Speedway this weekend.

In an 11th hour deal struck between Hill and Go Green Racing (GGR), Roderick will pilot the No. 04 Randy Hill Racing (RHR) Ford Mustang in the 34th and final Nationwide event of the 2011 season. Originally, Hill had not planned on entering the South Florida contest however; the opportunity arose for Roderick to reunite with GGR under the leadership of NASCAR champion crew chief Paul Andrews and Hill knew it was too good of an opportunity to pass up.
RHR and GGR united for the Zippo 200 at the Glen in August where Roderick qualified and finished the race in his inaugural Nationwide debut.

“Casey’s a magnificent driver,” said Hill, a successful entrepreneur from the Lone Star state. “We (Randy Hill Racing) made our debut at Texas Motor Speedway two weeks ago with David Ragan in order to evaluate our program. Undoubtedly, David (Ragan) was a great asset for the weekend and Casey learned so much and literally became the team’s biggest cheerleader for the weekend. He earned the opportunity to race this weekend.”

He continued, “We had not planned on taking our No. 08 Ford Mustang to the track this weekend in an effort to better prepare ourselves for next year, but when an opportunity arose that offered Casey a chance to get more seat time, I knew it was the right thing to do.”

Casey Roderick

For 19-year old Roderick, he had planned to vegetate in Mooresville, North Carolina this weekend to embrace the closing event of the 2011 season. But, when his telephone chimed with a message from Hill the rising star could barely contain himself.

“It’s very humbling and exciting all at the same time,” Roderick, a winner in the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards stated. “I wasn’t planning on racing anything in NASCAR the rest of the year. Then Randy sent me the text message about how would I feel about racing Homestead, I immediately felt like a kid in a candy store.

Obviously, it’s the last race of the season and there is so much on the line for many of my fellow competitors, that we’ve kept our goals reasonable and easily obtainable on Saturday afternoon. First, we have to qualify, which I think we should be able to ace without hesitation – then it comes to racing all 300 miles in the Ford 300 and give our No. 04 Randy Hill Racing Ford Mustang a good run. I’m looking forward to working with Paul (Andrews) and learning from someone of his caliber. When the weekend is all said and done, we’ll debrief and focus on 2012,” concluded the Lawrenceville, Georgia native.

Hill added, “We’re carefully strategizing our schedule for 2012. We’re talking to some potential sponsors who have become increasingly interested in our program over the last couple of weeks. Not to mention the credentials that Casey (Roderick) has achieved makes me believe it’s going to be a busy, but successful 2012 NASCAR Nationwide Series campaign. However, before we can get started on that, we have to stay focused on Homestead this weekend. I would like to personally thank Archie (St. Hilaire, Go Green Racing owner) for opening the door for us to work together again.”

The Ford 300 (200 laps / 300 miles) is the 34th of 34 events on the 2011 NASCAR Nationwide Series schedule. The first practice session of the weekend begins on Friday, November 18th, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:20 a.m. A final “happy hour” practice session has been etched in from 12:30 p.m. to 1:50 p.m. Qualifying is set for race day, Saturday, November 19th scheduled to lift off at 1:05 pm live on SPEED. The field will take the green flag later that afternoon at 4:30 p.m. with live coverage on ESPN2, the Motor Racing Network (Radio) and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio (Satellite, Channel 90). Pre-race coverage of the anticipated thriller lifts off at 4:00 p.m. also on ESPN2.

No. 34 Monster Energy Chevrolet Impala

Event Preview Fact Sheet

Event / Date: WYPALL 200 Powered by Kimberly-Clark Professional 200 – Nov. 12, 2011

Venue: Phoenix International Raceway – Avondale, Ariz.

This Week’s Monster Energy Chevrolet Impala … Ricky Carmichael will pilot Chassis TMS-311 from the Turner Motorsports NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) stable in Saturday’s WYPALL 200 Powered by Kimberly-Clark Professional at Phoenix International Raceway (PIR). This a brand-new Chevrolet Impala that will be put through its first paces this weekend in Phoenix.

Phoenix Facts … Carmichael will attempt to make his second NNS start at PIR in Saturday’s WYPALL 200. In his lone NNS start at the newly reconfigured one-mile desert oval, the 15-time American Motorcycle Association (AMA) National Champion started 41st and finished 21st, one lap down to the leaders. In NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) action, the 31-year old driver has made three starts, where he’s logged a 21.0 starting average, a 25.3 average finish, completed 419 of 451 laps (93 percent) and earned just over $25,500 in purse money.

