The Copart Tundra chassis was loose and the changes he and the crew decided to make to correct it cost track position. Bodine fell as far back as 22nd in the running order before fighting back to finish fifth, earning his 11th top-five finish in the 25-race season.

“Tonight’s race really goes with the theme of Germain Racing. We never give up. We came in and adjusted the truck, which took some time. We fought back to regain the track position and put the Copart Tundra back in the top ten before the last caution,” said Bodine.

The Copart Tundra had been a little loose in practice but got worse when the green flag waved the 36-truck field into action on Friday night for the 25th and final race of the 2009 season.

“We were really loose – a lot of guys were loose tonight and the Copart Tundra was no exception. Mike Hillman Jr. (crew chief) and the Copart Tundra pit crew made some adjustments and some great pit stops. It was still too loose but I was able to drive it. I adjusted my line and found something. Before that last caution came out we were really fast,” explained Bodine.

Three short laps before the race was to have ended, a final caution brought many of the race leaders to pit road for fresh tires. The stage was set for a green-white-checkered shootout for the finish and Bodine used the opportunity to get another top-five finish for the Copart Tundra.

“We took two tires and pumped up the air pressure. We pumped up the right front just a little too much and made the truck push, but all in all it was a great race for this Copart Tundra team,” said Bodine.

Todd Bodine finished the 2009 racing season fourth in Truck Series championship standings. The result comes from a total team effort, that worked through a generous assortment of struggles to go along with the two wins and one pole award earned this year.

“The middle of this season was kind of rough on everyone, but this team stuck together and stuck it out. We started this season with a win in Daytona and no sponsor. Copart came on board, with Ventrilo and then Lumber Liquidators came back for a few races and we made it through. This is a resilient race team,” said Bodine.

Germain Racing first raced in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series in 2004, running a partial-season schedule. The team has competed full-time since 2005, and has scored a top-five finish in the series championship each year, including one Truck Series title win.

“Bodine To Compete in Nationwide Series for 19th Consecutive season”

Todd Bodine

Homestead, FL (November 20, 2009) – Homestead is a special race for everyone in NASCAR, but for varying reasons. For some, it marks the end of a long year, while others are seeking championship status. Todd Bodine is obviously comfortable here because he has recorded two wins at the South Florida racetrack, where he took home the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series trophy in both 2005 and 2008 driving for Germain Racing.

While Bodine’s main focus is winning his second consecutive race here at Homestead-Miami Speedway tonight in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series in the #30 Copart Toyota Tundra, Saturday will also be special for the 2006 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Champion. It is a special day for Bodine because it will mark 19 consecutive years that he has competed in the NASCAR Nationwide Series, as he slides behind the wheel of the #42 Smith Ironworks Dodge in Saturday’s Ford 300.

Bodine, affectionately nicknamed ‘The Onion’, has achieved great success in NASCAR and will most certainly go down in racing history as one of the best to ever wheel a racecar around an oval track. However, for Bodine personally, the greater success may be to have achieved longevity in a sport that sees drivers quickly move in and out as fast as the tide on South Beach.

When hope was fading, he persevered; when people doubted, he believed. In a business that is mostly inconsistent, Bodine is consistent. When fans show up at the track each week, they know they will see him race. Even Bodine was moved emotionally when told of the milestone.

“It’s really special to think about being able to race in a series for 19 consecutive years, and I consider it a highlight of my career,” Bodine said. “I got my start in the Nationwide Series in 1991 and consider it a great reason for the success that I have experienced. I’ve also been surrounded by a lot of great people along the way who have allowed me to continue living my dream. It’s great to be at the track each week and spend time with fans and then go out and put on a good show.” He continued, “This weekend is special and I’m hoping to get it off to a great start tonight in the #30 Copart Toyota Tundra.”

When he stands on the starting grid on Saturday, Bodine will know in his heart that he won a different race, maybe even a more important race. He won the race of longevity and will go down as not only being one of the best, but also one of the longest running drivers in NASCAR history.

(November 20, 2009) — When the green flag waves to start Friday night’s
NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) race at Homestead-Miami Speedway, it will mark
the 150th race for Toyota in the series since the beginning of the 2004 season.

“Reaching our 150th start in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series is a great moment for
Toyota and the Tundra,” said Ed Laukes, corporate manager of motorsports operations, Toyota Motor
Sales, U.S.A. “We’ve been able to align ourselves with some extremely talented drivers like Mike
Skinner, who has made all 150 starts in a Tundra, and Todd Bodine who was our inaugural driver’s
champion in the series. What we’ve accomplished during our first 150 races is a result of the
dedication of all the teams and drivers that have campaigned Tundras over the past six seasons, as
well as the hard work of everyone at TRD, U.S.A.”

During the past six years, Tundra drivers have recorded 65 victories and captured 68 pole
positions, and have helped Toyota win four consecutive Camping World Truck Series manufacturer’s
championships (2006 to 2009).

In 149 races, 17 teams and 75 drivers have combined to make a total of 1,421 NCWTS starts.
Mike Skinner is the only driver who has started all 149 races. In addition to Skinner, just two other
drivers have been a part of all four manufacturer’s titles — Bodine (133 starts) and Johnny Benson
(121 starts). Bodine and Benson have both been driving Tundras since 2004, although Benson only
ran a partial NCTWS schedule this season.

“When I heard that Toyota was entertaining getting into NASCAR back in 2003, and they were going
to do it the first couple years through the Truck Series — I really missed the trucks and wanted to get back
into the series,” said Skinner, driver of the Randy Moss Motorsports No. 5 Exide Toyota Tundra. “We
partnered up with Toyota and it’s just been a fantastic venture ever since. We’ve become friends as well
as business partners. It’s been an honor to drive for Toyota and represent them — it’s just been really,
really great. Toyota has been very supportive of me so when we have good years — like being able to
help them get four straight manufacturer’s championships — it makes it feel like its all worth it.”

Tundra drivers Skinner and Bodine have both been a part of all four of Toyota’s NCWTS
manufacturer’s championships and have not missed a series race since the beginning of the 2006
season. In addition to Bodine winning the driver’s title in 2006, Benson also captured the driver’s
crown in 2008 in a Toyota.

Todd Bodine

“It was special to be the first champion and it was a privilege for me knowing Toyota’s history in
motorsports — not just NASCAR — but the championships that they have won in other forms of
motorsports,” said Bodine, driver of the Germain Racing No. 30 Copart Toyota Tundra. “To be able to be
the first champion in the upper levels of NASCAR competition was very special. We are all also very
proud of what we accomplished as a group for Toyota — not only the four straight manufacturer’s
championships — but also successfully helping Toyota move into the Nationwide Series and Sprint Cup
Series.”

Skinner leads all Toyota drivers with 35 pole positions, including a series-record 11 in 2007, in his
149 starts in a Tundra. The Susanville, Calif.-native has also recorded 12 victories in a Tundra.
Bodine, who has 133 starts in a Tundra, has recorded 17 victories for Toyota in the Camping
World Truck Series, the most of any Tundra driver. He also has started from the pole five times.

Copart Tundra driver Todd Bodine has led laps at Homestead-Miami Speedway in two of the top-three NASCAR divisions and has amassed 20 career starts at the Florida 1.5-mile circuit including two Truck Series wins (2005, 2008).

“Homestead-Miami Speedway is a special place for Germain Racing’s Copart Tundra team. We have two wins there and we clinched our championship there. I like racing at Homestead, I always have, and I’m looking forward to seeing if we can get the Copart Tundra one more win this year,” said Bodine, who last year started the final race of the year in 18th position and rose to the top of the competition to collect the win.

Bodine kicked off 2008 with his first career win at Daytona International Speedway then finished it off with the Homestead win. He won the first and last races in the final season for former Truck Series title sponsor and now official tools of NASCAR, Craftsman. Bodine backed that effort up by winning the first Camping World Truck Series race this past February, at Daytona. The stage is set for another “bookend” of wins for Germain Racing’s Copart Tundra team.

