The 2012 NSCS Preseason Thunder at Daytona Day 1 afternoon practice/test session is complete, and it was Kyle Busch, with a lap speed of 202.402 mph, posting the fastest lap.

Busch’s fellow Joe Gibbs Racing teammate, Joey Logano, was second fastest with a lap speed of 202.388 mph, and they were followed by Brad Keselowski (202.224) who was third fastest, AJ Allmendinger (202.220) fourth fastest and Dale Earnhardt, Jr. (200.920) who was fifth fastest.

Rounding out the top-ten fastest were Jimmie Johnson (200.915) who was sixth fastest, Denny Hamlin (200.156) seventh, Kasey Kahne (199.791) eighth, Mark Martin (196.584) ninth and Clint Bowyer (196.584) posting the tenth fastest lap speed.

Testing/practice will continue Friday for the second (of three) day, and track activity is scheduled to get underway from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM (EDT) for the morning session.
