Whether it’s her glorious looks, her impressive college degree portfolio or her competition and jaw-dropping popularity in the IZOD IndyCar Series, Duno has become a familiar icon in the racing community.

Last year, she joined Danica Patrick by making her ARCA stock car debut at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway last February in a Toyota fielded by Stringer Motorsports. While the result was less than exhilarating for the Caracas, Venezuela native she’s back in the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards garage armed and ready to do battle again at the “World Center of Racing!”

This year, she’s not going quietly into the sunset. During the off-season, the Miami, Florida native paired with the potent Mooresville, North Carolina-based Sheltra Motorsports, the 2010 ARCA Racing Series presented by RE/MAX and Menards championship operation.

The alliance could not come at a better of a time for the two. With Sheltra Motorsports focused on keeping a program healthy in the development series for NASCAR and Duno striving to prove that she despite some of her critics can get the job done, the match almost seemed like fate.

If there is a team that can prove that Duno does belong in Motorsports, Sheltra Motorsports is one of her best hopes. Overseen by crew chief and team manger Jon Wolfe and a host of veteran Motorsports’ staff, the fifth year-ARCA team heads into the Lucas Oil Slick Mist 200 optimistic about their chances but confident that Duno can reel in a top-10 finish in her No. 63 CITGO Lubricants Dodge Charger.

The team has every right to feel positive about what could be ahead. Last month, the ARCA Racing Series tested at the 2.5-mile superspeedway with Duno leading the female trio of six drivers and placing her Patrick Sheltra-owned Dodge into the top-10 in nearly all of the practice sessions held during the three days.

Not to mention the pep talks from Sheltra, himself, concerned one of ARCA’s best when it comes to plate racing, Duno was seen walking around the garage at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway Wednesday smiling and revving to go.

Milka Duno

“The team has worked very hard since the test in preparation for the race,” Duno said in a press release. “We are looking forward to a good result this weekend at the Lucas Oil Slick Mist 200.”

With the forecast playing mind games with the stars and cars of the ARCA Racing Series, it is possible that Duno herself could be leading the field to the green flag on Saturday afternoon, should rain wash out qualifying and set the field by 2010 car owner points. During the off-season, Sheltra Motorsports transferred the ownership points from Sheltra’s familiar No. 60 to Duno’s No. 63 thus giving her a guaranteed entry into the first of 19 races this season.

If Mother Nature was to reel her ugly head, Duno would become just the third female in the history of the 59 seasons of ARCA competition to lead the 43-car field to the green flag behind Patty Moise (1989 and 1990) and most recently Erin Crocker in 2007. While Duno would like to earn the pole based on the performance of her No. 63 CITGO Lubricants Dodge Charger and not the points her team earned last season.

Duno also hasn’t been afraid to speak her mind about being treated like any race car driver and most importantly not being compared because of her gender.

In fact, Daytona International Speedway is the home to one of Duno’s most defining moments in her racing career where in 2007, she achieved a second-place finish overall in the prestigious 24 Hours of Daytona thus becoming the highest finishing female finisher in the Rolex road race.

Undoubtedly, Duno will find herself in contention to take that checkered flag again near the front as she’s in one of the stoutest speedway cars in the garage and whether you like it or not, Duno could become the first female to win an ARCA Racing Series event.

Did I mention that Duno will be wheeling the same Dodge Charger that finished fifth at Daytona last year, one position ahead of Danica Patrick?

With all that being said, take what you want from this commentary, but I say go for it Duno. Put those critics to rest and Go Milka Go!

(Dec. 15, 2010) – Eddie Sharp Racing announced Tripp Bruce as the crew chief for the No. 46 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series team on Wednesday. Bruce will serve as leader for the No. 46 Greenville Toyota of N.C. Toyota Tundra of Craig Goess.

“I am thrilled to have Tripp Bruce on board for the 2011 NCWTS season with ESR,” said team owner Eddie Sharp. “Bruce is very well-respected in the NASCAR community, and I really look forward to having him bring our organization to the next level. He will be a fantastic mentor and leader for our driver Craig Goess and the No. 46 team.”

Bruce is a veteran of the motorsports industry, spanning the top NASCAR series. He got his start as a crew chief in 2004, when he joined Ultra Motorsports with the No. 2 NCWTS team. His guidance helped the team post three wins – Martinsville Speedway with Jamie McMurray and Darlington Speedway and Homestead Miami Speedway with Kasey Kahne.

Bruce took the reins at Evernham Motorsports in 2005 in the NASCAR Nationwide Series, working with various drivers through the course of two years. He racked up three wins, four top-five and 12 top-10 finishes. In 2006, Bruce took top honors, winning the NNS Crew Chief of the Year award.

In 2007, Bruce went to work with Bill Davis Racing to serve as crew chief for Johnny Benson in the NCWTS. Bruce worked with BDR from 1999 to 2003, and continued his success with the team as he captured four wins, 12 top-fives and 19 top-10 finishes in his first season with Benson. The next year, Bruce achieved a life-long goal with Benson, capturing five wins, five poles, 14 top-five and 18 top-10 finishes on his way to the 2008 NCWTS Championship.

Last season, Bruce worked with Stringer Motorsports and rookie Brad Sweet in the NCWTS. In the 2011 season, Bruce will take on the NCWTS with ARCA Racing Series sensation Craig Goess.

“I am really excited for this new opportunity at Eddie Sharp Racing,” said Bruce. “I believe that it is the right time and place, and I’m ready to get things rolling. Eddie has been busy building the organization and is at the level now where everyone is ready to compete in one of NASCAR’s top series. I’m looking forward to working with Craig Goess, and I’ve been following his career for the past few years. I think getting down to Daytona to test is going to help to continue to build our confidence and relationship, and I’m excited for this next season.”

Goess finished second in the highly-competitive ARCA Racing Series in 2010. The Greenville, N.C., driver also made his debut in the NCWTS in 2010, competing at Talladega Superspeedway and Homestead-Miami Speedway. His 10th and 12th place finishes in his first two events helped prepare Goess for his first full season in the NCWTS in 2011.

“I think it will be a great fit to work with Tripp Bruce,” said Goess. “I’m really looking forward to working with such a highly-esteemed crew chief, and I think that he will help show me the ropes of the NCWTS. His credentials are top-notch, and I really think it is going to help all of us at ESR get up to speed with the NCWTS and help with the learning curve. We are all going to lean on his expertise, and I’m thrilled to get back on the track at Daytona. ”

Jefferson Hodges served as interim crew chief last season for the two NCWTS events Goess competed in. “We were fortunate enough to have Jefferson Hodges quickly jump in last season and take the reins to lead the No. 46 truck on an interim basis,” said Sharp. “In 2011, Hodges will continue to make an impact on the organization, and we are very excited to have him with ESR.”

Bruce and Goess will take to the track for the start of the NCWTS season at Daytona International Speedway on Feb. 18, 2010. For more information on the team, please visit www.teamESR.com.

Texas Motor Speedway, it enabled Toyota to clinch its fifth consecutive NASCAR Camping
World Truck Series (NCWTS) manufacturer’s championship.

Toyota has won the NCWTS manufacturer’s championship each year since 2006, along with
a pair of driver’s titles for Todd Bodine (2006) and Johnny Benson (2008). Bodine, who currently
leads the NCWTS standings by 230 points, is seeking to capture Toyota’s third series driver’s
title.

Overall, this is the eighth time Toyota has earned a NASCAR manufacturer’s title since the
start of the 2004 season. Toyota recently also captured its third consecutive NASCAR
Nationwide Series manufacturer’s crown.

