TRACK – Dover International Raceway (1-mile concrete oval)

DATE – Saturday, May 14, 2011

TV / RADIO – ESPN (coverage begins at 2 p.m. EST) / MRN (broadcast begins at 2 p.m. EST)

Aric Almirola

No. 88 Degree Men Chevrolet

“Dover is my favorite track. I’ve never experienced another track like it since I started racing. It’s so incredibly unique. Going off into turn one is an amazing feeling. You drop something like 75 feet down into the turn. It feels like the track just drops away from you as you enter the corner there. The effects of the G-forces on your body are a lot like riding a rollercoaster. But at Dover the rollercoaster lasts for 200 miles.

“Last week was a letdown for our No. 88 Degree Men team. But those are the kind of races we put behind us, and just look ahead to this week’s race. There’s no better place to earn a solid finish than at Dover. We’re really optimistic heading there this week.”

Josh Wise

No. 7 “We Salute You” JR Motorsports Chevrolet

“This is an exciting week for our No. 7 team. I’m honored to be racing for such a great cause with JR Motorsports and the “We Salute You” Chevrolet. It’s nice to be given such a unique way to thank all the branches of the U.S. Armed Forces, and show them how much we appreciate everything they do for our country. Working hand-in-hand with The Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation on this project is also a blessing.

“Sometimes certain tracks just fit your driving style. Dover is like that for me. It’s a driver’s racetrack, with some room to move around and you can really attack it. Once it gets rubbered up during the race, the track gets really slick and getting into the corner gets a little tricky. So you struggle for grip there. It’s also important to get a good straight shot off the corner on exit in order to carry good straightaway speed down into the next corner.”

JR MOTORSPORTS NOTEBOOK –

JRM SALUTES THE TROOPS IN DOVER – JR Motorsports, along with the NASCAR community, will salute the courageous men and women of the United States Armed Forces with a tribute paint scheme of pride, patriotism and gratitude on the No. 7 Chevrolet this weekend at Dover International Speedway. The “We Salute You” Chevrolet speaks for all Americans with a patriotic design that pays tribute to the strength and resolve of the greatest military on earth. To read the complete press release and to see an image of the car click here.

EXCLUSIVE DOVER PREVIEW VIDEO – Find out what Tony Eury Jr. hopes to see when he crosses the pedestrian bridge into the Dover infield in this week’s exclusive Dover preview video on www.jrmracing.com. You’ll also go behind the wheel at “The Monster Mile” with Aric Almirola in the iRacing simulator.

WELCOME DEGREE MEN – Degree Men joins the No. 88 team as primary sponsor this weekend at Dover for the first time since 2009. JRM has put on a qualifying clinic with the Degree sponsorship on its race cars. In 2009 the team earned all three of its poles (Gateway, Bristol and Atlanta) with the Degree colors on board. It joins Hellmann’s, Ragu and Suave Men as Unilever brands to have primary paint schemes with JRM this season. The No. 88 Chevrolet will also carry the Degree brand at Nashville Superspeedway (July 23), Bristol Motor Speedway (Aug. 26) and Kansas Speedway (Oct. 8).

TAMING THE MONSTER – Dover International Speedway has been a strong track for JR Motorsports in its 15 races there since 2006. The organization has notched one win (spring 2009), four top-fives and six top-10s.

WISE GAINING MOMENTUM – Wise’s 2011 statistics in five races with the No. 7 include two top-10s and four top-15 finishes. He also led a season-high five laps in the No. 7 Chevrolet in Nashville. Spanning 13 races since 2010, Wise has never finished worse than 16th with JR Motorsports. At Dover, the 28-year-old holds four Nationwide Series starts with a best finish of 13th in 2008. Currently, he sits 11th in the championship standings (-100).

ALMIROLA AT DOVER – Almirola will make his 50th NNS start this weekend. He visited victory lane in his first race at Dover in the Camping World East Series in 2008. Almirola led 27 laps in the No. 8 Chevrolet for Dale Earnhardt, Inc. that day en route to his first NASCAR-sanctioned victory. The Tampa, Fla. native also won the Camping World Truck Series race there in 2010 after leading seven laps. Additionally, Almirola finished 11th in his only Nationwide Series start at the one-mile oval.

