toyota. He eventually returned to finish 30th, and fell to second in the series standings.

Kligerman, who is already entered for next Saturday’s race in Mansfield, is not sure the team has the resources to finish the year.

“Right now, it’s race by race,” added Kligerman. “We know we’re going to Mansfield. Truthfully, we haven’t even paid attention to the points. We just don’t know if we can do the whole year, so we show up and race to win. I have no expectations. I just keep an open mind and try and build on our success.”

Mikey Kile, Ryan Crane, Steve Arpin, Bryan Silas and Craig Goess completed the top-10 finishers respectively.

The next event for the ARCA RE/MAX Series will be the Tim Richmond Memorial ARCA RE/MAX 200 at Mansfield Motorsports Park Saturday, June 20.