A Look Back at Last Week … After being forced to start at the rear of the field following a pre-race engine change, Carmichael, a regular competitor in the NCWTS, and his Monster Energy Team bounced back to post a resilient and impressive eighth-place finish in last Friday night’s WinStar World Casino 350K at Texas Motor Speedway. The solid effort was Carmichael’s seventh top-10 finish of 2011 and bumped him up one spot, from 16th to 15th, in the NCWTS championship point standings.

In a Nutshell … The 2011 season marks Carmichael’s second year competing on a full-time basis and third overall in the NCWTS. Since making his series debut 67 races ago, he has gone on to earn four top-five and 18 top-10 finishes. Over those same 67 races, the motocross legend has logged a 14.8 average start, a 16.9 average finish, led 40 laps, completed 90.3 percent of the laps run and earned just over of $862,000 in purse money. In Nationwide Series competition, he’s made seven starts spanning the last two years and logged a career-best ninth-place finish earlier this season at Road America.

Calling the Shots … Veteran NASCAR crew chief Doug George, Carmichael’s crew chief in the NCWTS, will call the shots for the No. 34 team this weekend in Phoenix. Additionally, Carmichael’s entire Truck Series road crew will prepare the Monster Energy Chevy at PIR.

Nationwide Notes … In 32 NASCAR Nationwide Series races in 2011, TMS-fielded teams have notched three wins, 21 top-five and 61 top-10 finishes. TMS’s No. 32 Dollar General team maintained seventh in owner’s points after Brian Vickers finished 10th last weekend at Texas Motor Speedway. Justin Allgaier, driver of the No. 31 Brandt Chevrolet, was 14th in the final rundown after Texas and jumped from fourth to third in the driver point standings. Jason Leffler was credited with 15th at Texas and held on to sixth in points. NASCAR Sprint Cup, Nationwide and Truck Series veteran Ron Hornaday Jr. will take over the reins of the Dollar General Chevy this weekend at PIR and make his 184th career NNS start. Hornaday boasts one pole, four wins, 32 top-five and 70 top-10 finishes spanning 13 seasons.

Welcome Aboard … Turner Motorsports and Monster Energy are pleased to welcome QuikTrip to the rear quarter panels, deck lid and TV panel of the No. 34 Monster Energy Impala this weekend in Phoenix. QuikTrip Corporation is a privately held company headquartered in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Founded in 1958, QuikTrip has grown to a $9 billion company with 580+ stores in nine major metropolitan areas. Those revenues place QuikTrip high on the Forbes listing of largest privately held companies. QuikTrip’s strategy is to be the dominant convenience/gasoline retailer in each market, and to reach that level not through sheer numbers of stores, but through key, high-volume locations. With over 10,000 employees, Fortune magazine has ranked QuikTrip high on the list of Best Companies To Work for the last nine years. QuikTrip also gives back to the communities it serves, donating five percent of net profits to charitable organizations.

Up to Speed … Live coverage of the WYPALL 200 Powered by Kimberly-Clark Professional will take the green flag Saturday, Nov. 11 beginning at 3 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. The race will be televised live on ESPN2 and broadcast on the Motor Racing Network and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio Channel 90. Qualifying for Carmichael’s fourth and final Nationwide Series start of 2011 will be televised live on SPEED the same day at noon EST.

RICKY CARMICHAEL QUOTES

You’re making your last Nationwide Series start of 2011. You’re a big fan of one-mile race tracks, Phoenix has a new configuration and you’ve got your buddy Ron Hornaday Jr., as a teammate this weekend. You’ve got to be excited about going to Phoenix.

“Life is good. Turner Motorsports and Monster Energy have given me a great opportunity to run some Nationwide Series races this year. I can’t wait to get out on the track Thursday and see what we’ve got. It’s a clean slate for everyone. The track has new pavement and I know the kink on the backstretch is a little different now so it’s going to be a new challenge for everyone. I’m really going to have to rely on the depth of our team so I’m excited to have my crew chief Doug George and my whole team from the Truck Series preparing the car. There will definitely be some synergies from that standpoint. It’s a great opportunity. I can’t wait.”

