Speedway this weekend.

In an 11th hour deal struck between Hill and Go Green Racing (GGR), Roderick will pilot the No. 04 Randy Hill Racing (RHR) Ford Mustang in the 34th and final Nationwide event of the 2011 season. Originally, Hill had not planned on entering the South Florida contest however; the opportunity arose for Roderick to reunite with GGR under the leadership of NASCAR champion crew chief Paul Andrews and Hill knew it was too good of an opportunity to pass up.
RHR and GGR united for the Zippo 200 at the Glen in August where Roderick qualified and finished the race in his inaugural Nationwide debut.

“Casey’s a magnificent driver,” said Hill, a successful entrepreneur from the Lone Star state. “We (Randy Hill Racing) made our debut at Texas Motor Speedway two weeks ago with David Ragan in order to evaluate our program. Undoubtedly, David (Ragan) was a great asset for the weekend and Casey learned so much and literally became the team’s biggest cheerleader for the weekend. He earned the opportunity to race this weekend.”

He continued, “We had not planned on taking our No. 08 Ford Mustang to the track this weekend in an effort to better prepare ourselves for next year, but when an opportunity arose that offered Casey a chance to get more seat time, I knew it was the right thing to do.”

Casey Roderick

For 19-year old Roderick, he had planned to vegetate in Mooresville, North Carolina this weekend to embrace the closing event of the 2011 season. But, when his telephone chimed with a message from Hill the rising star could barely contain himself.

“It’s very humbling and exciting all at the same time,” Roderick, a winner in the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards stated. “I wasn’t planning on racing anything in NASCAR the rest of the year. Then Randy sent me the text message about how would I feel about racing Homestead, I immediately felt like a kid in a candy store.

Obviously, it’s the last race of the season and there is so much on the line for many of my fellow competitors, that we’ve kept our goals reasonable and easily obtainable on Saturday afternoon. First, we have to qualify, which I think we should be able to ace without hesitation – then it comes to racing all 300 miles in the Ford 300 and give our No. 04 Randy Hill Racing Ford Mustang a good run. I’m looking forward to working with Paul (Andrews) and learning from someone of his caliber. When the weekend is all said and done, we’ll debrief and focus on 2012,” concluded the Lawrenceville, Georgia native.

Hill added, “We’re carefully strategizing our schedule for 2012. We’re talking to some potential sponsors who have become increasingly interested in our program over the last couple of weeks. Not to mention the credentials that Casey (Roderick) has achieved makes me believe it’s going to be a busy, but successful 2012 NASCAR Nationwide Series campaign. However, before we can get started on that, we have to stay focused on Homestead this weekend. I would like to personally thank Archie (St. Hilaire, Go Green Racing owner) for opening the door for us to work together again.”

The Ford 300 (200 laps / 300 miles) is the 34th of 34 events on the 2011 NASCAR Nationwide Series schedule. The first practice session of the weekend begins on Friday, November 18th, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:20 a.m. A final “happy hour” practice session has been etched in from 12:30 p.m. to 1:50 p.m. Qualifying is set for race day, Saturday, November 19th scheduled to lift off at 1:05 pm live on SPEED. The field will take the green flag later that afternoon at 4:30 p.m. with live coverage on ESPN2, the Motor Racing Network (Radio) and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio (Satellite, Channel 90). Pre-race coverage of the anticipated thriller lifts off at 4:00 p.m. also on ESPN2.

SS Green Light Racing Thumbnail

It’s a safe bet the SS Green Light Racing team will be grilling out on Saturday evening at the Kentucky Speedway prior to the start of the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Kentucky 225. There will be a little extra aroma coming from the grill this week as Allegro Marinade returns to the No. 81 Toyota Tundra.

Since humble beginnings in a Paris, Tennessee restaurant, Allegro has been bottling and selling their marinade and sauces since the 1970s and are now nationally know for their delicious recipes. Starr hopes the added flavor of Allegro Marinade will give the SS Green Light team a race day advantage at the Kentucky Speedway.

After finishing fifth at Michigan on August 20th, bad luck has followed the SS Green Light team resulting in four straight finishes outside of the top-ten. Starr and the team look forward to Kentucky to turn those fortunes around and have a strong finish to the 2011 season.

“We had some unfortunate bad luck last week, our truck was really good. It’s just unfortunate the way it played out with all the circumstances,” Starr said. “In order for us to get back to the top ten in points we need to get some great finishes the next couple weeks.”

Starr has an impressive record at Kentucky Speedway. In ten previous NCWTS races at the mile and a half speedway, he has finished in the top-fifteen in every single race including an eighth place run in the UNOH 225 back in July. David’s average start is only 17.1 but his average finish is an impressive 9.2. He has seven top-tens and two top-fives finishes completing 1505 of the 1506 laps run over the ten races.

