“Set for Third Event of 2010 Season”

Mooresville, N.C. (June 22, 2010) - The Frank Kimmel Street Stock Nationals will travel to Fairgrounds Speedway in Nashville, Tenn. this Saturday, June 26th, 2010, for its third race of the season. Following the exciting competition at the 2nd Annual Frank Kimmel All-Star Challenge at Salem Speedway, the drivers in the Frank Kimmel Street Stock Series are looking to tackle the historic 5/8-mile track at the Nashville Fairgrounds.

What started in 2007 as a series hoping to expose grass roots racers to competition on superspeedways, the Frank Kimmel Street Stock Series is continually expanding and adding more tracks to its already impressive schedule. While the series has visited tracks like Kentucky Speedway, Bristol Motor Speedway (TN) and Mansfield Motorsports Park (OH), the Frank Kimmel Street Stock Series has provided an outlet for young drivers to showcase their talents at larger, more popularized venues.

Having made appearances at Salem Speedway and Rockingham Speedway (NC) already this season, Series developer, Frank Kimmel, is working on plans to increase the span and variety of tracks on the schedule. Taking in to account the unfortunate circumstances of the economy, Kimmel still understands the importance of keeping the street stock series affordable while also allowing it to be highly competitive.

With the next race right around the corner, an optional practice will be held on Friday, June 25th, for those competitors looking for some extra seat time prior to the main event on Saturday, June 26th. Practice for Saturday’s main event will start at 11:00 a.m. followed by qualifying at 2:00 p.m. The green flag is set to drop at 6:00 p.m.

The next race following the event at Fairgrounds Speedway will be on September 11th at the infamous Bristol Motor Speedway.
