(January 9, 2012) - The Ricky Benton Racing (RBR) Enterprises No. 92 Chevrolet Silverado will have a new man behind the wheel in 2012. Two-time NASCAR Sprint Cup race winner David Reutimann is scheduled to pilot the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) entry in 13 to 15 of the 22 races.

The team’s schedule could expand if more sponsorship is secured.

“The truck series is where I got my start,” said Reutimann. “It’s a very competitive series and I am thrilled to have this opportunity to run some races with a good team that is in the process of building.

“There is definitely the potential to run well (at RBR Enterprises). I wouldn’t have accepted this opportunity if I didn’t believe that. It’s going to be a challenge, but I like the fact that they are committed to bringing the best piece to the track at the races we run instead of taking less than our best to every race.”

The move to RBR Enterprises reunites Reutimann in the truck series with recently hired crew chief Jason Overstreet, with whom he worked at Darrell Waltrip Racing and Germain Racing. Together the duo combined for six poles and one race win in the series with Waltrip from 2004-06.

“Having worked with David and having a great working relationship with him definitely flattens the learning curve,” Overstreet said. “We have a lot of experience working together, so we have already hit the ground running and can’t wait for Daytona to get here.”

The driver agrees.

“It definitely makes things easier having that relationship with Jason,” Reutimann said. “It really is neat to be working with him again and not having to go through the whole process of learning someone new.”

Team owner Ricky Benton is looking forward to what Reutimann and Overstreet bring to the fledgling organization for the 2012 season.

“Over the last two years, we have made great progress in our truck program and are thankful for everyone who has been involved,” said Benton. “But putting a winning driver the caliber of David Reutimann behind the wheel and having Jason (Overstreet) managing the team and making the race day calls is going to take us to the level where we are running up front consistently and contending for wins.

“Now we just need to get a few more partners on the truck to make a run at the championship.”

Driver Clay Rogers finished 20th in the 2011 NCWTS points standings driving the No. 92 BTS Tire and Wheel Distributors / fleetHQ.com Chevrolet despite only making 15 of 25 starts in the series.

About RBR Enterprises

Based in tiny Cerro Gordo, N.C. (population 244), RBR Enterprises has been racing in numerous touring series throughout the Southeast for over 20 years. Competing extensively in the USAR Pro Cup Series – winning a championship in 2002 and two Rookie of the Year honors – the team has made forays into the ARCA Series and several NASCAR Touring Series. In 2010, RBR joined the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series with driver Dennis Setzer, competing in eight races.

RBR teamed up with Clay Rogers for the 2011 season finishing 20th in the driver standings and 25th in the owner standings despite only running 15 of the 25 races. The season was highlighted by a third place finish in the season-open NextEra 250 at Daytona International Speedway.

“I can’t wait for February,” said Overstreet. “I am looking forward to the challenge of helping build this race team in the truck series and having success at the track. There is a great foundation in place at RBR and I am excited to be a part of it.”

Overstreet spent 2010 and 2011 at Rusty Wallace, Inc. (RWI) where he served various roles, including crew chief and car chief for Michael Annett, Brendan Gaughan and David Reutimann. From 2004-08, Overstreet was the crew chief for Reutimann at Darrell Waltrip Racing.

In the series’ first trip to the half-mile paperclip-shaped track in the spring, the No. 92 finished 16th after running up front most of the day, getting as high asthird in the running order late in the race.

DEUCES WILD: This weekend when Crafton takes the green flag, he will officially surpass Dennis Setzer for second in all-time consecutive starts in the series with 268. Terry Cook is the current record holder with 296, which Crafton can break at the end of the 2012 season if the schedule has 25 or more races.

SAIL THE OPEN SANDS: In addition to running 219 miles behind the wheel of the No. 88 Chevrolet Silverado, Crafton’s week in Vegas includes some extracurricular driving activities. Crafton will embark on the maiden voyage of his newly built sandrail, a lightweight motor vehicle designed for off-road driving and skimming the surface of sand dunes. Be sure to tune in to this weekend’s NCWTS Setup on SPEED to see Crafton hit the dunes with Ray Dunlap.

COME SAY ‘CIAO’ AT THE RIVIERA: This weekend, both the No. 88 and No. 13 trucks will carry the Riviera Hotel & Casino on board as the official Las Vegas hotel of ThorSport Racing. Crafton and teammates Sauter and Dakoda Armstrong will also be making an appearance at the ‘Riv,’ signing autographs at a meet and greet on Friday, October 14 from 7:30-9:00 p.m. local time. Visit www.rivierahotel.com for more information.