“I’m really looking forward to going back to Kentucky and it’s pretty exciting to have Allegro back on our Toyota,” David explained. “We had a great race the last time they were with us at Nashville, I think we finished eighth. John Fuqua the President of Allegro is a great guy and he had a bunch of his employees at the race and we just had a great time together and a great run.”

David Starr - Photo Credit: John Harrelson / Getty Images for NASCAR

“John’s a first class guy and he just loves NASCAR and he loves to see the Allegro colors on our truck. I can’t think of a better way to thank him for partnering up with SS Green Light Racing than to give him a great finish.”

“Allegro is a great product, my wife cooks with it all the time when she makes us steaks. She marinates our meat in Allegro and to have them on our truck for the second race this year is a great honor.”

“The truck looks beautiful, having Allegro all over the truck looks really great on the racetrack. We are really enthused about this weekend and we are looking forward to a great finish that the team needs and getting Allegro some exposure which they deserve.”

Zachry will provide associate sponsorship this week on the No. 81 Toyota.

The Kentucky 225 is the 265th consecutive NCWTS start for the SS Green Light Racing team and the 285th career start for Starr in the Truck Series. David has four victories, 47 top-fives and 114 top-tens through his 14-year career including two top-fives and seven top-tens so far in 2011.

There are only 31 trucks on the preliminary entry list for the Kentucky 225.

Practice for the Kentucky 225 will be Friday, September 30th from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Qualifying will be Saturday, October 1st at 4:15 p.m. and the green flag will fall on the Kentucky 225 at 8:00 pm. It will be shown live on SPEED TV. It will also be broadcast live via radio worldwide on the Motor Racing Network (MRN) and also Sirius XM NASCAR Radio. All times Eastern.

Allegro Fine Foods, Inc. based in Paris, TN manufactures a true marinade in that it not only adds flavor but also tenderizes any cut of meat or vegetable. Allegro also bottles marinades and sauces for numerous private label customers. The company is proud of its history and of its growth, flexibility, and dedication to quality.
No. 32 AccuDoc Solutions Silverado Team News and Notes

Previously At Kentucky… Blake Feese has one prior NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) start at Kentucky Speedway coming in July of 2005. He started 30th and drove his way to a 15th-place finish by the end of the 150-lap event.

This Week’s Silverado… The No. 32 AccuDoc Solutions Chevrolet Silverado team will unload chassis TMS-020 for Saturday evening’s 250-mile event. This chassis last saw action at Chicagoland Speedway, where Steve Arpin started from the pole position and brought home a 16th-place finish. TMS-020 also has a pair of starts earlier this season at Texas Motor Speedway where Arpin started fourth, led six laps and finished 23rd, as well as Kentucky Speedway where he started 13st and finished in the 12th position.

AccuDoc Solutions… AccuDoc Solutions will serve as primary sponsor of the No. 32 Chevy Silverado this Saturday evening at Kentucky Speedway. AccuDoc Solutions is based in Morrisville, N.C. and provides billing- statement printing and processing to hospitals and hospital-based physicians. The Turner Motorsports marketing partner also adorns the hood of Jason Leffler’s No. 30 machine in several NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) events in 2011.

AccuDoc in Dover and Kentucky… AccuDoc Solutions will be spread across the states this Saturday. Jason Leffler will pilot the No. 30 AccuDoc Solutions Impala in Saturday afternoon’s NNS event at Dover International Speedway. Meanwhile, five states, and 628 miles away, Feese will pilot the AccuDoc Solutions Silverado in the Kentucky 225 Saturday evening. Interesting to note, the 628-mile drive would leave ample time for the license plate game.

In 2003, he made the switch to stock cars, competing in the ARCA Racing Series (ARS). In 2004, he partnered with Hendrick Motorsports, winning his first ARS event at Nashville Superspeedway. He went on to earn two wins, two top-five and four top-10 finishes that year. The next year he competed in six NNS races and also made his NCWTS debut at Kentucky Speedway. Following a year running the sprint car circuit, he returned to the ARS in 2007, running a limited schedule and earning one top-five and four top-10 finishes in four starts. In 2009, he made his second NCWTS start at Nashville Superspeedway finishing in the 12th position. Just a few weeks ago he brought home a career-best finish of fourth at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

Live On The Airwaves & Radiowaves… Live coverage of the Kentucky 225 from Kentucky Speedway will begin Saturday, Oct. 1st at 7:30 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time.
Blake Feese on Kentucky Speedway:

“I’m looking forward to Kentucky this weekend. The team has already been there this year, so we will look at those notes and have some idea of what to expect. It also helps to be in the truck for for back-to-back weeks to be consistent and be competitive.”