Have you had a chance to talk to anyone who has had the opportunity to go out to Phoenix and test so you know what to expect?

“I talked to (Kevin) Harvick about it and I saw Dale Jr. (Dale Earnhardt Jr.) out at the SEMA show in Las Vegas last week. Both of them had a chance to go test out there so they gave me some insight. The track is good in the main groove but you definitely have to err on the side of caution if you get out of the groove. I’ve heard the track has had some other cars out there to try and lay down some rubber. We get a couple of extra practices on Thursday so that will give us some more time to get out there and get a feel for the track. That’s going to help out a lot. My main focus is going to be paying close attention and giving good feedback. We’re not locked into the field so we’ll have to qualify on time. We’ll definitely have our work cut out for us. We’re all going to have to be on our toes this weekend – me especially when it comes to cutting a fast lap.”

You’ve also got a lot going on in Phoenix away from the race track.

“I always like going to Phoenix. My wife’s family is from out there and my kids will be out there, too so it’s going to be a fun weekend. On Wednesday, I’ll go to 2XL, which is the company that designed the Ricky Carmichael Motocross Matchup video game and record some voice-overs. I’ve got a dinner with the folks from QuikTrip on Friday and that’s always a great time. I’m just looking forward to the weekend. It’s a great opportunity and I want to make the best of it.”

SS Green Light Racing Thumbnail

It’s a safe bet the SS Green Light Racing team will be grilling out on Saturday evening at the Kentucky Speedway prior to the start of the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Kentucky 225. There will be a little extra aroma coming from the grill this week as Allegro Marinade returns to the No. 81 Toyota Tundra.

Since humble beginnings in a Paris, Tennessee restaurant, Allegro has been bottling and selling their marinade and sauces since the 1970s and are now nationally know for their delicious recipes. Starr hopes the added flavor of Allegro Marinade will give the SS Green Light team a race day advantage at the Kentucky Speedway.

After finishing fifth at Michigan on August 20th, bad luck has followed the SS Green Light team resulting in four straight finishes outside of the top-ten. Starr and the team look forward to Kentucky to turn those fortunes around and have a strong finish to the 2011 season.

“We had some unfortunate bad luck last week, our truck was really good. It’s just unfortunate the way it played out with all the circumstances,” Starr said. “In order for us to get back to the top ten in points we need to get some great finishes the next couple weeks.”

Starr has an impressive record at Kentucky Speedway. In ten previous NCWTS races at the mile and a half speedway, he has finished in the top-fifteen in every single race including an eighth place run in the UNOH 225 back in July. David’s average start is only 17.1 but his average finish is an impressive 9.2. He has seven top-tens and two top-fives finishes completing 1505 of the 1506 laps run over the ten races.

“I’m really looking forward to going back to Kentucky and it’s pretty exciting to have Allegro back on our Toyota,” David explained. “We had a great race the last time they were with us at Nashville, I think we finished eighth. John Fuqua the President of Allegro is a great guy and he had a bunch of his employees at the race and we just had a great time together and a great run.”

David Starr - Photo Credit: John Harrelson / Getty Images for NASCAR

“John’s a first class guy and he just loves NASCAR and he loves to see the Allegro colors on our truck. I can’t think of a better way to thank him for partnering up with SS Green Light Racing than to give him a great finish.”

“Allegro is a great product, my wife cooks with it all the time when she makes us steaks. She marinates our meat in Allegro and to have them on our truck for the second race this year is a great honor.”

“The truck looks beautiful, having Allegro all over the truck looks really great on the racetrack. We are really enthused about this weekend and we are looking forward to a great finish that the team needs and getting Allegro some exposure which they deserve.”

Zachry will provide associate sponsorship this week on the No. 81 Toyota.

The Kentucky 225 is the 265th consecutive NCWTS start for the SS Green Light Racing team and the 285th career start for Starr in the Truck Series. David has four victories, 47 top-fives and 114 top-tens through his 14-year career including two top-fives and seven top-tens so far in 2011.

There are only 31 trucks on the preliminary entry list for the Kentucky 225.

Practice for the Kentucky 225 will be Friday, September 30th from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Qualifying will be Saturday, October 1st at 4:15 p.m. and the green flag will fall on the Kentucky 225 at 8:00 pm. It will be shown live on SPEED TV. It will also be broadcast live via radio worldwide on the Motor Racing Network (MRN) and also Sirius XM NASCAR Radio. All times Eastern.

