Can you compare Phoenix to any other track on the schedule?
“No, Phoenix is a unique animal. It’s very different from any of the other tracks I’ve been to before. I don’t exactly know what to expect. I think it will be extremely challenging. I haven’t raced there in a truck yet, but I raced the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West race at Phoenix last year, so I do have a few laps of experience.”
What makes Phoenix so difficult?
“The track is difficult because every corner is different. Turns one and two are completely different from three and four, so you have to give up a little bit setup-wise in order to make sure the truck is decent through the entire track. The truck has to be very neutral at Phoenix. Also, it’s important not to overdrive the corners.”