Adding to the momentum the team is building is Friday night’s race will be David Starr’s 200th consecutive start in the NCWTS stretching back to July 19th, 2003 at the Gateway International Raceway.

David will have a hometown sponsor for this week’s race on the concrete mile and a third speedway, as Allegro Marinades will again join the SS Green Light team for the Lucas Deep Clean 200.

Zachry will also provide associate sponsorship on the No. 81 this weekend.

“We had a very good Toyota at Nashville back in April so I’m excited to get back there again,” Starr said. “It’s so cool to have Allegro on our truck this week; we get to combine three things I really love with country music, truck racing and grilling with Allegro Marinades.”

“I’m looking forward to meeting all the Allegro employees again and I really hope that we put on a good show for them.”

“My Crew Chief Jason Miller and all the SS Green Light guys have given me great handling trucks the last few races and I think we can run up front this week,” continued Starr. “We made a nice move in the points the last two weeks and we need to keep that momentum going.”

“We’ve identified that fans of NASCAR, country music and those who enjoy grilling out are our best customers,” said John Fuqua, president of Allegro Marinade. “Nashville Speedway is only about two hours away from our facility and we’ll have about half of our employees coming to the race along with customers and business partners. It’s a great place to market our products and reward our employees with a great day at the racetrack.”

David has completed 1651 of 1656 laps in the eleven previous NCWTS races at the Nashville Superspeedway, a 99.7% completion percentage with a best finish of second in 2004. He has three top-fives and five top-tens including an eighth place finish earlier this year with an average starting position of 13.4 and an average finish of 11.2.

The Lucas Deep Clean 200 is the 257th consecutive NCWTS start for the SS Green Light Racing team and the 277th career start and 200th consecutive start for Starr in the Truck Series. David has accumulated four wins, 45 top-fives and 111 top-tens in his 14-year career.

There are only 33 trucks on the preliminary entry list for the Lucas Deep Clean 200.

Practice for the Lucas Deep Clean 200 will be Friday July 22nd from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. with qualifying at 4:10 p.m. The green flag will fall on the Lucas Deep Clean 200 at 7:00 pm. It will be shown live on SPEED TV. It will also be broadcast live via radio worldwide on the Motor Racing Network (MRN) and on SIRIUS Satellite Radio NASCAR Channel 128-XM104. All times Central.

Motor Speedway, Bryan Silas will return to the series for a second straight race looking to strengthen his presence on the track in Saturday’s O’Reilly Auto Parts 250 at Kansas Speedway.

The Stuart, Florida native will return to the seat of the No. 99 CollegeComplete.com Ford F-150 for Chase Mattioli Racing aiming for his 15th career start and second at the 1.5-mile oval.

Now, armed in the hands of friend and crew chief Cal Boprey, Silas has a firm agenda heading into the eighth race of the season and it involves taking his blue oval to the front.

For most of his racing career, Silas, 23 has been a member of the Ford Racing family and while the manufacturer has had great success in NASCAR’s third-tier series, its familiar icon has been missing at the front of the pack thus far in 2011. However, Silas and his crew are hoping to change that when the green flag drops this weekend.

“Ford has been very good to me and my racing career,” said Silas, who in addition to running in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series is also competing in the ARCA Racing Series and USARacing Pro Cup Series.

“I think we proved a lot at Charlotte. We were able to come from the back and find ourselves racing competitively in the top-20 when the checkered flag flew. The run gave the team some much needed momentum heading to Kansas Speedway this weekend. Not only are we looking forward to having a good run for CollegeComplete.com, but it also would be amazing to put our Ford F-150 in the lead pack and mount a solid finish for them too.”

The O’Reilly Auto Parts 250 is set for Saturday, June 4 and will air live on SPEED beginning at 2:00 p.m. Eastern. The race will also be broadcasted through the Motor Racing Network (MRN) and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio (satellite channel 90).

Matt Carter

STATESVILLE, North Carolina (May 12, 2011) – - NASCAR Nationwide Series driver and 2008 ARCA Racing Series Rookie of the Year Matt Carter is getting experience and seat time in the 2011 NASCAR Nationwide Series car while awaiting sponsorship contracts of his own to pan out. During the last two years, Carter has run 18 races in the Nationwide Series and this year so far has been helping out Fleur-De-Lis Motorsports.

