Justin Allgaier

Northeastern Supply, one of the nation’s leading regional distributors of plumbing, heating, HVAC, air conditioning, water systems and hardware supplies will return to team sponsorship in the NASCAR Nationwide Series for the 19th consecutive year in 2012. The Baltimore, Maryland-based company will return as an associate sponsor with Turner Motorsports for the fourth straight season and in support of the #31 Brandt Farm Equipment team and driver Justin Allgaier.

“Our NASCAR program has grown significantly over the years, and because of the strong support our racing program receives from our customers and vendors each year, it was a no-brainer to make it 19 straight seasons of such activity in 2012,” said Steve Cook, Northeastern Supply’s President and CEO.

During the company’s nearly two decades of NASCAR programming, Northeastern Supply has grown from a business with six branches in two Middle Atlantic States to one operating 32 branches and distribution centers conducting business in Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia and Washington, DC.

“The associate support we have given so many NASCAR teams in the Nationwide Division over the years has been an interesting journey for our company, and because of how they do business and treat their sponsors, it was an easy decision for us to remain with Turner Motorsports for another season,” Cook explained.

“We enjoyed three good seasons backing the efforts of the Great Clips team and drivers Jason Leffler and Kasey Kahne. Now we’ve decided to move over to Justin Allgaier and the #31 Brandt Farm Equipment Chevrolet team in 2012 in hopes of helping them challenge for the championship,” Cook added.

Allgaier is the 25-year-old Riverton, IL driver who in his last two Nationwide Series campaigns has posted two victories and finished fourth and third, respectively, in the 2010 and 2011 driver championship competition. Allgaier’s 2010 effort came while driving a Dodge for Penske Racing before moving over to a Chevrolet at Turner Motorsports last season in which he recorded six top five and 17 top ten finishes in beating everyone in points except for champ Ricky Stenhouse, Jr. and runner-up Elliott Sadler.

Nicknamed “Little Gator” at a young age because of his small size and ferociousness behind the wheel, Allgaier began developing his talents driving quarter midgets and by the time he was 12 had already earned more than 100 feature wins and five championships.

Allgaier steadily progressed up the competition ladder, moving to Late Models at age 13. In 2001, at just 14 years of age, Allgaier made national headlines when he became the youngest driver to ever qualify for the ‘A’ Main in the famed Chili Bowl indoor midget event in Tulsa, OK. That performance enabled Justin to earn a shot to race full bodied stock cars two years later when he debuted in the ARCA RE/MAX Series with a team part-owned by former NASCAR star Ken Schrader. In three starts in this high-level competition that season, Allgaier earned a best finish of 11th and the experience served as a springboard to a full-time ARCA effort in 2006.

In 2007, after returning to the Chili Bowl and earning a third place finish in the ‘A’ Main behind now 3-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion Tony Stewart and veteran J.J. Yeley, Allgaier ran all 23 ARCA races and finished fourth in driver points after winning once, posting four top five and 11 top ten finishes. He also found time that year to win five UMP Late Model Series and three midget races, displaying ability to successfully drive pretty much anything on four wheels.

Allgaier raced 21 times in 2008 in the ARCA RE/MAX Series, and at the age of 22 captured the overall championship with a 6-win, 14 top-five and 16 top-ten campaign that directly propelled him to NASCAR and a driver development contract with Penske Racing. He made his Nationwide Series debut for Penske that same year before competing full-time in the country’s second top stock car circuit in 2009.

In 35 starts that season, Allgaier recorded three top five and 12 top ten finishes en-route to a 6th place finish in driver points. Only a lack of sponsorship dollars kept Allgaier from continuing with the Penske organization beyond the 2010 season when Justin had a breakout year that included his first Nationwide Series victory, two poles, an average 11th place finish and a 4th place effort in driver points. Penske Racing’s loss is obviously Turner Motorsports’ gain and now to the benefit of Justin’s newest sponsor, Northeastern Supply.

Allgaier will be the lone Turner Motorsports driver to carry the Northeastern Supply flag in 2012 that will feature the hard-charging chauffeur in various Northeastern Supply promotions conducted throughout the season. Heading these promotions will be a variety of customer-driven events to be held in conjunction with each of the two NASCAR race weekends at the Dover (DE) International Speedway, Northeastern Supply’s “home” race track.

“We’re excited to have Northeastern Supply back in the Turner Motorsports family next year,” Allgaier stated. “The upcoming season will be Northeastern’s 19th consecutive in NASCAR Nationwide Series competition and fourth straight with Turner Motorsports. I know they have several big events scheduled throughout the year and I’m honored to have the chance to be included and play a more integral part in them.”

Allgaier is the latest top name to be added to the impressive list of drivers who have been sponsored by Northeastern Supply over the years. That list includes Leffler, Kahne, Yeley, Mike and Kenny Wallace, Jason Keller, Phil Parsons, Sterling Marlin, Hank Parker, Jr. and Kevin Lepage.

• The NASCAR Nationwide Series title is the third for Ford Racing and Roush Fenway Racing (Greg Biffle in 2002 and Carl Edwards in 2007).

