It started Saturday night with the USAR Pro Cup Series Aaron’s 150. This was the third race of the four race championship series. Brett came into this race in eighth place in the championship points. He was looking to move up in the points this week with a strong run at Rockingham. Those hopes would quickly come to an end for the LoanMax team.

Brett would qualify the No.1 Chevrolet in the 19th position for the Aaron’s 150. Just four laps into the race there was a crash involving the LoanMax car. The damage was severe enough to take Brett out of the race. He would finish the day with a disappointing 24th. This was his second DNF at Rockingham Speedway.

“It was a crazy weekend at Rockingham Speedway,” said Butler. “We just were not able to stay out of trouble in the Pro Cup race. I am extremely disappointed that we only got four laps in before something happened. That was a really tough day for the LoanMax team, because we have worked so hard to get where we were and to have something like that happen this close to the end of the season is tough.”

Sunday, Brett was hoping to turn things around and have a solid finish for the ARCA RE/MAX season finale in the American 200 at Rockingham Speedway.

After qualifying 33rd, the LoanMax team decided to make some adjustments to the No.1 Ford, and therefore had to start the race in the back of the large pack in 41st. This being the last race of the season, the racing was intense for the American 200. Brett would finish 24th with five laps down. As the checkered flag waved there would only be 15 cars on the lead lap.

After the Aaron’s 150 at Rockingham Speedway, Brett is now in 10th for the Championship points in the USAR Pro Cup Series.

Brett will return to the tracks on October 31st for the season finale in the USAR Pro Cup Series at South Boston. He will be behind the wheel of the No.1 LoanMax Chevrolet for the final race in the Championship Series.

He will make his return to the ARCA RE/MAX Series since August 1st this Thursday at Kansas Speedway.

Busy following the USAR Pro Cup Series, Brett has worked his way up in the Championship points to eighth place with two races to go. In the meantime, brother KBIII has been racing the No.1 LoanMax Ford in the past ARCA races, but Brett is here to finish out the season.

Brett undoubtedly has big shoes to fill at Kansas Speedway Thursday night. Last year, older brother KBIII set the track record in qualifying with a record time of 30.799 seconds at the 1.5 mile paved track.

“It’s exciting to get to compete on this track after my brother set the record last year,” said Butler. “I am really hoping to perform just as good if not better this Thursday with the LoanMax team. If I can carry over my momentum I have from the USAR Pro Cup series to the ARCA series, we will be in good shape. I am definitely looking forward to returning to the ARCA Series this Thursday night.”

With only two races remaining in the ARCA RE/MAX 2009 season, the racing will most certainly become more competitive and much more exciting as drivers compete to win the championship.

You can catch Brett Butler in the No.1 LoanMax Ford racing for the checkered flag in the ARCA RE/MAX Series Kansas Lottery 150 at Kansas Speedway. The race action will start live at 5:00 PM EST on SPEED. For more ticket information visit www.kansasspeedway.com.

After qualifying 16th, the LoanMax team made adjustments to the car, therefore, KBIII had to start in the back of the field.

This did not slow down the Georgia native. He quickly made his way up towards the front half of the field. Near the end of the race he was running as fast as the leaders.

With only three cars on the lead lap, KBIII definitely had an incredible run at the half mile track.

After a routine pit stop, KBIII quickly notice something different about the car and the way it was driving. The pit crew had put the left side tires on the right side and the right side tires on the left making it difficult to drive properly. KBIII made a quick pit stop under a green flag to correct the mistake. The LoanMax car would get a few laps down as a result.

After the correction, KBIII was running times as fast as the leaders, but with a few laps down on a short track it was difficult to make up the lost time.

KBIII would end up bringing the No. LoanMax Ford across the finish line in the tenth place position. This finish marks as the first top ten for the LoanMax sponsor.

“I am really proud of the LoanMax team,” said KBIII. “We overcame a pit stop mistake and were able to make the best of it. Once we made the tire correction we were definitely fast. If we hadn’t lost those laps, we would have been able to run up front with those guys. I happy with our finish and I am excited to have gotten LoanMax at top ten finish in ARCA.”

The race at Salem Speedway is the last ARCA RE/MAX race KBIII will appear in for the 2009 season. He will continue to race in the NASCAR Nationwide Series while younger brother Brett will finish out the 2009 ARCA season in the last two races.

The next stop for the ARCA RE/MAX Series is the Kansas Lottery 150 at Kansas Speedway on October 1st. KBIII’s brother and USAR Pro Cup driver Brett will take his place in the No.1 LoanMax Ford for this race.