“I don’t particularly like doing start and park deals,” said Carter. “I don’t think anyone who’s competitive enjoys it, but I do it so I can get a little bit of additional income coming in and to be at the race track week in and week out. Plus the main thing is to be in a race car, get some laps and learn as much as I can about the tracks and about this new car.“

Just getting “seat time” in the car and experience around the tracks is far from Carter’s short-term expanding goals. Carter is progressing on some leads which are hopeful to develop into sponsorship fulfillments within the current 2011 season or commence beginning next year at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway. A full-time ride within the NASCAR Series will suit both Carter and those that are partnering with him in his motorsports program agendas.

“I’m thankful to be able to be at the tracks and the opportunity that Fleur-De-Lis Motorsports is giving me to get me there,” sounded Carter. “However, I’m hoping by being out at the tracks and being seen again around the garage that it’ll possibly open doors to give me a better opportunity to race. At least a better one than if I wasn’t there at all.”

Carter has just launched an official website in a new effort to rebrand himself. With Carter’s proven track ability, and on-board support from named 2011 top-10 All-Time NASCAR crew chief and father, Travis Carter, it’s sure to be a winning combination for any corporation coming up along side this father – son duo.

Carter’s next venue will be the 5-Hour Energy 200 at Dover (Del.) International Speedway on Saturday, May 14, 2011. The event will be covered live on ESPN, MRN and SirusXM NASCAR Radio (Channel 90) beginning at 2:00 p.m. All times are local.

Winners take home a Sam Bass hand painted Gibson guitar rather than the traditional trophy; it’s a Nashville tradition that has gone on for many years dating back to races at the old Nashville Fairgrounds. Being a big fan of Country music, SS Green Light Racing’s David Starr hopes to be the next driver to bring home the coveted guitar when the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series visits the concrete track on Friday night for the Lucas Deep Clean 200.

It’s been three weeks since Starr and the SS Green Light Racing team hit the track together, but both driver and team have kept busy over the break in the schedule. David participated in his first ever Sprint Cup race at Texas two weeks ago and the SS Green Light team won one of the largest Late Model races in recent history when Chris Eggleston took the checkers at the Pro All Star Series $75,000 to win “The Race” at North Wilkesboro. The exciting news has everyone in the SS Green Light shop eager to return to action in the NCWTS.

When Starr and the Zachry Toyota take the green flag it will mark the 250th consecutive start in the NCWTS for co-owner and General Manager Bobby Dotter with the SS Green Light team. The streak began back in 2001 at Daytona and will continue on the concrete mile and a third speedway on Friday night.

David Starr – Photo Credit: Sam Greenwood / Getty Images for NASCAR

“It’s a great track, Nashville has to rank right up there with one of my favorite tracks on the Truck Series,” said an excited Starr. “Being from Texas and being a huge country music fan it’s always fun to go to the city of Nashville because of all the country stars that are there and come out to the track. The Nashville Superspeedway really lays out the red carpet for the drivers in the Truck Series.”

“Man, that concrete track is awesome, it’s fun to race at. The facility is first class, I love everything about racing at Nashville,” Starr continued. “It’s just a great, great, great speedway and the races are always good.

“We are ready to go back after it; both the SS Green Light Racing team and our Zachry Toyota Tundra. After so much bad luck the first four races we are really looking to get that monkey off our back and get our season turned around. Our Tundra’s have been fast and handled well, we’ve just had some bad luck and we are ready to finally get this season kicked off with some good luck, we are looking forward to Friday night.”

“Jason (Miller) and the guys in the shop are excited, I’m excited and hopefully we can be right there at the end contending for that guitar.”

Allegro Marinades will join ASI Limited as an associate sponsor on Starr’s Zachry Tundra at Nashville Superspeedway. “Allegro products are just delicious and they are manufactured right down the road in Paris, TN so it’s pretty cool to have them onboard for the Nashville race,” added David.

In ten career NCWTS starts at the Nashville Superspeedway, David has three top-fives and four top-tens highlighted by a second place run in 2004. His average start is 13.4 and average finish is 10.5, completing an impressive 99.7% of the laps.

The Lucas Deep Clean 200 is the 250th consecutive NCWTS start for the SS Green Light Racing team and the 270th career start for Starr in the series.

There are 39 trucks on the preliminary entry list for the Lucas Deep Clean 200.

Practice for the NCWTS Lucas Deep Clean 200 will be Friday, April 22nd from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Qualifying will be at 4:10 p.m. and the Lucas Oil 200 will be shown live on SPEED TV at 7:00 p.m. All times Central. It will also be broadcast live via radio worldwide on the Motor Racing Network (MRN) and on SIRIUS Satellite Radio NASCAR Channel 128-XM104.