• This marks 12th driver’s championship for Ford Racing in NASCAR’s top three divisions combined (8 NSCS, 3 NNS, 1 NCWTS) and the sixth overall for Roush Fenway Racing (2 NSCS, 3NNS, 1 NCWTS).

• Today also capped an impressive season for Mustang, which won a manufacturer and driver championships in its rookie NASCAR season. In addition, Mustang won 13 NASCAR Nationwide Series races, which is the most for any model in 2011.

FORD CHAMPIONS

• Greg Biffle became the first driver in NASCAR history to win a NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and NASCAR Nationwide Series championship. Biffle captured the 2002 NNS title in dominant fashion as he posted a series-best 25 top-10 and 20 top-5 finishes in 34 starts. In addition, he tied for first with poles (5) and wins (4), but his consistency throughout led to a 264-point victory for the championship over second-place Jason Keller.

• Carl Edwards won his first NASCAR championship in even more dominating fashion than Biffle as he claimed the championship by 618 points over runner-up David Reutimann. Edwards led the series with 21 top-10 finishes while tying for most top-5 efforts with 15 in 35 starts. He swept both races at Nashville for two of his four wins on the season with the other two coming at Bristol and Dover. Edwards was in charge of the points race pretty much the entire season, taking the lead after a fourth-place finish on the Mexico City road course in the third event of the year and never giving it up.

• Ricky Stenhouse Jr. won his first NASCAR Nationwide Series championship in only his second full season of competition through consistency. He led the point standings for 17 weeks, including the final 14, and won the first two races of his career as he swept both events at Iowa Speedway. Stenhouse Jr. battled Elliott Sadler the final month of the season, but came out on top by virtue of six top-5 and nine top-10 finishes over the final nine races.

FORD RACING CLINCHES 2011 NASCAR NATIONWIDE SERIES MANUFACTURER’S CHAMPIONSHIP

JAMIE ALLISON, Director, Ford Racing —

“We’re thrilled to win the NASCAR Nationwide Manufacturers’ Championship. Not only is it our first since 2002, but, more importantly, it’s the first championship for Mustang in NASCAR. Mustang – as it has for 47 years – continues to be a force in all forms of racing. This has been a great year for
Ford and Roush Fenway in Nationwide, with Carl, Ricky and Trevor all providing some great moments and 13 victories. Now, it would be great
to add the driver’s championship by Ricky to this special year for Mustang and Ford.”

BORN TO RACE –

Mustang winning a championship in its first year of NASCAR competition won’t come as a surprise to Ford enthusiasts, who have known about the muscle car’s racing pedigree ever since it came off the assembly line for the first time in April of 1964. In fact, a little more than a month after its April 17 introduction, Mustang was on the race track as a pace car leading the 1964 Indianapolis 500. And before the year was out, it was a winner in competition, finishing first and second in class in the 1964 Tour de France international rally.

THE MOST SINCE –

In addition to helping deliver a manufacturer’s championship, Mustang has been to victory lane more than any other model in 2011. Mustang has 13 wins so far this season, which represents the highest single-season win total in the NASCAR Nationwide Series for Ford Racing since 2002 when it won 16 races.

FEELS LIKE THE THIRD TIME –

This marks the third time Ford has won the NASCAR Nationwide Series manufacturer’s title. The first time came in 1995 when Chad Little led the Ford contingent with six wins while Dale Jarrett and Mark Martin contributed three each. Kenny Wallace and Tim Fedewa also scored victories that year for Ford. The second title came courtesy of Greg Biffle, who won the driver’s championship and was a leader on the manufacturer side. Jeff Burton actually led the way with five wins that season while Biffle and Jason Keller registered four each, Scott Riggs two and Bobby Hamilton Jr. one.

Ford NASCAR Nationwide Manufacturer Championship Seasons: 1995, 2002, 2011

Ford NASCAR Nationwide Series Champions:

• Greg Biffle (2002)

• Carl Edwards (2007)

Ford Finishing Order:

1st – Trevor Bayne

3rd – Carl Edwards

6th – Ricky Stenhouse Jr.

29th – Joey Gase

33rd – Timmy Hill

35th – David Ragan

37th – Carl Long

38th – J.J. Yeley

40th – Tim Andrews

BAYNE WINS FIRST NASCAR NATIONWIDE SERIES RACE

• Trevor Bayne registered his first NASCAR Nationwide Series win with today’s victory at Texas.

• The victory is the 13th for Mustang in its inaugural season by three different drivers (Edwards, Bayne and Stenhouse Jr.) and is the most among all manufacturers.

• The win is also the 299th all-time win for Roush Fenway Racing in the NASCAR Sprint Cup and NASCAR Nationwide Series combined.

TREVOR BAYNE – No. 16 Ford. Drive One. Ford Mustang – VICTORY LANE INTERVIEW –

“This is just as surreal as the 500. That’s hard to say, but this has been so long. We’ve worked so hard to get our first Nationwide win and I wasn’t sure if it was ever gonna happen. I was thinking maybe the next Cup win would come first, but these guys worked their butts off to get us here and God pulled us through.