NO. 7 SEASON STATS – The No. 7 team holds one top-five, four top-10 and seven top-15 finishes in 2011. Dale Earnhardt Jr., Danica Patrick and Josh Wise have shared driving duties in the No. 7 Chevrolet throughout the year, each scoring at least a top-10 finish. Patrick earned the team’s best finish of the season when she finished fourth at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, becoming the highest finishing female in any NASCAR national touring series race. The team occupies 12th position in owner points.

NO. 88 SEASON STATS – The No. 88 Degree Men squad owns four top-10 and eight top-15 finishes this season. Almirola has led at least one lap in four of the past six races, and is currently ranked sixth (-42) in championship points. The No. 88 team is 13th in owner points.

JRM DRIVER APPEARANCES – Aric Almirola and Josh Wise will attend an autograph signing at the JR Nation merchandise hauler in the fan concourse area on Saturday, May 15, from 10 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. EST.

Joey Logano - Photo Credit: Motorsports Images and Archives

Wiley X® is pulling out the stops for the upcoming nationwide Series Race in Miami Florida on November 20th — look for the signature Wiley X logo splashed all over champion Joey Logano’s number 20 car in this highly competitive battle. Logano, longtime Wiley X sponsored driver, became the youngest winner in the Sprint Cup Series race in NASCAR history, and this former Camping World East Series champion is currently ranked number 9 in the Nationwide Series. So it’s going to be a hot one, even by Miami standards.

Wiley X will be joined on Logano’s car by the striking canine logo of popular video game publisher Mastiff LLC — dovetailing nicely with the two organization’s recent collaboration in the work of incredibly lifelike gaming experiences. Wiley X’s popular tactical eyewear and gloves were selected to appear in the new Reload game by Mastiff that’s already been creating serious buzz this year. Perfect type casting, as the game features unbelievably realistic weapons and tactics simulations transporting the player into a role as their choice of an exhibition shooter, soldier and law enforcement official — and Wiley X has been supplying the world’s most high performance tactical gear to the armed forces and L/E community for decades.

Logano has had an undeniably amazing career, despite the fact that he is only a couple of decades old, himself — and he and his crew, along with other NASCAR greats, have been trusting their eyes to Wiley X’s battlefield-proven glasses for years. In fact, this is hardly Wiley X’s first time on the fast track — its glasses are so rugged and great looking, that they’re worn by racing superstars all over the world. And, Wiley X is the only premium sunglass manufacturer that certifies all of its products to exceed ANSI Z87.1-2003 high velocity and high mass impact standards, so whether it’s for Pit Row or setting your sites on bad guys in virtual shooting scenarios or real ones, they have the right High Velocity Protection™ (HVP™) eyewear tailored for extreme safety and style.

To learn more about Wiley X’s NASCAR sponsorships or the company’s full line of high performance eyewear — visit Wiley X Eyewear at 7800 Patterson Pass Road, Livermore, CA 94550 • Telephone: (800) 776-7842 • Or visit online at www.wileyx.com. For updates on Wiley X pro athletes and events, find us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/wileyxeyewear.

Pocono Raceway, in its effort to become the world’s first, truly “green” sports facility, has a three megawatt solar farm in operation, and was the first raceway to be part of the PepsiCo Dream Machine program. With this program, Dream Machine bins and kiosks were located throughout the Grandstand and Infield to make it easier for race fans to recycle bottles and cans that, otherwise, might have been thrown away.

Pocono Raceway now invites local residents and guests to participate in the PepsiCo Dream Machine program. The Raceway placed a Dream Machine kiosk near the ticket office entrance, which is located on Long Pond Rd, and is available to the general public 24/7.

With each can or bottle recycled in the kiosk, PepsiCo will make a donation to the Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans (EBV) which provides job training and guidance to disabled veterans to help them pursue their dreams of starting their own businesses. In addition, Raceway recyclers can also earn points for each item recycled, redeemable for rewards at Greenopolis.com.

Pocono Raceway plans to continue the PepsiCo Dream Machine program for its two NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race weekends in 2011. The Pocono 500, June 10-12 and the Pennsylvania 500 August 5-7. Fowler will make his debut in the ARCA Racing Series presented by RE/MAX and Menards, driving the No. 6 Toyota fielded by ESR.

