Two car washes and NASCAR Day pin sales at Stater Bros. Supermarkets benefitting
Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital, The NASCAR Foundation are tremendous successes

From May 10 to May 23, two car washes were held and NASCAR Day pins were sold at local Stater Bros. Supermarkets to raise $26,135.18 for LLUCH and The NASCAR Foundation.
The first car wash, that launched NASCAR Day celebrations, was on May 10. “Jaylen’s Car Wash” at Auto Club Speedway brought out over 600 Southern Californians to have their cars washed on pit road and then dried with a couple laps around the two mile oval.
On NASCAR Day, Friday, May 21, a second “Jaylen’s Car Wash” was held at Bass Pro Shops at Victoria Gardens in Rancho Cucamonga. Staff and volunteers from Auto Club Speedway, The NASCAR Foundation, LLUCH and Bass Pro Shops were on hand to wash the cars.
As if the car washes weren’t enough to raise money for charity, Stater Bros. Supermarkets sold NASCAR Day pins at their checkout registers from May 10 to May 23. In total the participating San Bernardino, Riverside, Orange, Los Angeles, San Diego and Kern county stores sold over 3,500 pins.
Every car washed and donation for the NASCAR Day pins makes a huge difference for those in need. Since 2008, Auto Club Speedway has raised over $157,000 for charity during its NASCAR Day efforts.
There is still time to take advantage of the spirit of giving. Auto Club Speedway is offering a special ticket package surrounding NASCAR Day. For only $50, race fans that purchase the NASCAR Day ticket package will receive:
$5 of each NASCAR Day ticket package will be donated to The NASCAR Foundation which supports a wide range of charitable initiatives that reflect the core values of the entire NASCAR Family. The NASCAR Day ticket offer expires June 15, 2010.