YOU KNOW YOU WANT TO SHOP: The ThorSport Racing online store is open for business and is now accepting credit cards. Head over to http://store.thorsport.com or click the Merchandise tab on ThorSport.com to find gear for all of the ThorSport Racing drivers.

CHASSIS HISTORY: The No. 88 team will utilize chassis No. 41 this weekend at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. This is the chassis Crafton drove to the pole position earlier in the season at Michigan International Speedway. Crafton most recently raced No. 41 at Kentucky Speedway two weeks ago.

PREVIOUS RACE RECAP: Crafton and the No. 88 team rallied back from mechanical issues on the first lap to finish 23rd at Kentucky Speedway. After being forced into the garage immediately after the green flag due to a bad vibration, the team quickly repaired the Menards/Ideal Door Chevrolet and returned to the track, earning back several laps and gaining many valuable positions before taking the checkered flag in the Kentucky 225.

Do you like going out to Las Vegas?

“I love going out there, it’s the West Coast, that’s where I’m from. I always go out there early to head home for a bit and spend some time in the desert. I just finished building a brand new sandrail, so I’m really looking forward to getting out onto the dunes to break it in. Everyone says it’s so hot out there, but it’s a dry heat. It’s definitely a little different than hot weather on the East Coast.”

What do you like about Las Vegas Motor Speedway?

“I love racing at Las Vegas Motor Speedway because there’s always a great turnout in the stands, and it has been a really good racetrack for ThorSport. Two years ago, me and Johnny [Sauter] finished one and two, and we both ran well and finished in the top five last year too.”

How does Las Vegas Motor Speedway compare to other intermediate tracks?

“It has definitely gotten more of a second groove over time. When we first went there, everyone would run around the bottom, but now the groove has moved up, especially in 1 and 2. That’s what I really like about the place, the fact that the groove has moved with age. It also has one of the best garages in the sport.”

(September 27, 2011) – After taking the month of September off from the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS), the Ricky Benton Racing (RBR) Enterprises team and driver Clay Rogers are ready to tackle October head-on beginning with this weekend’s running of the Kentucky 225 at Kentucky Speedway.

Despite the hiatus, the team has been busy.

Clay Rogers

“We have been working really hard on the trucks at the shop,” said Rogers, “concentrating on getting the best piece to the track for Kentucky. With the extra time, we’ve done some things that we weren’t able to do when were we running more races.

“I’m looking forward to seeing what we’ve got in the No. 92 truck. The weight is down and there are some things that we moved around in the suspension. We’re hoping all the work we’ve put into the trucks will pay off at the track.”

QMI returns as the primary sponsor for the Kentucky race.

“We are pleased to be sporting the QMI colors again this week at Kentucky,” said RBR owner Ricky Benton. “We were able to get a good finish for them at Bristol and I am hopeful that we can do it again at Kentucky.”

Despite not entering six races, the team is 20th in the series points standings. In the previous 13 starts, the team has 10 top-20 finishes, including a season-best third place showing at Daytona.

The team visited the 1.5-mile tri-oval in July when Crafton had a top-10 truck but finished 32nd after an engine failure on lap 19.

SPARTA STATS: With 11 previous starts at the track, Crafton has solid stats at the Sparta, Kentucky facility. With three top-five and seven top-10 finishes, Crafton has racked up an average start of 12.6 and an average finish of 11.5. He has a best finish of 3rd, which he earned consecutively in 2008 and 2009. Crafton’s engine failure at the spring race is his only DNF at Kentucky Speedway.

IT’S A TIE: When Crafton takes the green flag in this weekend’s event at Kentucky Speedway, his total number of consecutive NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race starts will hit 267, tying Dennis Setzer for second in all-time consecutive starts in the series. Crafton will take over second place exclusively in the following event at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Terry Cook is the current record holder with 296, which Crafton can break at the end of the 2012 season if the schedule has 25 or more races.

GET OUT THE PLASTIC: The ThorSport Racing online store is open for business and is now accepting credit cards. Head over to http://store.thorsport.com or click the Merchandise tab on ThorSport.com to find gear for all of the ThorSport Racing drivers.

CHASSIS HISTORY: The No. 88 team will utilize chassis No. 41 this weekend at Kentucky Speedway. The team debuted this chassis at the spring Kentucky race. Crafton most recently used this truck at Michigan International Speedway where he won the pole and dominated the race before getting taken out in a late-race wreck.

PREVIOUS RACE RECAP: Crafton earned a top-10 finish for the third week in a row in a wreck-free race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. After running in the top five for most of the event, strategy in the final pit stop of the day resulted in a sixth-place finish for the No. 88 Menards / Great Lakes Wood Floors Chevrolet.

