Race Info:

Event: Nashville 300

Date/Time: Saturday, April 3rd/4:00 p.m. ET

TV: ESPN, 3:30 p.m. ET

Radio: MRN, 3:30 p.m.

Distance: 225 laps/300 miles

Track: 1.333-mile D-shaped oval

2009 Winner: Joey Logano

Fast & Fun Facts:

· Nice stat: In four NASCAR Nationwide Series starts at the 1.333-mile superspeedway Riggs has an average starting position of 3.8, which will be beneficial for the No. 09 team that will be required to qualify in the show on time.

· Nashville marks the last race for the top-30 in points from 2009. After this weekend’s event, the Nashville 300, the NASCAR Nationwide Series will go to the 2010 owner points.

· In appreciation of the “Sponsor Scott” Fan Car for Nashville, the No. 09 Ford Fusion will be carrying new colors; white with grey and red.

Former Nashville Winner: In just six starts at Nashville Superspeedway (4 NASCAR Nationwide, 2 Camping World Truck Series), Scott Riggs has three wins. The Bahama, NC native has also led 344 laps and captured one pole.

Points Check: Following a DNQ at Bristol Motor Speedway, the No. 09 RAB Racing team still holds tight to a top-25 position in the 2010 NASCAR Nationwide Series point standings. Scott Riggs is 22nd in driver points and Robby Benton, owner of the No. 09 Ford Fusion is currently 21st; only 22 markers outside the top-15.

“Sponsor Scott” Fan Car: Scott Riggs fans came together just over two weeks ago to show their support for the veteran driver by “Sponsoring Scott”. This was a unique opportunity to get your name in the fast lane for the Nashville 300 this weekend. There were different levels of sponsorship but over 75 dedicated fans raised more than $30,000 through various efforts including a “Chicken Plate Fundraiser” sponsored by Scott’s old school mates from the Durham, NC area. Fellow NASCAR Nationwide Series driver, Justin Allgaier and his family also stepped up to help the 39-year-old driver and the entire RAB Racing team.

Easter Eggstravaganza: Scott Riggs will join other NASCAR Nationwide Series drivers and media for an Easter Egg Coloring Contest on Friday, April 2nd at Nashville Superspeedway. The event will take place in the lunch area of the media center beginning at 11:00 a.m.

Dash 4 Cash: Created in 2009, Nationwide Insurance developed the “Dash 4 Cash” campaign for the NASCAR Nationwide Series that gives $25,000 to the winner at each of the following events: Nashville Superspeedway (April 3), Kentucky Motor Speedway (June 12), Iowa Speedway (July 31) and Texas Motor Speedway (November 6). Eligible drivers for the program are limited to a full-time ride, and any NASCAR Sprint Cup Series regular that will qualify for all NNS events in 2010. If any eligible driver does not win at one event, the $25,000 will roll-over to include the next event on the list. Also, an additional $75,000 bonus will be awarded at the end of the season to the driver with the highest number of accumulated points over those four events.

Meet Scott Riggs: Scott Riggs will be signing autographs at two locations in Nashville this weekend:

· On Thursday, April 1st Riggs will join other NASCAR Nationwide Series and Camping World Truck Series drivers for a Fan Q & A and Autograph Session at Camping World (Grand Ole Opry location) from 5:50-7:30 p.m.

· On Friday, April 2nd Riggs will sign autographs from 1:00-2:00 p.m. in the Expo area near Gate 3 at Nashville Superspeedway.

Quoting Scott Riggs:

Do you have any Easter traditions in the Riggs household?

“Just to spend time with the family and hide Easter Eggs with the kids.”

You have three wins at Nashville, which is your most memorable and why?

“I would have to say my first win at Nashville was my most memorable because it was my very first NASCAR Nationwide Series win in only my seventh start.”

Where do you keep all your Gibson Guitars?

“I keep them in my basement around my pool table.”

CIRCUIT: NASCAR CAMPING WORLD TRUCK SERIES ( RACE 4 of 25)

EVENT: NASHVILLE 200 ( 150 LAPS, 200 MILES)

DATE: APRIL 2, 2010

MUSIC CITY MADNESS: Friday night’s running of the Nashville 200 at Nashville (Tenn.) Superspeedway will mark Carmichael’s first start at the track. However, the Florida native does have one start (2008) at Nashville Speedway, located at the Nashville Fairgrounds, in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East. Carmichael started 20th and finished 4th at the famed short track downtown.

CARMICHAEL ON TRUCKS: Last week at Martinsville (Va.) Speedway Carmichael scored his second top-10 of the season with a 10th place finish. It was huge leap from the 29th place finish he scored during last season’s spring race at the famed short track.

Three weeks ago at Atlanta (Ga.) Motor Speedway he scored his career best Truck Series finish by crossing the finish line in sixth place. It was a much needed confidence booster for the team after a mid-race crash ended the race for the No. 4 Monster Energy Team at Daytona in February. Last season Carmichael competed in 18 Truck Series events and scored two top-10 finishes during his first season of NASCAR competition at the elite level.

BET YOU DIDN’T KNOW: During Carmichael’s Moto career he only suffered three broken bones. Carmichael broke his collar bone, shoulder and wrist during his 10-year-stint as an AMA Pro Rider.

