(January 25, 2012) - Richard Childress Racing announced today road-course specialist Max Papis has been tapped to pilot its No. 33 Rheem/Menards Chevrolet when the NASCAR Nationwide Series visits Road America on June 23.

In addition to competing at the 14-turn road course, Papis will serve as a driver coach for fellow RCR teammates, assisting in strengthening their road-course racing skills.

“It is an honor to join a history-making team like RCR and continue what I started with Kevin Harvick Inc. the last couple of years,” stated Papis. “I feel ready to win races in NASCAR and, at the same time, I’m honored to have the chance to pass all the experience I built in my last 20 years of competition around the world to real racers like Austin Dillon and Ty Dillon and doing it with my never-give-up attitude that brought me all the way here.”

Papis, a native of Italy who now resides in North Carolina, has nine road-course races on his Nationwide Series resume with his career best finish of second coming at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in August 2009. The 2004 Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series champion has also competed in six NASCAR Sprint Cup Series road-course events, posting his best finish of eighth at Watkins Glen International in the same year.

“Max is a great addition to our driver lineup and to RCR overall,” said Richard Childress, president and CEO of Richard Childress Racing. “He has shown his talents in many different forms of auto racing all over the world and will be able to share that knowledge with our less experienced drivers. He’s the perfect driver for the No. 33 Menards Chevrolet when the NASCAR Nationwide Series gets to Road America. Max also has a tremendous amount of enthusiasm wherever he is, at the track or the shop.”

The 2007 Petite Le Mans race winner made his NASCAR debut in 2006 when he joined the 43-car field in the Nationwide Series race at Watkins Glen International, posting a 14th-place finish. Since then, he has competed in 88 races across NASCAR’s top three national series, accumulating two-top five and seven top-10 results.

Papis is scheduled to share the No. 33 Nationwide Series ride with teammates Brendan Gaughan, Kevin Harvick, Paul Menard and Tony Stewart for the 2012 season.

For additional information on today’s announcement, and all that’s happening at RCR, please visit www.rcrracing.com.

(January 4, 2012) – JR Motorsports’ flagship team will compete for a NASCAR Nationwide Series championship with one of the sport’s up-and-coming stars, as Cole Whitt has been tabbed to drive the company’s flagship No. 88 Chevrolet in 2012, team owner Dale Earnhardt Jr. announced today.

Whitt, a 20-year-old native of Alpine, Calif., will also compete for Sunoco Rookie-of-the-Year honors. He comes to JR Motorsports from the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, where he finished ninth in last year’s championship standings with one pole, two top-five and 11 top-10 finishes. To date he is the youngest driver ever to win the USAC (United States Auto Club) National Midget championship, as his title-winning effort in 2008 put him alongside esteemed former USAC national champions such as Jeff Gordon, Tony Stewart and Kasey Kahne.

“Cole is the guy we wanted, and we’re lucky to get him,” Earnhardt Jr. said. “He’s got raw, untapped talent, but we are most impressed with his ambition. I sought advice and input from people I respect in the industry, and the overwhelming consensus was that Cole has the potential to do great things in this sport.”

The signing of Whitt completes the 2012 driver line-up for JR Motorsports, which will compete in Nationwide Series competition with Whitt in the No. 88 Chevrolet, Danica Patrick in the No. 7 Chevrolet, and Earnhardt Jr. in select races in the No. 5 Chevrolet. All three drivers will compete in the season-opener at Daytona International Speedway on Feb. 25.

“This is a big opportunity for me, and I’m happy to be a part of the JR Motorsports team,” said Whitt, who was introduced to employees Wednesday morning. “I’m grateful to Dale, Kelley and everyone at JR Motorsports for giving me this chance. It’s an honor to work with the Eurys, and I will do everything in my power to put this No. 88 team where it belongs in Victory Lane.”

Whitt got his start racing karts and saw immediate success with eight International Karting Federation championships and two World Karting Association grand national championships. He was the Hoosier Sprint Car Rookie of the Year in 2006 and earned 34 top-10 finishes in 60 USAC starts in 2007 before winning the championship in 2008. Whitt advanced to the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East in 2010, promptly notching two poles and finishing fourth in points in his first year.