How do you feel going into the race at Kentucky Speedway?

“I’m really looking forward to getting back to Kentucky, especially after the way our race went earlier this season. We had a very good truck when we went to Kentucky in July, and unfortunately we didn’t really get to show it when the engine blew. We’re planning to go back with the same chassis, which was really fast in Pocono and Michigan too, and I definitely think we’re capable of bringing that truck to victory lane.”

About Anderson’s Maple Syrup

In 1928, Paul Anderson first shared the distinct taste of Wisconsin’s Northwoods in tins of his delicately sweet maple syrup. Three generations later, the Anderson family carries on its sugarmaking heritage by bottling pure maple syrup from the same sugarbush their grandfather tapped for so many years. A healthy all-natural delicacy, authentic maple syrup is a nutritious, low-calorie alternative to artificial sweeteners and maple-flavored syrups. From its roots in Cumberland, Wisconsin, Anderson’s Maple Syrup can today be found in supermarkets and specialty shops across the country. (July 19, 2011) – RBR Enterprises’ No. 92 BTS Tire and Wheel Distributors / fleetHQ.com Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) entry will not be making the trip to Nashville Superspeedway this weekend for the Lucas Deep Clean 200 as the team has chosen to focus on the July 29 race at Lucas Oil Raceway and looks for additional sponsorship for the 2011 campaign.

The team has entered and raced in all 11 races in the NCWTS 2011 season to date. Originally the team was scheduled to only run the first five races and compete in 15 races all year. Buoyed by strong runs, the team expanded its race schedule, but team owner Ricky Benton feels their efforts would be best expended by skipping Nashville in preparation of a strong run at the short track outside of Indianapolis.

“I couldn’t be more proud of the work that these guys have done up to this point in the 2011 season,” said Benton. “(Driver) Clay (Rogers) and this whole team are exceeding expectations so far and I feel that by taking a step back (by not making the Nashville trip), we can make this program a lot stronger as we move forward in 2011 and beyond.”

Most of the members of the team that travel to the races are Black’s Tire and Auto (the company that Benton owns) employees who volunteer to prepare and service the truck at the track.

Even with the dedicated, mostly-volunteer group, the team is still looking for sponsorship dollars to help them in the highly competitive series.

“We have had some great marketing partners with Action Gator Tire, Dilmar Oil and Bingham Tire being on the truck in a few races. fleetHQ has been with us from the beginning and is amazing to work with,” Benton said. “I feel like we are right on the verge of running in the top-10 on a consistent basis and putting this truck in victory lane, if we can get some sponsorship help.”

With a third-place finish in the season opener, Rogers left Daytona with the series points lead. The team reeled off six top-20 finishes in the first seven races of the season. Wrecks at Kansas and Texas led to 28th- and 25th-place finishes. The team then bounced back with 17th-place finishes at Kentucky and Iowa.

Currently, Benton is 19th in the Truck Series owner’s points standings. Rogers is 17th in the driver’s points.

(July 12, 2011) – After a rough couple of races at Kansas and Texas and a nearly-month long layoff, Clay Rogers and the No. 92 BTS Tire and Wheel Distributors / fleetHQ.com Chevy Silverado team got just what the doctor ordered: a strong run at Kentucky Speedway and momentum heading to Iowa.

After reeling off six top-20 finishes in the first seven races of the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season, Rogers was caught up in a wreck at Kansas leading to a 28th place finish. Then at Texas, a top-10 finish was derailed by a cut tire with five laps to go resulting in a 25th-place finish.

“We had one of the fastest trucks that we have had all year at Texas,” said Rogers. “We were looking at a sure top-10 finish until we had that tire issue.”

Undeterred by the bad luck, the RBR Enterprises team bounced back at Kentucky Speedway in the UNOH 225, claiming another top-20 finish – their seventh in 10 races in 2011 – bringing the truck home in 17th place.

Clay Rogers - Photo Credit: John Harrelson / Getty Images for NASCAR

According to Rogers, Kentucky was the 2011 debut for that particular truck.

“The truck had a few quirks that we weren’t expecting,” Rogers said. “We got behind the eight ball a little bit in practice and qualifying, but as the race progressed (crew chief) Barry (Elvis) and the guys made the truck decent and we were able to pass a bunch of trucks and bring the it home in one piece. We had just lost too much track position to get any higher in the final running order than we did.”

“I’m proud of Clay and the guys for the effort at Kentucky,” said RBR Enterprises owner Ricky Benton. “After the bad luck we had in the two previous races, it would have been easy for them to have another letdown, but they kept digging and making the truck better and we put together a good finish for BTS, fleetHQ and Bingham Tire, who joined us for the race.”