“I am extremely excited about the opportunity to run with Eddie Sharp Racing,” Fowler said. “I am graduating high school this weekend, and I am glad to finally be able to put 110 percent of my time into my racing. ”

The 17-year-old Georgia native grew up racing Bandolero and Legends Cars, winning feature events and titles at a young age. In 2006, Fowler competed for five championships in several Legends Car series’ around the Southeast. He won three championships and finished runner-up twice.

The 2007 season brought more success for Fowler, as he moved to the Georgia Asphalt Series Late Models. He finished the season with 14 top-10 finishes in 17 starts. He moved to the ASA Southeast Asphalt, scoring career-best second-place finishes at Lanier National Speedway and Peach State Speedway, where he also picked up a pole award.

Kyle Fowler

Last season, Fowler made his debut in the NASCAR Camping World East Series with Ken Schrader Racing. He also raced in the USARacing Pro Cup Series. “Growing up, my crew had always been my dad and me, with family and friends helping on the weekends,” said Fowler. “I am grateful for that experience and time with my dad. He taught me a lot.”

Fowler is set to run with ESR at Toledo Speedway on May 23 and Iowa Speedway on July 10. He will join Craig Goess, driver of the No. 81 Toyota of Greenville N.C. Toyota, in ESR entries at both races.

“I have been told by some very knowledgeable people that the ARCA Racing Series is where I need to race to help me further my career,” explained Fowler. “I can’t wait to get behind the wheel. I am looking forward to my first start in ARCA and working with everyone at Eddie Sharp Racing.”

Eddie Sharp, owner of Eddie Sharp Racing, anticipates the addition of Fowler to the ESR team. “I am thrilled to be working with Kyle,” said Sharp. “He possesses the type of talent and desire to race that I love to work with. I think it’s going to be a great experience for Kyle and ESR, and I know he will represent ESR well.”

Folwer, who will further his education at University of North Carolina at Charlotte, looks to move forward in his racing career as well. “Now that I have the opportunity to run with ESR, I know I will have the top-notch equipment and personnel, which I know I need to perform. I am looking forward to working with crew chief Kevin Caldwell, as his track record speaks for itself.”

Fowler and ESR will take to the track Sunday, May 23 at 2 p.m. for the Menards 200 at Toledo Speedway. Live scoring and timing will be available on ARCARacing.com.

About Eddie Sharp Racing

PREVIEW: RICKY CARMICHAEL (NO. 4 MONSTER ENERGY CHEVROLET)

VENUE: DAYTONA INTERNATIONAL SPEEDWAY (2.5-MILE TRI-OVAL)

CIRCUIT: NASCAR CAMPING WORLD TRUCK SERIES ( RACE 1 of 25)

EVENT: NEXTERA ENERGY RESOURCES 250 ( 100 LAPS, 250 MILES)

DATE: FEBRUARY 12, 2010

MONSTER MANIA: Monster Energy will sponsor Carmichael and his No. 4 Chevrolet during the 2010 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season. In addition the energy drink sponsor will grace the hood of his No. 4 entry during nine ARCA Racing Series events.

CARMICHAEL ON 4-WHEELS AT DAYTONA: Friday night’s Truck Series season opener race at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway will mark Carmichael’s fourth start at the famed track. The Florida native has one NASCAR Camping World Truck Series start (2009) and two previous ARCA starts (2009 & 2010) to his resume. He scored his career best ARCA finish last week with a 7th place run during the Lucas Oil Slick Mist 200.

CARMICHAEL ON 2-WHEELS AT DAYTONA: It is a proven fact that Carmichael holds one record that no other competitor at Daytona can claim. The former Motocross Champion holds the record for most wins (5) in Supercross at Daytona and is tied for the record for the most consecutive wins (4) with Jeff Stanton. Since retiring from competition in 2007 Carmichael has designed the Supercross track for the Daytona stop on the schedule.

CARMICHAEL ON TRUCKS:Competing in 18 Truck Series events last season Carmichael scored two top-10 finishes during his first season of NASCAR competition at the elite level. This season he will embark on his first full season of competition in the Truck Series.

CALLING THE SHOTS: Florida native Mike Fritts will call the shots atop the pit box for Carmichael during the 2010 season. Fritts served as Carmichael’s crew chief during his first stock car endeavor. After working at Ken Schrader Racing over the past few years Fritts made the move Turner Motorsports over the winter to work with Carmichael.

