2012 NSCS Pure Michigan 400 Final Practice Session Speeds

Jimmie Johnson, in a backup car after having to change an engine earlier in the day, was second fastest with a lap speed of 198.222 mph, and was followed by Joey Logano (197.960 mph) who was third fastest, Matt Kenseth (197.916) fourth and pole-sitter Mark Martin (197.488) was fifth fastest. Rounding out the top-ten fastest during the "Happy Hour" (final) practice session were Kasey Kahne (197.276 mph) who was sixth fastest, Tony Stewart (197.158) seventh, Carl Edwards (197.141 - reported a vibration towards the end of the session) eighth, Denny Hamlin (197.098) ninth and last week's winner, Marcos ...