No. 32 AccuDoc Solutions Silverado Team News and Notes

Previously At Kentucky… Blake Feese has one prior NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) start at Kentucky Speedway coming in July of 2005. He started 30th and drove his way to a 15th-place finish by the end of the 150-lap event.

This Week’s Silverado… The No. 32 AccuDoc Solutions Chevrolet Silverado team will unload chassis TMS-020 for Saturday evening’s 250-mile event. This chassis last saw action at Chicagoland Speedway, where Steve Arpin started from the pole position and brought home a 16th-place finish. TMS-020 also has a pair of starts earlier this season at Texas Motor Speedway where Arpin started fourth, led six laps and finished 23rd, as well as Kentucky Speedway where he started 13st and finished in the 12th position.

AccuDoc Solutions… AccuDoc Solutions will serve as primary sponsor of the No. 32 Chevy Silverado this Saturday evening at Kentucky Speedway. AccuDoc Solutions is based in Morrisville, N.C. and provides billing- statement printing and processing to hospitals and hospital-based physicians. The Turner Motorsports marketing partner also adorns the hood of Jason Leffler’s No. 30 machine in several NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) events in 2011.

AccuDoc in Dover and Kentucky… AccuDoc Solutions will be spread across the states this Saturday. Jason Leffler will pilot the No. 30 AccuDoc Solutions Impala in Saturday afternoon’s NNS event at Dover International Speedway. Meanwhile, five states, and 628 miles away, Feese will pilot the AccuDoc Solutions Silverado in the Kentucky 225 Saturday evening. Interesting to note, the 628-mile drive would leave ample time for the license plate game.

SS Green Light Racing’s David Starr could not be happier to return to a short track with the same Toyota Tundra that finished third at Lucas Raceway Park back in July.

The last two speedway events ended with disappointing finishes with Starr incurring flat tires at both Atlanta and Chicago have dropped Starr to twelfth in the standings and David and the SS Green Light team look for better luck on the flat, one mile oval at Loudon, New Hampshire.

New Hampshire has been a strong racetrack for Starr over his long career. In ten previous NCWTS races at the one-mile Loudon, David’s average start is 12.8 and average finish is 10.6. He has five top-ten and two top-fives finishes and has completed an amazing 99.8% of the laps over the ten races.

“It’s unfortunate we’ve had some bad luck these last two or three weeks and hopefully we can get it turned around at New Hampshire. I really like that racetrack. Its flat, it’s a real challenging racetrack and it’s a lot of fun to race on,” said Starr. “You have to have a good truck that turns in the center with lots of forward bite and some good smoke under the hood. If you are missing one of those key three elements it can be a long day.”

ASI Limited will return to the hood of the SS Green Light Toyota this week. The Indianapolis based company is an industry leader in the building enclosure industry.

David Starr - Photo Credit: John Harrelson / Getty Images for NASCAR

“Loudon a great place and we are really looking forward to getting our ASI Limited/Zachry Toyota Tundra there and having a great finish because we really need one to bounce back. The team goal is to get ourselves back into the top ten in points and to do that we have to start getting some great finishes.”

“Last week at Chicago it was unfortunate that we were at someone else’s mercy that another truck ran into us and cut our left rear tire and we lost two laps. I thought with the changes we made to our Tundra we would have finished in the top-ten but it didn’t work out that way. We just have to put that behind us and move forward.”

“You know, our backs are up against the wall. We have some work to do and everybody at SS Green Light Racing is ready. The important thing is with the number of races we have left is to get some great finishes, we have our work cut out for us and we are all ready for it.”

Zachry will provide associate sponsorship this week on the No. 81 Toyota.

F. W. Webb 175 is the 264th consecutive NCWTS start for the SS Green Light Racing team and the 284th career start for Starr in the Truck Series. David has four victories, 47 top-fives and 114 top-tens through his 14-year career including two top-fives and seven top-tens so far in 2011.

There are 33 trucks on the preliminary entry list for the F. W. Webb 175.