NAME IN LIGHTS: The inaugural Ricky Carmichael Daytona Amateur Supercross Championship will take place on Sunday, March 7 at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway. On Monday, March 8, Carmichael will then host Ricky Carmichael University, the first public riding school ever hosted by the 15-Time AMA National Champion. For more information visit www.rickycarmichael.com.

BEHIND THE WHEEL: Carmichael will pilot chassis No. 4 on the high banks of Daytona. A brand new chassis that was completed over the winter will make its race debut this Friday night.

MOST POPULAR: Carmichael was voted the 2009 NCWTS Most Popular Driver at the end of the last season. It was his second time to win the award. In 2008 he was awarded the same award for the NASCAR Camping World East Series.

BET YOU DIDN’T KNOW: At his home in Tallahassee (Fla.) Carmichael raises chickens. He has five chickens in his coop and they lay five eggs a day. Carmichael uses the eggs to feed his family and friends.

IN THE BOOTH: Even though Carmichael no longer competes on two wheels he still shows his support from the booth. Earlier this year he provided fans with non-stop Supercross action at Anaheim1 and San Francisco on SPEED and CBS. In the coming weeks he will once again provide fans with his perspective from behind the action during the Monster Energy Supercross Championship at Indianapolis, Atlanta and Daytona.

STAY UP TO SPEED: Flag to flag coverage of The Nextera Energy Resources 250 can be seen LIVE on SPEED at 7:30 p.m. EST on February 12, 2010. Tune into SPEED Wednesday and Thursday for LIVE coverage of practice and qualifying. For information on SPEED TV listings visit www.speedtv.com

Ricky Carmichael

RICKY CARMICHAEL ON THE 2010 SEASON: “I head into this season with a lot more confidence than I did last year. I know I need more seat time, but the more I climb behind a race vehicle the more confidence I have. That is what makes me excited about this season. I am not only running the truck schedule, but also several ARCA races to keep myself in a race car and on the track. During my motocross days I was on a bike everyday if I could. I have my training farm in Georgia and rode all day every day if I was at home. In this series you don’t have the liberty to be on track every day. So, you have to maximize the time you are on the track. I plan on doing that a lot this year.”

The team, led by veteran car owner and former driver Eddie Sharp, has been in the championship hunt the last three years running and embarks on the 2010 season with second-year driver Craig Goess ready, willing and able to capitalize on last year’s successes.

The 28-year-old rookie stood in the shadows for much of 2009 while his ESR teammate, second-year ARCA driver Justin Lofton, engaged in a championship run that included six race wins, five Menards Pole Awards presented by Ansell and the Hoosier Tire Superspeedway Challenge Championship. Lofton joined fellow points challenger Parker Kligerman in taking up the majority of the series’ TV time and post-race media interviews while Goess stood in the background, winless in his rookie season but quietly building up his resume with top-10 finishes and solid experience.

Goess is following the exact same path that Lofton took during his two-year ARCA Racing Series career-spend one year learning and one year winning.

“I just want to win races,” said Goess. “That was my goal last year and we weren’t able to accomplish it. I’ve never been one to give up on my goals and so I think that is the main reason I am back for a second year of ARCA competition. We want to win races and it would be great for everybody if we could win a championship too but race wins is definitely the main priority this year.

Car owner Eddie Sharp has learned that a key aspect to driver development is, well, developing drivers. And often, that can’t be accomplished in just one season of ARCA Racing. So while Goess spent much of 2009 acclimating himself to the ARCA Racing Series-learning how to race full sized stock cars on speedways, short tracks, road courses and even one-mile dirt ovals, 2010 will look much different. Goess is now a second-year veteran and leads the stable of Eddie Sharp Racing competitors-it’s his turn to prove that he can be a bona-fide championship contender.

“Last year at Daytona I was the first car out at the first practice and it was my first ARCA Racing Series race at Daytona,” said Goess. “It was the beginning of the season and there was no holding back. I just put the throttle down not knowing what to expect and I just remember thinking ‘oh, please don’t let me do anything stupid.’ So luckily that worked out. I think I will feel more confident going into Daytona and every track that we race at this year with the exception of Palm Beach and Texas since those tracks are new to the schedule. But at both Palm Beach and Texas I will have that familiar feeling that I had all of last year of not knowing what to expect.”

