TALLADEGA, A.L. (May 7, 2012) – Joey Coulter and the No. 61 Rip It Energy Fuel / Darrell Gwynn Foundation Chevrolet team finished a disappointing 40th at Talladega Superspeedway, after being collected in the “big one” Friday afternoon in the International Motorsports Hall of Fame 250.
Forced to forgo all of Thursday’s planned activities due to rain and inclement weather, ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards officials set the field on 2011 owner’s points and created a sole practice session early Friday morning. Coulter spent the entire 50-minute session making two extended drafting runs with teammate No. 16 Matt Lofton. At session’s end, Coulter would end eighth with a fast time of 52.271 seconds at 183.199 MPH.
