Three Entrants Penalized for Qualification Technical Infractions at Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS (Tuesday, May 21, 2013) - INDYCAR, the sanctioning body of the IZOD IndyCar Series, announced today penalties following qualification technical inspection May 18-19 at Indianapolis. The No. 8 entry of Chip Ganassi Racing driven by Ryan Briscoe has been fined $5,000 for not complying with Rule 14.6.4.16. 14.6.4.16 Rear Wings: The mainplane trailing edge height, as measured from the chassis reference plane is 28.010-28.210 inches.