Goess also heads into the 2010 season reunited with crew chief Johnny Allen, whom he worked closely with while competing for Team ESR in the NASCAR Camping World East Series.

“I thought it was important to be with a crew chief that I was familiar with and who I had chemistry with,” said Goess. “And many of the guys on the team are people I have built a relationship with over the past several years at Eddie Sharp Racing. It just makes it that much easier to come back in 2010 and be successful right away.”

Goess and his Eddie Sharp Racing Team begin the 2010 ARCA Racing Series presented by RE/MAX and Menards with the Lucas Oil Slick Mist 200 at Daytona Int’l Speedway on Saturday, February 6, 2010. The race is live on SPEED beginning at 4 p.m. Eastern.

(Dec. 4, 2009) – Following a season that saw him reach Victory Lane and finish fifth in the final standings, NASCAR Camping World Series East driver Steve Park is headed to the NASCAR Toyota All-Star Showdown, Jan. 29-30, in Toyota Speedway at Irwindale (Calif.).

Park, who returned to the Camping World Series East full-time in 2008 after competing for a decade in NASCAR’s national series, recorded seven top 10s in 11 outings in this past season to register his first top-five points effort. Park raced his way to Victory Lane in 2009 with his triumph at Adirondack International Speedway on Aug. 1 in Lowville, N.Y., which secured him a starting position in the NASCAR Toyota All-Star Showdown.

“It was great to get that win, get those seconds, finish fifth in the points and be competitive week-in and week-out,” Park said. “We really thought coming out of the box last year that we would be closer to where we were this year, and we weren’t, so we stepped up the program a little bit.”

The seventh running of the NASCAR Toyota All-Star Showdown, which brings together the top racers from across North America for the ”Daytona 500 of short-track racing,” will be highlighted by the 225-lap Camping World Series all-star race. Each race winner during the 2009 Camping World Series East and Camping World Series West seasons is eligible for a protected starting spot, as are the 2009 champions from each of NASCAR’s six regional touring series and the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series national champion.

Park joins NASCAR Camping World Series champions Ryan Truex (East) and Jason Bowles (West), as well as two-time Showdown winner Matt Kobyluck, and NASCAR Camping World Series West driver Greg Pursley as early confirmed participants in the all-star race.

Park, originally from East Northport, N.Y., made his first appearance in Toyota Speedway at Irwindale in this past January’s Showdown, and came away impressed.

“I thought the track was awesome,” Park said. “It’s a great facility, and the race track itself is real racy. I think that’s why you hear a lot of guys talk about how great it is to race out there.”

Despite being relegated to a 23rd place finish in his inaugural event there, Park eagerly anticipates a return to Irwindale to compete against the elite competition.

“It’s a melting pot that brings the best of the East and the best of the West together, and shows the fans on SPEED just how competitive NASCAR racing is nationwide,” Park said.

In addition to eligible 2009 race winners and series champions, the starting lineup will be determined through time trials, limited provisionals for Camping World Series regulars, and the last-chance “Open” race that provides drivers one final chance to make the grid.

The 2010 NASCAR Toyota All-Star Showdown schedule also includes 100-lap Whelen All-American Series Super Late Model and 75-lap Late Model races. Both nights of racing will air live on SPEED.

Tiffany Daniels, or Tiff as she goes by, will join fellow female driver Toni McCray and compete in the American Speed Association Transcontinental Series FreeState 500 on Sunday, January 31, 2010 at the Phakisa Freeway Circuit oval in Welkom, Free State South Africa.

“I was really excited,” Daniels said when she got the invitation. “This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to go over to South Africa and run a race. I think its going to be so much fun. It will be really great racing with drivers from the U.S. and South Africa and that is something that we normally don’t get to do in our racing careers and I am looking forward to it.”

Daniels will be teaming up with Marc Davis for this event. The two grew up at the racetracks together and he is excited to have Daniels as his teammate, “She is more than a competitor and teammate, Tiffany is a friend,” Davis said. “We grew up racing together on the short tracks of Virginia and North Carolina over the last 10 years. We are both excited to represent Team USA in the ‘ASA Free State 500.’ We will be the youngest team and hopefully the fastest. Our goals are to make new friends, see a wonderful country South Africa is and finish first and second.”

