“This was a tough race,” said de Silvestro. “We struggled a little bit from the start, and then PT punting us didn’t really help. It was pretty annoying.”
Early in the race, an aggressive move from Paul Tracy left de Silvestro sitting in the hairpin. Not allowing that to deter her, she completed the race in a consistent manner and indicated that this was a learning experience.
“Moving forward, I think we have some work to do based on this weekend,” she said. “The guys did a good job with all the changes we threw at them and they were really proactive. That was good but we just didn’t quite find it this time.”

“I’m excited for Brazil,” she said. “The biggest goal is going to be unloading a fast car. We’ve learned a lot here and at St. Pete too, so we’ll take a mix of that, go to Brazil with it and I’m sure we’ll do fine.”
Simona de Silvestro will look to resume her successful season in two weeks as the IZOD IndyCar Series heads to the streets of Brazil for the Itaipava Sao Paulo Indy 300 presented by Nestle on Sunday, May 1, 2011.