The performance of five full-time teams fielding Tundras — Billy Ballew Motorsports, Germain
Racing, Kyle Busch Motorsports, Randy Moss Motorsports and Red Horse Racing — all
contributed to the NCWTS manufacturer’s title. In addition, Stringer Motorsports ran a partial
season utilizing Tundras in 2010. This season, Tundra drivers have combined for 14 wins, 10
poles, 54 top-five results and 111 top-10 finishes with two races remaining on the schedule.

“To earn a fifth consecutive manufacturer’s championship is an accomplishment we are very
proud of, and is a testament to the commitment Toyota has — now and in the future — to the
NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and to our race teams participating in the series,” said
Ed Laukes, Toyota’s corporate motorsports marketing manager. “We have been fortunate to
partner ourselves with championship-caliber teams and exceptional drivers. Our Tundra teams
continue to prove their excellence on the track.”

Series points leader Bodine (four wins), Busch (seven wins) and Aric Almirola (two wins)
have all won multiple races for Toyota this season. In addition, Timothy Peters earned his
second career victory in a Tundra at Daytona to kick off the 2010 season.

“It’s an honor to be associated with Toyota and to be a part of five straight manufacturer’s
championships,” says Bodine. “Over the last seven years, Toyota and Germain Racing have
formed a great partnership and we constantly work together to improve our on-track
performance each and every year.”

A total of 31 different drivers have participated in the Camping World Truck Series in a
Tundra this year, including five — Almirola, Bodine, Justin Lofton, Peters and Mike Skinner –
who have competed in all 23 events driving Toyotas. Skinner has raced a Tundra in every
NCWTS race since Toyota joined the series in 2004 — a total of 173 starts.
Since joining NCWTS competition in 2004, Toyota has won 79 races and captured 78 poles
in 173 races.

Post-Race Notes & Quotes

Las Vegas Motor Speedway — September 25, 2010

- Todd Bodine (fourth) was the highest finishing Tundra driver in Saturday night’s NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

- Aric Almirola (sixth), Brian Ickler (seventh) and Justin Lofton (eighth) also scored top-10 results for Toyota at the 1.5- mile race track.

- Tundra drivers David Starr (12th), Tayler Malsam (13th), Jason Bowles (16th), Nelson Piquet Jr. (20th), Mike Skinner
(24th), Timothy Peters (26th), Donny Lia (28th), Justin Hobgood (35th) and Johanna Long (36th) were also in the field.
Bodine continues to lead the unofficial NCWTS driver standings following Las Vegas, leading Almirola by 262 points.

- Peters (fifth), Skinner (eighth) and Starr (ninth) are also in the top-10 in points after 20 of 25 races. Germain Racing leads the unofficial NCWTS owner standings by 39 points over Kyle Busch Motorsports with five races remaining in 2010.

TODD BODINE, No. 30 Valvoline Toyota Tundra, Germain Racing
Finishing Position: 4th

How was your race?

“We missed it pretty good. I don’t know how we missed it. We got a right front flat (tire) at the start of the second practice so we missed all of second practice on race trim. We needed more time. We adjusted on it and kept making it better and better and it was the best it was at the end. That’s what you have to be able to do. We didn’t win but it’s a good day for points because everybody we needed to worry about was behind us. We’ll just go on to the next one in Martinsville.”

Was this a good points night for your team?

“We weren’t very good in the beginning of the race. We kept adjusting and it got better and better. Our Valvoline Tundra
didn’t come to life but it was definitely the best it was right at the end of the race. It’s just too tight, too tight in the center and too tight off. I think we missed a little with the shocks but for points racing, this is what you have to do. If you can’t win, you have to do the best you can and get what the truck will give you. Aric (Almirola) in the 51 was behind us so it was a good points night. We don’t like to do that and think about that, but that’s what you have to do. I got the Valvoline Tundra in fourth.”

What were the final laps of tonight’s race like for you?

“We still weren’t good enough for Austin (Dillon). They have it going there, they’re really doing great and I’m happy for
them. At the end, longer runs were definitely our strong suit. We could run times faster than the guys in front of us. I was catching James (Buescher) there at the end, we just ran out of time. I can’t be disappointed with fourth after the way we ran.”

ARIC ALMIROLA, No. 51 Zyclara / Graceway Pharmaceuticals Toyota Tundra, Billy Ballew Motorsports
Finishing Position: 6th

How was your race?

“We were a little bit off all night just a little bit. It wasn’t much. Man, these race tracks where you run wide open you can’t really afford to be off a little bit and we were. I felt like we had maybe a third to fifth-place truck and we finished sixth so I’m a little disappointed in that. Nonetheless, it was a good effort. We were terrible in practice so I’m really proud of Richie Wauters (crew chief) and all the guys on our Graceway Pharmaceuticals team, they did a really good job making our truck a whole lot better.”

BRIAN ICKLER, No. 18 M&M’s Toyota Tundra, Kyle Busch Motorsports
Finishing Position: 7th

How was your race tonight?

“We fought the lack of grip all night. We struggled on restarts. I don’t think it was a horrible day for points for Kyle (Busch, owner) in the 18 truck. We have one thing to look forward to.”

Have you enjoyed racing with KBM this year?

“They’ve been great to me. We’ve had good runs. Coming to Vegas here and this being the last race for me with KBM, we
definitely wanted to run better. The truck is in one piece. Definitely not what we wanted today but it’s all right.”

JUSTIN LOFTON, No. 7 VisitPit.com Toyota Tundra, Red Horse Racing
Finishing Position: 8th

Are you happy with another top-10 finish?

“I’m really happy with tonight. It turned into being a really good night. During practice today the No. 7 VisitPit.com Toyota Tundra was just a little off. We were really fighting the bumps real bad, but no one was working the groove or anything like that. In the race, I kind of slipped up and worked my way up to the top and found some grip up there and came down the first stop.

Honestly Terry (Cook, spotter) was the one that made the call. He called for a big change and I didn’t have to say anything so it’s really cool to have someone up top that can see that kind of stuff. The team did a great job too. We picked up spots on pit road all night long and got the adjustments exactly where they needed to be and what we called for. Towards the end, we just got really good, really fast and got caught up on some restarts. We probably could have finished three or four spots better, but we’re definitely happy with the way tonight ended up considering how we started the day.”

DAVID STARR, No. 81 ASI Limited / Zachry / Stratosphere Toyota Tundra, SS Green Light Racing
Finishing Position: 12th

TAYLER MALSAM, No. 25 EXIDE Toyota Tundra, Randy Moss Motorsports
Finishing Position: 13th

JASON BOWLES, No. 77 Germain.com Toyota Tundra, Germain Racing
Finishing Position: 16th

NELSON PIQUET JR., No. 15 Qualcomm Toyota Tundra, Billy Ballew Motorsports
Finishing Position: 20th

MIKE SKINNER, No. 5 International Trucks / Monaco RV Toyota Tundra, Randy Moss Motorsports
Finishing Position: 24th

TIMOTHY PETERS, No. 17 WISS Toyota Tundra, Red Horse Racing
Finishing Position: 26th

DONNY LIA, No. 90 Stringer Motorsports Toyota Tundra, Stringer Motorsports
Finishing Position: 28th

JUSTIN HOBGOOD, No. 9 Germain.com Toyota Tundra, Germain Racing
Finishing Position: 35th

JOHANNA LONG, No. 20 Panhandle Grading & Paving Toyota Tundra
Finishing Position: 36th

“Success and Mod Connection Makes Lia a Truck Series Threat”

Stringer Motorsports

(Huntington, NY) Donny Lia goes into New Hampshire NASCAR weekend brimming with confidence. After a strong run in his debut with Stringer Motorsports #90 Camping World Truck Series Toyota at Kentucky Speedway, he is set to do battle at a place he knows well, New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

“New Hampshire is like a home track for me,” says Lia. “I absolutely love racing there.”