Benton and Rogers are hoping the strong run is something they can build on as the Truck Series moves into a four-race-in-four-weeks stretch beginning this week at the .875-mile Iowa Speedway, a track where Rogers had some success in the USAR Pro Cup Series, including a win in 2010.

“Iowa is great race track,” said Rogers. “It’s a short track but with how wide the track is, the great banking and the entrances and exits to the turns, it races like a speedway. We are bringing the same truck he had at Kentucky and I think we’ll be able to run up front.”

Rogers will be pulling double-duty this weekend at Iowa. In addition to running the Camping World Truck Series race, he is entered in the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards Prairie Meadows 200 in the No. 42 Beard Oil-Conoco Philips Lubricants Chevrolet.

“It’s always sweet to hear Wisconsin fans cheering our drivers,” explained Steven Anderson of Anderson’s Maple Syrup. “The only thing that could make this year’s Bucyrus 200 any sweeter is a win with Jay Robinson Racing in our home state!”

The Bucyrus 200 at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin is the 16th stop on the 34 race schedule in The NASCAR Nationwide Series. The Bucyrus 200 will start at 5:30pm Eastern on ESPN with radio coverage by MRN and SiriusXM Satellite Radio.

(June 2, 2011)- As the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) prepares to celebrate its 400th race Saturday at Kansas Speedway, the individual accomplishments of Kyle Busch, Rick Ren and Eric Phillips over the first 399 races rank among the most celebrated in series history.

Kyle Busch – Owner / Driver

NCWTS Career Highlights:

· Tied with Mike Skinner and Jack Sprague for second most wins in NCWTS history with 28

· Winning driver/owner in closest margin of victory in NCWTS history (.002-seconds over Aric Almirola in the Mountain Dew 250 at Talladega Superspeedway on October 30, 2010)

· Youngest driver (20 years, 18 days) in NCWTS history to win a race (Quaker Steak & Lube 200 at Charlotte Motor Speedway on 5/20/05)

· 119.6 career driver rating entering the 2011 season is the highest accumulated by a NCWTS driver since the stat was introduced in 2005

· Average career finish of 7.1 ranks first among active drivers with 10 or more career starts

· Has won 30.7% of the NCWTS races he has entered and finished first or second in 49.4%

· In 2010 KBM became the first team to win an owners’ championship in its inaugural season since the NCWTS originated in 1995

Most Memorable Experience in the NCWTS:

“I’ve had a lot of memorable moments in the truck series — winning a championship in my first year as an owner, my first-ever truck series win at Charlotte, the fantastic finish last year at Talladega and getting the sweep started in the trucks at Bristol all quickly come to mind – it’s been a great series to be a part of as both a driver and now an owner. But, if I have to pick one moment that stands out above the rest, the most memorable would have to be my first win as an owner last April at Nashville Superspeedway.

It was extremely rewarding to see the hard work of everyone involved at KBM come to fruition. Having the first win come at the hometown track of Dollar General in their first race as a primary sponsor of our Toyota Tundra was icing on the cake. That win seemed to be the spark that helped propel us to more wins and an owners’ championship in our first season. It also was instrumental in developing our relationship with Dollar General into something bigger this season.”

Rick Ren – General Manager

NCWTS Career Highlights:

· Winningest crew chief in NCWTS history with 27 wins

· Has gone to victory lane an additional 13 times as an executive at KBM — making him a part of one in every 10 wins in NCWTS history.

· Has won two NCWTS championships as a crew chief and one as a General Manager

· Won a NCWTS record five consecutive wins with driver Ron Hornaday Jr. in 2009

· Has collected NCWTS wins with five different drivers (Hornaday Jr., Johnny Benson Jr., Travis Kvapil, Rick Carelli and Andy Houston)

Most Memorable Experience in the NCWTS:

“I’ve had a great career in the truck series and have many memorable moments. To pick out one individual moment as my favorite — that’s a tall task. The championships were all great. Leading a rookie to his first win, winning at Dover the day I met my wife, the look on Kyle’s face last year at Nashville when he won for the first time as an owner — looking back, those were all pretty cool moments. Probably winning five consecutive races with Ron Hornaday Jr. in 2009 would have to be my biggest accomplishment. Not only was it a truck series record, it tied a 38-year old NASCAR record. The way things played out in each of those races in order to win five consecutive, you couldn’t write the script any better. The stars and the moon lined up pretty good.”