“To win at the season opener, and the season finale, that’s definitely a great way to bookend the year. It was great to do it in 2008, and I certainly hope we can do it again in 2009,” said Bodine, who has 20 NASCAR career starts at Homestead.

Crew chief Mike Hillman Jr. says last year’s win was a great team effort.

“Last year’s win at Homestead was the result of great pit stops and a lot of communication with our driver to get the track position we needed and the chassis changes we needed to be able to win. We’ll look for more of the same when we get back to Florida this week,” said Hillman, who has prepared chassis TRD-124 for the Friday night race. “We’re bringing our Texas race winner to Homestead. We have had some great performances with this No. 30 Copart Tundra chassis so our team will have some extra confidence and very high expectations this weekend.”

Racing action at Homestead-Miami Speedway starts at 8:00 PM Eastern on Friday, November 20th, with qualifying earlier Friday evening at 5:00 PM Eastern. (11-16-2009) – Heading into this weekend’s racing at Phoenix International Raceway, the No. 30 Copart Tundra team of Germain Racing had no reason to expect less than strong results at the one-mile circuit. After two practice sessions, the team and driver Todd Bodine felt the Copart Tundra was setup to capture another top finish or maybe another win. Following a tenth-place qualifying effort for the Lucas Oil 150, the team confidence level remained high, but it faded quickly once the green flag waved the 36-truck NASCAR Camping World Truck Series field into action for the 150-lap event.

“Honestly, Friday night was a race we won’t understand until we can tear the truck down back at the race shop. On paper, the Copart Tundra was great. Todd told us he thought he left a little on the table in qualifying, so we felt confident that our starting spot was because of that and not because anything was wrong with the truck. The Copart Tundra behaved the same as it did throughout the practice sessions, so we felt we knew to expect from it in racing conditions,” explained crew chief Mike Hillman Jr. “For a lot of other race teams, starting tenth and finishing twelfth wouldn’t necessarily be a bad night. For this Germain Racing team, watching the Copart Tundra struggle outside the top-ten at a track where our worst performance in the last four seasons was a sixth-place finish, the night was very disappointing.”

The tenth-place qualifying effort turned in by Bodine bested his fastest practice lap by almost two-tenths of a second, whereas pole winner Johnny Sauter lost a tenth in qualifying from his best practice time. Hillman, Bodine and the crew felt the No. 30 Tundra would be seen in its usual position at Phoenix International Raceway – racing around in the top-five and top ten.

“Before the green flag waved at Phoenix, you couldn’t have convinced me our night would go the way it did. But, it did. The Copart Tundra became extremely inconsistent once the race started. The truck acted like something might have failed on the chassis. The Germain Racing pit crew did an awesome job on pit road making a lot of adjustments. We couldn’t solve the problem, but we were almost able to get the Copart Tundra back into the top ten. We’ll tear the truck down on Monday and see if there’s anything we can figure out before we head down to Homestead,” said Hillman Jr.

While Kevin Harvick took the victory on Friday night, Bodine’s twelfth-place finish kept him in fourth-place in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series driver’s points standings. The No. 30 Copart Tundra team is ranked fifth in owner’s standings heading into the 2009 season finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

Post-Race Notes & Quotes

Phoenix International Raceway – November 13, 2009

- Kyle Busch (second) was the top finishing Toyota driver in Friday night’s NASCAR Camping World Truck Series
(NCWTS) race at Phoenix International Raceway.

- Aric Almirola (third) also finished in the top-five at Phoenix, his seventh top-five result in 15 starts this season.
Mike Skinner (sixth), Mike Bliss (seventh), David Starr (ninth) and Stacy Compton (10th) also had top-10 finishes
for Toyota at the one-mile race track.

- Tundra drivers Brian Scott (11th), Todd Bodine (12th), T.J. Bell (13th), Timothy Peters (16th), Tayler Malsam
(17th) and Brad Sweet (22nd) were also in the field.

- Five Tundra drivers are among the top-10 in the unofficial NCWTS point standings — Skinner (third), Bodine
(fourth), Scott (sixth), Starr (eighth) and Peters (ninth) – with one race remaining in the 2009 season.

Finishing Position: 2nd

How was your race tonight?

“We weren’t as good as the 4 (Kevin Harvick). We did the best that we can and that’s all that we could come home with.
He (Kevin Harvick) kicked our butt pretty bad last year and we got a gain on it this year and that gain right there, we need
another one and we’ll be able to keep up with them or try to at least beat him. We kept up with him tonight but needed a
little more.”

Did you feel that you had a race-winning truck tonight?

“We didn’t have enough for the (Kevin) Harvick trucks tonight. (Ron) Hornaday kind of battled for a championship, played
it smart and (Kevin) Harvick was really fast like I said before. We came home second. It was a good day for the
Miccosukee Toyota Tundra. We gained from last year. (Kevin) Harvick whooped our butt pretty bad last year but we
gained on it a little bit. If we had another gain like that we probably would be able to keep up with him or win.”

Did you feel like Kevin Harvick had a big advantage over you?

“It wasn’t bad, it was about what I expected. I expected the 4 (Kevin Harvick) truck to be really, really good in which he
was. I guess he wasn’t driving in the beginning of the race. He was just holding back seeing what everybody had. Our
truck was good. We made a gain on it from last year to this year distancewise from (Kevin) Harvick. Harvick was just
stupid fast last year. This year I felt like we made a gain. If we can make another one of those gains next year then we’ll be
right on him. Overall, the Miccosukee Tundra was good. We led some laps and tried to go for the win but just didn’t quite
have enough on those restarts there.”

Do you think the 51 truck has a chance at winning the owner’s championship next weekend?

“I can’t close the gap, I’ve got to take that gap. They’re going to race next week hard as ever. They’re going to go and try
to win the race. That’s going to be the plan. They’ve got the driver’s championship locked up so if they go out there and
try to win the race and are successful at that then we can’t catch them. But if they go out there and try to win the race and
have problems by having issues whether it’s a wreck or engine or a tire – it could be anything. That’s why we race races.
Hopefully we can battle it out and have a good, strong run and see if we can’t beat them. Sixty points, I don’t know how
many spots that is but I take it that it’s probably 17 or so. So it’s going to be hard to do.”

Aric Almirola

ARIC ALMIROLA, No. 15 Graceway Pharmaceuticals Toyota Tundra, Billy Ballew Motorsports

Finishing Position: 3rd

How did your truck handle during the race?

“We had a good truck. Doug George (crew chief) and everybody on this AK Awareness.com Tundra did a really good job.
I don’t know what it’s going to take to get one of these ones. It’s not for a lack of effort. I can promise you that.
Everybody is racing their hearts out. Our truck just wasn’t very good on short runs and for whatever reason that last set of
tires didn’t take off very good for us. It was really tight – that last set of tires. We chattered the right front for quite a while
and just couldn’t ever take off.”

How was your race tonight?

“It was a fun race tonight. The race track widened out. You could run two-wide pretty good. The bottom lane was
definitely preferred but you could move around. It was a good race. I’m just still disappointed, man, I want to get one of
these wins some kind of bad. We tried, we raced our butts off and we came home third. That was what we had tonight.”

Was your truck better on the short or long runs tonight?

“It wasn’t very good on short runs. We struggled yesterday on short runs, too, in practice and for whatever reason it just
wouldn’t take off. We chattered the right front, chattered the right front and finally it would come in and take off and it
would go pretty good. I’m really proud of everybody at Billy Ballew Motorsports. Doug George (crew chief) and all of the
guys on this AK Awareness Tundra have been doing a great job. We just came up short. I’m going to win one of these
races one of these days. We just keep coming up short but it’s not for lack of effort.”

How has your team progressed over the season?

