Difficult Day for Germán Quiroga and the No. 77 Team at Pocono Raceway

Quiroga finished third in his career-first race there in 2013, and he was eager to improve upon that result. As soon as he hit the track on Friday morning for the first practice session however, he knew they didn't have the set up they needed in order to be competitive. The team worked hard all weekend to make the necessary changes to the yellow and black Toyota Tundra, and after posting a 24th-place qualifying lap, the No. 77 crew made additional adjustments needed prior to the start of the race. (Oct. 24, 2014) – Jamie McMurray drove his No. 1 McDonald’s Chevrolet SS to the pole position Friday at Martinsville Speedway for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series’ Goody’s Headache Relief Shot 500. McMurray posted a lap of 18.954 seconds (99.905 mph) for his second career pole position at the track. McMurray’s lap was good enough for a 0.057-second gap back to second place and his 11th career pole in the Sprint Cup Series.