OTHER NEWS: JR Motorsports has hired Bruce Cook as crew chief for the No. 5 team, which will run primarily with Earnhardt Jr. in select races. Cook comes to JR Motorsports from Kevin Harvick, Inc., where he served as crew chief in 2011 in the Camping World Truck Series, predominately for the No. 2 KHI Chevrolet, which won the owner’s championship. With Cook atop the pit box, his team scored six wins, 19 top-fives and 22 top-10s. Cook was also the winning crew chief of the Nationwide Series season-opener at Daytona in 2011 with driver Tony Stewart.

ABOUT JR MOTORSPORTS:

What he didn’t envision was perhaps a three-truck operation as soon as 2012.

But when team owners Kevin and DeLana Harvick opted to sell their organization’s equipment in June 2011, Sharp accelerated his plan, and as a result, Eddie Sharp Racing will field three trucks starting with the season-opening race in February.

“This is a huge jump and I have a tremendous amount of respect for that,” Sharp said after buying the assets to two KHI trucks in September. “But all of the lessons I’ve learned over the eight or nine years has been preparing me for this opportunity.

“This is an opportunity to do something positive, keep people working and put ourselves on the map where we need to be, where I fully intend to be. I’m not here just to be here. I want to make this a very successful, thriving team. I want to put ESR on the map and to utilize what KHI built is almost a no-brainer.”

Sharp hopes that his Eddie Sharp Racing will be talked about in the same conversations that included KHI and the likes of Kyle Busch Motorsports as far as the teams to beat in the trucks.

He will field three trucks in 2012 with Justin Lofton, Cale Gale and one other driver. Lofton won the 2009 ARCA title for Sharp and ended the 2011 season driving for Sharp after breaking away from Germain Racing.

“We’re here to compete for wins and compete for championships,” Sharp said. “I could have not made this big of a leap and we could have slowed everything down – and it would have been much more expensive and a much longer time frame to get where we want to be.”

After a season where College Complete sponsored many different drivers in the truck series, the stars aligned as the season went on and as Justin Lofton (http://www.loftonracing.com) rejoined Eddie Sharp Racing (ESR) College Complete came over with him.

Since coming together and making the mid-season shift to Chevrolet the No.6 CollegeComplete.com Silverado came through with two top-10 finishes and seven top-15 finishes. The Eddie Sharp Racing (http://www.teamesr.com) team improved its performance at the end of the year through hard work, dedication and the purchase of the assets of Kevin Harvick, Inc.’s truck program.

“We were very impressed with Justin both on and off the track and are proud to have him as our spokesperson” said College Complete co-founder Daniel Haim, “We are looking forward to a strong season in 2012 topped off with a number of visits to victory lane.”

College Complete helps potential students understand all of their various school and program options, making sure that they’re choosing the right ones to help them achieve their personal and career goals. With more opportunities available in higher education than ever before, it is easy for students to become overwhelmed with choice. This is where College Complete aims to serve, ensuring that these students get started on their educational journey the right way, whether it is for a traditional Associate’s, Bachelor’s, or Master’s degree, or whether it be a shorter term skilled trade certificate.

Perhaps the most exciting thing about the partnership with CollegeComplete.com is what it means to the sport of NASCAR, and to its fans. The traditional NASCAR audience has been, to a large extent, overlooked by higher education. With the continuation of the partnership, and with Lofton as their vehicle, CollegeComplete.com will continue driving their message to the public, inviting those who are considering a college degree or trade program to utilize their service to fully understand their various educational options.

Justin Lofton

Joining CollegeComplete.com on the No. 6 Chevrolet will be Advanced Payment Services (http://www.JoinAps.com). APS provides Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover merchant services. With national merchant accounts, APS has developed into the premier Independent Sales Organization (ISO). With industry professionals who have 70-plus years experience, APS provides superior service to all its clients; agents and merchants.

APS was a sponsor alongside CollegeComplete.com throughout the 2011 season and will be taking on a larger presence in the 2012 season including some co-primary placements.

“There are tough times right now and it is really special to have sponsors and partners as great as CollegeComplete.com. They are a great service to adult learners, providing education advancement and career advice,” Lofton said. “I am really looking forward to the 2012 season with the No. 6 CollegeComplete.com team.”

Added team owner Eddie Sharp, “I am really glad College Complete has chosen Justin as their spokesperson and with all the exiting things happening at ESR for 2012 having College Complete on board completes the package. College Complete, Justin Lofton and ESR are going to be a winning combination.”