That’s how long WTDR Thunder 92.7 FM in Talladega, Ala. has been broadcasting live coverage of the ARCA Racing Series 250 at Talladega Superspeedway – right in its own backyard. With the introduction of live streaming audio, race fans at the track and around the world have become the beneficiaries.

“WTDR Thunder 92.7 has been a great partner with Talladega Superspeedway over the years,” said Talladega Superspeedway chairman Grant Lynch. “I’m glad that they’ll be broadcasting the ARCA race again, as it always is an exciting and breathtaking event. Jim (Jacobs) and his crew truly have a passion for all things racing and we’re fortunate to have them so close to Talladega Superspeedway.”

Jim Jacobs, president of Jacobs Broadcast Group, which owns the station, has been there every step of the way.

“The ARCA broadcast has really been a progression of a lot of hard work and dedication of some very talented people over the years,” said Jacobs.

“Let’s see, the first ARCA race we did there was in 1993. Tim Steele beat Jeff Purvis, and as I recall, it was a very good race. Jim Freeman, who was the PR guy at the track at that time was a little concerned about us doing the whole race, so they let us do the start, give some updates along the way, and the finish.

“I’ll never forget it. I stood on top of a hauler in turn one and Larry Nuber stood on a hauler in turn four – that was it. We had two rented wireless systems that barely worked. Fortunately, it wound up being a very good race and, of course, Larry was so good he could make anyone sound like a pro.

“But then we got so much positive feedback, the next year they let us do the whole thing from the old press box in the middle of the tri-oval. Larry Nuber and Mark Garrow anchored it for us.”

From there, the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards race event at Talladega grew into an annual staple for the station that took on new character and popularity in the coming years.

“We eventually started adding people in the turns. One year, I was down in turn four; I think Chuck Carlin was doing turn two – the only time he ever worked for us. We were using rented equipment and it literally took us all week just to set it up. Well, I realized if we were going to be successful at this, we had to go out and buy our own stuff. I asked MRN (Motor Racing Network) what they used; they shared the information and we went out and bought the same stuff. By that time, we had moved up into the press box above the grandstand.”

And by now, Jacobs has turned the broadcast into a high quality piece of programming, complete with pit road announcers and turn announcers, anchored by Jacobs in the tower. Joining Jacobs in the booth for this year’s broadcast will be veteran announcer Grady Sapp and, potentially, some special guests. Veterans Mike Ledbetter and David McDaniel are slated as turn announcers with Mike Burson and newcomer James Burton on pit road.

While the broadcast may appear seamless, it is anything but.

“For only doing it once a year, we think we do it pretty well. Our guys are good. We’ve had a core group of people, which helps to have a seamless broadcast. That’s not to say that it’s not extremely difficult to pull off, mostly because we only do it once a year. And I think it’s especially difficult to do at Talladega because the place is so big, so it’s technically hard to put it on. ARCA has so many new players each year with all the development drivers and such that our guys literally have to learn these drivers overnight, and I think they do a really good job of it, all things considered.

“We’re actually going to put our turn people out during Sprint Cup final practice, which is right before the ARCA race – so we’re warmed up. (We’ll) make sure the technical glitches are out of the way, so when we come on for the ARCA race, we’ll have basically been on the air for an hour.

“But we really enjoy doing it. It lets us step out of our day-to-day element. It really gives me a great appreciation for what the MRN guys do every week, because it’s not easy.”

Jacobs also recalls with fond memories his time in the tower for the ARCA events.

“Honestly, there have been so many great ARCA races at Talladega over the years. I thought last year’s race was one of the best races I’ve ever seen at Talladega. I think the length of the ARCA race lends itself to exiting racing. They’re relatively short races, for Talladega, so you just can’t go out there and ride. When they split (Grant) Enfinger on the last lap last year three-wide for the lead, it was just incredible.

“Tim Steele’s run of winning four (three consecutive) was very special, as I look back. It’s hard to win two in a row at Talladega, let alone three. And of course, we’ve seen some pretty spectacular crashes, but for some reason, those don’t stand out in my mind. What mostly stands out is the great racing we’ve seen, and a lot of it has come from the ARCA regulars.

“The year that Frank Kimmel won it was interesting because it literally ended in the dark.

“The series has definitely had its share of interesting characters over the years. Juan Montoya’s first stock car race was here was in the ARCA Racing Series.

“Looking at some of the veterans, I was always a little surprised Mark Thompson has never been able to win here. He always has good equipment and he’s a good restrictor plate racer but he’s never been able to pull it off.

“Bobby Gerhart’s another one. He’s only won it here once but he’s so dominant at Daytona, but it’s almost like he’s snake-bit here.

