NEWS AND NOTES FROM THE RAYBESTOS® ROOKIE CONTENDERS

– NASCAR CAMPING WORLD TRUCK SERIES

Justin Lofton was the Raybestos® Rookie of the Race in the August 2EnjoyIllinois.com 225 at Chicagoland (Joliet, Ill.) Speedway. Lofton scored a fifth-place finish, his second consecutive top-five and fourth of the 2010 season. He claimed top rookie honors for the sixth time this season and moved up to 10th-place in the series championship standings, a gain of two positions.

Austin Dillon scored a ninth-place finish at Chicagoland, his 11th top-10 in 17 races this season. Dillon led once for six laps at Chicagoland and was the only Raybestos® Rookie to lead a lap in the event.

Dillon leads Lofton by 42 points (214-172) in the overall Raybestos® Rookie standings entering the September 3 Built Ford Tough 225 at Kentucky Speedway.

Dillon is seventh in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series championship standings, best of any Raybestos® Rookie, nine points behind sixth-place Matt Crafton and 105 ahead of eighth-place Mike Skinner.

Dillon is the only Raybestos® Rookie in truck series history to win THREE CONSECUTIVE pole positions, capturing the top starting position for the 2010 WinStar World Casino 400 at Texas Motor Speedway (race No. 8), VFW 200 at Michigan International Speedway (race No. 9) and Lucas Oil 200 (race No. 10). The most poles by a Raybestos® Rookie in series history are FOUR by Greg Biffle (1998) and Kurt Busch in (2000).

Ricky Carmichael was the Raybestos® Rookie of the Race in the 2008 Built Ford Tough 225 at Kentucky, scoring a seventh-place finish.

DID YOU KNOW? A Raybestos® Rookie has scored a top-10 finish in seven of the 10 races at Kentucky including the last FOUR consecutive.

DID YOU KNOW? Carl Edwards is the only Raybestos® Rookie to score a win in 10 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series races at Kentucky Speedway. Edwards won the 2003 event by 3.568 seconds over Ted Musgrave. He led the race once covering the final 40 laps.

The best start by a Raybestos® Rookie at Kentucky is second, shared by Ricky Hendrick (2001) and Todd Kluever (2005).

RAYBESTOS® ROOKIE HISTORY

Johnny Sauter won 2009 Raybestos® Rookie of the Year honors in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. Sauter was the top rookie 14 times in 25 races and his official margin of victory over Tayler Malsam was 57 points (270-213). He scored his first win at Las Vegas (Nev.) Motor Speedway (race No. 20) in his 31st career start, 2.474 seconds ahead of teammate Matt Crafton. He finished the season with one win, two poles, seven top-five, 13 top-10 finishes and placed sixth in the series championship standings.

DID YOU KNOW? Austin Dillon is the most recent Raybestos® Rookie to win a race in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series when he captured the 2010 Lucas Oil 200 at Iowa Speedway (eight races).

Kenny Irwin was the first Raybestos® Rookie to win a race in the Camping World Truck Series. Irwin captured the Florida Dodge Dealers 400K at Homestead-Miami Speedway on March 16, 1997. He took the checkered flag by .289 seconds over Mike Bliss.

Irwin also holds the record for quickest win by a Raybestos® Rookie in the Camping World Truck Series, scoring his first career win at Homestead in just his third career start.

TWO Raybestos® Rookies have won consecutive pole positions: Austin Dillon (2010) and Kurt Busch (2000).