Look for CollegeComplete.com, Eddie Sharp Racing, and Justin Lofton to make another leap forward in 2012, and to make a big impact in NASCAR’s Camping World Truck Series both on and off the track!

About Eddie Sharp Racing:

Eddie Sharp Racing (TeamESR.com) is a 40,000 square foot championship winning race team based in Denver, NC. After just four short years of competition within the ARCA Racing Series, the team impressively accumulated upwards of 20 race wins. 2009 was a pivotal year for ESR, as they dominated the series with six race wins, 15 top-fives and 19 top-10s en route to the series championship with driver Justin Lofton. In 2010, ESR made the transition to the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. In 2011, owner Sharp and Lofton were reunited within truck competition. In 2012, ESR will expand to three teams, with Lofton set to return to the No. 6 CollegeComplete.com Chevrolet Silverado, Cale Gale set to join the team behind the wheel of the No. 33 Rheem Chevrolet Silverado, and a third driver to be named later.

(December 7, 2011) – Richard Childress Racing driver Tim George Jr. will run 12 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series races in 2012 for the 14-time championship-winning organization, driving the No. 2 Chevrolet Silverado with sponsorship from the Potomac Family Dining Group.

George, a New York, N.Y. native, is fresh off his best ARCA Racing Series run, finishing the 2011 season seventh in the final championship point standings on the strength of his first-career win at Pocono Raceway in June, eight top-five and 10 top-10 finishes. The 30-year-old driver made his NASCAR Camping World Truck Series debut in November 2009, one year after claiming victory at New Jersey Motorsports Park in the Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series. He began his racing career in 2005, driving in the Skip Barber Racing School Southern Series and finished second in his class the following year on the heels of five victories.

“Tim has shown a great amount of improvement, running in the ARCA Racing Series these past few years that included his first career win,” said Richard Childress, president and CEO of Richard Childress Racing. “We’re ready to further strengthen his skills and moving him to the Camping World Truck Series is the next logical step. Having Ty Dillon and Joey Coulter as his teammates will help support his learning curve and I’m excited to see how he’ll perform.”

Tim George Jr.

“This is a great opportunity that Richard Childress and everyone at RCR have given me,” stated George. “To be invited back to race in NASCAR with one of the best racing teams in history is a dream come true. Being teammates with Ty Dillon and Joey Coulter will be fun and I look forward to learning more about how to race these trucks. I’m eager to get back in the seat and build on my experience, kicking off the 2012 season strong.”

Potomac Family Dining Group is the exclusive franchisee for the Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill & Bar restaurants in the Washington, D.C. and surrounding area.

“Having an association with Tim this past year has proven to be an exciting experience for us,” said PFDG President Jim Rieger. “Quite frankly, the positive feedback from both our guests and our employees, has exceeded our expectations. And, since so many of our guests are also NASCAR fans, this collaboration is a perfect fit.”

Bruce Cook, who has nearly twenty-five years of motorsports experience, will serve as crew chief for RCR’s No. 2 Chevrolet Silverado team. His most recent stint came at Kevin Harvick Inc. where he captured three wins during the 2010 Nationwide Series season with Kevin Harvick and seven in the Camping World Truck Series with six different drivers en route to the 2011 owner’s championship title.

George’s race schedule and further additions to RCR’s competition department will be forthcoming.

(Nov. 21, 2011) — NASCAR’s future was front and center Monday night as four champions in two national series were crowned.

Ricky Stenhouse Jr., 24 and Austin Dillon, 21, officially were proclaimed champions of the NASCAR Nationwide Series and NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, respectively, on the Americana Ballroom stage at the Loews Miami Beach Hotel.

Both were honored with their first NASCAR national series titles. Each became champion in the season following a rookie-of-the-year performance. Dillon becomes the youngest champion in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series’ 17-year history. Both champions won twice during the 2011 season.

Roush Fenway Racing’s No. 60 Ford Mustang won the NASCAR Nationwide Series Owner Championship, as driver Carl Edwards won eight times. The title is the second in the series for Jack Roush, his previous owner championship coming in 2002. It also marked the first time that the same owner claimed both the NASCAR Nationwide Series driver and owner titles with different teams.

Kevin Harvick Inc. claimed its third NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Owner Championship. DeLana Harvick’s No. 2 Chevrolet Silverado posted seven victories with three different drivers in adding to KHI’s owner titles from 2007 and 2009.

