Daytona Beach, Fla. (July 3, 2010) – At the halfway mark in his second
full-season in NASCAR’s second tiered Nationwide Series, Michael Annett
currently stands 12th in the points race after the Subway Jalapeno 250
powered by Coca-Cola at Daytona International Speedway. In the historic
first race in the Nationwide Series new car, Annett qualified 17th and
scored a 12th place finish after recovering from an early race spin.
Under the lights at the World Center of Racing, Annett pushed his way from
his 17th place start into the top-10 by lap 14. Running in the seventh
position, the former Daytona winner in the ARCA Racing Series got loose
off of the exit of turn four on lap 32, bringing out the second caution of
