
The 18 year old, from Tucson, Arizona competed in two ARCA Racing Series races in the 2011 season, where he certainly got a good feel for the stock cars, when he won both of those races in his first two starts. He is the first ARCA driver to accomplish this feat, winning at Madison International Speedway in Madison, Wisconsin and Kansas Speedway in Kansas City, Kansas. In addition, Bowman earned the 2011 Sunoco Rookie of the Year award in the K&N Pro Series East, finishing the season with seven top-10 finishes in 12 races. With more than 170 main event wins, 14 track titles and six national titles in Quarter Midgets, Bowman has an abundance of experience to go along with Cunningham Motorsports ARCA expertise.

As a warm up for Daytona, the team will be testing at Talladega Superspeedway in a few weeks. This season, renowned championship NASCAR crew chief, Paul Andrews will be guiding Bowman’s efforts. The #22 Dodge driver will begin his quest to visit the ARCA Racing Series victory lane for the third time, when the four hour practice begins at 1 pm EST on Thursday, February 16. Menards Pole Qualifying presented by Ansell will take place Friday at 2 pm EST, with a final practice session on Saturday, prior to the race, at 10:00. The garage will be open for fans for a 90 minute autograph session, beginning at 12:00. The 49th ARCA event at Daytona, the 200 mile race, will follow at 4:30.