Practice for the F. W. Webb 175 will be Friday, September 23rd from 10:00 a.m. to 11:20 a.m. and 1:15 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Qualifying will be Saturday, September 24th at 10:40 a.m. and the green flag will fall on the F. W. Webb 175 at 3:00 pm. It will be shown live on SPEED TV. It will also be broadcast live via radio worldwide on the Motor Racing Network (MRN) and also Sirius XM NASCAR Radio. All times Eastern.

ASI Limited is a leader in the Building Enclosure and Ornamental Metals industry. Adding to the momentum the team is building is Friday night’s race will be David Starr’s 200th consecutive start in the NCWTS stretching back to July 19th, 2003 at the Gateway International Raceway.

David will have a hometown sponsor for this week’s race on the concrete mile and a third speedway, as Allegro Marinades will again join the SS Green Light team for the Lucas Deep Clean 200.

Zachry will also provide associate sponsorship on the No. 81 this weekend.

“We had a very good Toyota at Nashville back in April so I’m excited to get back there again,” Starr said. “It’s so cool to have Allegro on our truck this week; we get to combine three things I really love with country music, truck racing and grilling with Allegro Marinades.”

“I’m looking forward to meeting all the Allegro employees again and I really hope that we put on a good show for them.”

“My Crew Chief Jason Miller and all the SS Green Light guys have given me great handling trucks the last few races and I think we can run up front this week,” continued Starr. “We made a nice move in the points the last two weeks and we need to keep that momentum going.”

“We’ve identified that fans of NASCAR, country music and those who enjoy grilling out are our best customers,” said John Fuqua, president of Allegro Marinade. “Nashville Speedway is only about two hours away from our facility and we’ll have about half of our employees coming to the race along with customers and business partners. It’s a great place to market our products and reward our employees with a great day at the racetrack.”

David has completed 1651 of 1656 laps in the eleven previous NCWTS races at the Nashville Superspeedway, a 99.7% completion percentage with a best finish of second in 2004. He has three top-fives and five top-tens including an eighth place finish earlier this year with an average starting position of 13.4 and an average finish of 11.2.

The Lucas Deep Clean 200 is the 257th consecutive NCWTS start for the SS Green Light Racing team and the 277th career start and 200th consecutive start for Starr in the Truck Series. David has accumulated four wins, 45 top-fives and 111 top-tens in his 14-year career.

There are only 33 trucks on the preliminary entry list for the Lucas Deep Clean 200.

Practice for the Lucas Deep Clean 200 will be Friday July 22nd from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. with qualifying at 4:10 p.m. The green flag will fall on the Lucas Deep Clean 200 at 7:00 pm. It will be shown live on SPEED TV. It will also be broadcast live via radio worldwide on the Motor Racing Network (MRN) and on SIRIUS Satellite Radio NASCAR Channel 128-XM104. All times Central.

Motor Speedway, Bryan Silas will return to the series for a second straight race looking to strengthen his presence on the track in Saturday’s O’Reilly Auto Parts 250 at Kansas Speedway.

The Stuart, Florida native will return to the seat of the No. 99 CollegeComplete.com Ford F-150 for Chase Mattioli Racing aiming for his 15th career start and second at the 1.5-mile oval.

Now, armed in the hands of friend and crew chief Cal Boprey, Silas has a firm agenda heading into the eighth race of the season and it involves taking his blue oval to the front.

For most of his racing career, Silas, 23 has been a member of the Ford Racing family and while the manufacturer has had great success in NASCAR’s third-tier series, its familiar icon has been missing at the front of the pack thus far in 2011. However, Silas and his crew are hoping to change that when the green flag drops this weekend.

“Ford has been very good to me and my racing career,” said Silas, who in addition to running in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series is also competing in the ARCA Racing Series and USARacing Pro Cup Series.

“I think we proved a lot at Charlotte. We were able to come from the back and find ourselves racing competitively in the top-20 when the checkered flag flew. The run gave the team some much needed momentum heading to Kansas Speedway this weekend. Not only are we looking forward to having a good run for CollegeComplete.com, but it also would be amazing to put our Ford F-150 in the lead pack and mount a solid finish for them too.”

The O’Reilly Auto Parts 250 is set for Saturday, June 4 and will air live on SPEED beginning at 2:00 p.m. Eastern. The race will also be broadcasted through the Motor Racing Network (MRN) and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio (satellite channel 90).