He will be behind the wheel of the No. 1 LoanMax Ford at Salem Speedway for the Kentuckiana Ford Dealers ARCA Fall Classic in Salem, Indiana. This will also be the second visit in the 2009 season for the ARCA RE/MAX series. This track was the second race of the season back in April of this year.

KBIII’s last appearance at the 0.555 mile track was in September of 2008. During this race he led 24 laps late in the race when he ran over debris and cut a tire. He had to pit under green settling for a 19th place finish.

Ken Butler III

“Last year I thought I really had a chance to get a win at Salem,” said KBIII. “Then the debris on the track cut my tire and I had to pit. Because of this we just got too many laps behind and there was not enough race left to make up for it. I believe the LoanMax team can perform well this weekend and get a good finish that we deserve.”

The ARCA RE/MAX race will run in conjunction with the ARCA Lincoln Welders Truck Series at the 33 degree banked track. The truck series will run a 50 lap event while the RE/MAX series runs a 200 lap event.

“This is an exciting track to race at,” said KBIII. “It’s a short track which are usually my personal favorite and it’s higher banked than most tracks we usually go to so it makes for faster racing. It’s just a lot of fun to race on.”

The short track action for the Kentuckiana Ford Dealers ARCA Fall Classic will be this Saturday, September 19th at 7:15 PM EST at the Salem Speedway in Salem, IN. For ticket information visit www.salemspeedway.com.

Since Andy Hillenburg, ARCA RE/MAX Series champion in 1995, reopened “The Rock” last year, he has spent countless hours and tireless nights trying to bring back Rockingham Speedway, the track that the fans of North Carolina grew up with and love.

With almost two years in the books, he’s getting closer to making that dream a reality.

A lot is on tap for that wild weekend in October and even with Halloween just a few short weeks following ARCA’s season finale and USAR’s third of four championship events – the track is bound to see some spooktacular action.

As far as the storylines are considered, if you dig deep – there is more then plenty to talk about.

Each series has a championship on the line.

In the ARCA RE/MAX Series it’s been the Parker Klingerman vs. Justin Lofton show with each of the drivers swapping victory after victory during the course of the 2009 season. Other than wins by James Buescher, Patrick Sheltra, Patrick Long and Spring Rockingham winner Sean Caisse, it’s been the Eddie Sharp Racing or Cunningham Motorsports entries lighting them up before heading to victory lane.

Should that trend not continue heading into Rockingham – odds are that someone else out of the ARCA crop could pop into victory lane in the American 200. Some obvious choices include; nine-time ARCA RE/MAX Series champion Frank Kimmel, newcomer Joey Coulter, Rockingham favorite Bryan Silas; Eddie Sharp Racing rookie Craig Goess Jr, Venturini Motorsports new pilot Steve Arpin or could Daytona Beach, Florida native Alli Owens make history and become the first woman in the history of ARCA to win an event?

How about the other championship race? In the point standings, fifth through eighth is extremely tight; a championship race in itself. Rockingham has been known time and time again to cause a ruckus when you least expect it.

With every ARCA RE/MAX Series event comes a few surprises too. Don’t be surprised to see some NASCAR Sprint Cup Series or NASCAR Nationwide Series drivers piled into the mix. Kasey Kahne’s driver, Brad Sweet is expected to drive the No. 90 Great Clips Toyota.

Long-time ARCA competitor Ken Schrader will look for redemption after running out of fuel two laps from the finish in May. Another female driver is expected to be in the lineup and it’s not Gabi DiCarlo – the entry list will grow and grow as the time nears.

The race is also a perfect venue for prospective drivers to get ahead of their game for the 2010 season.

Before the ARCA RE/MAX Series takes center stage on Sunday, October 11, the stars and cars of the USAR Pro Cup Series will take the presence of the one-mile track on Saturday, October 10 setting up what is expected to be one of their finest races of the year.

Long-time racer Clay Rogers is leading the pursuit in the USAR championship chase but Winston Salem, North Carolina resident Brandon Ward is trying to reel in the part-time ARCA RE/MAX Series driver.

Drew Herring made his ARCA debut at Rockingham in April but focused on a full season of USAR competition which has locked him third in the championship race.

Newcomer’s J.P. Morgan and Lucas Ransone are also going to try and make some noise of their own in the Aaron’s 100.

Series veterans Caleb Holman, Jeff Agnew, Matt Lofton, Bobby Gill and Billy Bigley Jr. are also expected to mix up the heat.

Rockingham could be a very busy weekend for Brett Butler. The recently married driver has had a busy 2009 season between racing a jammed packed USAR schedule, a few NASCAR Camping World Truck Series races not to mention piloting the No. 1 LoanMax Ford Fusion for Andy Belmont Racing in the ARCA RE/MAX Series. Rumor on the street is that the Georgia native will be pulling double-duty between USAR and ARCA.