Timmy Hill, an 18-year-old Maryland competitor, won NASCAR Nationwide Series Sunoco Rookie of the Year honors by a single point, tying the series’ closest decision for that award. Dillon’s Richard Childress Racing teammate Joey Coulter, 21, won the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Sunoco Rookie of the Year Award, the second time the same organization claimed both championship and rookie laurels.

Track: Homestead-Miami Speedway

Event: Ford 200 – 134 laps / 201 miles

When: Friday November 18th, 8 PM (Eastern)

Broadcast information: 8:00 PM (Eastern) SPEED, SIRIUSXM, MRN Radio

Last race review: During the last stop for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) at Texas Motor Speedway, Justin Lofton and the No. 6 CollegeComplete.com Eddie Sharp Racing (ESR) team overcame early troubles to come home with a solid 10th place finish. After starting the event sixth, crew chief Dan Bormann coached Lofton through the night, as some issues in the pits and pit strategy shook up the complexity of the race. The team worked together and Lofton wheeled his way to 10th at the drop of the checkered flag.

Lofton at Homestead-Miami: Last season Lofton started the season finale at the Homestead-Miami Speedway from the sixth position, battled back from a flat tire, and closed out his rookie season of NASCAR competition in the seventh spot.

One and done: This Friday’s event at Homestead-Miami Speedway marks the season finale for the NCWTS. Sophomore driver Justin Lofton currently sits in the 14th position in the driver point standings after accumulating three top-10s (with a best finish of seventh) throughout the season. Team owner Eddie Sharp shows 16th in the owner point standings with a team total of four top-10s.

Justin Lofton

Sponsor support: Lofton trekked to Florida early this week in order to spend some time at sponsor College Complete (CollegeComplete.com)’s headquarters in Deerfield Beach before heading to Homestead for Friday night’s race. During his time at College Complete, he met with numerous staff members, watching how they change lives for the better with their education assistance. On Friday, the College Complete headquarters will close early in order for the staff members to shuttle to Homestead to support Lofton and the No. 6 CollegeComplete.com Chevrolet Silverado.

For a good cause: On Friday before heading to Homestead, the staff at College Complete will be visited by a representative from the Community Blood Centers of South Florida in order to take more than 40 cheek swabs for registry in the National Marrow Donor Program. Dan Haim, co-founder of CollegeComplete.com knows all too well the importance of donor testing. His mother Eve was diagnosed with a rare bone marrow disorder, Myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS), which can transform into Leukemia, in March of 2010. Eve received a transplant via the National Marrow Donor Program that November. Sadly, Eve passed away in June. Since then, Lofton’s No. 6 CollegeComplete.com Chevrolet Silverado has donned an orange ribbon on the B-post in her honor in recognition of leukemia awareness. For more information on the registration drive at College Complete, please visit http://www.collegecomplete.com/collegecomplete-com-registers-staff-for-national-marrow-donor-program.html.

Lofton on Homestead-Miami: “I’m excited about Homestead because we’ve had a lot of success on intermediate tracks this year. I’m really looking forward to it because it is a fun track, and a lot of folks from CollegeComplete.com will be joining us. It means a lot to have their support.”

Truck information: Lofton will race chassis 004 this weekend in Miami. It will be the first time Lofton has raced the truck since the team acquired it from Kevin Harvick Inc.

Tournament time:

Plans for the Second Annual Justin Lofton Charity Golf Tournament are beginning to take shape, with dates being set for January 6th and 7th, 2012. The tournament, as it was last year, will take place in Lofton’s native California, at the Del Rio Country Club in Brawley, California. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Boys and Girls Club of the Imperial Valley. Registration and donation information is available via www.BGCImperialValley.org. The two-day event includes autograph sessions, golfing, a dinner, live concert with Curb recording artist Tim Dugger, and a charity auction. Last year Lofton raised $40,000 for the Boys and Girls Clubs.

No. 8 Piquet Realty Chevrolet Silverado

NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Race 25 of 25 – Homestead-Miami Speedway

FINAL DA TEMPORADA DE ROOKIE (END OF THE ROOKIE SEASON): Nelson Piquet Jr. and the No. 8 Kevin Harvick Inc. (KHI) team will head to South Florida for the final NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race of the 2011 season. While the event will mark the young driver’s 25th start of the season and final start as a rookie in the series, it will be his first appearance at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Piquet Jr. has excelled at the intermediate-style tracks on the circuit this season, earning five top-five and seven top-10 finishes in 12 starts on 1.5-mile tracks.