Man, this is crazy. It doesn’t seem real again, just like the 500. The fashion we were able to win that race, going up and racing against one of the best in motorsport in Carl Edwards, to pass him for the win and get Ford this manufacturer championship and put our effort into it is great. Everybody has won races and leading the points and we were ready to get our first win. I’m glad we could do it here.”

YOU DIDN’T HAVE A WINNING CAR UNTIL THE END.

“That was a last-minute save by Chad Norris. I didn’t think this car had it in it. I thought it might all week, but with about 14 to go I didn’t know if we’d be able to get up there and get the win, but he dialed it in and the pit crew did a great job getting me back out and this thing was a beast at the end.”

THIS PLACE MUST BE ON YOUR FAVORITE LIST.

“It is. It’s one of the toughest to drive and that’s why I’ve always wanted to get a win at a place like this. Daytona is great, but that’s restrictor plate racing. I hate to say it but a lot of people could be in victory lane there, but to win at a mile-and-a-half that has been one of my dreams
and Texas is by far one of the toughest places to drive, so I’m reallyexcited about this victory.”

RICKY STENHOUSE JR. – No. 6 Sam’s Club / Cargill Ford Mustang –

“That was good. It’s awesome to see Trevor win. I think that wraps up the manufacturer’s championship for Ford Racing, so that was one goal that
we wanted this year and we finally got that done. Our Sam’s Club Members Mark Angus Beef Mustang was really good at first and then it kind of backed up a little bit. We lost some track position and got a great restart there at the end. I thought we were gonna get home with a top five, but we’ll definitely take where we finished.”

WHAT ABOUT THE LAST FEW LAPS?

“That was fun. We were just a little bit too to keep in front of the 22 and run a couple more down, but it was awesome to see Trevor get a win this year in the Nationwide Series. This wraps up a Ford championship for manufacturers, so that’s awesome. It was a good day for the Sam’s Club Members Mark Angus Beef Ford.”

YOU ARE 17 POINTS AHEAD OF ELLIOTT NOW.

“That’s good. That’s better than where we were when we came in and that’sreally all we can ask for.”

CARL EDWARDS – No. 60 Fastenal Ford Mustang –

“He earned that one. He drove really well. That restart he did a really good job. I wasn’t worried about giving him the bottom because I thought I could hang on his door and beat him, but our Fastenal Mustang was really good for the majority of the day. At the end, once those guys got by they were
able to drive away. That’s better than finishing right on their bumper because it’s tough to lead that much and not win the thing, but Trevor is a great guy and he deserves to win. I’m happy for him and for Ford.”

DAVID RAGAN – No. 08 Texas Tech Ford Mustang –

“We were making a lot of progress. The car was driving as good as it had been all day, but my inexperience with these cars and a start-up team, we just didn’t start where we needed to. I’m proud of the guys. They were making some big adjustments and the car responded, but it just seemed it lost
a cylinder going into one and it was something internally in the engine. We’ll chalk it up as a learning experience. It was fun until she blew.”

CARL EDWARDS PRESS CONFERENCE –

“The restart I was really happy Trevor was behind me and then he wasn’t behind me anymore after that and I was really happy that he was able to hold off the 18. Our Fastenal Mustang was good all day. Towards the end we didn’t adjust our car as well, I don’t think, which is just as much my fault as anyone’s. We had such a dominant run all day. We were maybe a little lax on our last adjustment and Trevor got in there behind me. He pushed me out
in front of the 18 and I wasn’t really worried about him going to the bottom because I thought if he went to the bottom I could hold him off and run on his door and make it hard on him, but I was wrong. He drove right by and then Denny drove by and they just drove away from
us, which made me feel a little bit better that they drove away and I didn’t just give it up 100 percent on that pass. I’m just really glad
he was able to hold off Denny. We did close one point on those guys in the owner’s championship, which is important to us right now, so I
think it’s a two-point race there.”

WHAT WAS YOUR REACTION TO NASCAR PARKING KYLE BUSCH THE REST OF THIS WEEKEND?

“I didn’t hear anything that Mike Helton said, so I don’t know the exact reason or anything like that. I’ll just let Denny talk about that.”

WILL YOU THINK TWICE ABOUT DUMPING SOMEONE IN THE FUTURE?

“Like I said, I haven’t heard what Mike said yet and I haven’t had a chance to talk to him, so I don’t know yet.”

HOW BIG DO YOU THINK THIS IS FOR TREVOR TO WIN?

“I think it’s huge for Trevor. I’m happy to see him have success, as happy as I can be as a competitor of his. I think that Trevor has
been through a lot this year. I think he’s been through a lot that anybody in his position would consider that a big journey that he’s been on and to be as young as he is and to have so many changes in his life right now, and for him to handle everything as gracefully as he has, I think, says a lot about him. So it’s neat to see someone like that have some success. If it becomes a regular thing, I don’t know
if I would be as happy for him, but I am happy for him today.”

WHAT DID YOU LEARN TODAY FOR TOMORROW?

“I think the track was a little different than it was in practice with the Cup cars and as the race went on I learned where some of the grip was and where it wasn’t. I was fortunate enough to be able to start first a couple times and try the inside and outside. That was pretty interesting and overall the way that the track changed throughout the day. Even though the timing is a little different for tomorrow’s race, I still think I learned a
little bit about the way the track is gonna change.”