Winners take home a Sam Bass hand painted Gibson guitar rather than the traditional trophy; it’s a Nashville tradition that has gone on for many years dating back to races at the old Nashville Fairgrounds. Being a big fan of Country music, SS Green Light Racing’s David Starr hopes to be the next driver to bring home the coveted guitar when the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series visits the concrete track on Friday night for the Lucas Deep Clean 200.

It’s been three weeks since Starr and the SS Green Light Racing team hit the track together, but both driver and team have kept busy over the break in the schedule. David participated in his first ever Sprint Cup race at Texas two weeks ago and the SS Green Light team won one of the largest Late Model races in recent history when Chris Eggleston took the checkers at the Pro All Star Series $75,000 to win “The Race” at North Wilkesboro. The exciting news has everyone in the SS Green Light shop eager to return to action in the NCWTS.

When Starr and the Zachry Toyota take the green flag it will mark the 250th consecutive start in the NCWTS for co-owner and General Manager Bobby Dotter with the SS Green Light team. The streak began back in 2001 at Daytona and will continue on the concrete mile and a third speedway on Friday night.

David Starr – Photo Credit: Sam Greenwood / Getty Images for NASCAR

“It’s a great track, Nashville has to rank right up there with one of my favorite tracks on the Truck Series,” said an excited Starr. “Being from Texas and being a huge country music fan it’s always fun to go to the city of Nashville because of all the country stars that are there and come out to the track. The Nashville Superspeedway really lays out the red carpet for the drivers in the Truck Series.”

“Man, that concrete track is awesome, it’s fun to race at. The facility is first class, I love everything about racing at Nashville,” Starr continued. “It’s just a great, great, great speedway and the races are always good.

“We are ready to go back after it; both the SS Green Light Racing team and our Zachry Toyota Tundra. After so much bad luck the first four races we are really looking to get that monkey off our back and get our season turned around. Our Tundra’s have been fast and handled well, we’ve just had some bad luck and we are ready to finally get this season kicked off with some good luck, we are looking forward to Friday night.”

“Jason (Miller) and the guys in the shop are excited, I’m excited and hopefully we can be right there at the end contending for that guitar.”

Allegro Marinades will join ASI Limited as an associate sponsor on Starr’s Zachry Tundra at Nashville Superspeedway. “Allegro products are just delicious and they are manufactured right down the road in Paris, TN so it’s pretty cool to have them onboard for the Nashville race,” added David.

In ten career NCWTS starts at the Nashville Superspeedway, David has three top-fives and four top-tens highlighted by a second place run in 2004. His average start is 13.4 and average finish is 10.5, completing an impressive 99.7% of the laps.

The Lucas Deep Clean 200 is the 250th consecutive NCWTS start for the SS Green Light Racing team and the 270th career start for Starr in the series.

There are 39 trucks on the preliminary entry list for the Lucas Deep Clean 200.

Practice for the NCWTS Lucas Deep Clean 200 will be Friday, April 22nd from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Qualifying will be at 4:10 p.m. and the Lucas Oil 200 will be shown live on SPEED TV at 7:00 p.m. All times Central. It will also be broadcast live via radio worldwide on the Motor Racing Network (MRN) and on SIRIUS Satellite Radio NASCAR Channel 128-XM104.

It has been an arduous season for the veteran truck series driver, starting the year with Randy Moss Motorsports before the team shut down in mid-season leaving the veteran driver without a ride.

David joined the SS Green Light team just days before the Chicago race on August 27th keeping his seven plus year NCWTS starting streak alive. He has made the most of his new opportunity with the SS Green Light team finishing in the top-fifteen in each of the eight races they have run together including three top-ten finishes. With David behind the wheel, the team has grown stronger and has very competitive trucks the last four races.

Despite the midseason change, Starr sits a solid ninth in the NCWTS driver standings heading into Friday nights season finale. He is seventy-four points behind Mike Skinner and one hundred sixty ahead of SS Green Light teammate Jason White in the standings.

Starr’s No. 81 Toyota will display the colors of longtime supporter Zachry at Homestead where he has an impressive record in eight career NCWTS races including two top-five and six top-ten finishes highlighted by back-to-back third place finishes in 2003 & 2004. David’s average start is 19.9 and his average finish is a very impressive 8.4. Perhaps even more remarkable is that David has completed all but two of the 1081 laps over the eight races.