HOMESTEAD ACHIEVEMENTS: KHI has made 11 starts at Homestead-Miami Speedway over the course of the company’s history. Four different drivers have helped KHI collect one win (KHI co-owner Kevin Harvick, 2009), five top-five and nine top-10 finishes, and have led a total of 200 laps at the track.

SIGHTS SET ON ROOKIE HONORS: During the second half of the season, Piquet Jr. has climbed his way through the Rookie of the Year point standings moving into the second position, only five points behind leader Joey Coulter, as the Truck Series heads to Homestead for the final race of the season. With the help of strong consistent finishes, the young driver has worked his way up through the standings from as far back as eighth after the fourth race of the season at Martinsville Speedway in April.

CHASSIS HISTORY: The No. 8 team will unload chassis No. 051 at Homestead-Miami Speedway this weekend. Piquet Jr. has utilized this chassis in competition seven times this season. In those seven starts, the rookie driver earned five top-five and five top-10 finishes. Most recently, the Brazilian native competed with chassis No. 051 at Texas Motor Speedway on November 4 where his fourth-place finished earned him honors as the highest finishing rookie of the race.

MOST POPULAR DRIVER: The checkered flag is about to fall on the Most Popular Driver voting. NASCAR fans can log onto www.nascar.com to cast their vote for Piquet Jr. as the 2011 Truck Series Most Popular Driver. Voting is underway and will continue until Thursday, November 17. Fans can vote once daily until the end of the contest.

PREVIOUS RACE RECAP: Piquet Jr. and the No. 8 KHI team made their way to Texas Motor Speedway with the Truck Series for the WinStar World Casino 350K on November 4. Piquet Jr. started the race from the seventh position and ran within the top 15 for the majority of the 147-lap event before crossing the finish line fourth.

What are your thoughts on racing at Homestead-Miami Speedway?

“I am very much looking forward to the race in Homestead. I seem to do quite well at this style of track, and I’ve learned so much during the course of the season. With that, I’m heading into this race with a lot of confidence in myself and my team. We are only five points behind Joey Coulter for the Sunoco Rookie of the Year award, and I’m hoping that after the race this weekend we’ll be able to take over the lead. A solid finish will also help me achieve my primary goal of the season, finishing within the top-10 in the Driver Point standings.”

No. 2 OneMain Financial Chevrolet Impala

NASCAR Nationwide Series Race 34 of 34 – Homestead-Miami Speedway

SEASON FINALE: Elliott Sadler and the No. 2 OneMain Financial team head to Homestead-Miami Speedway this weekend for the final race of the 2011 NASCAR Nationwide Series season. Going into the season’s end, the No. 2 team has collected 12 top-five and 23 top-10 finishes, along with 174 led laps. He also earned a career-high five pole awards.

TWICE THE ONEMAIN FINANCIAL AT HOMESTEAD: OneMain Financial will again be pulling double duty in both the Nationwide Series and the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series events during the season-finale weekend. Ron Hornaday will pilot the No. 33 OneMain Financial Chevrolet Silverado in the Truck Series race on Friday night with Sadler competing the following day in the No. 2 OneMain Financial Nationwide Series ride.

RACING IN SOUTH FLORIDA: Sadler has competed at the 1.5-mile track five times in the Nationwide Series, with a best finish of fifth in 1996. The Emporia, Va., native has also turned laps at the track in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series 12 times, bringing home a ninth-place finish in 2002. Sadler made his first Truck Series start at the track last season, starting from the second row and finishing 13th.

KHI AT HOMESTEAD: KHI has made nine starts at Homestead with one top-five and five top-10 finishes. Team co-owner Kevin Harvick earned the organization’s top finish in 2010 coming home second.

CHASSIS HISTORY: The No. 2 team will unload chassis No. 082 this weekend at Homestead. This is the second time the team will compete with No. 082. Sadler drove this chassis to a ninth-place finish at Texas Motor Speedway on November 5.

PREVIOUS RACE RECAP: Sadler and the No. 2 OneMain Finanical team finished 27th last weekend at Phoenix International Raceway after a late-race incident put the team out of the race with 25 laps remaining.