HOW WILL IT BE NOT HAVING KYLE IN THE RACE TOMORROW?

“How many points back is he (57). I thought he was closer than that, but, like I said, I’d like to talk to Helton about it and understand exactly what the reasoning was and I haven’t talked to Kyle personally or anything, so I still don’t know enough about the situation, but, from a competitive standpoint, that’s one less guy out there that’s chasing you down for the championship. From a pure competition standpoint, that is simpler for us now.”

DANICA FINISHED 11TH TODAY. DO YOU NOTICE THAT SHE’S LEARNING AND GETTING BETTER?

“I came around and only lapped her, I think, one time and it took me a long time to get by her and, finally, when I did get up right to the outside of her coming off the corner I thought she did a great job of giving me just the right amount of room. She’s definitely come a long way in my book. Of course, I knew that when I bumped her out of the way at Montreal, she went in the next corner and bumped me right back out of the way, so she’s a good racer.”

TREVOR BAYNE PRESS CONFERENCE – YOU LED THE FEWEST LAPS FOR A WINNER AT TMS (6).

“Normally, you don’t want a record for leading the least laps, but it’s okay when you have a win at the end of it, so I’ll take that. I think Chad will, too, and Jack and everybody else. We’re really excited with this win and the fashion we were able to do it there at the end, to race against Carl Edwards and Denny Hamlin – two of the best drivers and two of the best cars in the series – and be able to get them there. Carl drove me really, really clean there at the end. I was expecting a bit more from him actually, but he did all he could to hold us off, I guess, and still was clean. That was
really fun at the end. I can’t describe how this feels to get a win in the Nationwide Series finally and to do it with these guys at a
track like Texas, it means a lot to me and it’s my brother’s birthday. I forgot to talk about that earlier, so happy birthday to my little
eight-year-old brother.”

JACK ROUSH, Owner –

“I couldn’t be prouder. Texas has been real good to us. We won with Jeff Burton here in the inaugural race back in the nineties. That was a wonderful event. The thought that I had when I watched the checkered flag fall and Trevor I said, ‘It’s great to be there for his first win,’ but then I remembered his dad said he had taken him racing since he was five years old and he’d run thousands of races and I bet you obviously remember your two wins from this year with NASCAR, but I bet you don’t know how many times you’ve won in your life, have you?”

TREVOR BAYNE CONTINUED –

“I don’t know. It’s somewhere over 400 or so with local events and all that, but I can promise you that these two are the most memorable.”

JACK ROUSH CONTINUED –

“That’s great. I’m really proud of Trevor and proud of Chad and proud of the job that Mike Beam and all the guys did to get the cars to have all that speed in them. Doug Yates and the guys did a great job with the engine and, of course, I’m especially happy to be here with Ford Motor Company to win, I think, the first manufacturer’s title in 10 years or so – since 2002.”

CHAD NORRIS, Crew Chief –

“We kind of struggled a little bit being tight in the center all day and we worked on the front end there a little bit and I knew it was gonna be a 20 or 30-lap run there, and our car was really good on about 20 laps. The caution that came out there with about seven to go really played in our hands. We tightened the thing up just a little bit, just so we could get going, and the thing really took off and he did a really nice job at the end of the race and just raced his butt off. I can’t be more proud for him and Jack and Ford Motor Company.”

TREVOR BAYNE CONTINUED – CAN YOU TALK ABOUT YOUR YEAR AND WHAT DOES THIS DO FOR YOU AFTER A ROUGH WEEK LIKE YOU HAD AT TALLADEGA?

“I don’t know if you could script a story like the year I’ve had. It’s crazy to think only one year ago I was making my first Cup start and to come back here to Texas and get our first Nationwide win, this is a place I’m gonna love from now on. But this year has been a lot of ups and a lot of downs, but I think the people around me and myself, we’ve tried to stay right here the whole time. We’ve tried not to ride it to the top or ride it to the bottom and that’s been important for us – to be able to come back after bad things happen, just like after Talladega with all the negative things that were going on, that was fuel to our fire to be positive and to come out here and show everybody that we’re here to stay and that we can do this and that’s what Chad’s mindset was, that’s what my mindset was, Jack, and everybody around me. We try not to feed off the negative things and we know that we’re gonna be back to a positive day, so, with that said, when we do have good days we do ride that a little bit more. I’m pretty happy to be here and to be in the media center finally for a Nationwide win. It’s a dream come true.”

JACK ROUSH CONTINUED – DO YOU STILL USE THE AUDI WIND TUNNEL IN GERMANY?

“We’ve got a moving-ground plane wind tunnel in Concord and we haven’t been to the Audi wind tunnel in two or three years. It helped us a lot until we got the resource close by, but it’s certainlysomething we look forward to going back and establishing a baseline if
we lose our way.”

TREVOR BAYNE CONTINUED – WERE YOU THINKING ABOUT THIS WAS WHERE YOU GOT SICK LAST TIME OR MADE YOUR FIRST CUP START?

