“Bowyer to drive eight races, Riggs the other two”

Clint Bowyer will drive the No. 21 Zaxby’s Chevrolet Impala at Charlotte Motor Speedway (May 29 and Oct. 15), Daytona International Speedway (July 2), Bristol Motor Speedway (Aug. 20), Atlanta Motor Speedway (Sept. 4), Richmond International Raceway (Sept. 10), Texas Motor Speedway (Nov. 6) and Homestead-Miami Speedway (Nov. 20). Scott Riggs will drive the car at Nashville Superspeedway (June 5) and Kentucky Speedway (June 12). For the remaining races, Zaxby’s will be an associate sponsor with Zaxby’s branding to be displayed on the car’s lower-rear quarter panels.
“Zaxby’s is a great partner so we’re pleased to announce the continuation of our relationship,” said Ben Schlosser, senior vice president, business operations for Richard Childress Racing. “Zaxby’s has a great product and we’ve already begun discussions about our relationship beyond 2010. Our current goal is for Clint or Scott, or both, to drive the No. 21 Zaxby’s Chevrolet into the winner’s circle.”

“RCR and the NASCAR Nationwide Series provide us a great way to extend the Zaxby’s brand with not only our existing loyal fanatics but with new and diverse audiences,” said Molly Huff, director of marketing at Zaxby’s. “This is a year of celebrations for Zaxby’s including our 20th year in business and the opening of our 500th location. We look forward to adding a few racing celebrations to that mix in the coming weeks.”
RCR is actively seeking sponsorship for the No. 21 team for the remaining races on the 2010 NASCAR Nationwide Series schedule.