Although Lia was born and raised in New York, the two-time NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour champ knows the one-mile New England facility like the back of his hand. Theracedayraffleseries.com 175 will be Donny’s 17th career start at NHMS. Lia has won twice in the NASCAR Modified ranks there. Last year, he captured a dramatic last-lap win in the June Modified Tour race at the Loudon, NH speed-plant.

Donny hopes to carry that open-wheeled success into his NASCAR Camping World Truck Series effort this weekend.

“At this stage in the game,” explains Lia, “every bit of confidence you can put together helps. So much of this deal is mental. Going into a weekend with a positive attitude is a big thing. Going to a track that I know so well and have won races at definitely helps that confidence. I have a few trophies from New Hampshire and won the track title there in 2007 and 2009, during both of my NASCAR Whelen Mod championship years. I’m pumped to go back in the Truck.”

“We are going to New Hampshire with a real good Toyota and a good group of experienced guys. The whole package I have going into this weekend has me excited. It’s a great opportunity to go out there and run up-front. We are going to go out there and capitalize on it.”

Along with the familiarity of NHMS this weekend, Lia has another connection that should prove fruitful during the race weekend. Stringer Motorsports Car Chief Donnie Tarantino shares a Modified racing background with Lia. Tarantino, who has worked with Stringer Crew Chief Trip Bruce for over five-years in the Sprint Cup Series and the Camping World Truck Series, is a fellow Modified guy. The car chief birthed his racing resume at Stafford Motor Speedway and has wrenched Mod drivers Rod Spaulding and Charlie Pasteryak throughout the years. Along with his responsibilities at Stringer Motorsports, he currently helps maintain the #7NY Modified owned by Sprint Cup Series crew chief Kevin “Bono” Manion, car chief Gary Putnam and driven by NASCAR star Ryan Newman.

“While I communicate the race-setup and what is going on with the #90 Truck with the crew chief, Trip Bruce, it’s nice to have someone like Donnie (Tarantino) on the team,” adds Lia. “He’s someone that has the same background as me and we can really relate. It’s cool having someone familiar with Mods and still works on them to talk to at the track.”

The #90 truck the Stringer Motorsports team will compete with in Loudon is a brand new chassis that was run at O’Reilly Raceway Park and Gateway Int’l Raceway this season. This weekend’s race will be Donny’s fourth in a Camping World Truck at NHMS.

Green flag for Theracedayraffleseries.com 175 is at 3pm (ET) on Saturday September 18th at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. SPEED will televise the race tape-delayed at 7pm that same night.

“Donny is a proven two-time Champion in the NASCAR Whelen Series and working together with another proven Champion Crew Chief Trip Bruce and all the guys on our #90 Team should prove to be an exciting time this weekend”. Says Doug Stringer. “Donny is a great addition to our Stringer Motorsports team along with our other driver Brad Sweet who will soon be featured once again in the #90 Great Clips Racing Truck”.

“I am really looking forward to this opportunity to work with Crew Chief Trip Bruce and the guys at Stringer Motorsports.” says Lia. “ I am thankful for the opportunity that Doug Stringer is giving me to drive his #90 truck, and I couldn’t imagine being able to work with a better group of guys as I try to reach my personal goal of being successful in this series with solid finishes and hopefully some more wins in this truck series. I have been plagued with some bad luck in the trucks this year, and hopefully we can turn that around and bring home some solid finishes in the #90 truck.

I am looking forward to soaking up the knowledge from Trip, since he is a proven winner, and hopefully I can begin to experience the same success in the truck series as I have in the NASCAR Whelen Modified Series over the past couple of years. I only have one previous start at Kentucky Speedway and although I find the track itself is a rough track, I enjoy the challenge of trying to figure out the best way to maneuver my way around it”. Said Lia.

“Our team is real excited to work with Donny this weekend. We have a great group of guys that dedicate themselves to this team and my car chief Donnie Tarantino comes from a Modified background like Donny Lia does, so this should be fun working with him”. “The last time I was at Kentucky in the truck series, we won in 2008 with Johnny Benson, so a repeat of that would be awesome. Donny Lia is a great driver and this Stringer Motorsports Team is looking forward to him driving our truck”. Says Crew Chief Trip Bruce.

The green flag for the Built Ford Tough 225 presented by the Greater Cincinnati Ford Dealers is scheduled to drop at 8:00 pm EST. Racing coverage will air live on SPEED and MRN. SPEED will begin their NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Set Up show at 7:30pm and MRN coverage will begin at 7:45pm EST.

Sweet himself has been extremely busy since his NCWTS career best 8th place finish at ORP, with back to back race weeks with his Kasey Kahne Racing team racing in the Belleville Nationals as well as the Knoxville Nationals. Although plagued with some bad luck in Knoxville, His overall weekend at Belleville was outstanding after a sweeping victory night one of the Belleville Nationals and finishing 2nd on the final night!

After the race in Bristol, Brad Sweet will taking off for North Dakota where he will be racing his #49 Kasey Kahne Racing World of Outlaws car this weekend.

Doug Stringer, team owner of the #90 Great Clips Racing Team is looking forward to Sweet having an opportunity to run at Bristol. “Brad has been coming off a lot of time running short tracks the past couple of weeks so this should prove to be an exciting event for the #90 Great Clips Team.”

Sweet on racing at Bristol Motor Speedway- ” I am really excited to finally race at Bristol. I can remember the first time that I ever watched a race here and how unbelievable it was. I am excited to race our #90 Great Clips racing truck with the crew that we have and hope to bring home another solid Top-10 finish.”

Veteran Trip Bruce on racing at Bristol Motor Speedway– “I am anticipating that Brad will do well at Bristol. The same intensity that it takes for him to race his World of Outlaws will be required here at Bristol. Brad is a great competitor driven to win, and as he is getting more familiar with these trucks I believe that you will see that evident in his on track performances”.

Equipment Info- Sweet and his #90 Great Clips Racing Team will be taking Chassis #97. The last time this chassis was raced was earlier this year at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Team Fast Facts- Bristol Motor Speedway

Stringer Motorsports mechanic and fabricator Shannon Bryant was also a competitor at one time at Bristol Motor Speedway with his own Top-5 finish under his belt. Shannon competed in the 1999 Goody’s Dash Series qualifying 6th and finished the race in 5th place.

Crew Chief Trip Bruce also has some impressive stats at Bristol Motor Speedway: In 2006 he received the Wypall Crew Chief of the Race Award with Kasey Kahne piloting the car in the Nationwide Series. Bruce also won the first 2008 NCWTS race with Johnny Benson behind the wheel with the new track configuration.

“You can’t really compare this track to anywhere else we go throughout the year. When we went there last season, I had thought it would be a lot like Richmond but it’s a lot bigger than I thought and has a different surface. Turns one and two are pretty bumpy so that is something you have to work on throughout practice. Overall, it’s a pretty fun place to race. There is $50,000 up for grabs with this being a Nationwide Dash-for-Cash race and I’d say it’s up for anyone to take.”

Crew chief, Eddie Pardue on Iowa Speedway

“Iowa is an awesome race track, much like a short track in length, but very fast, which makes it unique and quite challenging. The entire team is looking forward to going back to Iowa and applying what we have learned the last couple of weeks. We definitely need a little luck on our side after having very fast cars and no results to show for it lately. I’m excited to go back with Jason where he had a great third-place finish and I captured the pole with my previous team. I have high expectations for this weekend and we don’t think we will be satisfied with anything less than a top-five finish.”

Equipment Information

The No. 38 Great Clips team will hit the track with chassis #BR025 in this weekend’s US Cellular 250 at Iowa Speedway. This chassis last saw track time at Nashville Superspeedway, where Leffler started fourth before a blown engine cut his night short. In 2009, Leffler raced this chassis at Iowa Speedway and Dover Motor Speedway, finishing third and sixth respectively.