She is excited about the enthusiasm the Davis’s are bringing to this event, “They are really involved in promoting this race, and they know more about South Africa than I do. So going over there with them will be really interesting and I will probably learn a lot from them,” Daniels exclaimed. “Just catching on to their excitement is awesome. Every time I talk to Harry (Marc’s father) I get more and more excited about going over there and we are all looking forward to the trip and a lot of the things they are working on just sounds so really exciting. It will be a real good experience. We have been friends with the Davis’s for a long time.”

Finishing first is on everyone’s mind especially for Daniels, its who finishes behind her that she is perplexed about. “That would be great to have the girls show up the guys over in South Africa,” Daniels said when asked about her and Tony McCray battling for the win. “But really, as long as I am finishing first I don’t care what the rest of the field looks like. I am going to be completely honest about it. It would be great for the girls to get a one-two finish and also going as a teammate to Marc Davis, I am also hoping our cars finish one-two as well.”

A native of Smithfield, VA, she currently lives in Davidson, NC. After graduating Magna Cum Laude from the University of North Carolina – Charlotte with a Mechanical Engineering degree, she went to work for Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates as a support engineer. Today, she works under Earnhardt Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates where she works with both of the Sprint Cup teams which includes drivers Juan Pablo Montoya and Martin Truex Jr.

Her racing career started by competing in the Legend cars where she finished third at Lowe’s Motor Speedway Summer Shootout Series and third in the Winter Heat Series points. She moved up to limited late models where she had six top-five and nine top-ten finishes in 2007. In 2008, she participated in the Lyn St. James Driver Development Program where she received the Kara Hendrick Memorial Award for displaying outstanding spirit and talent. This past season she competed in the final five Camping World East Series events where her best finish came in the final event at Dover with a 14th place finish.

She is also very familiar with the American Speed Association through another friend, Sprint Cup Driver Reed Sorenson. “I raced with Reed in Legends and our families became very good friends. There was a group of us that would come down from Virginia and another group would come up from Georgia and we usually stayed in the same hotel together,” Daniels recalled. “I remember going to watch him race at the ASA events at Concord and Berlin and learned a lot about the ASA from that. There have been some huge changes in the ASA program and they have done so much to expand especially to come up with a race over in South Africa. That is really impressive and its definitely a good series to be a part of and looking forward to the race.”

“Tiff has a great personality and talent, we are excited to have her as part of this event,” Dennis Huth, ASA President said. “Her enthusiasm shows every time I talk to her. I think she will be a great role model for the young females in South Africa who may have dreamed of becoming a motorsports driver someday. Both her and Toni McCray will make a very favorable impression on and off the track.”

Prior to leaving for South Africa, Daniels will be celebrating her 25th birthday on January 6th.

The 105-inch wheelbase chassis will be approved for ARCA competition at all tracks except the restrictor plate venues of Daytona Int’l Speedway and Talladega Superspeedway. The newly approved wheelbase chassis will see action on-track alongside the current 110-inch wheelbase cars at 19 of the series’ 21 races in 2010, with a rules package designed to create parity between the 105- and 110-inch cars. Outwardly, all cars will bear the same sheet metal configuration as the present lineup including Chevrolet Monte Carlo and Impala SS, Dodge Charger, Ford Fusion and Toyota Camry body styles. The ARCA base rules package of 3400 pound, steel-bodied stock cars with corresponding auto manufacturer engine and body configuration will remain in place.

The timing of the approval coincides with the gradual exit of the present-day 105-inch wheelbase chassis from the Nationwide Series. NASCAR has announced the introduction of the Car of Tomorrow (COT) into the Nationwide Series in 2010, beginning with the July race at Daytona Int’l Speedway. By the end of next season, the Nationwide Series is scheduled to have transitioned exclusively to use of the COT for 2011.

“Since the inception of our series in 1953, we’ve kept an open line of communication with NASCAR and others to monitor industry trends,” said ARCA President Ron Drager. “At the time of the evolution of the NASCAR Sprint Cup COT technology, ARCA team owners represented a market for NASCAR team owners to sell the racecars they were cycling out of inventory. We’re positioned to accommodate a similar situation with the NASCAR Nationwide team owners. We’ve invested a great deal of research and interaction into this move with several groups, in particular our ARCA team owners, and we feel this is the right step with the proper timing for everyone involved.”