“Our team has really stepped their game up. We bring trucks to the race track every single weekend and they’re capable of
winning and I think we’ve proved that. Talladega we ran one-two and unfortunately I was second. Texas we had a top-
five, top-three truck and I lost power steering about lap 35 and then here again we had another good truck and led laps and
ran upfront but just couldn’t seem to seal the deal. I’m very proud of everything that everybody’s got going on at Billy
Ballew Motorsports.

I’m very happy that Graceway Pharmaceuticals have come onboard and helped us get through the end
of the year, but the Gods honest truth about next year, I have no clue. Last year, two years ago, I probably would’ve felt
like a little bit of an outcast and felt like the minority going to Homestead next week and not having any idea what I’m
doing next year but for whatever the case may be whether it’s the economy, whether it’s just people not sure of what’s
going on, I really feel like the majority. It seems like half of the garage in all three series are really unsure on their 2010
plans. There’s a lot of uncertainty going into next year and I just seem to be a part of that.”

Mike Skinner

MIKE SKINNER, No. 5 Exide Batteries Toyota Tundra, Randy Moss Motorsports

Finishing Position: 6th

Were you not feeling well during tonight’s race at Phoenix?

“I got the creeping crud. It started a couple of days ago and my doctor has got me on all kinds of antibiotics and Prednisone
and everything else to try to keep me alive so I could run this race. Our Exide Tundra was awfully, awfully loose. I don’t
know what happened to the truck I had yesterday. After the race, Eric (Phillips, crew chief) told me he freed it up this
morning and didn’t tell me about it. We need to communicate a little better on stuff like that. Once he got it tightened back
up, I wish I could have started the race like I ended the race because I think we probably could have gotten a few more
spots.”

Did being sick tonight make this a difficult race?

“Yeah, any time you’re sick, your focus is off and your reactions are off. I was burning up hot one second and freezing cold
the next. My nose is running all down my mouth – it’s just not pretty when you’re sick. That’s why drivers make more
than mechanics because we have to be able to do that and we have to play hurt sometimes.”

MIKE BLISS, No. 25 Harris Trucking Toyota Tundra, HT Motorsports

Finishing Position: 7th

How was your race?

“It was alright, it was kind of uneventful. We took four (tires) at first and then we took two at the end. We were kind of
just sliding around at the end, but this place is always like that the last 50 laps. It never goes that long. We kind of counted
on that. It was a good run. I’m really happy I got to run this Toyota Tundra and it was a good solid run for us.”

David Starr

DAVID STARR, No. 24 Zachry Toyota Tundra, HT Motorsports

Finishing Position: 9th

Are you disappointed with your finish tonight?

“I am. We keep working hard. We didn’t have the best truck tonight. Our Zachry Toyota Tundra was just okay. We got it
better towards that second practice yesterday. Jason Miller, our crew chief, found something. It just wasn’t where it needed
to be. We had some great pit stop strategy and with a lot of heart and hard work, we never gave up. We came out with a
decent finish. Top-10s is a good thing, but we shoot for a lot better than that.”

What do you think about both HT Motorsports Tundras being in the top 10?

“That’s a good thing. That’s what we shoot for, we want both trucks in the top five and top 10. It was good to see us both
right there close to each other. We just needed to be a little bit further up the pecking charts. Not bad for a seventh and
ninth but we’re definitely working harder to get closer to that number one spot. With the way our truck was handling and
everything we had to fight against, it was almost like a win for us. You never get enough until you win these races, so we’ll
just keep striving and working hard to do that and that’s what we’re going to keep doing.”

Germain Racing’s No. 30 Copart Tundra team has assembled a string of finishes, kicked off by a victory in 2005, that are a clear indicator of the work that the team has put into its short track program. Driver Todd Bodine won in 2005 driving the No. 30 for Germain Racing, and has finished no worse than sixth since that effort.

“We are proud of our win at Phoenix and our record, but we probably should have had a couple wins there. We always seem to have a good setup for our No. 30 Copart Tundra there. Phoenix is one of those tracks where a driver can make a big difference because the track is so different from end to end,” said Bodine, who aside from a tire issue in his first visit to PIR has not finished worse than 6th since winning there in 2005.

Bodine usually plans a small vacation around the Phoenix race weekend.

“We try to go to Sedona. There’s a casino there we like to go to, and we visit with some friends and just enjoy the Phoenix area. It’s a pretty neat place,” said Bodine.

While Phoenix isn’t credited as being one of the short tracks on the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series schedule, the track is treated a lot like a short track by crew chiefs preparing for the event and Bodine confirms that it drives like a short track.

“Phoenix is a mile, but it’s a flat track. It definitely drives like a short track. You slow down in the corners and use some brake,” said Bodine.

Crew chief Mike Hillman Jr. is bringing Tundra chassis TRD-122 to Phoenix. The truck last raced at Gateway. This year it also raced at Michigan and Iowa.

“We want the Copart Tundra to be up front at Phoenix, and we think this truck is the best race truck for the job. We’ll work a lot on handling in practice, but it will be with Todd choosing his preferred line around the race track. We’ll put in a setup that works best with that line, then, throughout the race, the Copart Tundra pit crew can make adjustments to improve the truck but Todd can also make adjustments by changing his line on the race track,” said Hillman.

Racing action at Phoenix International Raceway starts at 8:00 PM Eastern on Friday, November 13th, with qualifying earlier Friday afternoon at 4:30 PM Eastern. Watch the 150 Laps/150 miles of racing in the Lucas Oil 150 on SPEED or tune in to your local MRN affiliate.

When he crossed the start/finish line to complete lap one of the scheduled 94 laps, he’d moved into third place. Bodine again found himself in third when the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race concluded following a thrilling 98 laps of racing. Bodine would’ve loved to get his crew and the Copart Tundra another Talladega win, but he is very proud of the effort that went into the third-place finish that helped Toyota clinch another manufacturer’s title.

“This No. 30 Tundra team got used to winning for sure. We made the right move. We had a great Copart Tundra and made the right move at the end and got the lead. We just didn’t have a teammate or drafting partner. Kyle (Busch) had his teammate right behind him,” said Bodine of the race results that played out as the field raced down the front-stretch toward the checkered flag.

Bodine was asked if there was anything else he could’ve done differently in the final laps of the race that would’ve allowed him to stretch out his winning streak at Talladega. The 2006 Truck Series champ felt he did the best he could.

“I could have blocked Kyle coming to the checkers, but I didn’t want to be like Carl Edwards and end up in the catch fence. With Kyle, that’s what would have happened – he’s a racer and you can’t blame him for that,” said Bodine, who alluded to the hair-raising finish of the spring Cup Series race at Talladega.

The third-place finish of the Copart Tundra was part of an all-Toyota top-five at Talladega with Tundra’s finishing first through fifth. The effort helped Toyota win their fourth consecutive manufacturer’s title in the Truck Series – a streak that came to life when Germain Racing earned the series championship in 2006.

“Our Germain Copart Tundra was fast. It was again the best truck and it drove fantastic. We just ended up third. There’s nothing you can do but be happy with it. We had a good day and we’re happy to be part of Toyota clinching another manufacturer’s championship,” said Bodine.

Bodine led Saturday’s race four times for a total of 24 laps. He found himself working back through the field only once, after an uncharacteristic mishap on pit road.

“I spun out on pit road and had to restart at the back of the leaders. As soon as the caution was over, we made it right back to the front, that’s how good our Copart Tundra was today,” said Bodine, of the pit road spin that followed a four-tire pit stop while the field was under caution for the third time at lap 40.

After 22 races in the 2009 Truck Series season, Bodine is fourth in point standings. Next up for the No. 30 team is Texas Motor Speedway on Friday night, November 6th. Watch the action live on SPEED.

Post-Race Notes & Quotes

Talladega Superspeedway – October 31, 2009

- Kyle Busch was victorious in Saturday’s NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) race at Talladega Superspeedway. Busch led 10 of 98 laps at the 2.66-mile Alabama oval en route to victory lane.

- The win enabled Toyota to clinch its fourth consecutive NCWTS manufacturer’s title (2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009).