Other drivers expected to contend at Rockingham include: Derek Kale, A.J. Frank, Michael Ritch, Benny Gordon and Kyle Fowler.

Some of the untold and unknown stories in the ARCA RE/MAX Series and USAR Pro Cup Series are so much alike. To the driving all night with no sleep and a mattress in the back of the van – how about working a full-time job then piling up with your fellow crew members and energy drinks to get that rush? This is racing – at its finest.

All the roads whether they come from North, South, West or East lead to Rockingham Speedway and I can’t imagine it getting much better than this.

This will be the second visit to this track for KBIII as well as for the ARCA RE/MAX Series.

In 2008, KBIII started 16th on the 14-turn road course and finished 16th as well. This time around he will be looking to finish in the top ten for the South Jersey Building Trades 150.

This race marks as the 18th race of 21 for the 2009 season and the only road course on the ARCA RE/MAX schedule.

Ken Butler III

“The road course is a fun track to race on,” said KBIII. “It is definitely a change of pace from the traditional asphalt oval we are used to. The driving strategy is a bit different than if we were on an oval. The turns are a lot tighter and you really have to focus to stay on the track. As long as we can stay out of trouble we should be able to run in the top ten this weekend.”

Along with the ARCA RE/MAX Series race, the Volkswagen Jetta TDI Cup, Pro-IT and the Tri-State Vintage Stock Car Reunion featuring historic stock cars will be a part of the South Jersey Building Trades 150 weekend starting on September 11th and going through September 13th.

The road course action for the South Jersey Building Trades 150 will be this Sunday, September 13th at 1:00 PM EST at the New Jersey Motorsports Park in Millville, NJ.

First he would travel to Toledo, OH on Friday for the ARCA Re/Max 200 presented by Federated and Belle Tire where he qualified 15th and finished 18th at Toledo Speedway. Then Sunday afternoon KBIII was racing on dirt at the DuQuion State Fairgrounds in DuQuion, IL where he qualified 22nd and finished 22nd.

Starting 15th in the ARCA Re/max 200 at Toledo Speedway, KBIII definitely had a good car that could run up front. It was just a matter of getting it up there. During the race, he ended up cutting three tires at once and was forced to pit under green. The LoanMax Ford was not able to make up for the lost time and ended up five laps down in the 18th position by the end of the race.

After qualifiying 22nd at the one mile dirt track of DuQuion State Fairgrounds, the LoanMax team made adjustments to the sway bar and KBIII was able to start the race strong. At the start of the Southern Illinois 100 the LoanMax Ford was really fast moving up five positions on the first lap.

On lap 15 several cars made contact in front on KBIII and ended up wrecking. He was able to get through the wreckage, but due to the rain from earlier KBIII was not able to avoid the mud. The LoanMax car was stuck until the wrecker could come to pull him out. This caused him to get four laps down and he was not able to make up the laps. He ended the day in the 22nd position with four laps down, although, he was turning lap times just as fast as the race winner.

Ken Butler III

“This was a rough day for us,” said Butler. “We had a fast car once we made adjustments to the sway bar and we had already started making our way up towards the front of the field early in the race then that wreck happened. That mud was so thick; my car would not even budge. It seems like it took forever for someone to come out there to pull me out. Once we got four laps behind, it was just hard to catch back up. It was still a fun day. Dirt track racing is definitely dirty, but it’s fun.”

KBIII will return to the No.1 LoanMax Ford on Sunday, September 13th at the 2.25 mile roadcourse of the New Jersey Motorsports Park for the South Jersey Building Trades 150. Race time starts at 1:00 PM EST.

Toledo Speedway holds great memories with KBIII. This is where he received his first ARCA RE/MAX victory in 2007. He has also qualified inside the top ten at Toledo three out of four races since 2007.

This will be the second visit to the .5 mile asphalt track for the ARCA RE/MAX series in the 2009 season. However, this is the first time KBIII will be returning to Toledo since last October where he finished 11th.

Ken Butler III

“I always look forward to racing at Toledo,” said KBIII. “This is where I got my first win and I usually qualify fairly well. I am hoping we can get good results this Friday. I really think we can walk away with a top five finish here in the No.1 LoanMax car.”

Monday, KBIII will take the No. 1 LoanMax Ford around the one mile dirt track at the DuQuoin State Fairgrounds. This will mark the second race for KBIII on this track with the ARCA RE/MAX Series.