TO THE POINT: Heading into the last race of the season, Sadler sits in the second position in the Nationwide Series Driver Point standings, 41 points behind the leader.

THOUGHTS FROM THE DRIVER: Elliott Sadler

How do you feel heading into this week’s race at Homestead?

“Last weekend in Phoenix was disappointing for the entire OneMain Financial team when we were involved in a late-race incident that took us out of contention in the race. We’re going to head to Homestead ready to give it everything that we have for the win. This team has worked with such drive and desire for the entire season, and I am proud to be a part of this team. Homestead is one of my favorite tracks on the circuit, and our 1.5-mile program has been strong all season.”

MOST POPULAR DRIVER: Sadler is eligible for the 2011 NASCAR Nationwide Series Most Popular Driver award. Fans can vote for Sadler now through November 17 on www.NASCARNationwideSeries.com.

No. 33 Rheem Heating, Cooling & Water Heating Chevrolet Impala

NASCAR Nationwide Series Race 34 of 34 – Homestead-Miami Speedway

THAT’S A WRAP: Just as the No. 33 Kevin Harvick Inc. (KHI) team started the season, they’ll end the season with driver Clint Bowyer behind the wheel of the Rheem Chevrolet Impala this Saturday at Homestead-Miami Speedway. In nine starts with the team, he’s collected one pole (Daytona International Speedway in February), four top-five and six top-10 finishes with 144 laps led.

BY THE NUMBERS: KHI has made eight starts at the 1.5-mile South Florida track with one top-five and three top-10 finishes. KHI co-owner Kevin Harvick captured the organization’s best finish of second in the season finale last year while driving the No. 33 Chevrolet.

CHASSIS HISTORY: The No. 33 team has elected to compete with chassis No. 071 this weekend at Homestead. This chassis has been utilized 11 times this season with a best finish of third twice (Harvick at Auto Club Speedway in March and Paul Menard at Texas Motor Speedway in April). Most recently, Bowyer drove chassis No. 071 to a fourth-place finish during the second visit of the season at Texas Motor Speedway on November 5.

PREVIOUS RACE RECAP: Bowyer and the No. 33 KHI team headed out west to Phoenix International Raceway for the second-to-last Nationwide Series event of the season last weekend. The Emporia, Kan., native qualified the Rheem Chevrolet Impala in the fourth position for the 200-lap contest and drove to a seventh-place finish.

Clint Bowyer - Photo Credit: John Harrelson / Getty Images for NASCAR

THOUGHTS FROM THE DRIVER: CLINT BOWYER

“I’ve had a lot of fun racing in this No. 33 Chevrolet and with this KHI team this year. It’s hard to believe it’s the end of the season already. We’ve had some really solid races, but just haven’t had the finishes to show for it. I’m hoping to go out on top and get this Rheem Chevrolet to victory lane.”

PREVIOUS RACE RECAP: Harvick climbed behind the wheel of the No. 2 Hunt Brothers Pizza Chevrolet Silverado as the Truck Series made its way to Texas Motor Speedway for the WinStar World Casino 350K on November 4.
What are your thoughts heading into the race at Homestead-Miami Speedway?

“I feel really good about the Truck Series race at Homestead. I’m a little more relaxed for this race, since we clinched the Truck Series Owner’s Championship after the victory at Texas. Of course the goal is to go out there and put the Hunt Brothers Pizza Chevrolet back in victory lane, but heading into the race knowing we have already achieved one of our goals for the season takes a bit of the pressure away. I think this will be a great race for the team, and I’m extremely excited to celebrate the owner’s championship after the race with the team and our sponsors.”

NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Race 25 of 25 – Homestead-Miami Speedway

ANOTHER CAREER MILESTONE: Four-time NASCAR Camping World Truck Series champion Ron Hornaday will head into the 2011 season finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway adding another milestone to his career this season. The veteran will be behind the wheel of the No. 33 OneMain Financial Chevrolet making his 300th Truck Series start and gunning to close out the year at Kevin Harvick Inc. (KHI) with his fifth win of the season.

CHASSIS HISTORY: Crew chief Bruce Cook and the No. 33 crew will unload chassis No. 042 when the team arrives at Homestead-Miami Speedway this weekend. This chassis has been used in competition six times this season at Darlington Raceway, Nashville Superspeedway, Dover International Speedway, Texas Motor Speedway, and again at Nashville Superspeedway in July. Most recently, the chassis took a trip to victory lane on August 24 at Bristol Motor Speedway with KHI co-owner Kevin Harvick. This chassis has collected two top-five and five top-10 finishes in its six starts.