Currently, the only chassis approved for use in ARCA is the 110-inch wheelbase car, which the series has campaigned exclusively since 1985. ARCA experienced an influx of racecars as the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series transitioned to the COT technology in 2007.

The 2010 ARCA Racing Series presented by RE/MAX kicks off at Daytona Int’l Speedway on Saturday, Feb. 6, with the 47th running of the Lucas Oil Slick Mist 200.

(November 10, 2009) – Turner Motorsports, LLC announced today former professional motocross and supercross racer Ricky Carmichael has joined the organization to pilot the No. 31 Monster Energy Chevrolet Silverado in the final two NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) events of the 2009 season, at Phoenix International Raceway and Homestead-Miami Speedway. In addition, Carmichael has signed a multi-year contract and will compete full-time in the 2010 Truck Series season for owners Steve and Sandra Turner and the Mooresville, North Carolina-based team. In an effort to gain maximum seat time, Carmichael will also participate in 10 ARCA RE/MAX Series races throughout the 2010 season.

Carmichael, a 29-year-old of Clearwater, Florida, is the most successful rider in American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) history. No other competitor has won fifteen championships or over 150 races, accomplishments which earned him the nickname “GOAT” (Greatest of All-Time). Carmichael made the switch from two wheels to four in 2007, competing in a partial schedule in the Florida FASCAR Series before joining Ken Schrader Racing in the NASCAR Camping World East Series the following year. During the current 2009 NCWTS season, Carmichael has driven on a part-time basis for Kevin Harvick Inc., while challenging for the Raybestos Rookie of the Year honors.

“I’m very excited about having the opportunity to compete full-time in the Truck Series next season for Turner Motorsports,” said Carmichael. “To compete every week and gain as much seat time as possible is the only way that I will be able to get better as a driver. The Truck Series is a great place to learn and the racing is very competitive, no matter which track we go to. On top of the Truck schedule next year, we will run 10 ARCA races and possibly some Nationwide Series races which will give me some extra time in these stock cars. The two races that we will run this year at Phoenix and Homestead will definitely give us a chance to start getting everything ready for 2010 and I’m pumped about the future.”

“To have a driver with as much talent as Ricky is something that every owner wants to have,” said Steve Turner, co-owner of TMS. “Ricky has accomplished a lot in his motocross career and he has the determination and passion to have just as much success in his stock car career. It’s an exciting addition for our Turner Motorsports team and the two races this season will give us a head start heading into 2010.”

Sponsorship details, truck number and personnel will be released at a later date.

Turner Motorsports made its NCWTS debut last weekend at Texas Motor Speedway, with driver Scott Wimmer capturing a 13th-place finish. Carmichael will make his first career start at Phoenix International Raceway this Friday, November 13th as the green-flag will wave on the Lucas Oil 150 shortly after 8 P.M. Eastern. Live television coverage can be seen on SPEED

For Win-Tron Racing, the task of working with a new driver is nothing new but the group led by Car Owner Kevin Cywinski and Crew Chief Mike Chaffee is hoping to bring Moffitt to ARCA stardom much like they’ve done with drivers James Buescher, Matt Merrell, Kelly Bires, Bradley Riethmeyer, Beau Slocumb and Justin Marks this year.

In his first full-season of NCWES competition, Moffitt shined. In 11 races, the Grimes, Iowa native boasted two wins, six top-fives and nine top-10 finishes. He also claimed one pole and finished third in the point standings driving a full season Andy Santerre Motorsports (ASM).

The former ASA Late Model Series driver now turns to the ARCA RE/MAX Series and is hoping for a similar one-race showing like he had in the NASCAR Camping World West Series (NCWWS) at Iowa Speedway where he wheeled the No. 4 Karl Chevrolet machine to a stout fourth place effort at his home track.

Rockingham Speedway can’t be compared to Iowa Speedway but many on the Win-Tron Racing team expect Moffitt to literally explode in his inaugural ARCA debut.

“This kid (Brett Moffitt) has a lot of talent,” said Win-Tron Racing Co-Owner and General Manager Nate Thiesse. “His resume in the NASCAR Camping World East Series this year has been absolutely impressive on a limited budget. We are just thrilled to have the opportunity to work with him this weekend at Rockingham.”

