Although Theriault was plagued by unfortunate circumstances at Iowa Speedway, the 25-year-old female racer is looking for redemption during her visit to Gresham.

“I couldn’t be more ready to get back on track,” said Theriault. “The last couple of races haven’t resulted in my favor, and I would love to finish my weekend at Gresham on a high note.”

The Slack Auto Parts 150 marks the halfway point of the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East (NKNPSE) 2011 season and is a crucial stop on the series’ schedule. Having raced at Gresham on three separate occasions during her time in the USAR Pro Cup Series, Theriault feels prepared to tackle the half-mile oval.

“Although the track has changed quite a bit since I’ve raced there in Pro Cup, it’s always easier to return to familiar territory,” said Theriault. “I really want Gresham to be the track where we turn our luck around.”

In addition to her experience racing at the track in Pro Cup, Theriault also had the opportunity to test at Gresham last Tuesday. The seat time not only strengthened Theriault’s confidence to maneuver her No.45 machine to a solid finish at Gresham, but built up her excitement for the 150-lap event, too.

“I’m glad that the team and I were able to visit Gresham so that we could be better prepared for the race this weekend,” commented Theriault. “Being able to shake down the car and to familiarize myself with the track again is really going to be beneficial when we show up on Saturday.”

Theriault and her No. 45 ProGold Lubricants / VPParts Warehouse Toyota will take to the track for the 150-lap, 75-mile Slack Auto Parts 150 on Saturday, June 11 at 8:30 p.m. EST. Practice is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., followed by two-lap qualifying at 4:30 p.m. Live audio coverage and lap-by-lap updates of the Slack Auto Parts 150 will be available on nascarhometracks.com.

“Ready to get back to 1.5-Mile Oval at Nashville Superspeedway”

MOORESVILLE, N.C. (July 28, 2010) – Michelle Theriault didn’t choose an easy time to make her 2010 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) debut. With her first race on the half-mile oval of O’Reilly Raceway Park and then traveling to another new, completely different track, the “Tricky Triangle” of Pocono Raceway, the rookie driver has had her work cut out for her so far. Theriault is ready to get to a familiar racetrack, and Nashville Superspeedway 1.5-mile oval is the perfect place.

“I like Nashville a lot,” said Theriault. “Since I started racing in the ARCA Series, the mile-and-half tracks were more my forte. They are what I became really comfortable and confident with. I have a lot of experience at the mile-and-a-half tracks. I feel really good going into Nashville versus the last two weeks where I haven’t had as much experience. It’s a good momentum booster for me going in knowing that I know the track and I’m comfortable. It’s just going to be a matter of getting the truck comfortable rather than also having to learn a new track.”

While Theriault is a NCWTS rookie, she is not a rookie at Nashville Superspeedway. She competed at the 1.5-mile oval in the ARCA Racing Series in 2007, when she started 14th and had a top-10 run going until an electrical problem ended her day with less than 20 laps remaining in the race. Theriault hopes to use that run, along with the momentum from three-straight weeks behind the wheel of her ProGold Lubricants Truck, in Saturday night’s Nashville 200.

“Each week, it is easier to get in the truck and, off the bat, start where we need to be,” explained Therault. “Being that I haven’t raced, and now I’m at three weeks in a row, I feel really positive about that. I feel like that’s the momentum we need to continue and to help me get better as a driver. I am glad that we are continuing to race on a weekly basis and hope to do so for a few more races this year.”

Theriault is set to hit the track at Nashville Superspeedway on Saturday, August 7 for a full day of racing. The first practice for the stars of the NCWTS is set to begin at 10:00 a.m. CDT, with qualifying beginning at 4:05 p.m. CDT. The green flag for the Nashville 200 will drop at 8:00 p.m. CDT. Live Green flag coverage of the Nashville 200 begins at 8:00 p.m. CDT on SPEED.

Michelle Theriault and the No. 49 ProGold Chevrolet Fast Facts

Nashville History: Michelle Theriault has one prior start at Nashville’s 1.5-mile oval. In 2007, she competed in the ARCA Racing Series, where she started 14th and went on to finish 28th after running in the top-10 for most of the afternoon.

ProGold Pro: Theriault is more than a ProGold Lubricants brand ambassador; she’s now also an employee. After most recently working for Speedway Motorsports’ US Legends Cars International as their communications manager, she took a position with the Atlanta-based lubricant company.

Another Female Field: The NCWTS will have two female drivers attempting to take the green flag for yet another weekend. The Truck Series is one of the most diverse series in NASCAR; female diversity is highlighted with drivers, officials and even a female flag-woman.

He will race in the Prairie Meadows 200 at the 7/8 mile asphalt tri-oval race track of Iowa Speedway under Andy Belmont Racing.

Andy Belmont Racing and LoanMax have reached an agreement to field the No.1 LoanMax car for the remainder of the 2009 ARCA RE/MAX Season. The schedule will be split between Brett Butler and his brother Ken Butler, III. The Butler brothers will be racing the No.1 LoanMax Ford Fusion with Roush/Yates motors.

Brett currently runs the full schedule of the USAR ProCup Series for the 2009 season as well. He will now join the Belmont Racing team this season to compete in the ARCA series.

This will be the second time he has raced under this team this season. Earlier this season, Butler took the wheel of a Belmont car in early February at Daytona International Speedway in the ARCA RE/MAX Series qualifying 25th and finishing 39th.

“I am looking forward to running with the boys,” said Andy Belmont, team owner. “I have worked with Brett before at Daytona this year. He qualified really well and was running great, when he got caught up in a wreck. He was really great to work with; I think we will do well.”

Andy Belmont has been involved with racing for 35 years. He has spent 11 years with the ARCA RE/MAX Series and has finished in the top ten in points most of those years. He stepped out of the car in 2006 and has been leading his race team ever since.

“Brett is going to be in a great car,” said Belmont. “This team has been on the poll at Talladega earlier this season and had great finishes with a third at Toledo and a sixth at Salem as well. The boys will have Wayne Carroll as their crew chief. Wayne was with KBIII when he got the pole at Kansas and Nashville last year in ARCA. So Wayne should work with these guys really well.”

You can catch Brett Butler in the ARCA RE/MAX Series this Saturday, July 11th as he tackles Iowa Speedway in the Prairie Meadows 200. The No. 1 LoanMax Ford Fusion will start the race at 8:00 PM EST. For ticket information visit www.iowaspeedway.com.
