(June 8, 2011) – This week 3M launched a “Stay Fit with the Biff” fitness contest which gives students in grades K-12 the chance to win $15,000 in gym equipment and 3M products for their school. Students, parents and teachers can visit www.3M.com/fitnesscontest to submit a short essay about why physical fitness is important to them and their school. Greg Biffle, driver of the No. 16 3M Ford Fusion in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, and his pit crew, the 3M Pit Bulls, are helping with the contest by posting their own fitness tips on the contest website.

“We can’t wait to read the essays that are submitted for the ‘Stay Fit with the Biff’ contest,” said Biffle. “Fitness is a big part of being successful in our sport and we felt that it was an important message to share with kids across the country. 3M is offering a tremendous opportunity for one school to really step up its fitness program by one of its students, parents or teachers submitting the winning essay. I hope that by talking about the contest and providing tips on the website, the message will spread and we can all stay fit together.”

The top five essays will be selected as semi-finalists and submitted for a vote by visitors to the website. The semi-finalist with the highest number of votes will be deemed the grand-prize winner. Essays must be received by September 30th and the essays of the five semi-finalists will be posted for a public voting period from October 11th through October 31st.

For full details about how to enter and contest rules, please visit www.3M.com/fitnesscontest.

Yeley Headshot

BRISTOL, Tennessee (March 15, 2011) - – Every race fan freezes the moment in time when they are able to meet their favorite race car driver. This weekend though at Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway (BMS), NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) veteran J.J. Yeley will do more than just have a meet and greet with his fans.

The “Stay with J.J.” program in conjunction with Star Coach Race Tours will allow fans to have exclusive and unprecedented access to one of the most likable drivers on the tour. Through the program, a handful of fans will literally be parked footsteps away from Yeley in the infield.

Those who purchased a spot for the program not only get the experience of staying in all-inclusive luxury motor coach but they will also personally receive a garage tour from Yeley as well as the opportunity to debrief and ask questions with him at the end of the day. Furthermore, a portion of the proceeds generated from the program will benefit the Bristol Speedway Children’s Charities fund.

“I’ve always been a driver that’s all about the fans. They are the reason we are here,” said Yeley. “This is a new experience that I’m embracing. It looks like we’re going to have a good group of fans and I’m looking forward to it. The fans in the infield always bring out the true devotion to the sport and I’m just excited to be apart of it this weekend.”

He continued, “the Bristol Speedway Children’s Charities program is something I’ve always felt really strong apart. Anything that I do, I always try and have an extra boost with it through one of my charities. In addition to having some fun with my fans, we’re making a difference in other ways too. It doesn’t get any better than that.”

Star Coach Race Tours, provider of the “Stay with J.J.” accommodations as well as the top-notch meals endorsed by Yeley, is a unique entity itself. Founded in 2009 by Joel Labute, Star Coach provides fans with an all-inclusive race weekend package which includes luxury accommodations in a Class-A RV or luxury motor coach, campsite entertainment such as a DJ system and exterior televisions, along with transportation to and from the airport.

“It was a no-brainier for us to take part in this program,” said Labute. “When we were just getting our company off the ground, Bristol Motor Speedway was one of the first tracks to exhibit interest in forming a long-term relationship with Star Coach. We’re excited to be in a position to give back in the form of supporting their chapter of Speedway Children’s Charities. I also know that J.J. would be a perfect fit for this concept. When we got involved with him last year, we could see how passionate his fans were about him and how good he was with his sponsors. He is exactly the type of driver Star Coach wants to be associated with.”

Yeley, who is always known for his down-to-earth demeanor added, “the fans and I will be hanging out like we’ve been friends forever, talking about races, tracks, cars, or whatever else they want. It will be a memorable time and I am looking forward to it”.

In growing response to the program, Star Coach Race Tours and Yeley also announced today that they have added two additional spaces for the program. Further details about becoming part of this opportunity of a lifetime this weekend at Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway are available by visiting starcoachracetours.com, calling 401.241.4450 or emailing joel@starcoachracetours.com.

Yeley drives the No. 46 Whitney Motorsports Chevrolet Impala in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. In 2011, the team has qualified for three straight races this season despite being in the group of “go-or-go homers.” Yeley aims to make his sixth career NSCS start at BMS on Sunday in the Jeff Byrd 500 presented by Food City.

(Aug. 20, 2009) – The most exciting ride in Kings Dominion’s 35-year history will debut in the spring of 2010, as the amusement park introduces a mammoth 5,100-foot long steel Giga-coaster. Intimidator 305 takes it name from one of stock car racing’s most beloved and tenacious drivers, Dale Earnhardt, “the Intimidator™” along with the height of the coaster’s lift hill, 305 feet.

Intimidator 305, only the second Giga-coaster ever built in North America, will be the tallest and fastest roller coaster of its type on the East Coast. The lift hill will stand a towering 305 feet at its highest peak; descend 300 feet at an 85 degree-angle and thunder along the track at speeds in excess of 90 miles per hour during its three minute race to the finish. The trains, fashioned after Dale Earnhardt’s signature black car, will roar through six airtime humps plus three high-speed turns and the experience will have guests screaming for another lap around the track.

“Intimidator 305 will break records as the single largest capital investment in the history Kings Dominion,” said Pat Jones, Kings Dominion’s vice president and general manager. “The numbers speak for themselves, at a cost of $25 million, a lift hill and first drop close to the height of the park’s landmark Eiffel Tower; you’ll have to see it to believe it.” Intimidator 305 will be located in the park’s Congo section and becomes Kings Dominion’s 15th World-class roller coaster.

Dale Earnhardt, Inc. will partner with Cedar Fair Entertainment Company, owners of Kings Dominion, to bring the massive coaster to life. “We’re excited to see this new roller coaster celebrate the speed and intensity of the legendary career of Dale Earnhardt,” said Jeff Steiner, executive vice president and general manager of Dale Earnhardt, Inc. “there are millions of fans that still honor their racing hero and this is a very real way for them to connect with the spirit and passion of the Intimidator™.”

Guests will have the opportunity to see the ride being built from the ground up during the remainder of the park’s 2009 season, as well as follow its progress by watching the online webcam, set up to overlook the entire work site. Those who cannot wait until 2010 may take a virtual ride on Intimidator 305, access exclusive updates, features, virtual renderings, ride statistics, and more at www.intimidator305.com.

Intamin AG of Wollerau, Switzerland, a recognized industry leader in roller coaster development, designed Intimidator 305. The ride is scheduled to open in the spring of 2010.

Kings Dominion is owned and operated by Cedar Fair Entertainment Company, a publicly traded partnership that is listed for trading on The New York Stock Exchange under the symbol “FUN.” In addition to Kings Dominion, Cedar Fair owns and operates ten other amusement parks, six waterparks, one indoor waterpark resort, and five hotels. Cedar Fair also operates the Gilroy Gardens Family Theme Park in Gilroy, Calif. under a management contract.