- Aric Almirola (second), Todd Bodine (third), Terry Cook (fourth) and David Starr (fifth) also recorded top-five results in Tundras, the first time since April 2006 (St. Louis) that Toyota has swept the top-five positions in an NCWTS event.

- Tundra drivers Stacy Compton (seventh), Timothy Peters (11th), Mike Skinner (19th), Max Papis (22nd), Brian Scott (23rd), Tayler Malsam (27th) and T.J. Bell (29th) were also in the field.

- Five Tundra drivers are among the top-10 in the unofficial NCWTS point standings — Skinner (third), Bodine (fourth), Scott (sixth), Peters (seventh) and Starr (ninth) – with three races remaining in the 2009 season.

Kyle Busch wins the Mountain Dew 250 fueled by Fred’s at Talladega Superspeedway

KYLE BUSCH, No. 51 Miccosukee Resorts Toyota Tundra, Billy Ballew Motorsports

Finishing Position: 1st

How did the final lap of the race feel?

“That just happened – unbelievable. I owe everything to Aric Almirola today. Sticking with me from that last pit stop to the end, I told him if he just stayed with me they wouldn’t be able to beat the 15 (Almirola) and 51 (Busch). Awesome job to Aric (Almirola), he can take my half of the pay after today. I don’t get paid anything. I don’t know what Billy Ballew will work out with him. What an awesome truck – this Miccosukee Tundra was great today.

The guys did an awesome job building it. You can only go as fast as what it’s built from the shop so obviously a lot of work went into this thing. Toyota clinched the manufacturer’s championship – that’s awesome. Thank NOS Energy Drink, thank the fans – it was a lot of fun today. There was a few moments that maybe got a hairy and a little sketchy, but overall it worked out in the end for us so that’s awesome.”

What were you able to say to Aric Almirola in the closing laps of the race?

“I need a more private channel so not everybody hears it. Basically, I had to tell him just the ways that I’ve been here in the past. Last year I got beat. The first year I was horrible. We won’t go there, I think I was eighth or ninth, made a lot of mistakes. Last year I saved a lot of that till the end of the race and didn’t quite get in the position that I needed to be in. Today, I had Aric (Almirola) behind me who really helped me and being able to just talk through him and telling him what to do – if we just stayed together. The biggest patience in this race, I know it was 94 laps today, but there was 93 laps of patience and a one lap free for all that wins this thing. Aric (Almirola) did an awesome job.”

Were you worried that you were making your final move too late?

“No because I wasn’t yet to the 30 (Todd Bodine) – I wasn’t sure of what direction I needed to go, I wasn’t sure if he was going to block. I sort of started up high slow to see if he would. Aric (Almirola) was bumping me there so I didn’t want to be too jerky on the wheel and spin myself out on his truck. I just pulled up nice and smooth and Todd (Bodine) held his line and we just went around the outside of him. I was kind of surprised by that, but I guess he learned from my own mistake at Daytona, when you try to move up in front of a train that’s coming – you’re going to wreck. We’ve seen that the last few times here, Carl (Edwards) tried to do the same thing with the 09 (Brad Keselowski) or whatever. I guess when you’re the leader coming down towards the stretch you’re better off to just hold your line and take what you’re going to get.”

How much did bump drafting play a role in today’s race?

“It definitely played a role because you never know how close you are to NASCAR’s line of going over of being too aggressive. Earlier in the race the 30 (Todd Bodine) and the 25 (Terry Cook) were teamed up pushing each other down the backstretch and the 25 (Cook) got crossed up getting into turn three and they gave him a warning. Then five laps later, he’s doing it again – all the way down the backstretch. You can bump draft is fine, apparently, but push drafting is what the problem is. I don’t know if there needs to be a new term laid out there, but I think I just did it. The push draft is the problem and that happened a couple times today.

I never did it – I was bump drafting the five (Mike Skinner) when we were getting up towards the front. I would always bump him, get off him, bump him, get off him – it would help the row along, but it wasn’t like two trucks get teamed up together and just push draft all the way around the track. I don’t know where that line is. I don’t know – you warn a guy once and he does it again and you don’t post him or don’t do anything about it then what’s the penalty. Apparently everybody was supposed to be warned in the driver’s meeting, but I guess you can still get warnings out on the race track. It’s a hard situation to understand, but Aric (Almirola) and I, we saved it for the last lap, from turn four on to the start-finish. I think we played it out nicely.”

What would you like to see NASCAR do about ‘push-drafting?’

“What I would like to see is if NASCAR issues the warning in the driver’s meeting tomorrow then that’s your warning. If you do it and cross their line, their aggressive driving line they’ve got, if you go over that then I would like to see a drive through penalty – you get posted, black-flagged, drive through penalty. Then you have to come down and do your penalty. How long can you push a guy? On the Cup side, Denny (Hamlin) has actually been practicing that in practice the past few years here. His time is two laps – he can push a guy for two complete, full laps and then he starts to get about 250 degrees on water temp, which is about too high.”

What is the difference between a ‘bump-draft’ and a ‘push-draft?’

“You don’t really want to push or bump draft through the corners, that’s the thing. Here you can get away with doing it because there’s so much grip. The push draft, when you get up on a guy and just start pushing him and you start picking his speed up, you actually start lifting him up off the race track and the back of the truck is just sort of sliding around. It’s like a wheel barrel, you’re just up on the front two tires like you’re just steering it like that. The bump draft, if it’s gentle enough, if you’re not Juan Pablo Montoya and just plow a guy and if you just bump a guy, you can keep that row going. It’s just little bumps, it doesn’t lift your tires off the ground, it doesn’t do anything and it gives that guy a sense. When you bump them straight on, he might have to move the wheel a little bit, but he’s not chasing the back of his truck all around when he’s getting a push draft. He just gets a bump, figures it out and he’s back on the ground. It happens quick enough where everything settles out.”

Finishing Position: 2nd

How was your race today?

“It was a good race, it was fun. We had a good truck. I’m real proud of Doug George (crew chief) and all the guys on this team. Everybody at Billy Ballew Motorsports did a great job and worked really hard. We had two awesome speedway trucks and it showed today. There were not very many people that could hang with us (Kyle Busch) when we got together and we proved that a couple times throughout the race. We tried not to show our cards too much in the beginning. It paid off and it was a one-two finish for Billy Ballew – I just wanted to be one bad.”

What did it mean when Kyle Busch drove down pit road to thank you?

“It meant the world. As hard as it is to win these races, he’s won a lot of them and he knows that it was a team effort today. Congratulations to Billy Ballew in his 300th start in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and he got a one-two finish so that’s pretty awesome for him.”

Was bump drafting getting out of hand for a truck race?

“In the beginning of the race, Todd (Bodine) was behind me and I was behind the six (Colin Braun) and I never touched the six, Todd (Bodine) never touched me and we were just cruising around, just riding. I was riding seriously half to three- quarters throttle just to make sure that I didn’t run into the back of the six (Braun). 30 laps into the race, all of the sudden I was getting slammed from the back. It was for no reason really, we weren’t going anywhere. The guy in front of me wasn’t going to go any faster from me slamming into him. A couple times I actually burned the brakes up, the brakes went all the way to the floor board just to keep from running over the people in front of me. If we knocked our grill and our duct work in, then we had to come in to take tape off then we surely weren’t going to have a shot to win. I think people were really aggressive and didn’t need to be.”

Todd Bodine, No. 30 Copart Toyota Tundra

TODD BODINE, No. 30 Copart Toyota Tundra, Germain Racing

Finishing Position: 3rd

Are you disappointed with a third-place finish?

“We got used to winning for sure. We made the right move – we had a great truck and made the right move at the end and got the lead. We just didn’t have a teammate. Kyle (Busch) had his teammate right behind him. I could have blocked him coming to the checkers, but I didn’t want to be like Carl Edwards and end up in the catch fence. With Kyle (Busch), that’s what would have happened – he’s a racer and you can’t blame him for that. It was a great day for Billy Ballew Motorsports with a one-two finish. Our Germain Copart Tundra was fast, it was again the best truck and it drove fantastic. We just ended up third. There’s nothing you can do but be happy with it and we had a good day.”