“Honestly, I didn’t really think about anything except coming here off the momentum we had at Charlotte. We’ve learned so much about our mile-and-a-halfs and the Roush Fenway cars have been so strong, and our Wood Brothers car has been the same way at the mile-and-a-halfs lately, so I was kind of feeding off that coming here, trying to do the same thing that Chad has been working on me to do. He’s had me watching different films and things to work on my driving style a little bit. That’s been important and it’s been applicable to a bunch of mile-and-a-halfs and been able to gain advantages and really work that, so it’s been important to learn at Charlotte and bring that here. Obviously, the sickness does come to mind a little bit when you think about Texas and my first Cup start comes to mind, but I would say more the first Cup start than anything.”

JACK ROUSH CONTINUED – HAVE YOU HAD TIME TO HEAR ABOUT THE PENALTIES TO KYLE BUSCH?

“I wasn’t at the truck race last night. I had an engagement that held me away from the race track, so I didn’t see it
first-hand. I became aware of it this morning and the buzz in the garage after I had done one interview already. I really wouldn’t care
to comment on what NASCAR has done. I think that anybody that wrecksone of these cars or creates a problem after a caution or after a
checkered flag really does so at their own peril, and I’m sure NASCAR will do something that’s reasonable in the broad scheme of things.”

TREVOR BAYNE CONTINUED – IS THIS THE FIRST TIME YOU’VE EVER WORN A COWBOY HAT?

“I’ve actually worn them before, probably like Halloween when I was five, and I wore one in this morning and they were making fun of it, so I think now I can actually wear it. I didn’t think it would ever look good with a race suit, but I think this one looks okay.”

JACK ROUSH CONTINUED –

“Actually, I heard when they presented him with his hat in the winner’s circle that he had planned to buy one if he could, if they were available, but this way he saved that investment.”

TREVOR BAYNE CONTINUED – CAN YOU TAKE US THROUGH THE FINAL RESTART?

“Going into the last restart, like Chad said, I knew that our car was gonna be really strong for a short run. We were able to gain three or
four spots every single restart all day, and I knew at the end there with us being in fourth position, that was about the number of cars we
could pass and we were just able to get a great restart, kind of like the one at Charlotte, where we were able to push Carl out front. And
once he got out front, we actually cleared the 18. Had I not cleared the 18, I don’t know that we could have won the race, but, fortunately, we had enough power to get by him and was able to get tothe bottom and get on Carl’s left-rear a little bit and get by him. these kind of restart races, these are the kind of wins you’ve always wanted.

As a driver, I remember at Myrtle Beach Speedway when I was probably 15 years old in the Hooters Pro Cup Series, there was a green-white-checker and I started fourth and ended up winning the race, kind of the same way, and that’s one that’s always stood out in my head, so that’s the driver I want everyone to know I can be – is a guy that can go get it done at the end. I’m glad that we were finally able to do that and I know that these guys have been pulling for me all along and it’s cool to finally see that pay off for them.”

JACK ROUSH CONTINUED – ANYMORE CLARITY ON WHAT RICKY AND TREVOR WILL BE DOING NEXT YEAR?

“Our programs are not firmed up. We’re working with sponsors to try to make the best offering that we can or the best
package that we can, but I really don’t have anything to announce on that. It was another win for the NextGen oil, Valvoline’s new oil,
and we’re real excited about that, too. They’ve got an added package for the oil that’s real attractive for us with the NextGen, but Goodyear had a great tire. We had a great engine. The engineering support from Ford was good and without having all those things behind us, we couldn’t have realized the success that we had today.”

TREVOR BAYNE CONTINUED – DO YOU HAVE ANYTHING TO SAY TO YOUR FANS FROM A SOCIAL MEDIA STANDPOINT?

“Well, after Talladega I’m a little scared of Twitter. I got on there and saw what everybody was saying and kind of hurt my feeling a little bit, so I’ve been staying off a little bit. But I’m really excited to have the following that we do have. After Daytona it obviously skyrocketed from 6,000 to around 64,000 now on Facebook and everything, so I really do appreciate the true fansstanding behind me all the time. They’re always there to lift me up and encourage me and just keep me going, so it’s great to have any fans and the social media ones are just as important as the people
that are here, so it’s been cool to see that grow all year long through the ups and downs and seeing the support that unconditional. That means a lot to me.”

Race 32 of 34: O’Reilly Auto Parts Challenge at Texas Motor Speedway

Event Info: Saturday, November 5, 2011, ESPN2 12:55PM EST, PRN 12:30PM EST

Return to Racing at Texas… After two weekends off following Charlotte Motor Speedway to close out the month of October, RAB Racing with
Brack Maggard and veteran driver Kenny Wallace will return to racing action this week as the NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) runs its second event at Texas Motor Speedway in the O’Reilly Auto Parts Challenge. Fresh off of six consecutive top-20 finishes, Wallace hopes to continue his progress with a solid run in the “Lone Star” State.