MONSTER MANIA: Check out the Monster Energy show truck at two locations in Nashville this weekend. On Wednesday fans can stop by the DAILY’S on 5800 Old Hickory Blvd. in Hermitage, Tenn. from 1:00PM to 5:00 PM. Then on Thursday fans can see the Monster Energy show truck at the DAILY’S located on 320 Hwy 109 North in Lebanon, Tenn. from 10:00AM to 3:00PM. For more information visit www.teamturnermotorsports.com and www.rickycarmichael.com

NASHVILLE RACE FAN FEST: Thursday night Carmichael will be appearing along with other Truck and Nationwide Series stars at the Camping World store located near the Grand Ole Opry. The fan fest gets underway at 5:00PM and will end at 9:00PM. Drivers will participate in question and answer sessions and sign autographs. Interactive displays with be on hand and door prizes will be given away to fans in attendance.

BEHIND THE WHEEL: Carmichael will pilot chassis No. 10 on the concrete track. A brand new intermediate chassis that was completed over the winter will make its race debut this Friday.

STAY UP TO SPEED: Flag to flag coverage of the Nashville 200 can be seen LIVE on SPEED at 7:30 p.m. EST on April 2, 2010. For information on SPEED TV listings visit www.speedtv.com

“It will be back to the basics this weekend because I have never raced at the big speedway. I raced at the little track in downtown Nashville during my East Series days, but I know the superspeedway is a lot different. I have watched several past races at the track to get familiar with what line to run and where to pass. We will unload Friday morning and I will spend the first few laps getting acquainted with the track.

I think it will help that the surface is concrete because it provides lots of grip right off the bat. I did run an East Series race at Dover several years ago and finished seventh. I really enjoyed racing on the concrete. The Monster Energy Team is really on a roll and I look to continue it in Nashville this weekend.”

“We’re taking the same truck to Nashville that we ran at Kentucky. We were really strong there, and we feel like we’ll have just as strong of a package at Nashville. Nashville is a really fast track and you can create speed at the exit of the corners. If you can get back on the throttle early in the corner, you’re going to be fast going down the straightaway.”

COMPTON TO PARTICIPATE IN NASH-CAR PARTY:

Stacy Compton is one of several NASCAR drivers taking part in an unprecedented event on Thursday, July 30th to benefit the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt. This first ever “NASH-Car” will take place at the Wildhorse Saloon and will feature NASCAR drivers, a true Music City jam featuring Billy Reasons, Steve McGranahan – The World’s Strongest Redneck, and an exclusive display of NASCAR haulers. The No. 60 SafeAuto Insurance Toyota Tundra will even be on display. A limited number of exclusive VIP packages are available and will include premium seating as well as a VIP Meet & Greet with the artists and drivers. To purchase tickets, please visit ticketmaster.com. There will also be a silent auction featuring NASCAR memorabilia including race used sheet metal and autographed items. The festivities begin at 5 p.m.

THE CREW CHIEF’S CHOICE FOR NASHVILLE:

Marcus Richmond, Crew Chief of the No. 60 SafeAuto Insurance Company / Wyler.com Toyota Tundra, has selected chassis number 84 for the Toyota Tundra 200. This chassis was last raced at Kentucky Speedway where it qualified sixth and was charging to the front before being taken out while battling for second place. Compton rallied back to finish 12th, despite having a damaged truck. Since the truck ran so well, Richmond immediately sent it to the fabricator who repaired it to race at Nashville.

THE RADISSON NASHVILLE AIRPORT JOINS WYLER RACING:

This upscale Nashville hotel is ideally situated just one mile from Nashville International Airport, providing guests with comfortable accommodations in a convenient location. Guests of the Radisson Nashville Airport Hotel enjoy a wealth of on-site amenities, including complimentary airport shuttle service, an indoor pool, a Fitness Center and wireless Internet, as well as easy access to popular local attractions, including the Grand Ole Opry and the Country Music Hall of Fame. To reserve a room for your next visit to the area, please call (615) 889-9090.

COMPTON’S CAREER AT NASHVILLE SUPERSPEEDWAY:

Stacy Compton has raced his way around the 1.333-mile concrete oval of Nashville Superspeedway 11 times in the past seven years. Compton made his first career start at Nashville Superspeedway in 2002 while driving in the NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) for Tad Geschickter. Since then, Compton has accumulated three top-10 finishes in NNS competition at the Nashville track, along with one top-10 in NASCAR Camping World Truck Series competition. Compton’s best finish is 7th, which came last year in the NCWTS after Compton qualified on the outside pole for the Toyota Tundra 200.

“Every week this Dollar General team gives me a great car. The mile and a half program is very strong and we have been in contention to win at Vegas and Lowe’s. I think this weekend will be no different. The over the wall crew has nailed some great stops in recent weeks and we are bringing the same Toyota we had in Charlotte. With the momentum we are carrying from the solid runs at Loudon and Daytona, I feel that we will be battling for the win at the end of the race. It would be fantastic to go to victory lane with all the Dollar General guests that will be here for this weekend’s Dollar General 300 at Chicagoland Speedway.”

Crew Chief, Trent Owens, on this weekend at Chicagoland:

“We have had some really strong races this year with Vickers, especially at the mile and a half tracks. I think we are just knocking on the door of a win with the No. 32 Dollar General Toyota. We are bringing the same car with us that he drove at Lowe’s. That Camry was one of the strongest cars of the race and, had that rain held off, I think we would have had some celebrating to do in victory lane. To get our first win of the season this weekend at Chicagoland would be extra special since it is the Dollar General 300.”

Equipment Information

- The No. 32 Dollar General team will compete with chassis #040 in this weekend’s Dollar General 300.

- This is the same chassis that Braun Racing ran at Lowe’s Motor Speedway in May, 2009, where Vickers started 5th and finished 4th in the rain-shortened event.