Was bump drafting getting out of hand for a truck race?

“This is my one chance to speak so I’m going to speak a little bit here. They need to do something with the Cup cars, the Nationwide cars and the trucks with the bump drafting – everybody knows it, everybody said it. It’s getting out of control with the Cup cars with guys hitting each other in the corners, spinning each other out. It’s a simple solution – brace the back bumpers up as hard as you can brace them. You ought to see the back bumper in my truck – it’s like a Mack Truck bumper. The next thing you do is you take the bumper out of the front so if you hit somebody, you hit them with fiberglass. I’m not going to hit somebody with fiberglass and mess my aerodynamics up so what’s that do? It stops everybody from bump drafting, it’s a simple solution.”

Terry Cook

TERRY COOK, No. 25 Cajun Industries Toyota Tundra, HT Motorsports

Finishing Position: 4th

What happened to your truck early in the race?

“We were losing horsepower so we had to come in and work on it and every we were taping the air box and got it double- nutted so then we were able to fix that. Then we blew up the transmission with about 14 laps to go and it was spitting rear end grease out, smoking inside the truck. We had just about everything go wrong that you could and still come out with a top-five finish. This is a big day for Harris Trucking — to have two trucks in the top-five – that’s a big weekend. I wish I wouldn’t have had to come from the back because we had a horse.”

David Starr

DAVID STARR, No. 24 Zachry Toyota Tundra, HT Motorsports

Finishing Position: 5th

What was your strategy in the closing laps?

“We were trying to do the right thing, I was thinking of which way I should go and who I should go with. Going from second to fifth is a little disappointing, but a top-five for HT Motorsports and Terry Cook did a heck of a job. I should have jumped up to the high side, but you second-guess yourself and if I would have jumped up to the high side then they would have gone to the bottom. Then I would have finished a little further back. It was a great race – our Zachery Toyota Tundra was awesome. All the guys did a heck of a job and I can’t thank them enough.”

Post-Qualifying Notes & Quotes

Talladega Superspeedway – October 30, 2009

TERRY COOK, No. 25 Cajun Industries Toyota Tundra, HT Motorsports

Starting Position: 2nd

How was your qualifying lap?

“We’re very pleased with the Harris Trucking / Cajun Industries Toyota Tundra. It was good. On the chassis dyno and the wind
tunnel, if they tell you anything, they tell you you’ve got a pretty truck. We spent a lot of time with this truck, rubbing on it and
made sure that it not only qualified good, but really, ultimately raced well. So far, the qualifying part is coming true and
hopefully it will race well tomorrow.”

What do you think of the rule changes announced for 2010?

“Thank you. That is it, thank you. It’s been a long time coming. The rule changes, I think NASCAR did a great job in making sure
the teams could feasibly get through the season so I applaud them for that. The pit stop rules that we had where you fuel one time
and then tires on the next, I think it just confused everybody, confused the drivers. I think we opened ourselves up to getting
somebody hurt, whether it be a track worker on the track or crew members on pit road. Going back to the format and now we have
figured out a way to where it’s going to be six people over the wall so that saves us the cost of one person, instead of the Cup or
Nationwide that have seven, so that’s going to help a bunch.

The new engine rule where we have to run a sealed motor every two races instead of every three is going to help a bunch. Really excited about the outlook of the Truck Series going forward and as you mentioned, having been here for as many starts as I’ve had, I’ve seen the Truck Series go through a lot of changes and I applaud NASCAR for making this change.

The double-file restarts, I first saw that in Phoenix in the Camping World West Series back in April and I thought it was just great side-by-side racing. I was excited when it got introduced into the Nationwide and Cup series, but was disappointed that they didn’t do it in the Truck Series around Indianapolis race weekend. Knowing that going forward we’re going to have double-file restarts, I’m excited about that as well. I applaud all their changes. Personally, I think it was a little overdue, I was looking for all these changes about mid-season this year, but glad to see they are taking the initiative to where we
will have them next year.”

MAX PAPIS, No. 13 GEICO Toyota Tundra, Germain Racing

Starting Position: 3rd

How much are you looking forward to tomorrow’s race with such a good qualifying run?

“The GEICO Toyota was just great — it drove by itself. We did a lot of work to make it a little faster and the guys in the shop,
they’re just amazing. It’s as much of a team effort as it can be. When you come to a place like this I think you need to maximize
the length of the bolt in the truck. I guess they did it all and it’s proven to work. It might have been facilitated a bit by starting in
the back, but you need to put up the number and we did it so we’re happy. This is a big thing for me, especially since it’s the second
time for me at Talladega. Just let me enjoy what it means to be in the top-five because it’s just huge. I know it’s only qualifying,
but I just like to enjoy every second of it.”

ARIC ALMIROLA, No. 15 Graceway Pharmaceuticals/AKawareness.com Toyota Tundra, Billy Ballew Motorsports

Starting Position: 5th

Are you happy with your qualifying lap?

“I’m really pleased with that. We go to these restrictor plate races all the time and we watch the 30 (Todd Bodine), as far as
Toyotas go, outrun us. He’s won the last four of them. I think that’s pretty good for us, let alone just to be able to outrun him in
qualifying. Qualifying doesn’t mean a whole lot here. We practiced real well, we got a good race truck, so I’m excited for
tomorrow.”

TODD BODINE, No. 30 Copart Toyota Tundra, Germain Racing

Starting Position: 6th

How was your qualifying effort?

“I got a lot of excuses. I had a headwind down the front straightaway, and a flock of geese flew in front of me in front of the back
and messed the air all up and slowed me way down. It’s Talladega. It doesn’t matter where you start. It’s how good your truck
drives, how good it drives in the draft. This truck has won the last four speedway races and it drives awesome. We actually even
made it a little better this morning with a couple things. I think the Copart Tundra is going to be just fine. It’s great to have the
pole, but that doesn’t get the big check and the big trophy.”

Does your starting position at Talladega affect your strategy?

“If you’re way back, yeah, you have to look at it a little differently. I don’t even know what I ran, but we’ll be close to 10th or
something and that’s close enough to the front. Just find a hole and just wait around for the end and see what you got. Make some
adjustments and go from there. I’ve started like 28th here before and 10 laps was leading. If you do the right things in the draft and
you make the right moves, it’s not a big deal. I’m not really worried about it.”

TAYLER MALSAM, No. 81 One Eighty Toyota Tundra, Randy Moss Motorsports

Starting Position: 8th

How was your truck in practice?

“It was awesome. This Randy Moss team did an awesome job giving me a good truck. Same one as we brought to Daytona and
we had a lot of fun with it. It should be a good race. Drafting here is so much different than Daytona. It’s so much more smooth
and it’s a lot more fun, that’s for sure.”

How much fun is it to learn drafting techniques from the veterans?

“I like it a lot, especially following Mike (Skinner) or (Ron) Hornaday and those guys, because I can follow them up through the
track and see where their lines go and how they like to run. It’s a lot of fun and I’m very fortunate to have Mike (Skinner) as a
teammate, especially if we qualify near each other today.”

STACY COMPTON, No. 60 SafeAuto Insurance / Melling Engine Parts Toyota Tundra, Wyler Racing

Starting Position: 9th

KYLE BUSCH, No. 51 Miccosukee Resorts Toyota Tundra, Billy Ballew Motorsports

Starting Position: 10th

MIKE SKINNER, No. 5 PC Miler Navigator Toyota Tundra, Randy Moss Motorsports

Starting Position: 11th

How was your truck in qualifying?

“That’s the first qualifying run that we’ve done and our PC Miler Navigator Toyota Tundra is driving very, very good today. I think
it’ll race pretty good. I don’t think we’re the cream of the crop, by any means, but if we catch the right draft there towards the end, I think we can finish well.”