Making History… This Saturday at Texas Motor Speedway, Kenny Wallace will make his 520th NASCAR Nationwide Series career-start. After the green flag flies in the O’Reilly Auto Parts Challenge, Wallace will set the record for most NASCAR Nationwide Series starts by any driver and secure a lasting spot in Nationwide Series history. Wallace, who made his 519th start at Charlotte Motor Speedway, tied Jason Keller for most NNS starts. The two drivers have surprisingly similar NNS records, both with an average finishing position of 16.7. Wallace will surpass his friend this weekend and accomplish something he never thought possible. Of the record Wallace says, “When I was a little kid growing up in Arnold, Missouri, if you would have told me that I would be able to race in NASCAR my whole life, I would have considered that wishful thinking and a dream. Therefore; my 520th NASCAR Nationwide start will be a dream come true”.

Keeping Tabs… As we head into the last three races of the 2011 NASCAR Nationwide Series season, Kenny Wallace has become a fixture in the driver point standings top-10. He has posted an impressive 1 Top-5, 11 Top-10’s and 26 Top-20’s. Wallace holds steady at seventh for the 20th consecutive week and RAB Racing continues to occupy 13th position in the NNS owner standings. RAB Racing with Brack Maggard will celebrate their own milestone in one week at Phoenix International Raceway. The team will make their 100th career start in NASCAR’s Nationwide Series.

Texas Details…

· Wallace, 47, has 23 combined starts at TMS in the Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series.

· In the Nationwide Series, Wallace has competed in 15 events since 2000, earning his best finish of 9th in 2005.

· RAB Racing with Brack Maggard has competed in five NNS events at Texas Motor Speedway beginning in 2009. RAB Racing recorded its best finish of 18th in November 2009.

Time to “Dash 4 Cash”… Not only did Kenny Wallace post his first top five in three years in the Virginia 529 College Savings 250 at Richmond International Raceway, but he qualified for the final Nationwide Insurance Dash 4 Cash contest. This weekend, Wallace along with three other NNS drivers will compete for $100,000! The highest finisher in the Dollar General 300 Miles of Courage will win. Fans can play along at NASCAR.com.

Counting down… On Saturday, November 5th at Texas Motor Speedway, Kenny Wallace will make his 520th NASCAR Nationwide Series career-start. After the green flag flies in the O’Reilly Auto Parts Challenge, Wallace will set the record for most NASCAR Nationwide Series starts by any driver. The two drivers have surprisingly similar NNS records, both with an average finishing position of 16.7.

Charlotte Details…

· Wallace competed in his first Nationwide Series event at Charlotte Motor Speedway on May 27, 1989, where he took both the green and checked flags from the 12th position.

KENNY WALLACE

Team: RAB Racing with Brack Maggard

Car: No. 09 Toyota Camry

Race 12 of 34: John Deere Dealers 250 presented by Pioneer at Iowa Speedway

Event Info: Sunday, May 22, 2011, Live on ABC at 2:00PM EST and MRN at
1:30PM EST

Go Big or Go Home… This weekend RAB Racing with Brack Maggard and Kenny Wallace will compete in the John Deere Dealers 250 presented by Pioneer at Iowa Speedway for the only Sunday race on the NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) calendar this year. The NNS event will be an occasion to remember for Wallace as he makes his 500th career-start in the Nationwide Series, a feat that has only been accomplished by one other driver in Nationwide Series
history. Wallace will also put up one more big number, 855, as he reaches another milestone with 855 combined-starts in Sprint Cup, Nationwide and Camping World Truck Series competition. Wallace will be joined at the Rusty
Wallace designed track by a conglomeration of sponsors who call the Midwest and “American Heartland” home.

Keeping Tabs… Dover International Speedway proved to be a monster of a weekend for Wallace and RAB Racing as the team sported a new black and green paint scheme in honor of multi-race partner, G-OIL, along with
collecting the team its best finish of the 2011 NNS season. Starting from the 14th position after rain washed out the scheduled Saturday morning qualifying session, Wallace ran in the top-12 for most of the 209-laps, staying away from the clutches of the “Monster Mile,” and earning the team a seventh place finish. As a result of the team’s third top-10,
Wallace narrowed the gap in the driver point standings but remains in the seventh position.

Sponsor Celebration… In a show of support and to celebrate Wallace’s memorable day, the No. 09 RAB Racing Toyota Camry will be adorned by a conglomeration of sponsors. American Ethanol will be joined by two additional partners, Iowa Corn and Big River Resources, as co-primary race sponsors. Additionally, the G-OIL brand from Green Earth Technologies will be back for a second week to serve as an associate race sponsor along with the Best Western Plus Marquis Des Moines Airport Hotel, which will serve as the official RAB Racing hotel while the team makes its first of two trips to Iowa during the 2011 NNS season.

Iowa Details…

• Wallace made his first career-start at Martinsville Speedway in 1988 at the age of 24 driving for Dale Earnhardt Incorporated.

• In addition to joining the “500 Club,” a feat that has thus far only been accomplished in Nationwide Series history by driver Jason Keller, Wallace will make his 855th total career-start competing in NASCAR’s top-three divisions.

• Throughout his 23 years racing in NASCAR’s junior division, Wallace has accumulated 499 starts, 64 top-five’s, 162 top-10’s, 10 pole awards and 9 wins, along with a trio of Most Popular Driver awards.