Moffitt expressed a similar feeling towards his ARCA debut in the season finale.

“This is a great opportunity for me,” said Moffitt. “Win-Tron Racing has a very respectable name in the ARCA RE/MAX Series and has some of the best equipment out there. I’m just thankful to have the opportunity to drive for them in probably one of the biggest races of the year.”

Thiesse explained what the team’s overall goals were for the weekend.

“We know Brett is capable of winning and while we strive to win on a weekly basis, if we can leave Rockingham with a good finish on the lead lap, then it’s been a good day. Brett doesn’t have any experience at Rockingham, so the odds are against him this weekend but I think with our success at the track in the past, we can erase that deficit.”

Indeed, Win-Tron Racing surged Matt Merrell to a then career-best third place finish at Rockingham Speedway in April securing the Portland, Texas native with his very first top-five run in ARCA. He went on to record back-to-back career best finishes of second at Berlin Raceway and Pocono Raceway respectively.

Entering Rockingham, Win-Tron Racing holds the fourth position in the ARCA RE/MAX Series owner’s standings after 20 races. Car owner Kevin Cywinski is 600 markers from moving back to the top spot held by fellow car owner Jessica Sharp (No. 6). 210 markers keep Cywinski from the third position controlled by car owner Frank Kimmel (No. 44). The team maintained their position after Beau Slocumb recorded his career best finish of fifth in the most recent ARS event at Kansas Speedway last week.

- NASCAR Nationwide Series driver Trevor Bayne returns to the No. 11 RIDEMAKERZ Toyota at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, Calif., this weekend.

- The Fontana race will be Bayne’s second in the No. 11 RIDEMAKERZ Toyota. He drove to an impressive seventh-place finish in his debut effort with CJM last month at Richmond International Raceway. The race was also his first on the Richmond track.

- The 18-year-old Knoxville, Tenn., native has driven in a total of 12 Nationwide races in the 2009 season, with two top-10 finishes and one pole (O’Reilly Raceway Park).

- Bayne drove full-time in the Camping World East Series in 2008, notching one win (Thompson Speedway), six top-5 finishes and eight top-10s.

- Bayne broke into the East Series in 2007 at the young age of 16, starting one race (Mansfield Motorsports Speedway).

CJM Racing Quick Facts:

- RIDEMAKERZ will return as the primary sponsor of the No. 11 at Fontana. The company offers the first-ever car-customizing experience for kids ages six to 106. Pick one of 70 different car body types and paint schemes, using scale plastic-mold replicas of real-world cars that RIDEMAKERZ licenses from GM, Ford, BMW, and other car companies. Then trick out the ride by picking the wheels, hubcaps, a chassis, sounds, and other options such as radio control. Build YOUR Ride at RIDEMAKERZ.com.

- At the team’s last race on Oct. 3 in Kansas, Brian Scott drove the No. 11 RIDEMAKERZ Toyota to a 14th-place finish. Scott was making a run for a top-10 finish until a late-race restart shuffled the car back in the pack.

- The 2009 season marks the second season CJM Racing is competing in the NASCAR Nationwide Series full-time. The team is currently 17th in the owner point standings.

- CJM Racing transitioned to Toyota Camry’s in 2009 and shares a technical alliance with Joe Gibbs Racing. The partnership formed late last year allows the teams to share technical information as well as research and development.

- The team will bring chassis # 017 to Fontana. CJM ran this chassis earlier in the season at Atlanta with Kelly Bires and at Michigan with Denny Hamlin.

- The Copart 300 at Auto Club Speedway will air LIVE on ESPN2 at 4 pm (ET) on Saturday, Oct. 10th.

Driver Trevor Bayne on Racing the No. 11 RIDEMAKERZ Toyota:

“I’m pretty excited to be racing because I’ve been off for a couple weeks. I appreciate the opportunity to get back in the car for CJM. This is a good group of guys. They put together a car that’s not a start-and-park – I’ll be getting in a car that can win.”

Driver Trevor Bayne on Fontana:

“I’ve never raced there before. I went to a test there when they were testing the C.O.T. (Car of Tomorrow) and watched. So, I’m kind of going in blind, but that’s been my story for the year. I haven’t had much experience on any of the tracks I’ve raced on, but that hasn’t been a problem.”