“It’s really been interesting how the development drivers have come into this series. It’s amazing how these kids come here, jump in top-notch equipment and do so well.

“I still love it though when the ARCA regulars do so well – the guys that travel the series.”

In addition to doing live shows for Menards Pole Qualifying presented by Ansell Thursday, April 14 beginning at 5 p.m. Central, Jacobs and his team of broadcasters will cover the ARCA Racing Series 250 with live flag-to-flag coverage Friday afternoon, with the green flag scheduled just after 4 Central.

“We’re also going to have people in the garage doing updates starting Thursday morning,” said Jacobs.

In addition to all the live broadcasts at WTDR Thunder 92.7, ARCA qualifying and the race will be available in live streaming audio at www.wtdrthunder.com, as well as ARCAracing.com.

The ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards has crowned an ARCA national champion each year since its inaugural season in 1953, and has toured over 200 race tracks in 28 states since its inception. The series tests the abilities of drivers and race teams over the most diverse schedule of stock car racing events in the world, annually visiting tracks ranging from 0.4 mile to 2.66 miles in length, on both paved and dirt surfaces as well as a left- and right-turn road course.

Founded by John Marcum in 1953 in Toledo, Ohio, the Automobile Racing Club of America (ARCA) is recognized among the leading sanctioning bodies in the country. Closing in on completing its sixth decade after hundreds of thousands of miles of racing, ARCA administers over 100 race events each season in two professional touring series and local weekly events.

“Teams Up with New Co-Primary Sponsor; Thoughts on Daytona and Beyond”

ThorSport Racing

Sandusky, OH – February 15, 2011 – Johnny Sauter returns to ThorSport Racing in 2010 for his third season as driver of the No. 13 SafeAuto / Curb Records Chevrolet. Sauter’s performance in 2010 gave him a “go hard or go home” reputation in the Series – due to one win (Kansas), 13 top-five finishes and 2 top-ten finishes en route to third in the final championship standings. In 2011, his goal is simple – WIN, and win consistently.

A championship contender in 2011, along with teammate and fellow contender Matt Crafton – Sauter and his newly-sponsored No. 13 SafeAuto / Curb Records Chevrolet can reach Victory Lane as often as they are capable of this year. A new pit crew, new ECR engines for more horsepower, and a new scarlet and gray paintout (thanks to SafeAuto’s Columbus, Ohio roots with Ohio State Buckeye fever) will help the cause.

Quotes

Johnny Sauter

ON DAYTONA:

“It’s the beginning of the season, which is a new start for the 13 here at Daytona. That’s a definite positive. Everyone at ThorSport Racing takes this track very seriously. We’ve watched the repave process pretty closely and how the tests have gone during the offseason. It’s time to really play it to the finish and stay clean for 100 laps. Joe and I have a strategy here that will keep us conservative but competitive all the same. This track is fast – as my sponsor, Safe Auto, says – BAD FAST – and that’s my kind of track. I’m focused this year on winning races as much as possible. We have done all the preparations in the shop to make that come true.”

ON THE BEGINNINGS OF 2011:

“Daytona is a privilege to race every year, and it is definitely the ‘big one’ that has the highest excitement level associated with it. To win would be a dream come true. But mentally, I’m already preparing for the whole schedule…in my head, I’m already in Phoenix. That’s just Daytona for me – I want to finish strong and start my year right, and then let’s plug through to Phoenix and Darlington. My comfort zone is in the intermediate and short tracks, so it’s in the crosshairs while I’m at Daytona and gives me a goal. The 13 is going to win races this year. I’ve said it before to my team. I’m going to do my best to make that happen.”

ON A NEW CO-PRIMARY SPONSOR:

“Safe Auto is awesome. It’s rare to get a sponsor who really values you for your uniqueness and individuality, and that’s exactly what they said when they met me. I’m really excited to add them to the 13 team. I’m also really grateful to continue the longstanding relationship I have with Curb Records, who has supported me from the beginning. This is going to be our year at ThorSport Racing – new team, additional sponsors, new horsepower. Look for us to have that mix of consistency and firepower at the race finishes.”

MORE ‘GIFTS’ IN 2011:

“My wife Cortney will give birth to our second child the day after Martinsville (through a scheduled C-section), so life has more perspective this year. It takes a little pressure off, knowing that I won’t need a driver for that famed ‘baby watch’ that Cup has. I’ll have a daughter now, and that’s scary and amazing at the same time. It definitely makes the beginning of the season a little more hectic, but I know I’ve got the best support staff I could ever ask for in my wife and son. We are so truly blessed.”

