Shifting Gears for Kids Logo Speedway Children’s Charities to Host Inaugural Drag Race at Kentucky Speedway SPARTA, Ky. – For the first time in its history, Kentucky Speedway is opening its doors to the public and offering them the opportunity to drag race on the track’s backstretch. The Inaugural “Shifting Gears for Kids” Drag Race is hosted by the Kentucky Chapter of Speedway Children’s Charities (SCC) and will be held Friday, June 5 from 6:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m. For a donation to SCC, racers can drag race 1/8 of a mile down the backstretch of Kentucky Speedway, which has 5 degrees of banking. Jeff Gordon To FOX Booth For 2016 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Season

Gordon will join play-by-play announcer Mike Joy and analyst Darrell Waltrip in the booth for the network’s race broadcasts.