How sensitive are the trucks to who you’re drafting with?

“It’s not so much how sensitive the trucks are, it’s how you react to what the drivers are gonna do. We were talking about that
earlier. Over in the Cup (Series) side, you’re drafting with certain people and you say, ‘He’s gonna do one of three or four things.’
You can kind of narrow it down. There’s been a couple of them I was riding around out there with today, there might be 10
different things, or eight different things. I’m like, ‘Wow, why did he do that?’ It’s just the experience level with those guys over
there. They’re a little bit more seasoned as far as drafting goes. You gotta be a little bit aware. You can’t take it for granted, what
the guy in front of your or beside you is gonna do over here.”

He worked his way to the lead following an excellent round of pit stops. He led the race twice for a total of 45 laps and was very confident in second place during the closing laps of the 150 lap race that he could pass the leader to take the win. The strong performance of the Copart Tundra, Copart crew and driver Todd Bodine was hampered with a part failure just five laps from the end of the race. Bodine finished 16th and maintained fourth-place in the championship standings.

“Well, the Copart Tundra was a good truck. We did everything right and that thing was hauling the mail. It’s been 15 or 20 years since I’ve seen a rear end gear break, except for Martinsville (because that is a track) that’s hard on them. You just don’t break rear end gears, so it was actually a part failure that took away our chance to win with the Copart Tundra at Kentucky,” explained Bodine, who has two wins this season to add to his total Truck Series win count of 17. “We were in a position to win and I really think there at the end we were going to beat Hornaday. I got a run on him right when the gear broke and I never could complete the run. We definitely would’ve had a shot at putting the Copart Tundra in victory lane.”

Throughout the night, the Copart Tundra crew was relentless in pursuit of victory. During the first round of pit stops, the pit crew earned two key positions, then, in the final round of pit stops, the crew pulled off a four-tire stop that kept the Copart Tundra in position with the trucks that had pitted for only two fresh tires. The gains weren’t made from tricky pit strategy, just solid performances by the Copart Tundra crew.

“I think tonight was our night to win at Kentucky Speedway. The Copart Tundra was nearly perfect and our pit crew pulled off incredible stops, as usual, on pit road. Everything seemed to be in our favor. We’ll carry the momentum of all the things that went right tonight when we head into Indianapolis for Friday night’s race at O’Reilly Raceway Park,” said crew chief Mike Hillman Jr.

As Todd Bodine raced through the final three restarts in the last 20 laps from fourth-position and second-position, he saw a mix of young rookies and hungry NASCAR veterans in a slugfest for the Kentucky win. Bodine saw great racing and hoped the Truck Series fans enjoyed the competition.

“At the end of the race, the guys are racing hard, jumping around, and to go fast you’ve got to be loose – that’s just racing here at Kentucky. I thought those guys had done a good job all night so I wasn’t worried about them at all. Taylor (Malsam) has really come along as a driver and Aric’s (Almirola) not a rookie by any means. It was a good race. I think the fans got their money’s worth,” said Bodine, who finished 16th while Ron Hornaday Jr. earned the race win.

Kentucky Speedway was Todd Bodine’s last race in the Copart Challenge of Champions until the finale at Talladega Superspeedway when Bodine and Hornaday will go head-to-head on the high banks of the Alabama track. After Kentucky, Bodine leads the Copart Challenge racing points portion of the program. Register your vote for Todd Bodine to win the Copart Challenge of Champions and you could win exciting prizes.
The Truck Series is in action next at O’Reilly Raceway Park in Indianapolis, IN. Trucks practice, qualify and race on Friday, July 24th. Watch SPEED for the fantastic bumping and banging of one of the toughest short tracks on the Truck Series schedule.

Post-Race Notes & Quotes

Kentucky Speedway – July 18, 2009

- Mike Skinner (second) was the highest-finishing Toyota driver in Saturday’s NASCAR Camping World Truck Series
(NCWTS) at Kentucky Speedway.

- Tundra drivers Timothy Peters (fourth), Aric Almirola (fifth), Brian Scott (sixth) and David Starr (ninth) also posted top-
10 finishes on Saturday.

- Toyota drivers Stacy Compton (12th), Tayler Malsam (13th), Terry Cook (15th), Todd Bodine (16th), Brian Ickler (21st)
and T.J. Bell (23rd) were also in the field.

- Six Tundra drivers currently are in the top-10 in the NCWTS unofficial driver point standings, including Skinner (third),
Bodine (fourth), Scott (fifth), Starr (sixth), Malsam (seventh) and Cook (eighth).

MIKE SKINNER, No. 5 Exide Toyota Tundra, Randy Moss Motorsports

Finishing Position: 2nd

How was that finish?

“I don’t wish bad luck on anybody but we didn’t have a second-place truck. We had a good truck – one more lap and we
might have had a first-place truck. I really hate it for Tayler (Malsam), the 81 truck ran up front all night and that young man
did a heck of a job. I hate it for Todd (Bodine) that he had an oil leak or something there. We finished second, we have to try
to stay in the game.”

Did where you start tonight’s race have an effect on your finish?

“Ronnie (Hornaday) did a good job. I think one more lap and we might have had him, might have been able to challenge him
a little bit right there. Man I hate for Tayler Malsam, he had a good truck tonight. Both the Randy Moss Motorsports trucks
did a good job. We got stuck back there from qualifying and it kind of messed us up. I want to thank the fans, I want to thank
Exide – everybody just came along. I want to thank Toyota. Triad put a good body on this truck. I just hate it – doggone it,
we were close.”

How do you grade your team so far in 2009?

“For the budget that we’ve had and the amount of people that we’ve had with the resources – Toyota does an awesome job and
these Triad engines – man they’re just awesome. Eric Phillips (crew chief) and David Dollar (co-owner), they have done a
heck of a lot with a little bit.”

TIMOTHY PETERS, No. 17 Strutmasters Toyota Tundra, Red Horse Racing

Finishing Position: 4th

How was your race tonight?

“It was a good night for us. Our Strutmasters Red Horse Toyota Tundra was awesome all night long. We had a couple
issues on the race track and got a little fender damage but all-in-all it was a good night.”

What happened to your truck in the final laps?

“I thought we were a goner but that was luck, it wasn’t talent – that was luck. I don’t know if the 81 (Tayler Malsam)
spotter didn’t tell him that I was there or not but he got into our right front corner and it did a little fender damage to it and
then when we got behind the 88 (Matt Crafton), I think we were better than him but just got aero-tight. We salvaged a good
run.”

ARIC ALMIROLA, No. 15 Red Top Auto Auction Toyota Tundra, Billy Ballew Motorsports

Finishing Position: 5th

Did those late race restarts take you out of contention for the win?

“We were both good, we both took two tires on that pit stop. We knew that clean air would be important and when we took
off on that restart and we were leading that clean air was really important. We were driving away and the caution came out
there and the caution after caution, after caution really hurt us. We only had two tires and everybody around us had four.”

BRIAN SCOTT, No. 16 Albertsons Toyota Tundra, Xpress Motorsports

Finishing Position: 6th

What was tonight’s race like for you?

“We were really good at the start. We had an awesome truck — we must have just hit a piece of debris or something and cut
a tire. It really put us behind and damaged our truck — it knocked our toe all to hell. The guys did an awesome job on pit
road to get us back in the game and get positioning. Ultimately we leave here with as best a finish – I think we could have
finished fifth but probably no more. It’s a tough day. We have to get luck on our side, that’s about the only place we could
improve right now.”

DAVID STARR, No. 24 Harris Trucking/Zachry Toyota Tundra, HT Motorsports

Finishing Position: 9th

STACY COMPTON, No. 60 SafeAuto Insurance Toyota Tundra, Wyler Racing

Finishing Position: 12th

TAYLER MALSAM, No. 81 One-Eighty Toyota Tundra, Randy Moss Motorsports

Finishing Position: 13th

TERRY COOK, No. 25 Harris Trucking/Cajun Industries Toyota Tundra, HT Motorsports

Finishing Position: 15th

TODD BODINE, No. 30 Copart Toyota Tundra, Germain Racing

Finishing Position: 16th

How was your race tonight?

