Cassill Looks to Veteran Crew Chief for Stripe-Free Weekend
Statesville, N.C. (May 8, 2012) - Darlington Raceway isn't very kind to up-and-coming drivers. Many young wheel men have added to the infamous collection of Darlington stripes as they learned to navigate the 1.366-mile egg-shaped oval. Fortunately for Landon Cassill, driver of the No. 83 Burger King/Dr Pepper Toyota, he has a veteran crew chief to help speed up his learning curve. Although Cassill only has one start at Darlington, his crew chief, Doug Richert, has more than two decades of experience at the "Lady in Black."