PREVIEW: JAMES BUESCHER (NO. 31 WOLF PACK RENTALS CHEVROLET)

VENUE: O’REILLY RACEWAY PARK AT INDIANAPOLIS (.686-MILE OVAL)

CIRCUIT: NASCAR CAMPING WORLD TRUCK SERIES (RACE 12 OF 25)

DATE: JULY 23, 2010 (200 LAPS, 137.2 MILES)

BUESCHER AT ORP… Buescher has made two career starts at O’Reilly Raceway Park at Indianapolis (ORP) – one in the NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) and one in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS). In his first start at the .686-mile oval in 2008, the Texas native climbed behind the No. 32 Braun Racing entry in the NNS to finish in the 28th position after tire issues forced the youngster to make an unscheduled pit stop and lose valuable track position. Last season, Buescher made his first Truck Series start at ORP where he brought home a sixth-place finish after starting in the 17th position.

CHASSIS INFORMATION… Crew chief Michael Shelton has chosen Turner Motorsports chassis No. 17 for Buescher to run at ORP this Friday night. This particular Chevrolet is brand new to the Turner Motorsports stable and will see it’s first laps on track during the first Truck Series practice. Chassis No. 17 is a Leavitt chassis with Kevin Harvick Inc. body.

TOP-10 CONSISTENCY… Since making his debut with Turner Motorsports at Kansas Speedway in April, Buescher has qualified inside the top-10 five times in his seven starts with the first-year team. Buescher has tied his career-best qualifying effort in the Truck Series twice – second-place – at Charlotte (N.C.) Motor Speedway and last week at Gateway (Ill.) International Raceway.

POINTS JUMP… After Buescher’s first Truck Series start in 2010 at Nashville (Tenn.) Superspeedway with Stringer Motorsports, the 20-year-old sat in the 44th position in the NCWTS Championship Point Standings. Fast-forward to heading into this Friday’s event at ORP – Buescher currently sits in 14th position, gaining 30 spots in a total of eight races. All 13 drivers ahead and four drivers behind Buescher have competed in all 11 events. Buescher is only 79 points behind 13th-place Justin Lofton.

ON STAND BY… On Saturday, Buescher will be getting back behind the wheel of the car that he made his first career start with at ORP – the No. 32 Dollar General entry for Braun Racing. As driver Reed Sorenson will be fulfilling his duties in the Sprint Cup Series, Buescher will practice the entry and remain on stand by for qualifying. In 2008, Buescher made six starts in the Nationwide Series with Braun Racing.

LOOKING BACK… Last week at Gateway International Raceway, Buescher tied his career-best qualifying endeavor in the Truck Series with his second-place effort. After a local power outage forced NASCAR to postpone the NCWTS event until Saturday afternoon in the heat of the day, all teams were faced with the challenge of tuning in the handling. Crew chief Shelton and the Wolf Pack Rentals crew made numerous changes to help alleviate the tight Chevrolet, but the condition persisted. Buescher crossed the finish line in the 12th position – his sixth top-15 of 2010.

STAY UP TO SPEED… The AAA Insurance 200 from O’Reilly Raceway Park at Indianapolis will take the green flag this Friday, July 23rd at 8:00 P.M. Eastern. Race coverage will be televised live on SPEED, beginning at 7:30 P.M. Eastern. In addition, Motor Racing Network (MRN) and Sirius XM NASCAR Radio (Channel 128) will have the live radio broadcast, beginning at 7:30 P.M. Eastern.

QUOTES FROM BEHIND THE WHEEL:

BUESCHER (On competing at ORP): “Short track racing is always exciting for the drivers and fans alike and the two races that I have been in at ORP have been just that. A lot of beating and banging happens at ORP but if you have a good truck you can get to the front. Spotters are very important since the track is so small and you can get caught up in someone else’s mess. The Turner Motorsports guys have been working extremely hard these past couple of weeks and I’m looking forward to taking a brand new Chevrolet to the track this Friday.”

While I have not agreed with a lot of her negative publicity, Duno is gaining speed on and even off the track in her first full season of IndyCar Series competition behind the wheel of the No. 18 CITGO Dallara Honda for Dale Coyne Racing (DCR).

Duno is a former model and undoubtedly attracted much attention. Her racing career has been deemed somewhat unusual because of her late start. However, she wasn’t going to let that statistic keep her from reaching her dream.

She was introduced to the sport when she was invited to a driving clinic by a car club in Venezuela and did not start racing until she was 24. Prior to racing her background was primarily academic. Duno holds master’s degrees in Organizational Development, Naval Architecture, Maritime Business, and Marine Biology and she has prior experience working as a naval engineer.

No. 18 Citgo / CANTV Dallara Honda

Running a limited IndyCar schedule since 2007, Dale Coyne Racing and Duno announced in March that the one of the most popular drivers on the tour would compete full-time on the tour in 2010 with extreme concentration surrounding the road and street course events. Duno joined the two-car DCR operation as a teammate to Alex Lloyd in the No. 19 Boy Scouts of America Dallara Honda.

The move to the improving Dale Coyne Racing was an opportunity for Duno who had in the past competed for two part-time seasons with Dreyer & Reinbold. She had also participated in a test entering the 2009 season driving an entry for Newman / Haas / Lanigan Racing – which led speculation that she was potentially moving ship but after much thought and weighing options, she returned to her familiar No. 23 CITGO entry for Dreyer & Reinbold at Kansas Speedway where she qualified a solid 12th before finishing 16th.

There wasn’t a thought that Duno’s advance to a full-time schedule wouldn’t be filled with some bumps and bruises. Seven races into the year though; Duno has ultimately paid those dues tenfold. The first four races of the season were on street courses which over the years has proven to be an obstacle for the improving driver.

She did however qualify for those races and gained valuable seat time that she would not have had if not for the DCR / CITGO racing team. While unable to make it to the checkered flag in three of the first four races, she did however keep her nose clean and finished the race on the streets of Birmingham, Alabama where she placed 24th.

The first oval race of the year took the teams out west in the United States to Kansas Speedway, where Duno made her first career IndyCar start in 2007. While she qualified near the tail of the field, she patiently moved her way through the running order and was in the hunt for a season-best and notable finish before debris from another competitor’s incident sidelined the No. 18 team 84 laps into the 200-lap event.

Milka Duno

The team had every reason to smile based on her performance at Kansas Speedway even though the finish wasn’t justified. Feeling that their bad luck was now behind them – the team headed to Indianapolis Motor Speedway planning to award Duno with another prestigious start in one of the greatest spectacles of racing, the Indianapolis 500.

After showing early strength at the beginning of the month, Duno would be one of the handful of drivers who eventually would be bumped from the 33-car starting field and forced to sit on the sidelines for the Memorial-weekend tradition. Duno wasn’t on the sidelines alone as Paul Tracy, considered one of the favorites entering the 2010 Indy 500 was also unable to earn a starting berth into the contest.

Sometimes though, hitting the very bottom raises you to the top and more than likely for Duno, missing the Indianapolis 500 was one of the lowest points of her racing career. No time to fret though as the series would press on a week later at Texas Motor Speedway, another favorable track for the former Panoz GT Series champion.

Milka Duno

Duno rejuvenated herself and her DCR organization by posting a solid sixth during the first practice session at Texas Motor Speedway two weeks ago. The effort raised eyebrows among the garage area with many doing a double-take at timing and scoring to make sure what they were seeing wasn’t a dream.

True. It wasn’t a dream. It was for real. Duno’s speed was impressive and the fastest of four female competitors, including rival Danica Patrick entered for the Firestone 550K. For her fans and supporters, the lap proved that there is light at the end of the tunnel for the Caracas, Venezuela native and I personally see her season only getting stronger. By the way, Patrick was the next fastest female in the session nestled back in the 15th position, nine positions behind Duno.