PREVIOUS RACE RECAP: Hornaday climbed behind the wheel of the No. 33 OneMain Financial Chevrolet on November 4 at Texas Motor Speedway for the WinStar World Casino 350k. Looking to gain further ground in the championship battle before the final race of the season, the four-time Truck Series champion was making laps around the 1.5-mile track showing that the KHI team was the one to beat. Trouble hit the team, however, on lap 15 as Hornaday was caught up in an accident that relegated him to a 34th-place finish.

What are your thoughts heading into the season finale and your final race with KHI?

“I know heading to Homestead with Bruce Cook and his crew that we will have a chance to win. It would be really great for us to get a win for OneMain Financial and to also give Kevin and DeLana one last trip to victory lane in the Truck Series. I wish we were in the middle of championship battle but we are not, so we will go out race hard and do what we have to do for the win.

“Kevin and DeLana have given me great equipment that has allowed me to have the successful career that I’ve had at KHI. I am very thankful to all of the employees, sponsors and fans that have put in the hard work and made things happen over the past seven seasons together. It’s going to be a bittersweet race.”

No. 2 OneMain Financial Chevrolet Impala

NASCAR Nationwide Series Race 33 of 34 – Phoenix International Raceway

HEADING WEST: Elliott Sadler and the No. 2 OneMain Financial team return to Phoenix International Raceway for the second event of the season at the Avondale, Ariz., track. In the first race at Phoenix this season, Sadler fought a loose-handling car and battled back from one lap down to finish 12th.

SADLER AT PHOENIX: Sadler has competed at the one-mile tri-oval five times in his Nationwide Series career, with one top-five finish and a best finish of second in 2005. He also has 18 starts in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series with a best finish of 10th in 2002.

MILE OF DREAMS: In Sadler’s career in the Nationwide Series, three of his five wins have come at one-mile tracks. His first came at Nazareth Speedway in 1998, Gateway International Raceway in 1997 and Rockingham Speedway in 1998.

KHI IN THE DESERT: KHI has made a total of 18 starts at Phoenix, earning eight top-five and 11 top-10 finishes. Team co-owner Kevin Harvick earned the highest finish for the organization with a second-place finish in 2009 and in the April and November races in 2010.

CHASSIS HISTORY: The No. 2 OneMain Financial team will unload chassis No. 068 at Phoenix this weekend. This is the sixth time the No. 2 team has utilized this chassis, including the first event at Phoenix in February where the team finished 12th. The team also used No. 068 in the April and September races at Richmond International Raceway (fourth and sixth), at Iowa Speedway in May (fifth) and New Hampshire in July (12th).

PREVIOUS RACE RECAP: Sadler and the No. 2 OneMain Financial Chevrolet earned their 23rd top-10 finish Saturday afternoon at Texas Motor Speedway. The KHI team kicked off the weekend with their fifth pole award of the season, but a loose-handling condition late in the race relegated Sadler to a ninth-place finish.

TO THE POINT: Sadler remains in the second position in the Nationwide Series Driver Points standings. With two events left on the schedule, Sadler sits 17 points behind the leader.

MEET ELLIOTT SADLER: Fans will have the opportunity to meet Sadler at the OneMain Financial Branch at 7620 East Indian School Road, Scottsdale, Ariz., on Nov. 11. Beginning at 5 p.m., Sadler will meet with fans, sign autographs and take photos.

Elliott Sadler

THOUGHTS FROM THE DRIVER: Elliott Sadler

How do you feel heading into this week’s race at Phoenix?

“Going to Phoenix with two-wide racing, we really don’t know what to expect. It’s definitely a wild-card race. We know a little bit about what is going to happen, but it’s a brand-new race track with the repaving. Once we get racing, track position is going to be crucial. It may be one of those races that changes the game in the championship standings, and our OneMain Financial team is going to do everything we can to make the right adjustments throughout the weekend to have a solid finish before heading to Homestead.”

MOST POPULAR DRIVER: Sadler is eligible for the 2011 NASCAR Nationwide Series Most Popular Driver award. Fans can vote for Sadler now through November 17 on www.NASCARNationwideSeries.com.