STATS

Johnny Sauter at Daytona: Johnny has raced at Daytona in all three of NASCAR’s top divisions, the Sprint Cup Series, the Nationwide Series, and the Camping World Truck Series. In the NCWTS he has two starts, both with ThorSport Racing. The first coming in 2009, in which he finished 27th after starting ninth. He was eliminated in an early accident after completing 47 of the race’s 100 laps. He was at the front of the field for three laps before the accident. The second start came in 2010, where he qualified 10th. He was eliminated in an additional accident on lap one.

Sauter’s Daytona Truck: Johnny will pilot ThorSport Racing Chassis No. 25. It’s the truck Sauter used in competition at Daytona and Talladega in 2010. Sauter was caught up in an early crash at Daytona, resulting in a 35th-place finish. At Talladega, Sauter qualified eighth and finished third.

Race: The 2011 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series kicks off with the NextEra Energy Resources 250 at Daytona International Speedway on Friday February 18th. The first practice is a 3 hour + 20 minute session scheduled for 4:40 P.M. on Wednesday February 16th, with the final 50-minute session slated for Thursday February 17th at 12:10PM.

The 36-truck starting field will be determined in two-lap qualifying runs at 6:05 P.M. on Thursday evening. The tweltfh annual NextEra Energy Resources 250 will go green shortly after 8 P.M. on Friday night; it can be seen live on SPEED and heard live on select affiliates of the Motor Racing Network and on Sirius NASCAR Radio Channel 128.

From humble beginnings nine years ago to becoming a true powerhouse in the NASCAR’s Camping World Truck Series in 2010 with two drivers finishing in the top-ten in the final drivers standings. The team boasts one of the most experienced leaders in all of NASCAR in Bobby Dotter along with a talented crew of dedicated professionals.

SS Green Light Racing team has grown into one of the most respected teams in the NCWTS garage by hiring talented crewmembers, investing in technology, building top-five caliber equipment along with a premier engine program. The team has steadily become more competitive each season proven by its two front row-starting positions, three top-five and ten top-ten finishes in 2010. Both Jason White and David Starr finished the season in the top-ten in the NCWTS drivers point standings.

In addition, SS Green Light Racing also has a long-standing reputation of developing talented young drivers and allowing them to show their ability with a professional racing organization. Veteran Butch Miller leads our development program, in addition to being a three-time ASA National Champion, Miller has nearly three hundred NASCAR starts with two Nationwide and one NCWTS victory to his credit and has years of experience mentoring young drivers.

Since partnering with Dotter prior to the 2008 NCWTS season, Ken Smith has focused on improving the overall quality of the organization. “Bobby and I have worked very hard to develop this team into what it is today. We’ve established SS Green Light Racing solidly in the top-ten in the point standings and have received excellent media exposure for our drivers and sponsors. We have been committed to our talented team members and we upgrading our equipment continually to make our trucks more competitive each and every race.” He continued, “We have some primary and associate sponsorship in place already for 2011, so we have flexibility that other teams may not have going into next season.”

Co-owners Smith and Dotter are currently recruiting partially funded or sponsored drivers wishing to compete in top-tier equipment for the 2011 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season. Single race or multiple race packages are available.

No. 81 Zachry Toyota Tundra (David Starr) - Photo Credit: Getty Images for NASCAR

As the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series concludes it’s sixteenth season David Starr and the SS Green Light team will head to the Miami-Homestead Speedway for the season ending Ford 200. It has been an arduous season for the veteran truck series driver, starting the year with Randy Moss Motorsports before the team shut down in mid-season leaving the veteran driver without a ride.

David joined the SS Green Light team just days before the Chicago race on August 27th keeping his seven plus year NCWTS starting streak alive. He has made the most of his new opportunity with the SS Green Light team finishing in the top-fifteen in each of the eight races they have run together including three top-ten finishes. With David behind the wheel, the team has grown stronger and has very competitive trucks the last four races.

Despite the midseason change, Starr sits a solid ninth in the NCWTS driver standings heading into Friday nights season finale. He is seventy-four points behind Mike Skinner and one hundred sixty ahead of SS Green Light teammate Jason White in the standings.

Starr’s No. 81 Toyota will display the colors of longtime supporter Zachry at Homestead where he has an impressive record in eight career NCWTS races including two top-five and six top-ten finishes highlighted by back-to-back third place finishes in 2003 & 2004. David’s average start is 19.9 and his average finish is a very impressive 8.4. Perhaps even more remarkable is that David has completed all but two of the 1081 laps over the eight races.