Unfortunately, for Duno who has 33 career IZOD IndyCar Series starts to her resume her engine in the CITGO machine began to falter which ultimately hindered the 38-year old in qualifying and eventually led to a mechanical failure in the event. While she was credited with a disappointing 23rd place finish, her efforts gained her attention for showing that she has the talent, ability and confidence to run with the best in the potent Indy Racing League (IRL).

After two weeks off, the series resumes action from Iowa Speedway this weekend for the running of the Iowa Corn Indy 250 Presented by Pioneer®. Obviously for Duno, her goal is to prove that Texas’s practice performance was no fluke.

Located in Newton, Iowa, Duno will make her third start the .875-mile short track and hopes to improve on her best qualifying effort of 19th and finishing position of 18th occurring in 2007. No doubt that the recent success of teammate Lloyd is a confidence booster for Duno’s Darren Crouser led race team and I would be ultimately disappointed if Duno didn’t find herself contending for a top-10 run on Sunday.

Milka Duno

Before steering all of her concentration towards the IZOD IndyCar Series earlier this season, Duno joined Patrick for a taste of stock car racing via the ARCA Racing Series presented by RE/MAX and Menards. In December 2009, Duno left a three-day test at the breathtaking 2.5-mile superspeedway of Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway leading a record nine female drivers participating in the open-test in preparation for the Lucas Oil Slick Mist 200 at Daytona, the 2010 ARCA season-opener.

While much of the attention was centralized on Patrick, many of the media agreed it was hard to overlook the success of Duno’s first try in a stock car fielded in a joint effort between Braun Racing and Stringer Motorsports and not surprisingly would later be considered a potential sleeper for the 43-car starting field in February.

Sadly, her first taste of Daytona speedweeks did not go as planned. Armed with the same No. 90 CANTV Toyota Camry she tested with, the performance from two months earlier never came back to life. Duno struggled to gain the horsepower she needed in order to be a threat at Daytona but still managed to find herself in the starting grid. After starting 41st, she quickly learned the feel for the draft and had maneuvered into the 32nd position before being swept into an accident not of her own making on lap six which suffered in a heart-breaking 43rd place finish.

Word from the ARCA garage is Duno is wanted back (badly in fact) and is currently approved for all tracks on the circuit but no official confirmation from her party has been announced. Personally, I also would like to see her back in the series. She without a doubt helped the ratings spike to record levels but sadly didn’t share the same success that Patrick did. Had Duno not been shoved into the multi-car incident, I strongly believed she would have been contending for a top-15 and potentially even a top-10 run in her ARCA debut.

Chicagoland Speedway will be a joint venue for the two series later this year and I feel that seat time for her in a stock-car could gain her some additional momentum to feel more comfortable about racing in ARCA and / or NASCAR rather than the bitter-sweet taste she experienced at Daytona. Time will tell though whether Milka Duno will take another stab at stock car racing.

Milka Duno

The first woman Ferrari Challenge winner also makes noise off the track with her commendable “Milka Way” program. The program’s initiative is to inspire Hispanic / American youth to “Aim for the Stars” and achieve academic excellence with a heavy concentration on science, technology, engineering and mathematics fields of study.

Her willingness to give back to the students has earned her several awards, honorable mentions, invitations to esteemed events, programs and functions while in a sense building a superstar status that has seemed virtually bulletproof. Not to forget, her bilingual kids book, “Go, Milka, Go!” has become a smashing success. The book depicts her as a cartoon character teaching the importance of education to children of all ages.

Oh and if you think she hasn’t done it all, in 2008, she completed filming her first major motion picture role. Duno played the role of Kellie “Gearbox,” a race car driver, in the highly anticipated Speed Racer movie that is based on the 1960’s classic animated series. The Warner Bros. movie was released in May 2008.

Love her or hate her, Milka Duno (as long as she can continue to trigger the strong sponsorship she has acquired) is going to be around for many more years to come. Some say she is a threat and sometimes quoted as a “rolling chicane” on the track.

I say bologna.

Every driver has had rough spots in their career and Duno is no exception. Duno has showed improvements in every season she has competed in and I don’t expect this year, despite her hardships to be any different. By the way, there is another driver (and no I won’t name that pilot) who comes to my mind that I would fight to the end to see their IndyCar license revoked before hers but as long as Duno continues to show the drive and passion she has in her three years of open-wheel racing; nothing will stand in her way. Nothing!

If you don’t think becoming the highest-finishing female in the history of the 24 Hours of Daytona in the Rolex Sports Car Series with a second place finish alongside teammates Ryan Dalziel, Darren Manning and Patrick Carpentier in 2007 isn’t a boost for your resume – than you might want to just rethink the garage.

Post-Race Notes & Quotes

Michigan International Speedway – June 12, 2010

- Aric Almirola earned his second career NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) win on Saturday at
Michigan International Speedway.

- Almirola led only the final seven laps of the 100-lap race, which included a series track record of 20 lead changes
among 10 drivers.

- The victory was the 71st for Toyota since entering the NCWTS in 2004 and third at the two-mile track, which was also
the site of the first Toyota win in NASCAR (2004).

- Tundra drivers Todd Bodine (second), Kyle Busch (third), Timothy Peters (sixth), David Starr (eighth) and Nelson
Piquet Jr. (10th) also earned top-10 finishes.

- Toyota drivers Mike Skinner (12th), Justin Lofton (18th) and Brad Sweet (19th) were also in the field.

- Bodine continues to lead in the unofficial NCWTS point standings, now 55 points ahead of second-place Almirola.
Peters (third), Skinner (sixth) and Starr (eighth) are also in the top-10 in points after nine of 25 races.

ARIC ALMIROLA, No. 51 Zyclara / Graceway Pharmaceuticals Toyota Tundra, Billy Ballew Motorsports
Finishing Position: 1st

How was your race today?

“We struggled at the beginning of the race just being really tight. Dirty air was so bad today. Clean air was so important and we got to the front and we got in clean air and it just was a different truck. It drove great. It was a little bit free where I had fought tight all day, but Richie Wauters (crew chief) and all the guys at Billy Ballew Motorsports – they work their tails off all week long and it shows man. We had an awesome truck. I want to thank Graceway Pharmaceuticals.
They stuck behind us and they’ve been a great supporter of ours. I want to thank the fans – what a crowd today. I was doing my burnout there and I seen them all cheering and waving and stuff so that’s cool. That makes you feel good when you come and see a packed house like that.”

What adjustments did your team make during the race to give you a winning truck?

“We struggled just being really tight. We worked on it and worked on it and tried to get it freed up but dirty air was so bad. On those last couple restarts I knew if I could just get to the front we’ll have a different truck and sure enough we got to the front and as soon as we got to the front it was a totally different truck. It drove great. I don’t think I lifted those last 10 laps. My hats off to Billy Ballew (team owner), Richie Wauters (crew chief) and everybody at Billy Ballew Motorsports. Our Graceway Pharmaceuticals Tundra was awesome today.”

What happened on the final 10 laps?

“This place you can draft so well, but at the same time I knew if I kept Todd’s (Bodine) nose in dirty air that I could upset his truck. And that’s what I tried to do. I tried to break the draft down the straightaways as much as possible and in the corners I tried to take his lane away so he could get tight. Fortunate enough for us today, that was the key.”

How did you feel when you were racing three-wide to take the lead?

“I didn’t think it was the greatest place to be. I knew we were going to run wide open through the corner and we were either going to crash or we were going to make it out the other side because I knew how important clean air was. I knew that was my only shot to get out in the lead and if I didn’t get out in the lead then there was no chance of us winning the race. I went down in turn one and I knew that I was going to run a shorter distance than Todd (Bodine) do I just tried to hold tight on Kyle’s (Busch) door to get him loose, which I did and by the time I got off turn two, I was almost clear Todd. Then when we went through (turns) three and four, I cleared him. I think that was the move of the race as far as I’m concerned for winning the race. Our truck, in dirty air, just wasn’t as good as it needed to be. That was key.”