• With only two previous events held at one of the newest tracks on the circuit, Wallace will make his third appearance on the tri-oval speedway, which coincidentally, was designed by his older brother and NASCAR Champion, Rusty Wallace.

• RAB Racing, along with Wallace, is also experiencing one of its best seasons since joining the Nationwide Series three years ago. The No. 09, with owner Robby Benton, currently resides in 15th in the owner point standings while Wallace occupies seventh in driver points.

The “fans” have spoken…

Wallace will drive the No. 09 Toyota Camry supported by fans from around the world in October’s Nationwide Series
event at Charlotte Motor Speedway. For $20, fans can get their name on Wallace’s No. 09 RAB Racing Toyota Camry and receive a postcard. In addition to fan support, the University of Northwestern Ohio will be
featured on the hood for the memorable event. For more information, please visit www.kennywallace.com.

The highly successful regional distributor of plumbing, heating, HVAC, water systems and hardware products will again provide associate sponsorship to a NASCAR team that began way back in 1994 in the Busch Grand National Series.

2011 will mark the company’s fourth straight season with Turner Motorsports, previously Braun Racing, and in support of Leffler and his Great Clips race team. In each of the first three seasons, Leffler has finished well up in the NASCAR Nationwide Series point’s standing and has been a fixture in the lead pack of cars in many races.

“Our customers and employees have grown quite fond of Jason (Leffler) and the crew members and officials for what is now Turner Motorsports, and we are excited about what the 2011 season may offer. We know that Jason is one heck of a competitor and is about ready to break through with multiple victories and to seriously challenge for a Series championship. We wanted to be there with him and the Great Clips team when that all happens,” said Steve Cook, Northeastern Supply Company president and CEO.

Having supported professional contractors, builders and architects with a wide range of products and services for decades, the Northeastern Supply Company has used its NASCAR involvement to aid its solid growth. The company boasted just six branches in two states when its NASCAR programming first started and today has 32 sales outlets in five Middle Atlantic States (Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, West Virginia and Pennsylvania).

“Our racing program has always focused on our customers and it has proven to be quite successful for us,” Cook explained. “We have always operated with the understanding that once the support of our NASCAR sponsorship has within our customer base and our vendors began to wane that we would get out and spend our marketing dollars elsewhere.

“The hard fact, however, is that interest with our racing activity continues to grow and is stronger than ever, and we have to thank our numerous vendors and the many fine race teams and drivers that we have sponsored over the years for understanding our objectives and for working with us to help us achieve them. We are really looking forward to working with Steve Turner and his organization in 2011 and in helping Jason (Leffler) achieve his goals of winning races and challenging for a championship,” Cook added.

The Northeastern Supply Company logo has adorned Busch Grand National and Nationwide Series race cars driven over the years by such Series’ notables as Jason Keller, Mike and Kenny Wallace, Brian Scott, Kyle Busch, Phil Parsons, Hank Parker, Jr., Kevin Lepage, Sterling Marlin and Tim Fedewa.

Beginning with the Drive 4 COPD 300 in Daytona, McClure returns to the Chevrolet family and will pilot TriStar Impalas for a full Nationwide Series season.

The Hefty(r) brand, one of the longest-running partners in the Nationwide Series, will continue its relationship with McClure for a sixth consecutive season by serving as primary sponsor in all 34 scheduled events.

McClure, a 31-year-old native of Chilhowie, VA will be competing in his fifth full season of NNS competition. The Virginia driver, who finished a career best finish of 17th in NNS Driver points in 2009, has 137 NNS starts and three Sprint Cup Series Starts to his credit, with a best finish of 15th and 26th, respectively.

TriStar Motorsports began as a Sprint Cup Series team in the late 1980′s before evolving into Pro Motor Engines, a thriving independent engine building company providing horsepower to teams in each of NASCAR’s top three series. The team returned to Nationwide Series competition in 2010 with drivers Tony Raines, Jason Keller and Jeff Green, scoring a Top 5, and 3 Top 10 finishes.

The team’s car number, as well as other program details will be announced at a later date.

Eric McClure Quotes:

(What are your expectations for the 2011 season and being with a new team?)

“I’m looking forward to joining TriStar Motorsports in 2011. They have a great nucleus in place and as a multi-car team this past year was able to accomplish quite a bit of success and grow their race team. I think that’s a testament to the quality drivers and personnel they had, and certainly Mark Smith, who is a racer in every sense of the word. He reminds me a lot of my father and his brothers when they built their team up over the years.

Our responsibilities at TMI are first to find the best home for our sponsorship partners, and secondly, the best place for me to grow as a driver, and I think this presents a great opportunity for our program to be maximized on all fronts. I feel like the final two New Car races this season were my best events in the last half of the year as far as overall performance, so I think we all hope to have a solid, competitive season as the series utilizes the New Car full-time. We have some other things we are working on that, hopefully, we can announce soon that I think are pretty cool and will be beneficial to me and to TriStar’s organization.

