
Instead, the company reportedly will be the primary sponsor for Joey Logano and his No. 20 Toyota from Joe Gibbs Racing in 10 to 12 Sprint Cup races. It’s expected that Home Depot, the team’s primary sponsor since 1999, will sponsor the car in the other 24 to 26 Cup races.
Dollar General also is expected to be the primary sponsor for Nationwide Series driver Brian Scott and his No. 11 Toyota, also from Joe Gibbs Racing. The company also will be the primary sponsor for several Nationwide races for Joe Gibbs Racing’s No. 18 and No. 20 cars with Kyle Busch and Logano.
The company is expected to confirm the changes during this weekend’s Nationwide-Sprint Cup double-header at Charlotte Motor Speedway. The Nationwide cars have a 200-lap, 300-mile race on Friday night, and the Cup cars have a 334-lap, 500-mile race on Saturday night.