RICHIE WAUTERS, crew chief, No. 51 Zyclara / Graceway Pharmaceuticals Toyota Tundra, Billy Ballew Motorsports
What adjustments were you able to make on the truck today?

“Early in the race, he (Aric Almirola) was a little tight on exit. The first adjustments we made, we took some wedge out and made a track bar adjustment. It seemed to make a little bit of difference, but it still wasn’t enough. In the Truck Series, when you only get to stop twice, you have to make sure you get it the next time. We made a pretty big air adjustment on it and it was still a little bit tight, but once he got out in the clean air, it was good.”

BILLY BALLEW, team owner, Billy Ballew Motorsports

Are you surprised by the early success of Aric Almirola this year?

“First and foremost, I am so proud of what we have been able to achieve and with the success with a very limited budget in the 15 truck when Aric (Almirola) drove it last year and I think he finished second five or six times. Then he drove the 51 in a couple races and we were running for the owner’s championship and there was no doubt what was possible. There was never a question or debate. When Kyle (Busch) was going his direction, we were fortunate enough to have Graceway Pharmaceuticals come on as a sponsor and Toyota and TRD (Toyota Racing Development) and all that they do for us. There was never anything to discuss, it was a given.”

TODD BODINE, No. 30 Germain.com Toyota Tundra, Germain Racing

Finishing Position: 2nd

How do you feel about finishing second in today’s race?

“You never like to lose, that’s for sure. We had a great Tundra – Germain crew did a great job. Aric (Almirola) was just
good at the end when he needed it. Richie Wauters (Almirola crew chief) has proved over and over – he put Kyle (Busch) in victory lane and he’s going to put Aric in there also. We had a great race truck. That’s Camping World Truck Series racing at its finest. That’s what its about and that’s why people love to watch our races and come to the races. It’s hard-nosed, go get ‘em every lap racing and it’s a lot of fun.”

How instrumental was your crew in your finish?

“I said it all along and I say it every week, I have the best crew on pit road. They do one hell of a job and they got us off pit road first. On the second run, our truck was too tight in the middle and the last run, it was too tight on exit. That’s why I just couldn’t roll up outside of Aric (Almirola), I got too tight outside on exit. The crew, they build great Tundras, put them on the race track every week and knock on wood, we’ll keep doing it and keep plugging away and keep these top-fives – when we can win, we win.”

How do you feel about your team at this point in the season?

“We’re back in our form. At the beginning of the year we were struggling pretty hard. (Mike Hillman) Jr. (crew chief) got it
figured out and now the trucks are driving incredibly well. It’s fast, it’s doing what we need it to do and we just have to
continue doing what we’re doing. We didn’t come here to finish second, but we finished second and you have to look at it as a points day. Aric (Almirola) gained five or three points on us because he won. We stayed right with him that was good. We look forward to every race. This one’s over and where are we going next? Iowa. It was a good day. Nobody likes to lose. Unlike a lot of people, I’m not a sore loser. I’m happy for Aric and Billy (Ballew, team owner) and Richie Wauters (crew chief) and the whole bunch. They worked hard. They’ve proved that they can put any driver in there and win now. That means a lot to a race team and a group of guys that work their guts out every week to put these things on the race track. I’m proud of them to go out there and be able to do that. At the same time, I have to say that I’m proud of Austin (Dillon) for what he’s doing. He’s doing a hell of a job – a rookie and never been at these places. Doing awesome.”

Were you surprised when Aric Almirola took the lead from you?

“I won’t say that I was surprised, maybe it caught me a little off guard. On that restart, I told (Mike Hillman) Jr., ‘Man, this is tough, who do you want behind you?’ Be on the outside or be on the inside and take the chance of having him drive around you. So I chose Kyle (Busch) and the outside. Aric’s (Almirola) is a hell of a racer and they had a good truck when it counted. That just proves you can never count them out. They are always going to be there. On a short run like that, especially as many laps as we rode around under caution with the tires cooling down, everybody’s handling pretty good for three or four or five laps. I really believe if the race was 10 laps longer that I probably would have beat him. He was starting to get really tight down there blocking me and I was still rolling good. I wasn’t getting any tighter, I was still rolling good and the longer the run went, the faster our truck was. Like racing with Kyle, I could really beat him off the corner and that’s what was going to happen with Aric if it was another 10 laps, but it wasn’t another 10 laps. It just proves again how good this series really is and how good the competition is and why our fan base and TV audience is growing. The Camping World Truck Series is proving every week that we deserve to be here racing and putting on great shows for our fans.”

What was it like racing three-wide at the end of the race?

“For me it was easy, I was on the outside. I think Aric (Almirola) was in the middle so it was a little harder for him because I am taking some of his air. I made sure I gave him plenty of room. I won’t name names, but there’s a lot of drivers that pinch you right down and suck the air off of you and spin you out. I wasn’t going to do that. It was too good of a race and that’s what racing is all about. Then Kyle (Busch) was on the inside and he had it the toughest. It looked spectacular and it really is when you’re inside there. There’s a couple times when my spotter called, ‘Four-wide.’ I was like, you have to be kidding me. It was fun and that was great racing. I finished second and second sucks, but I had a lot of fun.”

How much did you enjoy today’s race?

“This is why I started racing. A lot of guys in this sport have lost site of that fact of why we’re here and why we do this. It’s a damn shame that some people can’t go back out there and enjoy it. I just want you to all know that the Truck Series is a lot of fun and this is what we do every week. A lot of you guys don’t see us every week, but this is what we do and we have fun doing it and it’s a crying shame that the rest of these guys can’t.”

KYLE BUSCH, No. 18 Toyota Tundra, Kyle Busch Motorsports

Finishing Position: 3rd

Did you have anything at the end of today’s race?

“Just didn’t have enough unfortunately. Can’t thank Toyota enough, M&M’s and all the guys on this team. They gave me a good truck and the driver didn’t get it done.”

What happened on the restart with Todd Bodine?

“Just typical NASCAR restart. He (Todd Bodine) slowed down, didn’t go by the first one, he went by the second one, it was fine and it was legal. Then he didn’t go. He held his truck part throttle to where I had to slow down so I didn’t beat him to the start-finish line. He just suckered me and then (Ron) Hornaday got me three-wide going down into turn one. The race for the wreck was on.”

What were the challenges you faced with your truck today?

“My truck was all over the place so I could run the top in (turns) one and two and the bottom in three and four. When you can only run a specific line and you can’t move around the race track anywhere else, then you’re stuck. Especially here, you can’t pass a guy down on the bottom of one and two because you’re loose down there and you can’t go up high in one and two and get on their outside because then you’re going to be loose in three and four. Just frustrating the way we didn’t have it right.”

TIMOTHY PETERS, No. 17 Red Horse Racing Toyota Tundra, Red Horse Racing

Finishing Position: 6th

DAVID STARR, No. 81 Zachry Toyota Tundra, Randy Moss Motorsports

Finishing Position: 8th

How was your truck in today’s race?

“Our Zachry Toyota Tundra was a handful today. It was tough. It was so wicked loose that we went a lap down. I just
couldn’t drive it and it was unbearable. The first couple pit stops, we dropped the track bar. (Turns) three and four were
awesome, but I couldn’t turn the wheel left in one and two – you have to be able to turn to go through the corners when you’re racing. It was ugly. The team made some changes and they were some good adjustments that made the truck come alive. Then we got lucky and the caution came out and we got the lucky dog and we were able to battle back to a top-10 finish. It was just a team effort and we never gave up.”

