This was Buescher’s second series pole of the 2011 season, his second series career pole and his first series pole at Talladega Superspeedway.
Starting second and on the outside pole with a qualifying lap speed of 176.845 mph, will be Sunoco Rookie of the Year contender, Nelson Piquet, Jr., followed by Austin Dillon (176.575) who will start third, Ricky Carmichael (176.438) fourth and Ron Hornaday Jr. (176.133) starting from fifth.
Rounding out the top-ten starting positions will be Mike Wallace (175.694) starting from sixth, while Sunoco Rookie contenders Joey Coulter (175.681) Johanna Long (175.391) Parker Kligerman (175.211) and Cole Whitt (174.978) will start seventh, eighth, ninth and tenth respectively.
Failing to make the starting lineup were the #10 driven by Jennifer Jo Cobb, the #57 driven by Norm Benning, the #74 driven by Mike Harmon and the #68 driven by Clay Greenfield.
