- Eric McClure started his 100th career Nationwide Series event in the 42nd position and finished 29th. This finish propelled the Virginia driver to 16th in NASCAR driver standings.
The Monster Mile Fast Facts
- The 30-year-old driver will compete in his sixth NNS event at Dover International Speedway. His most successful outing came in May 2009 when he qualified in the 18th position, before finishing in the 23rd position.
- In five starts at the “Monster Mile”, McClure has an average finish of 25.2 and has completed 93.7% of the total laps.
- McClure will be piloting chassis # 35 this weekend. This car was last run at Atlanta Motor Speedway where Team Rensi Motorsports finished in the 26th position.

“I’m looking forward to going back to Dover. We qualified well the last time we were there and had really raced ok in the last half of the race. My biggest struggles there are in the race so I’m hopeful we can go back and make some strides. We really had some momentum going with our season going into the May race at Dover and have struggled a bit at times since. This would be a good opportunity to get back what we’ve missed as we get into the home stretch of the season.”
