Paul Menard, with a qualifying lap speed of 185.701 mph, captured the NNS Dollar General 300 Miles of Courage Coors Light Pole Award at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
This was Menard's second series pole of the 2011 season, his fourth series career pole and his first series pole at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
Taking the outside pole for the second starting position with a lap speed of 185.452 mph, will be the current series points leader, Ricky Stenhouse Jr., and he will be followed by Brad Keselowski (185.008) starting third, Joey Logano (184.849) fourth and Carl Edwards (184.363) will start fifth.
