INDIANAPOLIS, Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2010 – Tickets for the 2011 Brickyard 400 and Red Bull Indianapolis GP events at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway will go on sale at 8 a.m. (ET) Thursday, Nov. 4, with special, race-themed incentives for selected early customers.

The 18th annual Brickyard 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race is scheduled for Sunday, July 31, with the fourth annual Red Bull Indianapolis GP MotoGP race Sunday, Aug. 28.

For just the second year, Race Day general admission tickets will be offered for the Brickyard 400, with prices starting at $30 – a $10 savings from 2010. Race Day general admission tickets also will be available for the Red Bull Indianapolis GP, starting at $40. All children 12 and under will be admitted free with an adult general admission ticket holder at both events.

As a special incentive, four fans will win a prize package based on when they purchase tickets Thursday. The first online and in-person ticket purchaser each will be awarded prizes, and the 11th and 26th overall (online or in-person) purchasers Thursday also will be winners.

Those numbers are based on the vehicle numbers of the champions of this year’s Brickyard 400 (No. 1 Jamie McMurray) and Red Bull Indianapolis GP (No. 26 Dani Pedrosa), and also the year 2011, the final year of the IMS Centennial Era.

The 2011 Brickyard 400 features a new, two-tiered ticket pricing program, creating even more value and a wider variety of options for fans. Prices have been cut in selected rows of specific grandstands.

Fans have three ways to buy tickets for both events:

•Online: Visit www.imstix.com.

•Phone: Call the IMS ticket office at (317) 492-6700, or (800) 822-INDY outside the Indianapolis area.

•In person: Visit the ticket office at the IMS Administration Building at the corner of Georgetown Road and 16th Street.

Online orders can be made at any time. Hours for phone orders and the ticket office are 8 a.m.-5 p.m. (ET) Monday-Friday.

Tickets for groups of 20 or more also are on sale. Contact the IMS Group Sales Department at (866) 221-8775 for more information.

Both races will feature a wide variety of storylines next summer at IMS.

Defending Brickyard 400 winner McMurray will try to become only the second driver to win the race in consecutive years. Jeff Gordon will try to earn his record fifth Brickyard victory on the historic 2.5-mile oval, and Jimmie Johnson will try to match teammate Gordon with his fourth victory.

Indiana native Tony Stewart also is seeking to become just the third driver to win the race at least three times, while popular Dale Earnhardt Jr. will attempt to create the first father-son tandem of Brickyard 400 champions. His father, Dale Earnhardt, won the race in 1995.

The Red Bull Indianapolis GP will feature an interesting mix of change and constants.

2008 race winner and seven-time MotoGP World Champion Valentino Rossi is moving to the fabled Ducati Team in 2011 and will race on the 2.621-mile road course on the famous red bike after spending the last seven seasons at Yamaha. 2006 World Champion Nicky Hayden, from nearby Owensboro, Ky., will stay at Ducati as Rossi’s new teammate.

American Ben Spies, who won the pole this year as a rookie, is replacing Rossi on the factory Yamaha team as a teammate to 2009 Red Bull Indianapolis GP winner and 2010 World Champion Jorge Lorenzo.

All three Americans racing in MotoGP in 2010 will be on the grid in August 2011 at IMS, as popular Colin Edwards will remain at the Tech 3 Yamaha team and join Hayden and Spies in the race.

American Kenny Noyes also will return to Moto2, one of the three World Championship classes competing at IMS on Red Bull Indianapolis GP weekend.
