2011 Season Brings New Drivers / Crew Chiefs to TriStar Motorsports
- Eric McClure and Mike Bliss will join former NASCAR Nationwide Series Champion Jeff Green at TriStar Motorsports. The three drivers will pilot Chevrolet Impalas powered by Pro Motor Engines for the season.
- NASCAR veteran crew chief Gary Cogswell also joins TriStar Motorsports for the 2011 season. Cogswell, who has worked for teams such as Richard Childress Racing, JTG Racing, and most recently Rick Ware Racing, will serve as crew chief for McClure while returning crew chief, Dave Fuge, will call the shots for Bliss.
This Week’s Impalas for Bliss and Green:
- Mike Bliss will be piloting Chassis # 2 during the Nationwide Series event at DIS. His car was last driven by Tony Raines at Charlotte Motor Speedway. The car qualified in the 34th position and finished in the 20th position.
- Jeff Green will be utilizing chassis # 1 in this weekend’s NNS race at DIS. He piloted this car during the fall event at Charlotte Motor Speedway. He qualified in the 33rd position but was forced to the garage area after four laps for an ignition failure. He posted a 42nd-place finish.
Driver Stats for Daytona:
- Bliss will be competing in his 14th career Nationwide Series event at DIS. He has 24 laps led under his belt and has recorded one top-five and two top-ten finishes in 13 starts. His best of fifth came during the summer event in 2004.
Green will be competing in his 15th career Nationwide Series event come Saturday at DIS. He has led 29 laps and has recorded two top-five and three top-ten finishes at the speedway. His best recorded finish of 2nd came in 2009.

- TriStar Motorsports welcomes Waverly Property Group, Daytona’s #1 independent real-estate company, with a focus on waterfront properties, and its sister company, East Coastal Floridian View, a newly developed magazine that covers a variety of topics for Florida residents and businesses, as sponsors for the DRIVE4COPD300.
- WPG will begin its fourth consecutive year of NASCAR sponsorship with McClure and its logo will be displayed on the lower quarter panel of McClure’s Hefty® BlackOut™ Impala.
- The 2011 season will mark Floridian View’s first year of NASCAR sponsorship. The magazine will serve as a co-primary sponsor on the Impala driven by Bliss and an associate sponsor on the Impala driven by Green during Saturday’s Nationwide Series event.