(On Hefty(r) brand returning for its sixth consecutive season)

“I, as well as everyone at TMI, am just so appreciative of our relationship with the Hefty(r) brand. This will be our fifth full-time season together, our sixth year overall, and I’m just so privileged that they continue to support our efforts in the NNS. When we started our partnership I never dreamed it would grow to be one of the longest partnerships in our series.”

“We owe a special thanks to the race fans that, regardless of whether or not I’m their favorite driver, continue to support the Hefty(r) brand and their quality products at their nearest retailer. We strive so hard to create a positive image for the brand and their customers, and it’s evident they’ve been pleased with the result. We’ve developed a great off-track promotion we will announce soon that will reward some of those fans and we look forward to having the opportunity to give something back to the racing community.”

Mark Smith, owner of TriStar Motorsports quotes:

“I am excited to have Eric McClure and the Hefty(r) brand join our TriStar organization. I believe we have been able to assemble a dynamic group of individuals that will result in a competitive upcoming year of racing. Eric has proven to be a solid competitor and is focused on the same goals that we have here at TriStar. So, with a company like Hefty(r) behind Eric and TriStar, I am anxious to see what we can accomplish in the 2011 Nationwide
Series season now that we have joined forces.”

Eric McClure confirmed to Sirius NASCAR Radio’s Sirius Speedway with Dave Moody that he will move from Team Rensi Racing to Tri-Star Motorsports for the 2011 NASCAR Nationwide Series, with sponsorship from Hefty. “It does look like that’s where we’re going to go,” said McClure. “We are going to move over to TriStar Motorsports.

Things have kind of skyrocketed in the last 24 hours, and it looks like we’re going to be able to get the deal done.” He said conversations are underway with 2010 Tri-Star drivers Jason Keller and Tony Raines about ways for them to remain involved, adding, “It’s a great opportunity for me to go over there and learn from two veterans.”

……And

Sirius NASCAR Radio’s Sirius Speedway with Dave Moody has learned that Mark Martin will run a limited schedule in both the Nationwide and Camping World Truck Series’ in 2011 with Turner Motorsports. Reliable sources say that Martin will run an undetermined number of Nationwide and Truck races with Turner next season, with specific dates to be determined once sponsorship and scheduling conflicts are determined.

Turner Motorsports is actively seeking sponsorship for the effort, but a spokesperson for the team denied any knowledge of the deal when contacted earlier today. Martin’s representatives also declined to comment on the story. Martin is the all-time NASCAR Nationwide Series win leader with 48 career victories, just five more than a fast-closing Busch. He also has seven career Truck Series wins

(July 10, 2010) – Earning his 21st career Nationwide Series Pole, Kevin Harvick and the No. 33 Jimmy John’s team led nine laps, ran the entire race in the top nine and earned a solid seventh-place finish in Saturday night’s Dollar General 300 at Chicagoland Speedway.

“We tried a little different set up at Chicago and while we were able to have the speed we needed for qualifying, it didn’t hold up for the race,” said Harvick. “We fought a tight-handling car all race long and I’m just glad we were able to get the finish we did.”

Leading the field to the green flag, Harvick led the first nine laps before settling into the second position on lap 10. Harvick quickly radioed crew chief Ernie Cope that the car was too tight, a condition the team fought throughout the practice sessions. With the race continuing under green-flag conditions, Harvick radioed the team on lap 47 while running in the third position that he felt like he had a tire going down. With green-flag pit stops beginning on lap 50, Harvick gave up the fifth position on lap 54 for four tires, fuel, and an air-pressure and track-bar adjustment. After examining the tires off the car, the team determined the left-front tire had begun to cord. As the field cycled through pit stops, Harvick was scored in the fifth position on lap 59.

Kevin Harvick

Making his way up to third, Harvick radioed the team on lap 63 that he now needed rear grip back as the car was too loose following the previous round of adjustments. Taking advantage of a caution on lap 69, Harvick pitted for four tires, fuel and an air-pressure adjustment. With teams opting for various pit strategies, including two-tire and fuel-only stops, Harvick restarted the race ninth on lap 76.

With four fresh tires, Harvick moved into fifth on lap 79 and reported that the car was too tight. Continuing under another long green-flag run, the field again was forced to make green-flag pit stops. Harvick pitted on lap 131 for four tires, fuel and an air-pressure adjustment to help with the tight-handling conditions. As the field cycled through pit stops, Harvick returned to the seventh position on lap 140. Two laps later, NASCAR waved the caution flag for debris. Harvick stayed out and restarted sixth on lap 147.

Running in the seventh position, Harvick continued to battle the handling of the No. 33 car and when the caution waved on lap 185, the team opted to pit for the final time for four tires, fuel and an air-pressure adjustment. Unfortunately, the changes made the car even tighter for the final laps of the race. The caution flag waved for the last time on lap 196, forcing NASCAR to a green-white-checkered finish. Harvick was able to hold onto seventh to score his 14th top-eight finish in 15 starts this season.

Kyle Busch won, breaking his tie with Harvick on the all-time Nationwide Series win list, moving him solely into the second position behind Mark Martin. Joey Logano finished second followed by Brian Scott, David Reutimann and Jason Keller.
