2012 NSCS Aaron’s 499 Final Practice Session Speeds

Aric Almirola - Richard Petty Motorsports Once again it was Aric Almirola, with a lap speed of 196.725 mph, showing the fastest way around Talladega Superspeedway during the final NSCS Aaron's 499 practice session. Matt Kenseth was second fastest with a lap speed of 196.685 mph, and was followed by fellow Roush Fenway Racing teammate, Greg Biffle (196.105 mph) who was third fastest, Denny Hamlin (195.692) fourth fastest and Regan Smith (195.620) was the fifth fastest. Rounding out the top-ten fastest during the "Happy Hour" (final) practice session were David Gilliland (195.281) who was sixth fastest, Joey Logano (195.118 mph) seventh, Marcos Ambrose (195.054) eighth, Kyle Busch (194.745) ninth and Clint Bowyer (194.539) posting the tenth fastest lap speed.
