(Oct. 24, 2014) – Jamie McMurray drove his No. 1 McDonald’s Chevrolet SS to the pole position Friday at Martinsville Speedway for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series’ Goody’s Headache Relief Shot 500. McMurray posted a lap of 18.954 seconds (99.905 mph) for his second career pole position at the track. McMurray’s lap was good enough for a 0.057-second gap back to second place and his 11th career pole in the Sprint Cup Series.