“Dirt track racing is very different from racing on asphalt,” said KBIII. “It’s a lot of fun and it definitely keeps you on your toes. I really like that the ARCA RE/MAX Series changes things up throughout the season by traveling to these dirt tracks. It’s good to mix things up and keep it interesting. You never know what is going to happen at the dirt tracks.”

The ARCA RE/MAX 200 presented by Federated and Belle Tire will be this Friday, September 4th. The green flag will wave at 8:30 PM EST. You can catch live timing and scoring on www.arcaracing.com.

To finish out Labor Day weekend, the ARCA RE/MAX Series Southern Illinois 100 will take action at the DuQuoin State Fairgrounds on Monday, September 7th. The dirt track action starts at 1:00 PM EST. You can also watch live timing and scoring on www.arcaracing.com.

Atlanta, GA (August 31, 2009) Friday night showed to be a rough night for KBIII and the No. 1 LoanMax car at Chicagoland Speedway. After a disappointing qualifying run, KBIII would start the No. 1 LoanMax car in the 25th position for the Ansell Cut Protection 150.

Hoping things would get better once the green flag waved, KBIII was not ever able to get the car to drive the way it should be driving. The LoanMax team decided to pit under green to work on the car, as a result they were never able to recover the lost time.

KBIII would finish the Ansell Cut Protection 150 at Chicagoland Speedway with four laps down in 28th.

“This was definitely a disappointing day at Chicagoland,” said KBIII. “We could never figure out what was wrong with the car, but it was just driving horribly. The crew tried everything to get it to run right; we just couldn’t get it fixed.”

Teammate Kory Rabenold would finish his No. 14 LoanMax Ford in the 18th position at Chicagoland.

Next stop for KBIII and the No. 1 LoanMax Ford will be at Toledo Speedway in Toledo, OH for the ARCA RE/MAX 200 presented by Federated and Belle Tire on Friday, September 4th.

The fans are sure to get a load of racing action this Friday night at Chicagoland. Following the ARCA RE/MAX Series Ansell Cut Protection 150 will be the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race.

Last year KBIII walked away with a top ten finish at Chicagoland in the ARCA RE/MAX Series with Eddie sharp Racing. KBIII is hoping he can do even better the second time around in the No. 1 LoanMax car this Friday night.

“I am really looking forward to returning to Chicagoland,” said KBIII. “Last year I had a really strong run; I really think maybe this year we can get a top five finish for the night.”

Brett Butler, brother of KBIII is taking this night off to get ready for the big day on Saturday, August 29th when he will be marrying his fiancée Rachel in Stone Mountain, GA. KBIII will be missing rehearsal dinner since he will be racing in the Ansell Cut Protection 150 so the Butler family will be playing the race live on a big screen during the dinner.

“I really hate not being able to be at the rehearsal for my brother,” said KBIII. “I am sure they will all have a lot of fun. I will just have to catch up with them on Saturday for the wedding.”

The Ansell Cut protection 150 will air live on SPEED from Chicagoland Speedway this Friday, August 28th at 6:30 PM EST.

“Butler Brothers Go For Four Races in Five Days”

Atlanta, GA (August 16, 2009) This week will be a busy week for the Butler brothers as they prepare for four races within five days. Starting Wednesday, younger brother Brett will travel to Bristol Motor Speedway to compete in his second NASCAR Camping World Truck series race. He will then climb into the No.1 LoanMax Chevrolet at Langley Speedway in Hampton, VA on Saturday for the last regular season USAR Pro Series race.

Older brother Ken (KBIII) will race this Friday in the No. 23 Aaron’s Dream Machine for the NASCAR Nationwide Series at Bristol Motor Speedway followed by Sunday in the No. 1 LoanMax car for the ARCA RE/MAX Series at the Illinois State Fairgrounds.

After competing full time for the 2008 season, KBIII will be returning to the ARCA RE/MAX Series for the first time this season at the dirt track of the Illinois State Fairgrounds.

“I am excited about racing at a dirt track,” said KBIII. “It’s a lot different than racing on asphalt, but it’s a ton of fun. I am looking forward to racing with all the guys that I raced with last season in the ARCA series and bringing the No.1 LoanMax car in for a great finish.”

The O’Reilly 200 presented by Valvoline will be the second NASCAR series race Brett Butler has competed in his racing career. His first race was in March at Martinsville for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. He qualified 36th and finished 26th. This Wednesday he will have to qualify the No. 99 LoanMax truck well in order to make the race at Bristol.

“I really enjoy racing at Bristol,” said Butler. “It is definitely a fast track, but it is a lot of fun to race around. I have a busy week ahead and I can’t thank LoanMax enough for supporting me at each race. I would not be here without their support. I am really looking forward to racing at both Bristol and Langley this week for both series.”