David Starr – Photo Credit: Sam Greenwood / Getty Images for NASCAR

“I can’t wait to get to Homestead,” Starr said. “It’s been a long, trying year but I’m happy with where things are at. I really enjoy working with Bobby Dotter, Jason Miller and every one at SS Green Light Racing. They helped me out when I needed a ride and overall I’m pleased with the progress we’ve made over the last few weeks. Hopefully we can build that into a great finish this weekend.”

“I’m proud to have Zachry on our Toyota for the final race of the season,” Starr continued. “We have a great relationship and they have some large projects in Florida, we’ll do our best to put the Zachry Tundra up front.”

SS Green Light Racing Crew Chief Jason Miller is ready for the season finale. “David has a great track record at Homestead, I think we are going to have a strong Toyota for him this week. I’d love to close out the season with a top-five finish.”

The Ford 200 is the 245th consecutive NCWTS start for the SS Green Light Racing team and the 265th career start for Starr in the Truck series.

38 trucks are on the preliminary entry list for the Ford 200.

Practice for the NCWTS Ford 200 will be Thursday, November 18th at 5:00 p.m. with final practice 6:30 p.m. Qualifying will be at 5:00 p.m. on Friday November 19th followed by the green flag at 8:00 p.m. The race will be shown live on SPEED TV and will also be broadcast live via radio worldwide on the Motor Racing Network (MRN) and on SIRIUS Satellite Radio NASCAR Channel 128-XM104.

With only one race left in the season, White and the SS Green Light Racing team have come close to achieving those goals.

White earned his first career pole at the season opener at Daytona and nearly repeated at Talladega. Jason has three top-five finishes and seven top-ten finishes this season, both career bests. He is currently tenth in the standings, improving six spots over his best finish in 2009. His average start of 14.6 and finish of 15.1 are both career bests. The season has been held back only by four engine failures, which have cost White and the team several positions in the standings.

Jason is also the first driver to race all four manufacturers throughout the 2010 season as the team searched for answers and tried to find a competitive advantage at each of the twenty tracks the series visited.

The points battle for the tenth in the NCWTS point standings tightened up after last weeks disappointing engine failure last week at Phoenix; Jason is now only twenty-three points ahead of James Buescher and fifty-five points ahead of Ricky Carmichael for the coveted tenth place in the standings. “We were in a pretty good position point wise going into Phoenix. A solid finish there would have put us in good shape, but now things have tightened up quite a bit. Just like they did for Denny (Hamlin) in the Cup Series.”

Jason White

“We’re going to run a Ford this week at Homestead. We bought this truck from Roush-Fenway earlier in the year and we’ve run it twice; finishing seventh at Michigan and fourth at Kentucky so we think it give us our best shot on mile and a half at Miami. We should be good, I’m excited to get to the track.”

“Doug (Crew Chief Doug Howe) and the GunBroker guys have worked hard, we’ve tried a lot of different things to help improve the race team,” he added. “It’s been a successful year, but it’s also been disappointing where we have come up just short. I’d really like to get that first victory for GunBroker.com this weekend, we’ve been so close a couple times this year.”

The Ford 200 is White’s 104th NCWTS start and the 245th consecutive NCWTS start for the SS Green Light Racing team.

There are 38 trucks on the preliminary entry list for the Ford 200.

This will be the fourth NCWTS start of 2010 for the twenty-two year old driver having competed at Bristol and New Hampshire earlier in the season before finishing nineteenth in the SS Green Light No. 07 at Martinsville. Homestead will give the youngster his first opportunity to run on a track longer than a mile in length. John has completed 98% of the laps in his first three starts.

Three-time ASA National Champion Butch Miller will again oversee King’s effort in the Fairway Ford No. 07 F-150 at Homestead. “John did a real nice job back at Martinsville,” Miller said. “I think he is a quick learner and most importantly he listens. Homestead will be the largest track he has raced at, but I’m confident he’ll adapt well.”

“We had a great run together at Martinsville,” John said. “I fell I worked really well with Butch and everyone on the team, I’m looking forward to this race even more than Martinsville. I’m excited to get to run on the mile and a half at Homestead, I’ve run a late model at Rockingham and the truck at Loudon, but this will be the biggest track I’ve been to.”

I know the truck’s going to be well prepared,” King added. “We’ve also got a good Ernie Elliott Ford engine under the hood and we’ll have the veteran guidance of Bobby Dotter and the SS Green Light team supporting me in the pits. Practice will be very important for us so I can run laps and get a good feel not only for the truck at high speeds, but also just to get a good feel for running on a track the size of Homestead.

In addition to Fairway Ford of Kingsport, King will have support from Express Signs, The Davis Love Foundation and Ernie Elliott Race Engines on the SS Green Light No. 07 at the season finale.