NELSON PIQUET JR., No. 15 Qualcomm / ArcSight Toyota Tundra, Billy Ballew Motorsports

Finishing Position: 10th

MIKE SKINNER, No. 5 International Trucks / Monaco RV Toyota Tundra, Randy Moss Motorsports

Finishing Position: 12th

JUSTIN LOFTON, No. 7 VisitPit.com Toyota Tundra, Red Horse Racing

Finishing Position: 18th

BRAD SWEET, No. 90 Great Clips Toyota Tundra, Stringer Motorsports

Finishing Position: 19th

Dillon, the son of former NASCAR driver Mike Dillon and grandson of seven-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series championship owner Richard Childress guided his No. 3 Bass Pro Shops / Tracker Boats Chevrolet Silverado around the two-mile which is nestled in the lush Irish Hills of Southeastern Michigan to a fast lap of 40.796 seconds at 176.488 miles per hour. Dillon in his first full season of NCWTS competition notched his first career pole last weekend at Texas Motor Speedway.

Fellow Chevrolet bow-tie competitor Ron Hornaday in his final race with backing from Longhorn Moist Snuff qualified second, 0.133 seconds behind Dillon. New rules enforced by the Food and Drug Administration will prevent cigarette and smokeless tobacco sponsorships in sporting events as of June 22, forcing Longhorn to discontinue their relationship with Kevin Harvick Inc. The red, black and yellow colors have adorned Hornaday’s No. 33 truck for 19 races throughout the 2009 and 2010 seasons. Hornaday recorded four wins in the Longhorn colors in 2009. He also claimed his fourth championship title in the red, black and yellow paint scheme.

Turner Motorsports’ James Buescher continues to uplift the spirits of his newly formed NASCAR Camping World Truck Series operation as he pulled together the third fastest lap in the No. 31 Wolf Pack Rentals Chevrolet Silverado.

ThorSport Racing’s Matt Crafton was fifth, followed by Elliott Sadler carrying new colors this weekend in Grance Insurance in a second KHI truck closed out the top-first dozen.

Current point’s leader Todd Bodine, the most recent winner in the Camping World Truck Series last qualified seventh in his No. 30 Germain.com Toyota Tundra. Kyle Busch in his sponsorless Kyle Busch Motorsports entry delivered the eighth fastest effort with Stacy Compton posting his No. 60 SafeAuto Insurance Chevrolet in ninth and Aric Almirola, the Dover International Speedway winner comprised the top-10.

Ricky Carmichael in the No. 4 Monster Chevrolet for Turner Motorsports will roll 11th with Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway winner Timothy Peters turning the fastest lap of the two Red Horse Racing entries on property with a 12th place effort.

Nelson Piquet, the former Formula One driver will roll off 14th. Piquet competed in the ARCA Racing Series event on Friday and finished 12th in a Eddie Sharp Racing-fielded ride.

Hermie Sadler, the older brother of Elliott Sadler muscled his shoptna.com Chevrolet Silverado into the 15th position while Jason White in the SS Green Light Racing entry qualified 16th.

2009 ARCA Racing Series champion Justin Lofton, a former winner at Michigan International Speedway in that series will start today’s contest from the 18th position in the No. 7 visitPit.com Toyota Tundra.

Chris Fontaine, a native of Florida in his family owned team qualified an impressive 20th in the No. 84 Glenden Enterprises Chevrolet.

After posting the last position in the lone NCWTS practice session yesterday, Chad McCumbee, who also drove in yesterday’s ARCA race stepped it up this morning and put a third SS Green Light Racing entry into the field in 21st.

Independent racer Chris Jones maneuvered ahead of Brad Sweet in Stringer Motorsports’ No. 90 Great Clips Toyota Tundra, David Starr in the No. 81 Randy Moss Motorsports Toyota and Ryan Sieg in the No. 39 S&W Services Chevrolet to close out the top-25.

Jennifer Jo Cobb arriving in Michigan on the heels of her career-best finish of 14th last weekend at Texas Motor Speedway will start 27th. For Cobb, in the No. 10 DrivenMale.com Ford F-150, today is her 37th birthday and she is hoping to rope in three consecutive top-20 finishes in her quest to gain additional seat-time in the NCWTS.

Brent Raymer, who’s gasped the attention of the truck audience with some vicious accidents in his career, will look for a trouble-free day after clocking the 28th fastest run.

Row number 15 will be a row filled with “Mikes” after Mike Garvey out qualified Mike Harmon to complete the top-30 starters.

Rick Ware Racing teammates J.C. Stout, Brett Butler and Donnie Neuenberger will take the green flag from the 31st, 32nd and 33rd positions respectively – tying that organization with SS Green Light Racing with the most number of trucks in the field at three a piece.

Norm Benning, Michigan native Michael Guerity and ARCA driver Terry Jones made up the remainder of the 36-truck starting field.

The VFW 200 is set to roll off shortly after 2:00 p.m. today with live coverage on SPEED, MRN radio and its affiliates and Sirius Satellite Radio NASCAR channel 128.

• Brian Ickler (fourth), Johnny Benson (fifth), Aric Almirola (seventh), Mike Skinner (eighth) and David Starr (10th) also earned top-10 finishes for Toyota at the 1.5-mile race track.
• Tundra drivers Justin Lofton (13th), Tayler Malsam (22nd), Timothy Peters (23rd) and Jesse Smith (29th) were also in the field.
• Peters continues to lead the unofficial NCWTS point standings, 22 points ahead of Bodine. Almirola (third) and Skinner (10th) are also in the top-10 in points after five of 25 races.

TODD BODINE, No. 30 Germain.com Toyota Tundra, Germain Racing
Finishing Position: 3rd

Was your final pit stop the key to your third-place finish? “That’s one thing, all the Germain guys are strong in the pits. Every week they beat guys out and that’s what keeps us up front. We were free all day and right there at the end we got a little tight off. I couldn’t quite run with Ron (Hornaday Jr.) and Johnny (Sauter), they were a little fast with a little too much horsepower, but this Toyota was awesome. To overcome what we did today with getting a speeding penalty and then a flat tire under green putting us a lap down and to come back and finish third, that’s what this team is all about. We just never give up.”

Did you think you had a shot at the win when Ron Hornaday Jr. and Johnny Sauter made contact in the closing laps? “I actually couldn’t see it. (Mike Hillman) Junior told me that them clowns were up there racing each other hard so keep digging. That’s what we do. Unfortunately for us they straightened it out and kept going.”

BRIAN ICKLER, No. 18 Toyota Tundra, Kyle Busch Motorsports
Finishing Position: 4th

Was your truck being loose the key to your finish today at Kansas? “We were a little free. I’m real proud of the guys. They did a great job all day on pit road. I had a good run today for KBM (Kyle Busch Motorsports) and hopefully we can keep — just happy we can keep the 18 up there in points.”

JOHNNY BENSON, No. 15 Red Top Collector Car Auction Toyota Tundra, Billy Ballew Motorsports Finishing Position: 5th

How was your race? “We kind of stayed off pit road with old tires thinking that we’d get a caution at the end and have tires on everybody, but it went green so I really have to thank Cowboy (Kevin Starland, crew chief) and everybody at Billy Ballew Motorsports. It was a great car and have to thank Red Top Auto Auctions and their May 22 and 23 big auction there in Georgia.”

Are you happy with your finish? “Yeah, for what we had and from where we started off. We seemed to struggle. For some reason our Tundra wasn’t drafting as good as it needed to be. I was stalling out, I’m not sure why that was doing that. That made it tough, but those guys made a great call staying out on tires. That wasn’t our plan, but after I saw no one else was coming, we decided to finish it off. I was starting to get slow there at the end but I’m sure that everyone else was, too.”

ARIC ALMIROLA, No. 51 Graceway Pharmaceuticals/AKAwareness.com Toyota Tundra, Billy Ballew Motorsports Finishing
Position: 7th

What was your truck like after the rain delay? “I guess it would have kept raining now. We thought we were going to make some adjustments there on that pit stop and help us and we didn’t help us at all. It really hurt our truck. I don’t know, we made the wrong adjustment.”

