QUOTES

Carl Edwards on racing at Auto Club Speedway:

“We got off to great start in the Nationwide Series in Daytona and now we are headed to California, which is one of my best tracks. The Fords have always run well there. Mike Kelly and my guys tell me that the car we are taking is a fast one. They are as pumped up as I am about it. It’s a 300 mile race, so it’s a long race and it’s a tough race. The race will be run with the sun high in the sky, which will make the track slick and fun. We have Copart on board for the first time this year and it will be an honor to have them on the car. I hope I can run well for them and Ford.”

Crew chief Mike Kelley on racing at Auto Club Speedway:

“The 60 Copart team is really looking forward to getting to the west coast for a multiple of reasons. We got off to a good start with a strong run in Daytona, and we are bringing the car Carl led a lot of the Homestead race at the end of the 2009 season to California. Carl had a great run in the fall there and has a great average finish at this speedway.

We need to hit the track with a lot of speed and work on having a great handling Ford all day. The next two races are very important to get a strong foundation under us and see where we stand on the high speed intermediate tracks this year. This track offers many racing grooves and hopefully we will find the right combination to bring Jack his 400th win.”