David Starr – Photo Credit: Sam Greenwood / Getty Images for NASCAR

“I can’t wait to get to Homestead,” Starr said. “It’s been a long, trying year but I’m happy with where things are at. I really enjoy working with Bobby Dotter, Jason Miller and every one at SS Green Light Racing. They helped me out when I needed a ride and overall I’m pleased with the progress we’ve made over the last few weeks. Hopefully we can build that into a great finish this weekend.”

“I’m proud to have Zachry on our Toyota for the final race of the season,” Starr continued. “We have a great relationship and they have some large projects in Florida, we’ll do our best to put the Zachry Tundra up front.”

SS Green Light Racing Crew Chief Jason Miller is ready for the season finale. “David has a great track record at Homestead, I think we are going to have a strong Toyota for him this week. I’d love to close out the season with a top-five finish.”

With only one race left in the season, White and the SS Green Light Racing team have come close to achieving those goals.

White earned his first career pole at the season opener at Daytona and nearly repeated at Talladega. Jason has three top-five finishes and seven top-ten finishes this season, both career bests. He is currently tenth in the standings, improving six spots over his best finish in 2009. His average start of 14.6 and finish of 15.1 are both career bests. The season has been held back only by four engine failures, which have cost White and the team several positions in the standings.

Jason is also the first driver to race all four manufacturers throughout the 2010 season as the team searched for answers and tried to find a competitive advantage at each of the twenty tracks the series visited.

The points battle for the tenth in the NCWTS point standings tightened up after last weeks disappointing engine failure last week at Phoenix; Jason is now only twenty-three points ahead of James Buescher and fifty-five points ahead of Ricky Carmichael for the coveted tenth place in the standings. “We were in a pretty good position point wise going into Phoenix. A solid finish there would have put us in good shape, but now things have tightened up quite a bit. Just like they did for Denny (Hamlin) in the Cup Series.”

Jason White

“We’re going to run a Ford this week at Homestead. We bought this truck from Roush-Fenway earlier in the year and we’ve run it twice; finishing seventh at Michigan and fourth at Kentucky so we think it give us our best shot on mile and a half at Miami. We should be good, I’m excited to get to the track.”

“Doug (Crew Chief Doug Howe) and the GunBroker guys have worked hard, we’ve tried a lot of different things to help improve the race team,” he added. “It’s been a successful year, but it’s also been disappointing where we have come up just short. I’d really like to get that first victory for GunBroker.com this weekend, we’ve been so close a couple times this year.”

The Ford 200 is White’s 104th NCWTS start and the 245th consecutive NCWTS start for the SS Green Light Racing team.

There are 38 trucks on the preliminary entry list for the Ford 200.

Practice for the NCWTS Ford 200 will be Thursday, November 18th at 5:00 p.m. with final practice 6:30 p.m. Qualifying will be at 5:00 p.m. on Friday November 19th followed by the green flag at 8:00 p.m. The race will be shown live on SPEED TV and will also be broadcast live via radio worldwide on the Motor Racing Network (MRN) and on SIRIUS Satellite Radio NASCAR Channel 128-XM104.

This will be the fourth NCWTS start of 2010 for the twenty-two year old driver having competed at Bristol and New Hampshire earlier in the season before finishing nineteenth in the SS Green Light No. 07 at Martinsville. Homestead will give the youngster his first opportunity to run on a track longer than a mile in length. John has completed 98% of the laps in his first three starts.

Three-time ASA National Champion Butch Miller will again oversee King’s effort in the Fairway Ford No. 07 F-150 at Homestead. “John did a real nice job back at Martinsville,” Miller said. “I think he is a quick learner and most importantly he listens. Homestead will be the largest track he has raced at, but I’m confident he’ll adapt well.”

“We had a great run together at Martinsville,” John said. “I fell I worked really well with Butch and everyone on the team, I’m looking forward to this race even more than Martinsville. I’m excited to get to run on the mile and a half at Homestead, I’ve run a late model at Rockingham and the truck at Loudon, but this will be the biggest track I’ve been to.”

I know the truck’s going to be well prepared,” King added. “We’ve also got a good Ernie Elliott Ford engine under the hood and we’ll have the veteran guidance of Bobby Dotter and the SS Green Light team supporting me in the pits. Practice will be very important for us so I can run laps and get a good feel not only for the truck at high speeds, but also just to get a good feel for running on a track the size of Homestead.