MIKE SKINNER, No. 5 International Trucks/Monaco RV Toyota Tundra, Randy Moss Motorsports Finishing Position: 8th

How was your truck after the rain delay? “We really struggled all day. Our truck was just horribly loose and bouncing all over the place. We really struggled and when it rained, Gene (Nead, crew chief) and the guys, they got their heads together. According to him, he didn’t do that much but all of a sudden they fixed our truck and I think it was more with air pressure than anything else. Then the truck was too tight, which was okay, I could have raced like that. If we could have started the day like that, and been tunable, we could have definitely been a threat for the top-three.”

DAVID STARR, No. 81 PC Miler Navigator Toyota Tundra, Randy Moss Motorsports
Finishing Position: 10th

How was your race? “It wasn’t bad. Our PC Miler Navigator Zachry Toyota Tundra was okay. At times we were better. We struggled pretty much all day long. We were decent at times and struggled other times, all in all it was just an okay race. To come back and finish in the top-10 with how practice was, I’d say it was almost like a win for us because we were pretty bad in practice. It’s frustrating for me and (Doug) Wilcott (crew chief) and all the guys on the team trying to get this thing handled a little bit better. To come back from as bad as we were, not a bad finish — we messed up right there at the end. Once the track got back on the race track they had pit road back open and all my guys went down there ready for a pit stop and we went from eighth to 16th, I think that hurt us a lot. All in all, everybody did a good job and when you start complaining about top-10s, that’s sad so I’m not going to complain. It’s just not what we were looking for, we were looking for a lot better. Not bad, good day for everybody.”

JUSTIN LOFTON, No. 7 VisitPit.com Toyota Tundra, Red Horse Racing
Finishing Position: 13th

How was your race? “Our race was good. At first we were hoping for day light or sunlight and then we got the sun to come out and now we were kind of wishing it hadn’t rained. When the sun came out, we made a couple of adjustments to try to get some speed out of the truck, which we’ve been looking for all weekend and then we went backwards. We made it looser — it just went backwards. It is what it is — worse racing term there is. I’m proud of the guys on the No. 7 Toyota Tundra, they did a great job all weekend. We had three solid stops, we have a truck that’s in one piece. We might have finished one lap down, but the leader was right in front of me. It’s a big improvement for us in our season, getting some momentum going. We’ll go on to Dover and we’ll let ‘er rip.”

TAYLER MALSAM, No. 56 One Eighty Toyota Tundra, Kyle Busch Motorsports
Finishing Position: 22nd

TIMOTHY PETERS, No. 17 Strutmasters.com Toyota Tundra, Red Horse Racing
Finishing Position: 23rd

JESSE SMITH, No. 90 Great Wolfe Lodge/Great Clips Toyota Tundra, Stringer Motorsports
Finishing Position: 29th

VENUE: KANSAS SPEEDWAY (1.5-MILE TRI-OVAL)

CIRCUIT: NASCAR CAMPING WORLD TRUCK SERIES (RACE 5 OF 25)

DATE: MAY 2, 2010 (167 LAPS, 250 MILES)

BUESCHER AT KANSAS… Buescher has made one previous start at Kansas Speedway, as he competed in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series event last season (2009). The 20-year-old earned his career best Truck Series qualifying position, to roll off the starting grid from eighth-place. After severe thunderstorms and tornadoes moved through the area, Buescher and the rest of the field resumed racing on Monday, where the youngster finished in the 12th position, completing 100% of the laps competed (132 of 132).

TWO RACES, TWO STATES, THREE DAYS… This weekend, Buescher will pull double duty – but not the double duty that most drivers will be doing. After the completion of the Nationwide Series race at Richmond, Buescher will fly to Kansas City, Kansas to compete in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Kansas Speedway. Practice and qualifying are scheduled for Saturday, with the race taking place on Sunday. For the first time this season, Buescher will pilot the No. 31 Wolfpack Rentals Chevrolet for Turner Motorsports.

SECOND START OF 2010… Kansas will mark Buescher’s second start in the 2010 Truck Series season. Earlier this month, Buescher competed at Nashville (Tenn.) Superspeedway in the No. 90 Great Clips Toyota for Stringer Motorsports. After qualifying for the race in the 20th position, Buescher put forth a solid effort as he crossed the finish line in 13th-place.

REARVIEW MIRROR… Buescher has competed in 27 Truck Series races in his short career. After making his first series start for Billy Ballew Motorsports at Homestead-Miami Speedway in 2008, Buescher moved to Circle Bar Racing to compete full-time in 2009. In April, Buescher recorded his first start of 2010 for Stringer Motorsports and now moves to his part-time effort with Turner Motorsports. In those previous career starts, Buescher has scored one top-five, three top-10, and 14 top-15 finishes.

DID YOU KNOW?… This weekend’s event will be the first time Turner Motorsports has fielded two entries in NASCAR competition. Buescher and his teammate Ricky Carmichael, who competes on a full-time basis in the No. 4 Monster Energy Chevrolet, will carry the flag for the first-year team.

DYNAMIC DUO… Buescher started his racing career on two-wheels, as he raced motocross growing up as a kid. But by the age of 12, his parents decided to help him switch to stock cars, as they wanted to lower the risk of getting hurt. Even before the Texas native started his stock car career, Buescher watched Carmichael compete and win races and championships in the legends’ stout two-wheel career. Now, Buescher is teammates with the GOAT (Greatest Of All Time) at Turner Motorsports.

CALLING THE SHOTS… Kansas also marks another first for crew chief Michael Shelton. Shelton will call his first race on top of the pit box this weekend. Before joining Turner Motorsports in October 2009, Shelton worked at Joe Gibbs Racing for three years, serving as the car chief on the No. 18 Nationwide Series entry for two years before moving to the front suspension and brake specialist on the No. 20 Chevrolet in the Sprint Cup Series. Buescher and Shelton have a past working relationship, as Shelton worked on the young gun’s ASA Late Model in 2006, en route to the Championship and Rookie of the Year Award.

CHASSIS INFORMATION… Crew chief Michael Shelton has chosen Turner Motorsport chassis No. 11 for Buescher to run at Kansas this weekend. Chassis No. 11 is brand new, as Kevin Harvick Inc. put the body on the Leavitt chassis. This Chevrolet will see the track for this first time during the practice session on Saturday.

STAY UP TO SPEED… The O’Reilly Auto Parts 250 from Kansas Speedway will take the green flag this Sunday, May 2nd at 1 PM Eastern. Race coverage will be televised live on SPEED, beginning at 12:30 PM Eastern. In addition, Motor Racing Network (MRN) and Sirius XM NASCAR Radio (Channel 128) will have the live radio broadcast, beginning at 1 PM Eastern.

QUOTES FROM BEHIND THE WHEEL:

BUESCHER (On racing at Kansas Speedway for Turner Motorsports): “I’m excited to finally get behind the wheel of the No. 31 Wolfpack Rental Chevrolet. The team has proved already this season that they put together fast trucks and can run up front each week, which makes me ready to go racing and work with these guys. They have worked hard the past few weeks to get trucks put together and I’m optimistic about our chances to compete with the veterans. Hopefully, Ricky and I can go out there and bring home two solid finishes for the Turner Motorsports team.”

BUESCHER (On being teammates with Ricky Carmichael): “I started racing motocross as a kid. I raced locally but never really got anywhere. When I was 12, my parents decided they didn’t want to worry about me getting hurt so they got me a race car. Now, I’m on the same Truck team as Ricky (Carmichael), who was winning races when I was a kid. Before I even started racing, we’d watch him and Jeremy McGrath – he’s definitely one of the best.”
