KEVIN CONWAY, No. 7 EXTENZE TOYOTA: “Qualifying lap was really frustrating. We ran almost the exact same lap in practice and we were extremely tight in the center and we just chattered the front end all the way through the corner right there and were just incredibly tight. On a scale of 1-10 that was definitely a 10-plus. We’ve just been really struggling to just trying to get the ExtenZe Toyota to turn and its just not wanting to cooperate with us here this weekend. We’ve been battling very, very tight and hopefully we’ll make some big adjustments in race trim and see what happens. I’m happy and sad this is the last race of the season. It’s good to be back in the car and I’m glad we’re able to look forward to next season and getting some changes underway and continuing to get the race cars a lot better.”
WITH THE PROGRESSIVE BANKING HERE CAN YOU MAKE THE CAR HANDLE BETTER JUST BY CHANGING YOUR LINE? “You can more so in the race than in qualifying. In qualifying everybody’s got it all on the line. Everybody in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, the teams are so good that a few tenths make all the difference in the world. In qualifying you can’t make up for it near as much as you can in the race as the racetrack takes rubber and the race goes on. I’m ex cited to have another race here and finish out the year strong for the Raybestos Rookie of the Year championship and make the most of the opportunities we’ve had this year and look back on the highs of our season and learn from our lows.”