In addition to Fairway Ford of Kingsport, King will have support from Express Signs, The Davis Love Foundation and Ernie Elliott Race Engines on the SS Green Light No. 07 at the season finale.

38 trucks are on the preliminary entry list for the Ford 200.

A week ago in Talladega, Papis piloted the No. 9 GEICO Toyota Tundra solidly at the front of the field and aimed to achieve the same at Texas Motor Speedway on Friday night.

Papis and the GEICO team quickly took to the 1.5-mile quad-oval and appeared comfortable through the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series’ two practice sessions on Thursday. The opening session saw the No. 9 GEICO Tundra 14th on the speed charts, while the final practice session saw Papis as a respectable 19th.

With practice in the books and only qualifying remaining, Papis solidified his position in the field when he qualified the No. 9 GEICO Tundra 23rd for Friday night’s WinStar World Casino 350K NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race. He toured the facility in just 30.608 seconds, at a rate of speed of 176.424 miles per hour.

While his teammate, Todd Bodine, is on the verge of winning his second NASCAR Camping World Truck Series championship, Papis has his mind set on 2011. His final races of the 2010 season are preparing him for his own run at the Truck Series championship in 2011.

Cool temperatures and the smell of thousands of campfires blanketed the racetrack on Friday night, as the green flag waved under clear skies. Starting 23rd, Papis quickly jumped to 20th on the opening lap before a Johanna Long spin brought out the event’s first caution flag of the night. Just one lap into the race, there was no reason for Papis to bring the No. 9 GEICO Tundra down pit road.

Papis would restart 19th on Lap 5 and ride solidly in the Top 20 before the evening’s second caution flag was displayed on Lap 41. Just one lap later, Papis traveled down pit road where the Germain Racing pit crew outfitted the No. 9 GEICO Tundra with four fresh tires, a full tank of fuel and a right rear air pressure adjustment. While Papis entered pit road in the 20th position, the Germain Racing pit crew turned him around in astounding time, sending Mad Max back out onto the racing surface in the 14th position.

The race would once again go green on Lap 49, but just three laps later the caution lights were flashing at Texas Motor Speedway for a crash involving Ron Hornaday, Tayler Malsam and Miguel Paludo. After just three laps of racing, it was not necessary for the No. 9 GEICO Tundra to visit pit road.

Papis restarted the race in the 14th position on Lap 60 and by Lap 97 the Gecko was sitting 12th. The No. 9 GEICO Tundra entered the Top 10 on Lap 98, but the following lap would cause Papis’ demise.

As he exited Turn 4, Papis’ truck appeared to run out of fuel. By the time he entered the front-stretch it was a certainty. Papis managed to coast around the 1.5-mile quad-oval and make it to pit road where the GEICO Racing pit crew would provide him with the necessary fuel. Unfortunately, the GEICO Tundra had stalled and because there was no fuel pressure it would take time to build up the pressure. Once Papis had the truck re-fired, he returned to the race, but he would do so five laps down in the 26th position; a far cry from where he was running in 10th just a few minutes earlier.

Despite the setback, Papis continued to pick up positions and when the checkered flag was displayed, he recorded a 23rd place finish. The final result was clearly not indicative of his performance throughout the evening.

“We had a nice run going tonight in the No. 9 GEICO Tundra, but the fuel problem really ended it for us,” said a dejected Papis. “I battled a tight truck all night, but we kept fighting and this GEICO pit crew did a great job of getting me in and out. We’re building for next year, we have a new crew chief and right now everything is looking great. The things that happened in Talladega last week and then what happened tonight is just misfortune, not mistakes. We’re doing a good job and you will continue to see us be competitive and run up front.”

Papis and the GEICO team will take a week off before traveling to south Florida for the final NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race of the 2010 season.

Papis and the No. 9 GEICO Toyota Tundra will hit the 1.5-mile oval of Homestead-Miami Speedway for the opening practice session at 5:00 PM (EDT) on Thursday, November 18th. Qualifying will take place on Friday at 5:05 PM (EDT).

The Ford 200 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race is on Friday, November 19th. The race will be televised live on SPEED beginning at 7:30 PM (EDT), while the Motor Racing Network (MRN) will carry the live radio broadcast.
