Filed under Press Releases, Truck Series

Concord, N.C. (July 27, 2010) – Turn One Racing is pleased to announce that Long Pond, Penn. native Chase Mattioli will make his NASCAR Camping World Truck Series debut in the inaugural Pocono Mountains 125 this Saturday at Pocono Raceway, as a teammate to Stacy Compton and the No. 60 SafeAuto Insurance Chevrolet.

“We are really excited to work with another up-and-coming young talent this weekend at Pocono Raceway,” said Stacy Compton, owner of Turn One Racing. “We have had a lot of success this year with Narain Karthikeyan driving for us, and it will be great to see another young man be successful in our trucks. We have always had the intention of expanding our team to a two-truck operation and there was no better time than now to make that happen. Pocono Raceway is Chase’s home track and we are really excited about the chance to put him in top-quality equipment in front of his hometown crowd.”

“It’s a dream come true to have the opportunity to make my NASCAR Camping World Truck Series debut in Pocono’s inaugural NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race as a member of Stacy Compton’s Turn One Racing team,” Chase commented. “This weekend is going to be a great learning experience for me, and I plan to use this opportunity to learn as much as I can from the veteran drivers like Stacy, all while running a smart, clean race. I am not old enough to go to our casinos yet, so I will do my betting on the track,” Chase concluded.

Mattioli will drive the No. 64 Chevrolet Silverado in the 50-lap event at the 2.5-mile triangular track. Although his first NASCAR Camping World Truck Series start will come at the track dubbed “The Tricky Triangle”, it’s a facility that Mattioli has logged many laps. Most recently, Mattioli drove the No. 17 car for Roulo Brothers Racing in the ARCA Racing Series on June 5th where the Rookie of the Year candidate qualified 15th and ran as high as 8th before falling victim to a failed drive shaft on lap 32, resulting in a 29th place finish. Immediately after the Tuck event, Mattioli will hustle to strap into his No. 17 Roulo Brothers Racing ARCA entry.

Live television coverage of the inaugural Pocono Mountains 125 will begin at 1 p.m. ET on SPEED, with radio coverage coming to you live on select MRN affiliates and Sirius NASCAR Radio Channel 128. The Weis Markets / ARCA 125 will also be live on SPEED at 3 p.m. ET.