“The Copart Tundra was a good truck. We did everything right and that thing was hauling the mail. It’s been 15 or 20 years
since I’ve seen a rear-end gear break, except for Martinsville that’s hard on them. You just don’t break rear-end gears so it
was actually a part failure that took away our chance to win at Kentucky.

We had a good truck — we did everything we were
supposed to do. We were in a position to win and I really think there at the end we were going to beat (Ron) Hornaday. I got
a run on him right when the gear broke and I never could complete the run. We definitely would’ve had a shot at putting the
Copart Tundra in victory lane (if not for the part failure).”

Were the restarts wild tonight?

“At the end of the race guys are racing hard, jumping around, and to go fast you’ve got to be loose – that’s just racing here at
Kentucky. I thought those guys had done a good job all night so I wasn’t worried about them at all. Tayler (Malsam) has
really come along as a driver and Aric’s (Almirola) not a rookie by any means – it’s a shame what happened to the 51 (Brian
Ickler) but it was a good race. I think the fans got their money’s worth.”

BRIAN ICKLER, No. 51 Red Top Auto Auction Toyota Tundra, Billy Ballew Motorsports

Finishing Position: 21st

What happened to take you out of the race?

“The 15 (Aric Almirola) spun his tires and it definitely wasn’t his fault – he’s my teammate. It got to be so rough on the
outside that he spun his tires and helped the 81 (Tayler Malsam) and I went low to avoid them. I backed out of the throttle.
Didn’t really pass him, they said I did, gave it back and they still penalized us and put us in the back.

I was trying to get to
the front in a hurry but take our time. Two trucks wrecked off of (turn) two and I came down and t-boned one of them. It’s
just one of those things. I think NASCAR knows they were wrong but what are you going to do, we’re at their mercy and
we’ll go get them next time. We tore up a really good truck tonight.”

T.J. BELL, No. 11 Red Horse Racing Toyota Tundra, Red Horse Racing

Of those wins, 10 have been at 1.5-mile tracks like Kentucky Speedway. While Bodine has a win in the NASCAR Nationwide Series at Kentucky, he is still looking to break into the Sparta, KY, track’s Truck Series Victory Lane ceremony with his No. 30 Copart Tundra.

“I enjoy going to Kentucky Speedway. I have always enjoyed the race track and the fans at Kentucky are great,” said Bodine, the 2006 Truck Series champion. “We run well at Kentucky but we need to get the monkey off our back and run a whole race there without a (major issue). If we can do that, I know we can get a top-three in the Copart Tundra and with a little good luck, we can get a win. There’s no reason we can’t get it done.”

While Bodine’s 86.6 “Driver Rating” for Kentucky Speedway’s Truck Series action ranks him tenth according to NASCAR’s Loop Data Statistics, Bodine far outranks his fellow Truck Series competitors in the passing category. He leads all drivers with 174 green flag passes. Crew chief Mike Hillman Jr. discusses the irony in leading the passing statistics.

“Kentucky is a mile and a half track that should be in our ‘win’ category. Our mile and a half program has always been strong here at Germain Racing and our trucks at Kentucky have lived up to that reputation. We have passed a lot of other trucks which shows that we are plenty fast there. Unfortunately, we’ve passed those trucks because we’ve suffered problems and have had to use up laps fighting to recover from those problems,” explained Hillman Jr.

Bodine will race Kentucky in chassis TRD-124 which debuted for the No. 30 team at Kentucky last year and has since earned a victory at Texas Motor Speedway wearing Copart colors.

Post-Race Notes & Quotes

Memphis Motorsports Park – June 20, 2009

- Brian Scott (second) was the highest-finishing Toyota driver in Saturday’s NASCAR Camping World Truck Series
(NCWTS) at Memphis Motorsports Park. It is his second straight top-three finish — third at Milwaukee (June 20) — after
suffering a broken right wrist at Michigan (June 13).

- Scott led 20 laps in the No. 16 Albertsons Tundra for Xpress Motorsports.

- Tundra drivers David Starr (third), Aric Almirola (fourth), Mike Skinner (sixth), Timothy Peters (seventh) and Todd
Bodine (10th) also posted top-10 finishes on Saturday.

- Toyota drivers Brian Ickler (12th), Terry Cook (13th), Tayler Malsam (16th), Stacy Compton (17th), T.J. Bell (18th) and
Brent Sherman (22nd) were also in the field.

No. 16 Albertson's TOYOTA Tundra

BRIAN SCOTT, No. 16 Albertsons Toyota Tundra, Xpress Motorsports

Finishing Position: 2nd

What does this run show about your team?

“I think we showed that if we don’t have bad luck or get caught up in an accident, we’re a top-five truck week in, week out.
My hat’s off to our guys. Everybody on our Xpress Motorsports Albertson’s Toyota Tundra — they put in really hard work
and a good effort in the shop. That ultimately translates to how we showed up at a race. We unload well and we run well.
That’ just their preparation… All the guys, they just work tirelessly.

Jeff Hensley is the best crew chief when you get to a
race track. He calls a great race and he can see it through to the end. He knows our fuel mileage. He knows our pit
strategy. He has it figured out. I’m just lucky enough to go out there and drive. If I don’t screw up and we don’t have any
bad luck, we can contend for a win every week and definitely a top-five.”

Brian Scott

Do you think the lapped trucks allowed Ron Hornaday to catch and pass you?

“The lapped down trucks plagued us the whole last part of the race. When we had the lead, I had no idea where they were
going when I got to them. The lack of thinking ahead on that part. We got messed up on the 90 (Brent Sherman). I might
have been able to stay in front of (Ron) Hornaday a little bit longer. I don’t know if we could’ve beat him. He was awfully
good. I can’t adjust the brake adjuster in our trucks with my broken wrist.

It just started getting tight. We were low on fuel
so our nose-weight percentage kept picking up. I just needed to keep dialing rear brake as the run went on and wasn’t able
to do it. Ultimately, we just overused our front tires. We were sliding in the center of the corner and loose off because I
was trying to make time back up and stay in front of David (Starr). It’s unfortunate, but you can never be upset with
second.”

Was your broken wrist an issue on the final restart?

“I got a good jump on the restart and got to his (Ron Hornaday) bumper and drove in the corner right there with him.
Unfortunately, I drove in a little harder and it wouldn’t stick quite as well as his because I slid my front. Once I lost the
bottom, I was like, ‘Maybe I can get to the gas and get to his outside quarter-panel here and make a shot at him.’ He got off
the corner really well and there was nothing I could do.

I was just lucky to settle back in second and not lose second to
David (Starr). That was all I was thinking about. I knew he could at times run faster than me and at times I could run faster
than him. I was just hoping to run faster than him that last little bit. I think somebody got side-by-side with him, and that
helped me out. I was just able to hold on for second.”

Were you distracted by the heat?

“You definitely know it’s hot the whole time out there. You’re sweating, you’re doing everything you can, drinking water.
It’s not just hot for drivers. The pit crews, they’re in full uniform. The Sunoco guys, the track help, the cleanup guys, the
fans. I can’t believe all the fans that endured the heat to watch us race.

That was really cool to see. At times you look up
under caution and just before the race started and you’re like, ‘Wow, there’s a lot of people sitting in the 110-degree heat on
steel bleachers or aluminum bleachers.’ They’re hot too. It was hot for everybody, not just us. I think everybody did an
awesome job just staying hydrated and dealing with it. You try to block it out, but there’s only so much you can do.”

No. 24 Zachry Toyota Tundra

DAVID STARR, No. 24 Zachry Toyota Tundra, HT Motorsports

Finishing Position: 3rd

How encouraging is this finish for your team?