Eric Phillips – Crew Chief

NCWTS Career Highlights:

· Winningest active NCWTS crew chief with 23 career wins — which also ranks him third on all-time list

· Crew Chief for Toyota’s first-ever NASCAR touring series victory (Travis Kvapil at Michigan International Speedway on 7/31/04)

· Has collected NCWTS wins with five different drivers (Busch, Kvapil, Dennis Setzer, Clint Bowyer and Mike Skinner)

Most Memorable Experience in the NCWTS:

“Being the crew chief for Toyota’s first-ever NASCAR win is definitely my most memorable experience in the truck series. I still have the trophy at home and it brings back great memories.”

RBR Enterprises at Kansas

- RBR Enterprises will be making its first start at Kansas Speedway in the O’Reilly Auto Parts 250.

Clay Rogers at Kansas

- Clay Rogers will be making his second career NASCAR Camping World Truck Series start at Kansas in the O’Reilly Auto Parts 250. In his previous start, he has a 25th-place finish.

Last Race Recap

- The No. 92 BTS Tire and Wheel Distributors/fleetHQ.com team qualified 26th for the North Carolina Education Lottery 200 at Charlotte Motor Speedway two weeks ago. The team brought home a 17h place finish after running around the 10th position all night. The finish was the team’s sixth top-20 finish in seven races in 2011.

Camping World Truck Series Points:

- Rogers remains in eighth in the NCWTS points, 65 points behind leader Cole Whitt. Rogers finds himself seven points behind seventh-place James Beuscher and ahead of ninth-place Parker Kligerman, who is also 65 points behind the leader, by virtue of a higher finishing position.

Clay Rogers quotes:

On Charlotte: “We were loose all weekend. The truck just kept running away from us and we couldn’t get caught up.

“We ran well in traffic and were good on restarts. The truck just got looser on the longer runs. There at the end, we had to come in and tighten the truck up, we just didn’t adjust the truck enough to move back up through the field.”

On racing at Kansas: “We’ve been battling a lack of information all year. We just don’t have the data that some of these other teams have, but going to Kansas and Texas at least we are going to be on a tire that we have used this year, so that will help.”

About fleetHQ.com

fleetHQ is a business solutions provider for commercial trucking fleets and service tire dealers all across North America. fleetHQ provides 24-hour support, and helps fleets reduce operating cost while making it easier to do business.

BTS Tire & Wheel Distributors offers wholesale distribution services to tire and automotive dealers across the Southeast, operating out of locations in North and South Carolina.

About Community2Community

For the second straight race, the No. 92 truck will be carrying the Community2Community (C2C) logo in support of tornado victims throughout the Southeast. C2C is a South Carolina-based charity founded by Clemson University students. So far, the organization has made two trips to Alabama with truckloads of supplies for people affected by the April 27 tornadoes.

About RBR Enterprises

RBR has been racing in numerous touring series throughout the Southeast for nearly 20 years. Competing extensively in the USAR Pro Cup Series – winning a champion in 2002 in that series – the team has made forays into the ARCA Series and several NASCAR Touring Series. In 2010, RBR joined the NCWTS with driver Dennis Setzer, competing in eight races.

RBR teamed up with Rogers for the 2011 season. Originally, the team was committed to the first five races and 15 races total for the year. The schedule could expand more if additional sponsorship can be secured.

The difference this week will be Dennis Setzer will be driving the #28 MAXelenceTM Race Car.

“Iowa is one of the more exciting races. The fans in Iowa really enjoy great short track racing. You can feel the electricity in the car right before the green flag,” said Dennis. “That energy is absorbed by all the drivers in the field and that is what has made this one of the premiere short track races in The Country. I am really looking forward to driving The MAXelence Chevrolet in The John Deere Dealers 250,”

MAXelenceTM is not another energy or sports beverage. MAXelenceTM gives the body what it needs to produce energy & stamina naturally, and to recover from stress, exertion & fatigue.
On Dover race: “We just didn’t have enough information going there (Dover). It was the first track that we’ve been to this year that neither the team nor I have raced at. Add the new tire that gave everyone trouble and it was the first weekend that we’ve struggled with the handling on the truck from start to finish.”

On racing at Charlotte: “Now Charlotte is a place we know. The team had a great truck there last year before a blown tire ended their run. As a driver, I have a lot of confidence – it’s a place I’ve been coming to a long time.

“We have a good piece for this race and a ton of information and we are ready to put our best foot forward and have a great run.”

Owner Ricky Benton Quotes:

On racing in North Carolina: “It’s good to be coming home this week. North and South Carolina are definitely Black’s Tire and Auto Service country. We are looking forward to Clay and the team bringing home a good finish in front of all of our fans”
