The 2012 NSCS Aaron's 499 was suppose to be 188 laps, but it ended 6-laps over with a green-white-checkered race to the finish, as Brad Keselowski (being helped by Kyle Busch to take the lead from Matt Kenseth) was able to pull away enough from Kyle Busch, that Busch was unable to challenge Keselowski for the win.
This was Keselowski second series win of the 2012 season, his sixth series career win and his second series win at Talladega Superspeedway.
Following Keselowski and Busch (who finished 0.304 seconds behind) to the drop of the checkered flag was Matt Kenseth finishing third, Kasey Kahne fourth and the current series points leader, Greg Biffle (who now leads Matt Kenseth by 7-points) finishing in fifth.

After a first attempt at a green-white-checkered (flags) finish, a horrific accident that brought out a red flag and a second attempt at a green-white-checkered finish, it was Joey Logano holding off Kyle Busch to win the 2012 NNS Aaron's 312 at Talladega Superspeedway.

For the 20th consecutive NSCS season, Jeff Gordon, with a qualifying lap speed of 191.623 mph, captured the Coors Light Pole Award, as he wins the 2012 Aaron's 499 pole at Talladega Superspeedway.
Gordon, who now ties the "Silver Fox," David Pearson, for the longest streak all-time in consecutive season series poles, received ... 
Once again it was Aric Almirola, with a lap speed of 196.725 mph, showing the fastest way around Talladega Superspeedway during the final NSCS Aaron's 499 practice session.
Matt Kenseth was second fastest with a lap speed of 196.685 mph, and was followed by fellow Roush Fenway Racing ... 
Aric Almirola, with a lap speed of 199.172 mph, was the quickest during the first NSCS Aaron's 499 practice session at Talladega Superspeedway.
Second quickest and with a lap speed of 198.343 mph, was Michael Waltrip, followed by Matt Kenseth (197.986 mph) who was third quickest, Jeff Gordon (197.843) ... 
Kurt and Kyle Busch, with the identical lap speed of 190.045 mph, showed the fastest way around Talladega Superspeedway during the final NNS Aaron's 312 practice session.
Sam Hornish Jr., with a lap speed of 189.703 mph, was third fastest, followed by the defending series champion, Ricky Stenhouse ... 
Thursday rain at Talladega Superspeedway forced NASCAR officials to cancel both NNS Aaron's 312 practice sessions; as well as, Friday's qualifying session. Instead of qualifying on Friday, the teams will have their "Happy Hour" (final) practice session from 12:10 PM - 1:45 PM (ET).