“Our Toyota Tundra, all the people at TRD (Toyota Racing Development), they’re engineering staff and being able to use
their pull-down machines and engineering stuff they give us — it’s incredible. It’s just a testament to Toyota. I have to say,
Jim Harris and this HT Motorsports team, week in and week out we have a fast Toyota Tundra. This seems like we can’t
catch a break. Last week we had a bad break at Milwaukee. We had a great truck. The weeks before then, they just didn’t
fall our way. We had a great truck. We had to pull a spring rubber out of the left rear because our truck wouldn’t rotate that
good. It was a little tight in the center. That took a little bit of time — we lost about 12 spots on pit road. We got back on
the race track and passed six or seven people. The (engine) temperature was 260 degrees… The caution came back out and
we had to come back in and take tape off it.

We had to go back to the back again. We got back on the race track and didn’t
pass them as fast as the next time. The caution came back out and my crew chief said we had to pit for fuel. I said, ‘Are
you sure?’ I was tired of going to the back. We came in. I kind of questioned my crew chief there and I apologized to him
right before we pitted. I was just frustrated because we had to keep going to the back. It ended up being a really great call
because we had a great truck. It was fun racing with Brian (Scott). I think we were both trying to save some fuel. I would
get close to him and try to get a little bit more and I’d end up messing up.

It was a great race. We had a good race going on
when I could get to him. (Ron) Hornaday was just the class of the field. Congratulations to him. It was a great day for
everybody. You can’t thank the fans enough. I looked up in the stands and saw how many people were here and I was
really proud to be part of the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series because it was pretty hot today. We did our job, we
worked hard, but I think they’re the ones that need to get all the credit because they did a great job and we appreciate their
support.”

David Starr

Did you think you had a shot at the win on the final restart?

“I tried to get a good restart. I didn’t have enough of my front end underneath Brian (Scott). It’s tough trucks, tough
drivers and a tough series. It’s tough on the race driver racing side-by-side, beating and banging, trading a little paint.
When you go in there and blatantly knock you out of the way, they’ll definitely pay you back down the road. When you do
something like that, you might take yourself out too. We race hard, that’s what this series is about, but when you blatantly
take someone out, I don’t think that’s what this series is about.

I just didn’t have enough to get my nose up in there. I
could’ve stayed in there and taken him out, but what’s the point? We’re good friends and we drive for the same
manufacturer and I might’ve taken myself out. That ain’t racing. If I couldn’t pass him hard or clean, I wasn’t going to get
the pass done. He was a little bit better than me anyways. Like (Brian Scott) said, I got in there a little hot. You try to get a
little extra, and when you do that, you put yourself in a spot to lose a spot. Just trying to drive as hard as I could and get all
I could without taking somebody out. It was a hard-fought race, but a clean race.”

Aric Almirola

ARIC ALMIROLA, No. 15 Phoenix Toyota Tundra, Billy Ballew Motorsports

Finishing Position: 4th

Have you ever raced in such hot conditions?

“Yes. The first time I ever came here to Memphis, it was just as hot. At least it was under the lights, but it was just as hot.
It makes a lot better when you have a really good truck to drive. I thank Billy Ballew (team owner) for the opportunity. It
has been a lot of fun to race this truck here with these truck guys. They race hard every lap. It’s been a lot of fun and I
can’t wait to do some more.”

Do you think you had something for the leaders at the end?

“We did the set of tires before that, but for whatever reason — I don’t know why — but this last set of tires was really up on
top of the racetrack and I had no grip at all. We missed our final adjustment there a little bit, but all in all, it was a great run.
I’m really proud of the guys. We got snookered a little bit on strategy. I didn’t realize we didn’t have to come back for gas.
To come home fourth, though, was pretty good.”

Mike Skinner

MIKE SKINNER, No. 5 Randy Moss Motorsports Toyota Tundra, Randy Moss Motorsports

Finishing Position: 6th

Do you think you had a race-winning truck tonight?
“We had a top-four, top-five Exide Batteries Toyota, but we were just racing there at the end and lost some ground. It’s
frustrating when we are on a different field to the rest of those guys that run up front every week. But overall our day wasn’t
bad. We were able to bring home a sixth-place finish and Eric (Phillips, crew chief) and all my guys on this Randy Moss
Motorsports team did a great job all day. We will take this and head to the next one in Kentucky.”

TIMOTHY PETERS, No. 17 Strutmasters Toyota Tundra, Red Horse Racing

Finishing Position: 7th

Todd Bodine, No. 30 Copart TOYOTA Tundra

TODD BODINE, No. 30 Copart Toyota Tundra, Germain Racing

Finishing Position: 10th

Can you talk about your race tonight?

“The pit stops were just incredible tonight. The Copart Tundra crew picked up spots, even after I got held up by slower trucks
coming down pit road to get into the pits. They really did a great job keeping the Copart Tundra in a good position tonight.
Our truck was definitely better at the end. Our first adjustments we made, we definitely went the wrong way. We changed it
back and went the other way and it was better. Brakes were an issue the whole race – between vibrating and having too much
rear brake. I couldn’t put more front brake bias into the truck because it made the vibration worse – it was kind of a ‘catch 22′
setup. We missed the setup a little but it was better than we’ve been here so we can’t complain.”

BRIAN ICKLER, No. 51 Miccosukee Resort Toyota Tundra, Billy Ballew Motorsports

Finishing Position: 16th

Can you talk about your race tonight?

“Our One Eighty Toyota Tundra was good for most of the day. We had brake problems during qualifying which put us to the
back for the start of the race. Doug (Wolcott, crew chief) and all of these guys worked really hard this weekend and it sucks
when you have something go wrong there in the final 10 laps of the race. But we will put this one behind us and move
forward.”

STACY COMPTON, No. 60 SafeAuto Insurance Toyota Tundra, Wyler Racing

Bodine was locked in a short-track spin cycle that put his top-ten truck in position for a 14th-place finish. NASCAR’s Loop Data statistics showed Bodine made more than 60 passes in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race. He returns to Memphis for the MemphisTravel.com 200 with the same chassis that just finished fourth at Milwaukee and hopes to make up ground in the Copart Challenge of Champions while showing Memphis fans some of the short-track racing skills he has displayed for them in the past.

“We left Milwaukee a few points behind in the Copart Challenge of Champions. We need to do better this week in Memphis,” said Bodine, the 2006 Truck Series champion who is in the Truck Series championship battle with points leader Ron Hornaday Jr., as well as a sponsorship challenge which has the two drivers racing against one another for six races.

Todd Bodine led 108 of 250 laps at Memphis in his first race there (1999, NNS). In the Truck Series, he’s missed only one lap of competition after four races there, but hasn’t had the results he and the No. 30 Copart Tundra crew are capable of getting.

“Memphis is such a challenging track because each end of the race track is so different. Turns one and two are a long, sweeping, momentum corner, then for three and four you’ve got to really slow down because it’s so sharp in the middle (of the corner),” said Bodine. “When we work on the Copart Tundra setup, it’s almost like Junior and I have to compromise on the setup of the truck and as a driver, I have to make up the difference between the setup and what the truck needs at each end of the track.”

Crew chief Mike Hillman Jr. is returning to Memphis with the same Tundra that just raced at Milwaukee and could have been a top-ten contender last year at Memphis.

“We just had a strong performance at Milwaukee with good pit stops and a decent truck. We finished fourth with this chassis, but we feel like it has more to offer. Running second, third, finishing fourth is good for many teams, but for us, it’s about being able to win. Last week we were strong, but at Memphis, we want the Copart Tundra to be the truck to beat,” said Hillman Jr.

Copart Crew Ready for Return to Memphis

“Last year, our night was filled with errors at Memphis. We came into the race with heavy hearts, knowing that Bob Germain Sr. had just passed away. We left Memphis happy to finish on the lead lap after the many things we had overcome in the 200 lap race. We could’ve been a top-ten truck last year, but we are coming back to Memphis looking for more.”