LoanMax will be featured as the primary sponsor for three out four of the races this weekend. This will be great exposure for the supportive sponsor as the Butler Brothers make their way around four of the top five racing circuits in the nation.

You can catch all the action this week starting with the NASCAR Camping World at Bristol Motor Speedway Wednesday, August 19th live on SPEED at 8:00 PM EST. Friday night watch Ken Butler compete in the NASCAR Nationwide Food City 250 behind the wheel of the No. 23 Aaron’s Dream Machine. Then Saturday, Brett will be back in the No. 1 LoanMax car at Langley Speedway for the second time this season starting at 7:00 PM EST. This race will air on Sunday, September 6th at 11:00 AM EST on FSN. Finally, catch Ken race the No. 1 LoanMax car to the finish line in the ARCA RE/MAX Allen Crowe 100 at the Illinois State Fairgrounds at 1:00 PM EST.

Drive Smart! Buckle-Up Kentucky 150 on Saturday July 18, 2009. Vest has been involved in the ARCA RE/MAX Series since 2007 in many different roles.

Vest has three prior starts in the ARCA RE/MAX Series but will make his fourth and first ever start at the Bluegrass track following the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series event Saturday night.

Vest first got involved with the ARCA RE/MAX in 2007 when driver Brian Silas joined the series. Silas had been driving one of Vest’s FASCAR Late Model cars, which Vest leases, through his company Volusia County Racecars.

At the time, Brian was running for Bobby Jones in the ARS and asked Vest to join him on the team. While Vest was enjoying racing in his own FASCAR Late Model he accepted Silas’s offer. During the past two years, Vest has served as the Stuart, Florida native’s spotter on many occasions when car owner Andy Hillenburg was unable to do so.

In 2008, the Orlando, Florida resident was presented the opportunity to run for Andy Hillenburg as well.

Vest ran in the ARCA RE/MAX Series races at Springfield, Cayuga and DuQuoin Speedway’s. Springfield was his first time on a dirt track, to say the least it was quite an experience.

The 35-year-old did not have a full crew, in fact Silas’s pilot served as his spotter.

After starting in the 28th position and running in the top-10 for most of the race, Vest was able to soldier home in the 14th position. Vest also tested at Daytona International Speedway this past December with Andy Hillenburg and was granted his superspeedway approval.

Along with LoanMax, World Class Stone of Orlando, Florida will appear on the ABR No 1 for this weekend’s festivities.

Additional marketing partners for Vest’s venture will BuckedUp apparel and Volusia County Racecars.

About Andy Belmont Racing:

Andy Belmont Racing is a driver development program. ABR offers opportunities to race in the ARCA RE/MAX Series, NASCAR Camping World East Series & NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.

He will race in the Prairie Meadows 200 at the 7/8 mile asphalt tri-oval race track of Iowa Speedway under Andy Belmont Racing.

Andy Belmont Racing and LoanMax have reached an agreement to field the No.1 LoanMax car for the remainder of the 2009 ARCA RE/MAX Season. The schedule will be split between Brett Butler and his brother Ken Butler, III. The Butler brothers will be racing the No.1 LoanMax Ford Fusion with Roush/Yates motors.

Brett currently runs the full schedule of the USAR ProCup Series for the 2009 season as well. He will now join the Belmont Racing team this season to compete in the ARCA series.

This will be the second time he has raced under this team this season. Earlier this season, Butler took the wheel of a Belmont car in early February at Daytona International Speedway in the ARCA RE/MAX Series qualifying 25th and finishing 39th.

“I am looking forward to running with the boys,” said Andy Belmont, team owner. “I have worked with Brett before at Daytona this year. He qualified really well and was running great, when he got caught up in a wreck. He was really great to work with; I think we will do well.”

Andy Belmont has been involved with racing for 35 years. He has spent 11 years with the ARCA RE/MAX Series and has finished in the top ten in points most of those years. He stepped out of the car in 2006 and has been leading his race team ever since.

“Brett is going to be in a great car,” said Belmont. “This team has been on the poll at Talladega earlier this season and had great finishes with a third at Toledo and a sixth at Salem as well. The boys will have Wayne Carroll as their crew chief. Wayne was with KBIII when he got the pole at Kansas and Nashville last year in ARCA. So Wayne should work with these guys really well.”

You can catch Brett Butler in the ARCA RE/MAX Series this Saturday, July 11th as he tackles Iowa Speedway in the Prairie Meadows 200. The No. 1 LoanMax Ford Fusion will start the race at 8:00 PM EST. For ticket information visit www.iowaspeedway.com.
