After qualifying 28th, Sadler was battling for the 20th spot prior to the first caution period which saw him go one lap down; however, he received the free pass following the caution period, putting his Auto Value/Bumper to Bumper machine back on the lead lap.
Sadler climbed as high as 16th during the second half of the 200-lap contest but a late caution period bunched up the field for the final 20 laps of the event, where he fell back two spots en route to an 18th place finish.
ELLIOTT’S THOUGHTS ON AN 18TH PLACE FINISH
“I’m happy I had the opportunity to race for Auto Value in the Nationwide Series with the folks from Braun Racing. We finished 18th, which isn’t bad since this is our first time working with Braun Racing. This is a great group of guys that did an outstanding job building this car for me. I can’t say enough about this team and the job they did. I just wish I could have finished a touch better to show my appreciation. Hopefully we’ll get to work together again in the future.”
