Laura Burba of Pineville, N.C., to receive VIP race experience this weekend in Fontana

On Sept. 22, Richard Childress Racing driver Clint Bowyer surprised Burba with a new Chevrolet Equinox in a special event held outside the NASCAR Hall of Fame in Charlotte. This weekend, The Hartford, Bowyer and his No. 33 team will serve as hosts for the 68-year old and her husband, Roger, as they enjoy a VIP race experience in Fontana, Calif. This will be the couple’s first experience at a race track.
Burba’s essay detailed how important her car is to her, as she drives a group of retiree tap dancers called the MsSteps to multiple weekly performances at senior centers and events across the region. She beat out four other national finalists selected from thousands of entries.
Sunday will mark The Hartford’s third Sprint Cup Series race as primary sponsor of the No. 33 Richard Childress Racing team this year. The other primaries where at Darlington (May 8) and Pocono (Aug. 1). The Hartford is also an associate sponsor for the remaining 2010 events, as well as an associate sponsor for Bowyer’s RCR teammate, Jeff Burton.
